어린이급식관리지원센터와 보육시설의 유아 당류 섭취 줄이기 영양교육 실태 및 요구도 (A Study on the Current Status and Needs of Nutrition Education on Children's Sugar Intake Reduction among the Center for Children's Foodservice Management and Child Care Facilities)

  • 본 연구는 유아 당류 줄이기 교육프로그램 개발 및 운영을 위한 기초자료를 마련하기 위하여 전국 어린이급식관리지원센터(115개)와 보육시설(646개) 총 761개소의 유아 당류 교육실태, 유아의 당류 섭취 줄이기 영양교육 요구도, 유아 당류 교육의 필요성, 프로그램의 개발과 보급의 필요성 등을 조사하였다. 유아를 대상으로 당류 섭취 줄이기를 주요 주제로 영양교육을 실시하는 비율은 어린이급식관리지원센터 14.8%, 보육시설이 31.9%로 나타났고, 영양교육의 내용 중에 일부 포함하여 교육을 실시한 경우는 어린이급식관리지원센터 47.8%, 보육시설 42.4%였다. 유아 대상 당류 영양교육의 필요성에 대한 질문에서는 센터와 보육시설 두 곳 모두 90% 이상이 필요하다는 높은 요구도를 보였다. 당류 영양교육을 실시하지 않는 경우, 그 이유에 대하여 어린이급식관리지원센터는 다른 시급한 영양교육이 많아서, 보육시설은 당류 영양교육 자료가 부족하여서의 비율이 높았다. 학부모를 대상으로 유아 당류 섭취를 주제로 영양교육을 실시한 비율은 어린이급식관리지원센터 및 보육시설 모두에서 20% 정도로 낮았고, 학부모 대상 유아의 당류 영양교육을 실시한다면 적합한 교육방법에 대한 의견에 대하여 어린이급식관리지원센터는 집단교육을 통한 강연의 비율이 높았으며, 보육시설은 영양상담의 비율이 높았다. 어린이급식관리지원센터에서 교사 또는 원장은 유아 당류 섭취를 주제로 교육을 실시한 경우는 14.8%로 낮았던 반면, 보육시설에서 유아 당류 섭취교육 관련 교사 연수가 필요하다는 비율은 68.0%로 높았다. 유아 대상 영양교육을 할 경우, 적합한 교육 실시 내용으로 두 곳 모두 '당류 섭취와 충치'와 '당류 섭취와 비만'이 높은 반면, '당류 함량이 높은 식품'과 '당류 섭취를 줄이기 위한 실천행동'은 낮았다. 효과적인 영양교육 방법으로는 '동화나 인형극을 활용한 교육'이 두 군 모두 80% 이상 높게 나타났고, 영양교육 담당자로는 센터 영양사와 보육시설 담임교사가 함께 하여야 한다는 의견이 두 군 모두에서 높았다. 바람직한 영양교육 요구 횟수에 대하여 센터는 평균 2.7회, 보육시설은 4.0회로 보육시설에서 원하는 교육 횟수가 높았고, 바람직한 교육모형으로 센터의 방문교육 후 추가적인 교육은 교재 교구 배부 후 교사들이 교육하는 방법이 두 군 모두에서 90% 정도로 높았다. 유아의 당류 섭취를 줄이기 위한 표준 교육프로그램의 개발과 필요성에 대하여 매우 필요하다와 필요하다고 답한 비율은 두 기관 모두 90% 이상의 비율을 보였다. 이상과 같이 본 연구를 통해 유아 당류 섭취에 관한 교육은 유아, 학부모, 교사 대상으로 실시하고 있는 비율이 낮으며, 수행되더라도 영양교육의 일부로 실시되고 있는 것으로 나타났으나, 교육 프로그램의 개발과 운영에 대한 요구도는 높음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 교육의 형태나 횟수, 내용, 방법 등에 대한 조사자료는 전국의 어린이급식관리지원센터와 센터회원 보육시설을 대상으로 수집된 자료이므로 어린이급식관리지원센터를 기반으로 체계적인 유아 당류 섭취 줄이기 영양교육 프로그램 개발에 적용할 수 있는 객관적인 자료로 중요하다고 생각된다. 따라서 향후 유아 당류 교육 프로그램 개발과 함께 교육 효과를 평가하는 연구가 지속적으로 수행되어 국가기관인 식품의약품안전처 산하 어린이급식관리지원센터를 중심으로 한 우리나라 영유아 당류 섭취 영양 관리 체계가 마련되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

Effects of Nutritional Education and Physical Exercise Program on Nutritional and Health Status of Obese Children in Busan Metropolitan City

