Optimizing Network Lifetime of RPL Based IOT Networks Using Neural Network Based Cuckoo Search Algorithm

  • Routing Protocol for Low-Power and Lossy Networks (RPLs) in Internet of Things (IoT) is currently one of the most popular wireless technologies for sensor communication. RPLs are typically designed for specialized applications, such as monitoring or tracking, in either indoor or outdoor conditions, where battery capacity is a major concern. Several routing techniques have been proposed in recent years to address this issue. Nevertheless, the expansion of the network lifetime in consideration of the sensors' capacities remains an outstanding question. In this research, aANN-CUCKOO based optimization technique is applied to obtain a more efficient and dependable energy efficient solution in IOT-RPL. The proposed method uses time constraints to minimise the distance between source and sink with the objective of a low-cost path. By considering the mobility of the nodes, the technique outperformed with an efficiency of 98% compared with other methods. MATLAB software is used to simulate the proposed model.

  • Optical characteristics of $YCOB(YCa_4B_3O_{10})$, known as a crystal of self frequency doubling, was investigated when Yb and Er ions were co-doped 20 % and 2 %, respectively. The absorption cross section of Er,Yb:YCOB crystal at $1.0\;{\mu}m$ was larger than that of Yb:YCOB, which means that the former was profitable for more energy absorption than the latter. The fluorescent lifetime at $1.5\;{\mu}m$ was measured to be 1.27 ms at room temperature, and lengthened to 1.54 ms and 1.62 ms at low temperatures of 77 K and 6 K, respectively. The line widths of fluorescent spectrum at $1.5\;{\mu}m$ were getting narrower as lowering temperature. However, we didn't observe a temperature dependent peak wavelength shift.

Long-Term Shelf Lifetime of Polymer:Nonfullerene Solar Cells Stored under Dark and Indoor Light Environment

  • Here we report the long-term stability of polymer:nonfullerene solar cells which were stored under dark and indoor light condition. The polymer:nonfullerene solar cells were fabricated using bulk heterojunction (BHJ) layers of poly[(2,6-(4,8-bis(5-(2-ethylhexyl) thiophen-2-yl)-benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']dithiophene))-alt-(5,5-(1',3'-di-2-thienyl-5',7-bis(2-ethylhexyl)benzo[1',2'-c:4',5'-c']dithiophene-4,8-dione))] (PBDB-T) and 3,9-bis(6-methyl-2-methylene-(3-(1,1-dicyanomethylene)-indanone))-5,5,11,11-tetrakis(4-hexylphenyl)-dithieno[2,3-d:2',3-d']-s-indaceno[1,2-b:5,6-b']dithiophene (IT-M). To investigate their long-term stability, the PBDB-T:IT-M solar cells were stored in an argon-filled glove box. One set of the fabricated solar cells was completely covered with an aluminum foil to prevent any effect of light, whereas another set was exposed to indoor light. The solar cells were subjected to a regular performance measurement for 40 weeks. Results revealed that the PBDB-T:IT-M solar cells underwent a gradual decay in performance irrespective of the storage condition. However, the PBDB-T:IT-M solar cells stored under indoor light condition exhibited relatively lower power conversion efficiency (PCE) than those stored under the dark. The inferior stability of the solar cells under indoor light was explained by the noticeably changed optical absorption spectra and dark spot generation, indicative of degradations in the BHJ layers.

81 mm 조명탄용 마그네슘계 조명제 저장수명 예측 (Storage Life Estimation of Magnesium Flare Material for 81 mm Illuminating Projectile)

  • It is necessary to both analyze root-cause of non-conformance of effective illumination time to the specification, and estimate the storage lifetime for 81 mm illuminating projectile stockpiled over 10 years. In this paper, aging mechanism of magnesium flare material due to long-term storage was supposed, and two-stage tests, pre-test and main test based on accelerated degradation tests were performed. Field storage environment of moistureproof was set up, and illumination times in the accelerated degradation tests for temperatures 60 and $70^{\circ}C$ were measured. Then, storage reliability of the projectile was estimated through analyzing the measured data and applying distribution-based degradation models to the data. The $B_{10}$ life by which 10 % of a population of the projectiles will have failed at storage temperature of $25^{\circ}C$ was estimated about 7 years.

