In this paper, we study the viscoelastic Kirchhoff type equation with a nonlinear source for each independent kernels h and g with respect to Volterra terms. Under the smallness condition with respect to Kirchhoff coefficient and the relaxation function and other assumptions, we prove the uniform decay rate of the Kirchhoff type energy.
We used $^1H$ nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to study the phase transitions and molecular dynamics in a characteristic ferroelectric liquid crystal with a carbon number n = 7, S-2-methylbutyl 4-n-heptyloxybiphenyl-4'-carboxylate (C7). The results were compared with those of our recent work on S-2-methylbutyl 4-n-octanoyloxybiphenyl-4'-carboxylate (C8), with a carbon number n = 8. While the recrystallization and isotropic phase transitions exhibited a first-order nature in the $^1H$ NMR spin-lattice and spin-spin relaxation measurements, a second-order nature was shown at the Sm-A - Sm-$C^*$ liquid crystalline phase transition. A soft-mode anomaly arising from the tilt angle amplitude fluctuation of the director, of which only a hint had been noticed in the C8 system, was manifested in the C7 system at this transition.
In this isolated study, it was aimed to elucidate the pharmacological properties of non-cholinergic, non-adrenergic inhibitory responses in the longitudinal strips of rabbit portal vein. 1) The portal vein responded inhibitory to electrical field stimulation in a frequency - and calcium-dependent manner after pretreatment with atropine, guanethidine and ergotamine, simultaneously. 2) When exogenous ATP, ADP, adenosine and cyclic AMP were added, respectively, they only showed the relaxations in the higher concentration without mimicing or affecting the inhibitory response induced by the electrical stimulation. The antagonist of purine substances, neither quinine nor isobutyl-methyl xanthine did influence on the relaxation. 3) The inhibitory response was significantly increased in the presence of $1{\mu}g/ml 4-amino-pyrineine (4-AP) which is $K^+-conduction$ blockade, but higher concentration of 4-AP directly decreased the vascular tone. 4) Though repeated application of ATP revealed the inhibitory effect on the relaxation, however, that of adenosine resulted rather increase of the amplitude. 5) After pretreatment with $^3H-adenosine$, $^3H-efflux$ induced by ATP or adenosine was markedly enhanced, but the electrical stimulation caused less $^3H-efflux$. 6) ^3H-efflux by electrical stimulation was not affected by the administration 4-AP, tetrodotoxin and adenosine.
We study for long-term performance of amorphous silicon solar cells under light exposure. The performance is predicted with a kinetic model in which the carrier lifetimes are determined by the defect density. In particular, the kinetic model is described by the stretched-exponential relaxation of defects to reach equilibrium. In this report, we simulate the light-induced degradation of the amorphous silicon solar cells with the kinetic model and AMPS-1D computer program. And data measured for outdoor performances of various solar cells are compared with the simulated results. This study focuses on examining the light-induced degradation for the following amorphous silicon pin solar cells: thickness${\approx}$300 nm, built-in potential${\approx}$1.05 V, defect density (at t=0)${\approx}5{\times}10^{15}cm^{-3}$, short-circuit current density (at t=0)${\approx}15.8mA/cm^2$, fill factor (at t=0)${\approx}0.691$, open-circuit voltage (at t=0)${\approx}0.865V$, conversion efficiency (at t=0)${\approx}9.50%$.

The work describes EPR and 17O NMR measurements followed by theoretical calculation of the rotational correlation time $({\tau}_R)$, the water residence time $({\tau}_m)$, and the longitudinal electronic spin relaxation time $(T_{le})$(T_1e) for two new gadolinium complexes 1 and 2 of the type [$Gd(L)(H_2O)$] (L = tranexamic esters) in order to investigate their efficiency as a paramagnetic contrast agent (PCA). Of three correlation times, τR plays a major and predominant role to the unusually high relaxivity of 1 and 2 as compared with that of clinically approved MR CAs such as [$Gd(DTPA)(H_2O)]2‐ (Magnevist${\circledR}$), [Gd(DTPA-BMA)(H2O)] (Omniscan${\circledR}$), and $[Gd(DOTA)(H_2O)]^-$ (Dotarem${\circledR}$). The presence of bulky tranexamic ester in the ligand seems to be responsible for the conformational rigidity, which in turn causes such great an increase in ${\tau}_R$.
Photophysics of 10-hydroxybenzo[h]quinoline (HBQ) has been in controversy, in particular, on the nature of the electronic states before and after the excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT), even though the dynamics and mechanism of the ESIPT have been well established. We report highly time resolved fluorescence spectra over the full emission frequency regions of the enol and keto isomers and the anisotropy in time domain to determine the accurate rates of the population decay, spectral relaxation and anisotropy decay of the keto isomer. We have shown that the ~300 fs component observed frequently in ESIPT dynamics arises from the $S_2{\rightarrow}S_1$ internal conversion in the reaction product keto isomer and that the ESIPT occurs from the enol isomer in $S_1$ state to the keto isomer in $S_2$ state.

Polyvinylidene fluoride( : PVDF) has piezoelectric and pyroelectric. The ${\beta}-PVDF$ manufactured by induced-electric field. In accordance to increasing induced-electric field, the 530 $cm^{-1}$ peak decrease, whereas $510cm^{-1}$ peak increase. The dielectric constant of PVDF thin film is 6.8 and 10 MV/m induced-PVDF thin film is 9.4. The dielectric relaxation characteristic of PVDF thin films correspond to Debye's theory.
We have calculated energies and structures for the hydrogen bonded clusters between trimethyl phosphate and nitric acids. The hydrogen bond lengths between phosphoryl oxygen and the proton of nitric acid are short compared to normal hydrogen bonds, and the H-bond strengths are fairly strong. The hydrogen bond length becomes longer, and the strength becomes weaker, as more nitric acids are bound to the TMP. The average H-bond strengths for the $TMP-(HNO_3)_n$ complexes with n = 1, 2, and 3, are 9.6, 7.9 and 6.4kcal/mol at 300K respectively. Weak hydrogen bonds between nitrate oxygen and methyl proton might contribute to the stability of the clusters. Not only the BSSE but also the fragment relaxation energies should be considered to calculate hydrogen bond strengths for the complexes accurately.
This study was to examine the effect of functional properties of soy protein isolate(SPI) and qualities of soybean curd upon proteolytic hydrolysis. SPI was hydrolyzed using proteolytic enzyme, bromelain. The protein content of SPI by microkjeldahl method was 84% and the degree of hydrolysis in modified soy protein isolate(MSPI) was 2.7%. The solubility of MSPI was higher than that of control at various pH tested and proteolytic hydrolysis was increased emulsion formation and foam expansion while decreased emulsion stability, foam stability and calcium precipitation. Modified soybean curdI, standard soybean milk: Modified soybean milk=3:1, was soft and springy soybean curd when the texture properties of soybean curd were tested by texture profile analysis using Instron and sensory evaluation. The rheological model of soybean curds was investigated by stress relaxation test. The analysis of relaxation curve revealed that the rheological behavior of soybean curds could be expressed by 7-element generalized Maxwell model. The equilibrium modulus and modulus of elasticity decreased as the ratio of modified soybean milk was increased.