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of a nutritional education and physical exercise program on obese children (47 boys and 36 girls). The nutritional education and physical exercise program was provided for 6 weeks and dietary habits, nutrient intake and hematological profiles were measured before and after the program. The BMI (body mass index, $kg/m^2$) in male children was significantly reduced to $24.58{\pm}2.81$ from $25.89{\pm}3.27$ (p<0.01) and it was significantly reduced to $24.29{\pm}3.51$ from $25.21{\pm}3.59$ in female children after the completion of nutritional education and exercise program. Body fat in male children was remarkably reduced to $32.69{\pm}7.74%$ after education from $37.38{\pm}9.21%$ (p<0.001). After the program total cholesterol concentration in male children was reduced to $176.48{\pm}29.10\;mg/dL$ from $196.03{\pm}29.10\;mg/dL$, whereas there was no significant difference in females before and after the nutritional education and exercise program. The grasping power of male children (p<0.05) and backmuscle strength of male (p<0.05) and female children (p<0.001) were significantly increased after the exercise program. The nutrient intakes that were different before and after the nutrition education were calories (p<0.05) and carbohydrate (p<0.05) in male children, and a significant increase in intake of vitamin A (p<0.05) was found in female children. There was a significant difference in meal time regularity before and after program. The findings of this study showed that there was a significant decrease in both body fat and weight, in addition to normalization of hematological profiles after the completion of nutrition education and physical exercise programs.

영유아 자녀를 둔 아버지의 부모교육에 대한 인식 (Father's Perception of Parent Education with Children Aged 1 through 5 Year-Old)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the nature of parent education programs for fathers with children aged 1 through 5 year-old. One-Hundred forty-four fathers were answered using questionaire designed to elicit their perception of fathering, the details of domain parent education, and parent education program. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively to determine the contents of parent education program as perceived by the fathers. The results of this study were as follows; 1. Fathers perceived about parent education as 'The training of living behavior', 'The education about essential method of living manners and the guidance for children.' Also, fathers commented some difficult points of raising children as; 'children' sickness', 'Parents' permission or control', and 'Childrens' stubborness'. Many fathers pointed their shortages; 'to be a model of habit and behavior', 'Lacking of enough experience and imagination to their children', and 'Limiting parent's patience to their children'. 2. On the domain of parent education, six subscales of requisite degree was very high. The highest requisite domains like three questions of 34 subordinate question was; 'to encourage their children their children', knowledge about how to develop children' emotions', 'knowledge of their influence to their children' humanity'. 3. Fathers answered that a parent education was needed in infant period. They choose suitable time and place, from p.m.6 to p.m. 9 on a day and once in a week in the kindergarten. Also, the contents of parent education program were needed in order as follows; 'Communication method with a child', 'Formation of living behavior'. Moreover, 77.6% of fathers wanted to participate in the parent education program.

또래 괴롭힘 피해아의 특성에 기초한 중재 프로그램의 개발 : 부모교육 프로그램과 사회적 기술 훈련 프로그램을 중심으로 (The Development of Intervention Programs Based on Characteristics of Children Victimized by Peers:Focus on Parent Education and Social Skills Training Programs)

  • Based on characteristics of victims, the parent education program focused on building a new concept of personal respect toward their children and on changing overprotective and coercive parenting styles into democratic parenting. The social skills training program focused on building self-acceptance, self-esteem and interpersonal capabilities in victimized children. Three groups, each composed of 6 victims and their mothers, were compared to examine the effectiveness of the programs. Children in experimental group I showed marked increase in self-esteem. They also reported that their mothers' overprotective parenting decreased after participation in the parent education program, indicating the effectiveness of the intervention program.

Sexual Knowledge, Sexual Attitudes, and Perceptions and Actualities of Sex Education among Elementary School Parents

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to understand sexual knowledge, sexual attitudes, and the perceptions and actualities of sex education among parents of elementary school children. Methods: This is a descriptive study with a sample size of 337. SPSS version 21.0 was used for data analysis, including descriptive analyses, the t-test, and Pearson correlation analysis. Results: More than 50% of the participants responded that primary sex education for young children should be the responsibility of the parents and that education should be stared during the elementary school period. A moderate correlation was found between parents' sexual knowledge and sexual attitudes (r=.44). Most parents were afraid to provide sex education because of their unfamiliarity with teaching methods and their lack of knowledge. However, 50 of the parents wanted to receive sex-related education. Conclusion: We found that parents would like to learn more about sex education from expert lectures or professional organizations. They were interested in topics including the sexual structure of males/females and sexual physiology. Open communication between parents and their children regarding sex-related issues is important. It is crucial to provide accurate and up-to-date sex education information to parents so that they can effectively teach their children at home.

유아의 부정적 정서표현에 대한 어머니의 반응이 유아의 사회적 힘에 미치는 영향: 유아의 정서조절 능력의 매개효과 (The Effect of Mothers' Reactions to Children's Negative Emotions on the Children's Social Power: The Mediating Effect of Children's Emotional Regulation Ability)

  • Objective: This study examined the effects of mothers' reactions to children's negative emotions on the children's social power through children's emotional regulation ability. Methods: A total of 339 four-year and five- year old preschoolers, and their mother and teachers in Seoul and Gyeongi participated in the study. Data were analyzed by path analysis using AMOS 21.0 program. Results: The results were as follows: First, mothers' reactions to children's negative emotions were significantly related to children's emotional regulation ability and social power. Also, children's emotional regulation ability was significantly associated with children's social power. Second, mothers' reactions to children's negative emotions had indirect effects on social power - prosocial leadership and social dominance-through children's emotional regulation ability. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study revealed the mediating role of children's emotional regulation ability between mothers' reactions to children's negative emotions and children's social power. Also, these findings will be helpful in order to understand children's social power and to develop parent education programs.