폴리아미드 66 복합소재의 열 열화 특성: 수명 예측과 활성화 에너지의 상관관계 (Characterization of Thermal Degradation of Polymide 66 Composite: Relationship between Lifetime Prediction and Activation Energy)

  • 광학현미경분석, 주사전자현미경분석 및 적외선분광분석을 이용하여, 열화시간 경과에 따른 유리섬유가 보강된 폴리아미드 66 복합소재의 열 열화 특성을 조사하였다. 열화시간이 증가함에 따라, 인장강도는 열화 초기 약간의 증가 후 점진적으로 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 열 열화가 진행됨에 따라 결정화도의 증가, 가교밀도의 증가, 사슬 전단 및 사슬 운동성의 감소 등에 기인한 것으로 판단된다. 적외선분광분석을 통하여, 폴리아미드 66 복합소재 표면상에 열화에 기인한 케톤 피크와 규소 피크의 증가를 관찰하엿다. 또한 세 가지 승온속에서 측정된 열중량분석 결과를 이용하여 폴리아미드 66 복합소재으 열 분해 반응동역학을 분석하였다. 통계학적 기법, UL 746B, Ozawa 및 Kissinger 등 여러 방법을 통해 계산된, 폴리아미드 66 복합소재의 활성화 에너지와 수명 예측간의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 열중량분석으로부터 계산된 활성화 에너지는 가속시험으로 구한 값보다 상대적으로 큰 값을 나타내며, 이는 폴리아미드 66 소재으 수명을 과대 평가하는 결과를 초래하였다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 사용 온도에서의 활성화 에너지를 외삽하여 계산 가능한 지수 패턴의 표준곡선을 개발하였다.

IBC형 태양전지를 위한 균일하게 증착된 비정질 실리콘 층의 광섬유 레이저를 이용한 붕소 도핑 방법 (Boron Doping Method Using Fiber Laser Annealing of Uniformly Deposited Amorphous Silicon Layer for IBC Solar Cells)

  • Boron doping on an n-type Si wafer is requisite process for IBC (Interdigitated Back Contact) solar cells. Fiber laser annealing is one of boron doping methods. For the boron doping, uniformly coated or deposited film is highly required. Plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) method provides a uniform dopant film or layer which can facilitate doping. Because amorphous silicon layer absorption range for the wavelength of fiber laser does not match well for the direct annealing. In this study, to enhance thermal affection on the existing p-a-Si:H layer, a ${\mu}c$-Si:H intrinsic layer was deposited on the p-a-Si:H layer additionally by PECVD. To improve heat transfer rate to the amorphous silicon layer, and as heating both sides and protecting boron eliminating from the amorphous silicon layer. For p-a-Si:H layer with the ratio of $SiH_4$ : $B_2H_6$ : $H_2$ = 30 : 30 : 120, at $200^{\circ}C$, 50 W, 0.2 Torr for 30 minutes, and for ${\mu}c$-Si:H intrinsic layer, $SiH_4$ : $H_2$ = 10 : 300, at $200^{\circ}C$, 30 W, 0.5 Torr for 60 minutes, 2 cm $\times$ 2 cm size wafers were used. In consequence of comparing the results of lifetime measurement and sheet resistance relation, the laser condition set of 20 ~ 27 % of power, 150 ~ 160 kHz, 20 ~ 50 mm/s of marking speed, and $10\;{\sim}\;50 {\mu}m$ spacing with continuous wave mode of scanner lens showed the correlation between lifetime and sheet resistance as $100\;{\Omega}/sq$ and $11.8\;{\mu}s$ vs. $17\;{\Omega}/sq$ and $8.2\;{\mu}s$. Comparing to the singly deposited p-a-Si:H layer case, the additional ${\mu}c$-Si:H layer for doping resulted in no trade-offs, but showed slight improvement of both lifetime and sheet resistance, however sheet resistance might be confined by the additional intrinsic layer. This might come from the ineffective crystallization of amorphous silicon layer. For the additional layer case, lifetime and sheet resistance were measured as $84.8\;{\Omega}/sq$ and $11.09\;{\mu}s$ vs. $79.8\;{\Omega}/sq$ and $11.93\;{\mu}s$. The co-existence of $n^+$layeronthesamesurfaceandeliminating the laser damage should be taken into account for an IBC solar cell structure. Heavily doped uniform boron layer by fiber laser brings not only basic and essential conditions for the beginning step of IBC solar cell fabrication processes, but also the controllable doping concentration and depth that can be established according to the deposition conditions of layers.

