중년남성의 배우자 사별경험 (Experiences of Spousal Bereavement in Middle Aged Men)

  • Death of spouse is the most heartbreaking stressful and inevitable tragic life event. In middle aged men who belong to the social middle class and accomplished their occupational success, experiences of spousal bereavement are great shock. The aim of this study was to find out how they overcome their mental and physical pain and to obtain the basic materials to develop suitable nursing care programs for them. The methodological approach of this study is Giorgi's phenomenological analysis meaning unit. This method also makes theme focal meaning, situated structural description and create general structural description grasped by participator's experience through situated structure description. This study performed from November 2002 to May 2004, and participators were four men. Data collected through in-depth personal interviews. which had been tapped and analysed the Giorgi's method. Finally, the five focal meaning below have been abstracted. Theme 1. Physical symptom loss of appetite, fatigue, insomnia. outbreak of illness, weight loss. Theme 2. life of spiritless lack of desire, sense of emptiness, unstableness, prosaic life. wandering. indifference of appearances, avoidance of meeting people. Theme 3. life of retrospction reflection for his wife, yearning, grief, muttering to himself, never-to-be forgotten wife, leading a lonely life. Theme 4. negative emotion reproaching, feeling hurt, marriage of daughter, feeling heavy, getting angry, sexual desire, awareness of his sinfulness. loneliness Theme 5. social support and adjustment getting his wife off his mind, curring favor with children, support and consolation by his daughter-in-law, appreciation for hospice nurse, considering remarriage, taking care of himself, good relation with his children. The result of this study showed that middle aged men bereaved of their wife by cancer need other's concern. And we have to study further to understand their experience. Until now hospice nursing is concentrated on cancer patients But from now we have to provide their families suitable nursing care programs to adjust themselves to social life before and after death of patients.

기혼자 '결혼' 인식에 대한 질적 연구 - '싱글'과 대비한 '결혼' 인식 - (Qualitative study on perceptions of marriage among married people - In comparison with single life -)

  • 본 연구에서는 기혼자 22명을 대상으로 심층면접을 통하여 기혼자의 '결혼'에 대한 인식을 살펴보았다. 심층 면접 자료를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 기혼자들은 결혼을 통해 얻는 것이 있으면 잃는 것이 있다는 양면을 잘 인식하고 있었다. 즉 결혼을 하면서 잃어버린 자신의 세계에 대한 동경이 있고, 자유로웠던 싱글 시기를 그리워하고 아쉬워하지만, 반면에 결혼을 통해 안정감과 소속감을 얻게 되었고 외롭지 않다고 한다. 2. 기혼자들은 결혼은 경험하지 않으면 모르는 세계라고 인식한다. 싱글은 인생의 간만 보는 것이라면 결혼은 인생의 맛을 보는 것이라고 인식한다. 기혼자들이 결혼의 삶에서 찾아나가는 '맛'은 '가족과 자식의 힘', '인생 고비 뒤의 나를 찾아가는 길', '함께 하는 삶의 즐거움과 편안함', '넓어지는 삶의 폭, 높아지는 삶의 질'이다.

장애청소년의 자기결정 경험에 대한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study on the Self-determination Experience of Youth with Disabilities)

  • 이 연구는 장애청소년의 자기결정 경험에 대한 실체이론 개발을 목적으로 하였다. 이 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 20대 초반의 지체 뇌병변 장애 대학생 10명과 면접을 실시하였으며 근거이론을 사용하여 그 결과를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 107개의 개념과 39개의 하위범주 및 16개의 범주가 도출되었으며, 장애청소년의 자기결정 경험의 중심현상은 "장애를 딛고 자기실현 열망"하기였다. 자기결정은 "욕구와 장애물의 인식", "문제해결", "성장 인식"의 단계를 거쳐 가는 과정이었으며, 자기결정의 유형은 "돌파형", "다전략형", "온건형", "수용형"으로 구분되었다. 이 연구를 통해 청소년기 장애인 자기결정의 특수성을 심도 있게 이해할 수 있었으며, 장애청소년의 자기결정을 증진시키기 위한 방법으로 제도적 보완, 유형에 따른 지원 차별화, 합리적 전략의 교육, 성과 결혼 주제의 공론화가 필요함을 알 수 있었다.

시설노인의 삶 (Life of the Institutionalized Elderly)

