Three-dimensional (3D) models have become crucial for improving civil infrastructure analysis, and they can be used for various purposes such as damage detection, risk estimation, resolving potential safety issues, alarm detection, and structural health monitoring. 3D point cloud data is used not only to make visual models but also to analyze the states of structures and to monitor them using semantic data. This study proposes automating the generation of high-quality 3D point cloud data and removing noise using deep learning algorithms. In this study, large-format aerial images of civilian infrastructure, such as cut slopes and dams, which were captured by drones, were used to develop a workflow for automatically generating a 3D point cloud model. Through image cropping, downscaling/upscaling, semantic segmentation, generation of segmentation masks, and implementation of region extraction algorithms, the generation of the point cloud was automated. Compared with the method wherein the point cloud model is generated from raw images, our method could effectively improve the quality of the model, remove noise, and reduce the processing time. The results showed that the size of the 3D point cloud model created using the proposed method was significantly reduced; the number of points was reduced by 20-50%, and distant points were recognized as noise. This method can be applied to the automatic generation of high-quality 3D point cloud models of civil infrastructures using aerial imagery.

Currently there are a variety of different tools may be used to analyze, model, describe and document a business process. However, it is difficult to exchange the information of a business process created in different tools because of the distinct information formats used in different tools. The XML Process Definition Language (XPDL) of the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) forms a common interchange standard that enables products to continue to support arbitrary internal representations of process definitions with an import/export function to map to/from the standard at the product boundary. Generally a business process model can be represented by the UML activity diagram, but there is a difficult task to directly generate an XPDL document from a business process model represented by the standard activity diagram. In the paper we will propose an approach to generate an XPDL document from a business process model represented by the extended UML activity diagram.

The study focuses on the relationship between SB, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and the emerging economy. Thereafter it highlights the types, principles, and funding cycle of SB with the evidence from Grameen Bank, which is a globally well-recognized microfinance venture in Bangladesh established by the Nobel Laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus. This study employs qualitative analysis to illustrate an architectural overview of the SB model by collecting secondary data from various publications related to the topic and published data of Grameen Bank. Finally, this paper illustrates the SB model along with specified characteristics, systematic framework, and main approaches for sustainable context, which could be applied as a conceptual framework for SB in any context of the emerging economy. The findings of this study suggest that the SB model is the workflow having a hierarchy of five phases namely need identification, goal setting, solution-based business plan, business plan assessment, and business plan execution. Analyzing a range of social business interventions in a developing country, Bangladesh, through the lens of five key aspects demonstrates that social business is the most efficient way to sustainably maximize the social benefits and minimize specific social issues poverty of the people affected.

As the concurrent engineering concept has emerged along with the support of optimization techniques, lots of endeavors have been made to apply optimization techniques to actual design problems for a holistic decision. Even if the range of design problems which the optimization is applicable to has been extended, most of ship designs still remain in an iterative approach due to the difficulties of seamless integration of all related design activities. In this approach, an entire design problem is divided into many sub-problems and carried out by many different disciplines through complicated internal interactions. This paper focuses on preliminary ship design process. This paper proposes a process centric integrated framework as the first step to establish a workflow based design process management system. The framework consists of two parts; a schedule management part to support a manager to monitor current progress status and adjust current schedule, and a process management part to assist a design to effectively perform a series of design activities by following a predefined procedure. Overall system are decomposed into modules according to the target to be managed in each module. Appropriate interactions between the decomposed modules are designed to achieve a consistency of the entire system. Design process model is also designed on a thorough analysis of actual ship design practice. The proposed framework will be embodied using a commercial workflow package.