가전제품용 경첩의 신뢰성 추정 (Reliability Estimation of Door Hinge for Rome Appliances)

  • This paper presents the reliability estimation of door hinge for home appliances, which consists of bushing and shaft. The predominant failure mechanism of bushing made of polyoxymethylene(POM) is brittle fracture due to decrease of strength caused by voids existing, and that of shaft made of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene(ABS) is creep due to plastic deformation caused by excessive temperature and lowering of glass transition temperature by absorbed moisture. Since the brittle fracture of bushing is overstress failure mechanism, the load-strength interference model is used to estimate the failure rate of it along with failure analysis. By the way, the creep of shaft is wearout failure mechanism, and an accelerated life test is then planned and implemented to estimate its lifetime. Through the technical review about failure mechanism, temperature and humidity are selected as accelerating variables. Assuming Weibull lifetime distribution and Eyring model, the life-stress relationship and acceleration factor, $B_{10}$ life and its lower bound with $90\%$ confidence at worst case use condition are estimated by analyzing the accelerated life test data.

플러그인형 소형 공기압 매니폴드 밸브의 수명 및 성능열화특성에 관한 연구 (Life and Performance Degradation Characteristics for Small-Sized Plug-In Type Pneumatic Manifold Valves)

  • 공기압 밸브는 자동화 시스템에 공급되는 공기를 제어하는 기능을 지닌 핵심부품으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만 공기압 밸브가 고장이 발생하면 설치되는 시스템의 특성상 전체 시스템에 영향을 미쳐 막대한 손실을 야기 시킬 수 있다. 이로 인하여 최근 신뢰성에 대한 중요성 및 소비자의 요구수준이 날로 증대되고 있어 밸브의 수명을 예측하여 제품의 신뢰성을 확보하기 위한 수명분포, 수명열화 특성 등과 같은 연구가 널리 진행되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 공기압 밸브의 수명예측을 위한 핵심요소인 모수 도출 및 제안을 위하여, 최근 널리 사용되고 있는 플러그인형 공기압 매니폴드 밸브의 척도모수 및 $B_{10}$ 수명값을 완전데이터 수명관측 방법으로 측정하였으며, 수명분포 특성을 확인하기 위하여 상관계수값을 이용한 분포 적합성 검토와 주요성능 결정항목인 동적응답과 누설이 수명에 따라 열화되는 특성을 분석한 결과를 제시한다.

미량분석을 위한 Sm, Eu과 Tb의 레이저 여기 형광 특성 분석 (Study on the Characteristics of Laser-induced Fluorescence from Trace Samarium, Europium and Terbium)

  • 본 연구에서는 소형 펄스 질소 레이저를 여기 광원으로 사용하여 Sm, Eu 및 Tb를 각각에서 나오는 독특한 형광 파장과 lifetime 차이를 이용하여 효과적으로 정량 분석할 수 있는 방법을 연구하였다. 적절한 complexing agents(TTA또는 HFA)와 band-pass filter에 의한 형광 파장 선택과 신호 처리 부분에서의 형광 lifetime차이를 고려한 delay time과 gate time의 조절에 의해 형광 신호를 처리함으로써 상호 분리분석이 가능하였다. S $m^{+3}$ 과 E $u^{+3}$ 의 경우 두 complexing agents 용액 모두에서 5ppb-10ppm 및 0.5ppb-2ppm 범위에서 농도에 대한 intensity의 직선성이 우수하였고, T $b^{+3}$ 의 경우는 HFA complexing agent용액에서만 0.1ppb-300ppb 범위에서 직선성이 우수하였다. 검출한계는 S $m^{+3}$ 의 경우 5ppb, E $u^{+3}$ 의 경우 0.1ppb, T $b^{+3}$ 의 경우 0.01ppb의 매우 낮은 값을 나타내었다.

음극 아크 이온플레이팅법으로 코팅된 TiN 박막의 수명결정요인에 관한 연구 (A study on life decision factors of TiN films coated by Cathode Arc ion Plating Method)

  • The life time of cutting tool was studied in the relation with the properties of TiN coating tools. The purpose of this study is to compare the cutting conditions of the TiN coated tools with those of the non-coated tools and to find out the optimal cutting condition of the TiN coated tool. The coated tools were prepared by the sputtering process at $4$\times$10^{-3}$Torr. When the cutting speed is increased 22.2% from 90m/min, the limited life of coating bite was decreased by 60.61%, but non-coating bite was decreased by 64.05%. In the tool lifetime equation of the coated tools "a"(exponent of feed rate) was not much changed in comparison with that of the non-coated tools but "n" (exponent of tool′s life) was increased by 9.3% and "b" (exponent of cutting depth) was increased by 2.4%. It was thought to be that TiN coated tools was used for higher cutting speed than non-coated tools to improve the lifetime of the coated tools.