영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 심리적 요인 및 환경적 요인과 자녀가치관 간의 관계 (The Relationship between Psychological and Environmental Factors and Value of Children of Mothers with Young Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate differences in the value of children according to the demographic characteristics of mothers with young children. This was to examine the relationship between psychological and environmental factors, and the value of children to mothers with young children. The participants of this study were 237 mothers, who had young children. Descriptive statistics, t-test, F-test, and Pearson's correlation analysis were used for data analysis. The results were as follows: First, the value of children was different according to the child's factors (gender and number of children in the family, etc.), the mother's factors (age and education, etc), and the family's factors (household income and cost of bringing up the child). Second, familism is related to emotional value and instrumental value, parenting efficacy is related to emotional value and social value, children's temperament is related to emotional value, and the value of children from mother's reference group is related to emotional value and instrumental value, social value, and burdensome value. As for the implication of these findings, value of children from mother's reference groups is important for changing the value of children of the mothers with young children.

빅데이터를 통해 살펴본 유아 재난안전교육에 대한 사회적 인식 (Social Perception of Disaster Safety Education for Young Children through Big Data)

  • 본 연구는 Textom 빅데이터를 바탕으로 유아 재난안전교육에 대한 사회 전반의 인식을 살펴보고 유아 재난안전교육의 방향을 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2014년부터 2017년 까지 포털 웹사이트에서 '유아+재난+안전교육'을 키워드로 온라인 텍스터 데이터를 수집하고 분석하였다. 수집된 원자료는 1차와 2차 데이터 정제과정을 거쳤으며, 빈도분석 결과를 바탕으로 주요단어 50개를 선정하였으며, 선정된 키워드는 매트릭스 데이터로 변환하여 네트워크 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 유아 재난안전교육과 함께 가장 높은 빈도로 등장한 키워드로는 '교육'이었으며, 그 다음으로 '체험', '유치원', '예방', '학교' 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중심성 분석 결과, 연결중심성, 근접중심성, 매개중심성이 가장 높은 키워드 역시 '교육', '체험', '예방' 순으로 나타났다. 또한 '예방', '생활', '대피' 키워드는 빈도순위보다 연결중심성에서 높은 순위가 나타나 단어들 간의 연결정도가 높다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 결과들은 유아의 재난안전능력을 증진시키기 위해서는 유아기에 '교육'이 필요하며, 교육기관에서 '예방'과 '체험'을 통한 교육이 이루어져야 함을 시사한다.

유아의 또래 상호작용, 자기조절과 리더십간의 관계 연구: 자기조절의 매개효과 분석 (Relationship between Peer Interaction, Self-regulation and Leadership of Young Children: Analysis on Mediating Effect of Self-Regulation)

  • 본 연구는 유아의 또래 상호작용과 자기조절, 리더십 간의 관계를 밝히고, 또래와의 상호작용이 유아의 리더십에 미치는 영향에서 자기조절의 매개효과를 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 서울, 경인 지역의 유아교육기관에 재원 중인 만 4-5세 유아 211명이었고 유치원과 어린이집 근무한 교사 대상으로 질문지를 조사 실시하여 수집된 자료 분석 하였다. 분석은 SPSS 21 프로그램을 이용하여 평균, 표준편차, 왜도, 첨도, 상관분석을 실시하였고 Amos 21 프로그램을 이용하여 구조방정식모형을 검증하여 다음 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 유아의 긍정적 또래상호작용, 자기조절, 리더십 간에는 유의한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 또래상호작용은 유아 리더십에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았고, 자기조절은 유아 리더십에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 또래상호작용은 유아 자기조절에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며 또래상호작용이 유아 리더십에 미치는 영향 관계에서 자기조절은 유의한 매개효과 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 유아의 리더십 교육에 있어 주목해야 할 요소로서 유아의 또래 상호작용과 자기조절의 중요성을 시사한다.

순환적 공감모형기반 유아 공감능력증진프로그램이 공감능력 및 또래 유능성과 정서지능에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of a Cyclical Empathy Model-based Young Children Empathy Enhancement Program on Empathy, Peer Competence, and Emotional Intelligence)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a cyclical empathy model-based empathy enhancement program on young children's empathy, peer competence and emotional intelligence. Methods: A total of 40 subjects were selected for this study from 5-year-old children attending S Day Care Center located in Seoul, out of whom 20 were assigned to an experimental group and the remaining 20 to a comparative group (control group). The SPSS 21 statistical program was used to determine whether there was a significant difference between the two groups in the effectiveness of the program implementation. Results: There were statistically significant differences in the changes between the pre and post scores of the experimental group and the comparative group, which showed that the cyclical empathy model-based empathy enhancement program was effective for the young children's empathy, peer competence and emotional intelligence. Conclusion/Implications: This study suggests that if a young children's empathy enhancement program can be applied to child care sites to help the teachers in the field children can overcome empathy-related difficulties by themselves. This study also provides basic information in order to have meaningful educational experiences in young children's education institutions.