  • This study focused on the understanding the life of the elderly in the institution by phenomenological method. The participants were seven. who were 4 men and 3 women living in the elderly institution in Taegu. The data were collected through the indepth interviews and participant observation from June 20. 1999 to January 10. 2000 and analyzed by phenomenological analytic method by Giorgi. The structure of the meaning were as follows: Unhappy life: irresponsibility. self-centered thought. hardness. Irresistible life: misfortune. unhealthiness. Reading their son's intention. Bitter life: unfair treatment from their sons and daughters, betrayed feeling for their being thrown away. Outside oriented life: a fear of others' attention, wrong information about institutionalized life, maladjustment. Self-consolation life: comfortableness, convenience, economic merit of low cost. Dissatisfied life: discomfort from communal living. unkindness of the institution staffs, depreciated tendency to the elder people, irrational social security system. economic distress, physical pain, restrained feeling. Tenacity to their sons and daughters longingness for their sons and daughters, regretableness, waiting, Regretable life: remorse for their past life. agony, guilty, loneliness, grief, self-abandonment, self-depreciation, other residents' death in common. Inharmonious life with other residents complaint, conflict, ignorance, selfishness. Yearning life for opposite sex: sexual interest. Preparing for their life: control over their body and mind, consideration for others. A life with hope: blessing death, forever healthfulness, affiliation to their family. From the results of this study an education and consultation should be done as soon as possible to remove the negative recognition of the institutional life to the facility residents. the family and the future consumers of elderly institution. To minimize the maladjustment to facility life of residents, a new program and interventions for the new comer's are needed. The thesis with above results will widen the understandings of institutional residents and an important guidance for a better nursing care in elderly institutions of korea.

정원에 표상된 이상 - 토머스제퍼슨의 아카데미컬 빌리지와 몬티첼로의 경우를 중심으로 - (Ideals Represented in Gardens - Focused on Thomas Jefferson's Academical Village and Monticello -)

  • 대체로 정원은 인간의 자연과 문화에 대한 생각, 그리고 그 둘 간의 영향관계로 설명되어 왔다(Francis and Hester, 1990). 이 글은 정원을 인간의 꿈과 이상이 구축된 표상으로 간주하고 그 구체적인 면모를 토마스 제퍼슨의 정원을 사례로 하여 고찰해 보려고 한 것이다. 정치가로서의 면모가 더 많이 알려져 있는 토머스 제퍼슨은 직접 여러 정원을 설계하여 조성한 후 몸소 가꾼 정원가이기도 하였다. 그가 직접 설계하고 완성시킨 몬티첼로, 아카데미컬 빌리지, 포플러 포레스트 등에는 그의 국가적 이념으로서 자유와 민주주의, 중농주의 등의 이념적 가치와 함께, 전원에 대한 지향 그리고 고등교육에 대한 이상이 숨김없이 표상되어 있다. 정치가이자 신생국의 선각자로서의 이상과 함께 그의 개인적인 꿈과 신념이 공간적으로 표출되어 있는 것이다. 추구하고자 하는 상징적 의미를 은유적으로 표현하거나 그것을 공간적 도식으로 재현함으로써 제퍼슨의 이상은 자신은 물론 그 곳을 찾는 이들에게 재음미되고 공유되어졌다고 할 수가 있다. 그런 점에서 제퍼슨에게 있어서 정원은 이념과 이상을 공간적으로 드러낼 수 있는 무대였다고 할 수가 있다.

한형모 감독의 영화 <자유부인>에 나타난 복식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the customs in Han Hyungmo's film )

  • This study is an attempt to analyze the daily life of the Western-yearning Seoul citizens and the inflow of the Western culture into certain social classes. The customs of the characters in the film are studied to illustrate the process of deconstruction of Korean traditional clothes due to the Western influence. The combined application of the Western and Korean styles is also observed. All this study leads to the sense of homogeneity of the times and the conformity to the culture the Korean women shared, which boils down to the social identity of the Korean women who sought an escape from the men-centered social structure by displaying their competence in the field of global modern fashion. As Seonyeong Oh, the main character of the film, , was wearing in the movie the Korean traditional dress, socks, rubber shoes, and then a western-style coat, it well shows that in 1950's, the traditional dress and ornaments were mixed with Western styles. In time, men's wear were completely changed from the traditional Korean clothes to suits, while women's could not break off from the traditional clothes and become westernized, which indicates that the men-centered conservative ideas to keep women within the feudal regime of the society remained. The military look of Seonyeong Oh while she was acting in the society was a symbol of anti-bias against women and anti-convention as well as the will of freedom as an independent woman. Besides, the modern girls would wear clothes of military fashion, Dior's trapeze line, and knit styles flattering the figures. All these well show their desires to embrace Western cultures, especially their dress fashions as well as manners as so-called enlightened ladies. All these elements show that the director was trying to represent the progress of the drama, characters, and psychological states by means of the dress and ornaments.

러시아 제국의 이단아 남서문학 - 오데사 문학에 나타난 유대인, 피카로(picaro), 언어를 중심으로 (Southwestern Literature as Heresy of the Russian Empire)

  • This paper looks at the literary mood of southwestern Russia in the late Russian Empire, while examining the writers of this area and their literary tendencies. Southwestern literature was formed in the late Russian Empire, and prospered centering around Odessa. Because of the uniformity in the Soviet culture, however, it could not stay alive but disappeared in the history of Russian literature. Odessa, the center of southwestern literature was a multiracial region unlike other Russian cities. A unique culture was created, therefore, combining the western European culture and local ethnicity. Jews in Odessa could enter into the Russian society and assimilate naturally. They could utilize their talents as a strength to enrich the Russian culture without giving up their cultural heritage. For example, in lingual aspects, using Yiddish was not against the Russian culture. In addition, it contributed to interesting new coinages and led to efforts among writers to minimize the gap between the two languages. Many Jewish writers showed special interest not only in Yiddish but also in French, German and other languages. Therefore, they took the lead in translating and introducing west classics. As evident in the way Yiddish language was formed, mixing their language with other languages enabled jews to soak their way into other cultures naturally. Their yearning for the Russian and western European cultures, combined with their unique sense of humor, led to generic twists and problematic experiments. From another point of view, it is also unusual that southwestern literature diversified locational settings and heroic characters in literary works. European style heros, appearance of multiracial people, pain or waggery experienced by Jews in their assimilation process, thrilling revenge to unfair violence of Russians, and espiegle swindlers are the new domains that southwestern literature pioneered. In summary, southwestern literature was formed in a heterogeneous cultural climate, which was entirely different from the Russian Empire. In this regard, it was in deviation from the Russian literary tradition. From the Soviet point of view, it existed as a heresy which was against the Russian Empire.

