Aim & Scope
The International Journal of Fluid Machinery and Systems (IJFMS) is an open access journal and was established under the cooperation of Korean Society for Fluid Machinery (KSFM), Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics (CSET), Turbomachinery Society of Japan (TSJ) and IAHR Section on Hydraulic Machinery and Systems (IAHR) to serve the engineering community through dissemination of new technology and ideas concerning all types of fluid machinery and related systems. Accepted papers will be published electronically and uploaded on J-Stage (http://www.jstage.jst.go.jp) as soon as their acceptance. Anybody can view and download the papers for free through the publication page linked to "IJFMS issues" on left-hand side of this page. After the inaugural issue of Vol.1 (2008), No.1 (October-December), four issues (numbers) are published each year: No.1 (January-March), No.2 (April-June), No.3 (July-September), No.4 (October-December). Papers accepted during each period are uploaded as soon as the final manuscripts are submitted without waiting for the closing date of each issue. The DOI number has been assigned to each paper since Vol. 3, No. 3. IJFMS is indexed by Elsevier: SCOPUS and EI Compendix (CPX) since April 2013. IJFMS treats all engineering aspects of fluid machinery and systems including design, manufacturing, operation and new application as listed below. It welcomes technical papers as well as academic papers as far as they include new ideas useful for fluid machinery and systems. Although no explicit distinction will be made between technical and academic papers, rapid dissemination of the new technology is more respected than the completeness for technical papers.