This paper presents the core technology of Construction Business Process Automation to model and automate construction business processes. Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Automation (BPA) have been recognized as one of the important aspects in construction business management. However, BPR requires a lot of efforts to identify, document, implement, execute, maintain, and keep track thousands of business processes to deliver a project. Moreover, existing BPA technologies used in existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems do not lend themselves to effective scalability for construction business process management. Application of Workflow and Object Technologies would be quite effective in implementing a scalable enterprise application for construction business processes by addressing how: 1) Automated construction management tasks are developed as software components, 2) The process modeling is facilitated by dragging-and dropping task components in a network, 3) Raising business requests and instantiating corresponding process instances are delivered, and 4) Business process instances are executed by using workflow technology based on real-time simulation engine. This paper presents how the construction business process automation is achieved by using equipment reservation and cancellation processes simplified intentionally.
OSINT(Open Source Intelligence), rapidly increasing on the surface web in various forms, can also be used for criminal investigations by using profiling. This technique has become quite common in foreign investigative agencies such as the United States. On the other hand, in Korea, it is not used a lot, and there is a large deviation in the quantity and quality of information acquired according to the experience and knowledge level of investigator. Unlike Bazzell's most well-known model, we designed a Korean-style OSINT-based profiling technique that considers the Korean web environment and provides timeline information, focusing on the improved workflow. The database schema to improve the efficiency of profiling is also presented. Using this, we can obtain search results that guarantee a certain level of quantity and quality. And it can also be used as a standard training course. To increase the effectiveness and efficiency of criminal investigations using this technique, it is necessary to strengthen the legal basis and to introduce automation technologies.
In Accordance with the change of design paradigm, the design process has changed into user-centered workflow from designer-centered workflow. Since the purpose of the past research methods is quantitative analysis or the understanding of the present situation, it doesn't fit in practical design that expressed the user's needs. Therefore, the real data about what they see and how they feel will be useful for the user-centered design. This paper's objective is to analyze eye-movement recordings and pupil size of user for mobile interface design. For this objective, it was experimented on that the user's eyegaze data of using a mobile phone by the Eyegaze Interface System, and analyzed three levels of user's task performance. The results provided evaluation of new developed and old existing interface design of mobile phone by the experiment of eye-movement recordings and pupil size. The benefit of results is compliment of the limitation of current usability test through visual characteristics of design and qualitative data of user.
PURPOSE. Purpose of this in vitro study was to determine the accuracy of different intraoral scans versus laboratory scans of impressions and casts for the digitization of an edentulous maxilla. MATERIALS AND METHODS. A PEEK model of an edentulous maxilla, featuring four hemispheres on the alveolar ridges in region 13, 17, 23 and 27, was industrially digitized to obtain a reference dataset (REF). Intraoral scans using Cerec Primescan AC (PRI) and Cerec AC Omnicam (OMN), as well as conventional impressions (scannable polyvinyl siloxane) were carried out (n = 25). Conventional impressions (E5I) and referring plaster casts were scanned with the inEOS X5 (E5M). All datasets were exported in STL and analyzed (Geomagic Qualify). Linear and angular differences were evaluated by virtually constructed measurement points in the centers of the hemispheres (P13, P17, P23, P27) and lines between the points (P17-P13, P17-P23, P17-P27). Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and Shapiro-Wilk test were performed to test for normal distribution, Kruskal-Wallis-H test, and Mann-Whitney-U test to detect significant differences in trueness, followed by 2-sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to detect significant differences in precision (P < .008). RESULTS. Group PRI showed the highest trueness in linear and angular parameters (P < .001), while group E5I showed the highest precision (P < .001). CONCLUSION. Intraoral scan data obtained using Primescan showed the highest trueness while the indirect digitization of impressions showed the highest precision. To enhance the workflow, indirect digitization of the impression itself appears to be a reasonable technique, as it combines fast access to the digital workflow with the possibility of functional impression of mucosal areas.
As software systems become more complex and larger, software systems require a way to reuse software components or modules to provide new functionality. This paper designed a development method of web system combining SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) with MPSL(Multi-Software Product Line). According to provides SOA and MPSL, this paper suggested to service providers and service users to provide and reuse variable services. From the viewpoint of service provider, the suggested method identifies and implements reusable variable services as features by syntax-based, functional-based, and behavior-based methods applying feature identification guidelines and manages them as reuse assets. From the user's point of view, it is possible to develop a web system by constructing a service by workflow model as a method of structure and reconfigure services. As a result of measuring the reuse of the web system constructed in this paper by the function point, the cost reduction effect was verified by applying it to the similar project with the increase of reuse.

PURPOSE. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of occlusal and interproximal adjustments of single implant crowns (SIC), comparing a digital cast-free approach (CF) and a protocol using 3D printed casts (PC). MATERIALS AND METHODS. A titanium implant was inserted at position of lower right first molar in a typodont. The implant position was scanned using an intraoral scanner and SICs were fabricated accordingly. Ten crowns (CF; n = 10) were subject to a digital cast-free workflow without any labside occlusal and interproximal modifications. Ten other identical crowns (PC) were adjusted to 3D printed casts before delivery. All crowns were then adapted to the testing model, simulating chair-side adjustments during clinical placement. Adjustment time, quantity of adjustments, and contact relationship were assessed. Data were analyzed using SPSS software (P < .05). RESULTS. Median and interquartile range (IQR) of clinical adjustment time was 02:44 (IQR 00:45) minutes in group CF and 01:46 (IQR 00:21) minutes in group PC. Laboratory and clinical adjustment time in group PC was 04:25 (IQR 00:59) minutes in total. Mean and standard deviation (±SD) of root mean squared error (RMSE) of quantity of clinical adjustments was 45 ± 7 ㎛ in group CF and 34 ± 6 ㎛ in group PC. RMSE of total adjustments was 61 ± 11 ㎛ in group PC. Quality of occlusal contacts was better in group CF. CONCLUSION. Time effort for clinical adjustments was higher in the cast-free protocol, whereas quantity of modifications was lower, and the occlusal contact relationship was found more favourable.