『돈키호테』에 나타난 모리스꼬의 정체성을 중심으로 (The Identity of Morisco in Don Quijote de La Mancha)

  • This article is concerned about a reason for which Cervantes participates an arabic author named Benengeli and morisco translator in his work instead of christian author. From the multi-cultural point of view, the time in which Don Qujote was published, belongs to the Golden Age. In other words, the society can not be supported by the ideology of Purity of Blood in that the morisco, converso (Christian Jewish) have been permitted to coexist in the name of christian proselyte or New Christian despite of invisible discrimination. An invisible discrimination is based on the prejudice and negative stereotype of Old Christian against the New Christian. Cervantes offers an o open space for readers to participate in the creative reading, giving up the absolute authority of author named Benengeli. The deep-rooted prejudice against morisco or muslim author makes the readers of Don Quijote do reinterpret the contents and have question about his sincerity. This disbelief is partly on the basis of hypothesis that Don Quijote would be passed on orally by an arabic or morisco. Leaving the hypothesis alone, Romance, festival performances of morisco or the aljamia literature in the Iberian Peninsula have the chivalry or knights of the Occident. The chivalry in Romance of morisco means that morisco would seek assimilation into the mainstream of Occidental Christian community. At the same time, morisco would be faced with the dilemma of loss of religious identity. But Taqiyya, islamic doctrine, offsets the dilemma between yearning to assimilate into mainstream and religious conscience of morisco in that Taqiyya permits morisco to convert to Christianity in case that they are in danger of life or the following risk. From this point of view, There is no room for doubt about the fact that Taqiyya contributed to social assimilation or multicultural society of the Iberian Peninsula. It has been a long time since a narrow-minded religious dogma and ideology became a anachronistic relic in multicultural society of Spain such as the Purity of Blood. From a relative viewpoint, Don Quijote provides a ground for the collective intelligence among christian, muslim(morisco) and converso through a liberal community between readers and authors who form a pluralistic society.

효도관념이 가족관광 행위의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Influence of Filial Piety on the Behavioral Intention of Family Tourism)

  • 중국은 대중관광시대가 도래하여 아름다운 가정생활에 대한 사람들의 동경과 더불어 가족관광의 수요가 날로 증가되고 있다. 본 논문은 계획행위이론(TPB)에 근거하여, 가족관광 행위의도에 효도관념을 추가 변인으로 확장하여 연구하였다. 실증분석에는 태도, 주관적 규범, 지각행동제어와 효도관념 등의 4가지 잠재변수를 사용하였다. SPSS 23.0을 이용한 통계분석결과는 태도와 주관적 규범은 가족관광 행위의도에 상당한 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 지각 행동제어는 가족관광의 행위의도에 대한 영향이 뚜렷하지 않았다. 효도관념 중 상호성 효도에서는 가족관광에 대한 행위의도에 현저한 영향을 주지만, 권위성 효도에서는 가족관광에 대한 행위의도에 현저한 영향을 주지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 가족관광의 행위의도에 계획행위이론의 응용범위를 확장하였으며, 관광객과 관광업에 유의미한 연구결과를 제공하였다.

익선동 한옥거리의 변증법적 공간 해석과 젠트리피케이션의 시사점 모색 (Dialectical Interpretation of Hanok Village in Ikseon-dong, Seoul and Its Implications for Gentrification)

  • 본 연구는 최근 높은 관심을 일으키는 도심 내 한옥이 젠트리피케이션으로 이어지는 과정을 분석하고 이 과정에서 간과될 수 있는 공간의 중층성에 주목하였다. 흔히 젠트리피케이션은 도시 내 개발 압력에 따라 이뤄지는 대대적이고 급작스런 공간의 천이로 인식되는 경향이 강하다. 하지만 이러한 이해 방식은 실제 도시 공간변화에서 벌어지는 변증법적 과정과 다층적 존재들의 복잡한 상호 영향을 간과하게 한다. 본 연구는 서울시의 재개발 과정과 익선동에서의 한옥 개량 등을 살펴봄으로써 도시 공간 속 다양한 주체들의 관점과 실천이 젠트리피케이션에 다층적이고 변증법적으로 작용하는 과정을 분석한다. 더불어 문화유산의 요소를 매개로 한 도시공간의 변화가 도시 내 문화장소 형성에 있어 어떠한 함의를 갖는지를 논하도록 한다.
