  • The Purpose of this study was to investigate spectrophotometric characteristics of Korean knotweed extracts. The properties were evaluated by it′s extracting solvent, effect of metallic ion, variations of pH values and effect of light exposure. The results were as following; The highest absorbance was found in methanol extract of Korean knotweed, while the lowest absorbance was carbon tetrachloride extract. The UV-vis. spectra of Korean knotweed colors in several solvents showed hypsochromic shift of n-π/sup */ transition with the polarity of solvent. Absorbance and peak of UV-vis. spectra of Korean knotweed colors became lower and broader by addition of metallic ion. The light stability in irradiation with xenon ]amp of the color solution with Cu were higher than those of Al and Fe. The UV-vis. spectra of Korean knotweed extracts in various pH values showed bathochromic shift under alkaline condition, and their peaks disappeared after 5 hours exposure.

  • Solar simulator를 이용한 메탄의 수증기 개질은 집광된 태양에너지를 이용하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 태양열에너지의 화학적 축열을 실시하기 위해 Solar Simulator를 이용한 메탄의 수증기 개질을 연구하였다. 태양열 모사 램프로 1.2kW급 Xenon-arc lamp를 사용하였다. 반응기는 앞면의 Quartz Window와 촉매지지층으로 구성되어 있다. 램프의 빛은 Quartz Window를 통하여 촉매층에 직접적으로 방사되고, 방사된 빛으로 촉매지지층에서 흡열반응이 일어난다.메탄의 수증기개질 반응은 고온에서 일어나기 때문에 촉매지지체를 열에 강한 SiC로 만들어진 Ceramic foam을 사용하였다. 이 촉매지지체에 촉매를 Wash-coat하여 사용하였으며, 담지된 촉매는 Ni을 활성성분으로 하는 ICI 46-6을 사용하였다. 반응기는 318 SUS 재질로 제작되었으며, 반응기 외부는 Insulation을 하여 열손실을 감소시켰다. 실험은 온도와 공간속도에 따른 Solar Steam reforming의 반응특성을 분석하였다.

수용성 치자 색소의 추출에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Extraction of Soluble Colorants of the Gardenia jasminoides Ellis)

  • The study was performed to obtain the optimum extraction conditions for crocin from gardenia fructus. Generally crocin is unstable on heat, light, acid and base solution. The extraction efficiency of crocin from gardenia depended upon the extraction time, extraction temperature, pH in the extraction bath and the optimum conditions of crocin extraction were determined as 60 minutes of extraction time, 4$0^{\circ}C$ of extraction temperature, pH 7 of extraction bath. The molar extinction coefficient of crocin was 12,515 and the color yield of purified crocin was about six times higher than that of non-purified crocin. The heat-stability at extraction temperature and lightstability in irradiation with xenon lamp for one hour of the purified crocin were higher than those of non-purified crocin. Intensity of &{\lambda}_{max}&of crocin was decreased by irradiation for one hour but UV-Vis. spectra of crocin was not changed. The colors of purified and non-purified crocin dissolved wit methanol was evaluated by means of CIE L* a* b* system.

  • In this paper, we analyze on the discharge characteristics through 1-D simulations in an at plasma display panel discharge cell. The model is based on a Poisson' equation, continuity and drift-diffusion equation. Results are presented in a 95% neon, 5% xenon gas mixture, for a gap length of 100us and a gas pressure of 400Torr at ambient temperature. Results for other gap length are also discussed. As a result, an increase of the gap cause increase of luminous efficiency but with larger sustaining voltage.

AC PDP의 저온에서의 오방전 개선을 위한 구동 방법 (Driving Method for Mis-discharge Improvement at Low Temperature in AC PDP)

  • In AC-PDP, it is necessary to achieve high luminance efficiency, high luminance and high definition by adopting technologies such as high xenon concentration, MgO doping, and long gap. However, it is very difficult to apply above technologies because they make the driving voltage margin reduced. Especially, high Xe concentration technology for high efficacy makes not only the driving voltage margin reduced but also the stability of reset discharge decreased at low temperature. In this paper, we studied temperature and voltage dependent stability of reset discharge and present the experimental results of the discharge characteristics at low temperature. In addition, we suggested the mechanism of bright noise and black noise at low temperature. Finally, we proposed double reset waveform to improve the bright noise and descending scan time method to improve the black noise.

  • Solar simulator를 이용한 프로판의 수증기 개질은 집광된 태양에너지를 이용하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 태양열에너지의 화학적 축열을 실시하기 위해 Solar Simulator를 이용한 메탄의 수증기 개질을 연구하였다. 태양열 모사 램프로 1.24kW급 Xenon-arc lamp를 사용하였다. 반응기는 앞면의 Quartz window와 Absorber로 구성되어 있다. 램프의 빛은 Quartz window를 통하여 촉매층에 직접적으로 방사된다. 프로판의 수증기개질 반응은 고온에서 일어나기 때문에 열에 강한 SiC로 만들어진 Ceramic foam을 Absorber로 사용하였다. 촉매는 Absorber에 Wash-coat하여 사용하였으며, 담지된 촉매는 Ni을 활성성분으로 하는 ICI 46-6와 귀금속 촉매인 Ru/$Al_2O_3$를 사용하였다. 반응기는 SUS 재질로 제작되었으며, 반응기 외부는 Insulation을 하여 열손실을 감소시켰다. Propane과 Steam의 비율은 S/C ratio를 3으로 하여 실험하였다. 실험은 온도와 촉매에 따른 Solar Steam reforming의 반응특성을 분석하였다.

  • In this paper, the testing equipment for evaluating aging characteristics of outdoor silicone rubber insulator resulting from the environmental aging effect with regards to sunlight(UV) was developed. Influence of sunlight effect aging is seriously increase due to destruction of ozone layer which is occurred by consumption of fossil fuel. For this purpose, silicone rubber was aged under the artificial sunlight by exposure of xenon lamp radiation in the accelerating aging chamber and various test and analysis were performed such as breakdown strength, contact angle. And FT-IR analysis has been followed.

  • This study aims at designing and evaluating light source devices that can stably generate light with various wavelengths in order to make possible PDD using a photosensitizer and diagnosis using auto-fluorescence. The light source was a Xenon lamp and filter wheel, composed of an optical output control through Iris and filters with several wavelength bands. It also makes the inducement of auto-fluorescence possible because it is designed to generate a wavelength band of 380-420nm, 430-480nm, and 480-560nm. The transmission part of the light source was developed to enhance the efficiency of light transmission. To evaluate this light source, the characteristics of light output and wavelength band were verified. To validate the capability of this device as PDD, the detection of auto-fluorescence using mouse models was performed.

  • 차량용 전조등에 사용되어지는 HID(High Intensity Discharge) 발라스트(Ballast)의 특성 개선을 위하여 소프트 스위칭 방식의 멀티 레벨 인버터를 적용하였다. 멀티레벨 인버터의 모드(Mode)별 특성을 해석하고, 그 결과를 통해 발라스트의 출력 특성을 해석하고 시스템을 설계하였다. 그리고 실험을 통하여 해석결과를 확인하였다.
