The purpose of this phenomenological study was to explore and describe the experience of people with HIV/AIDS. Three men and three women with HIV/AIDS participated in the study. They were asked open-ended and descriptive questions in order for them to talk about their experience in their own terms. Interviews were audiotaped and transcribed to maintain data integrity and to reduce perceptual bias. The transcripts were analyzed by the Colaizzi method. Member checks from the participants were used to validate the emergent themes. Seven themes emerged from the analysis. 1. People with HIV/AIDS have a strong impact and emotional reaction when receiving positive HIV test results. 2. All people with HIV/AIDS attempt to conceal HIV infection because of fear of stigma or rejection. 3. After the initial brief traumatic reaction to HIV/AIDS diagnosis, all participants feel lonely because they had no one to express or share their own experiences. 4. People with HIV/AIDS reflect on their life, think about the death and dying process and they become depressed. 5. Most participants feel that the family members who know his/her diagnosis are a big source of support. 6. According to the normativeness of infection route of HIV, the degree of guilty feeling differs among participants. 7. Although all participants think medication is a lifeline, the adherence to medication is not maintained because of side effects, denial and concealment of HIV/AIDS. The results of this study may help nurses and other health care workers to implement more efficient nursing strategies for people with HIV/AIDS by more deeply understanding their experience.
With the emergence of indirect procurement, it has become a global trend for companies to outsource their maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) supplies to procurement service providers (PSPs). Due to the variety of MRO items, evaluation of numerous suppliers in various industries is a particularly complex task for PSPs. Due to this complexity, many PSPs still evaluate and select suppliers based on the sourcing managers' subjective knowledge. Through the case of adopting a supplier evaluation system, this research is to find the managerial issues organizations should consider when they transform sourcing managers' knowledge into the system. We interpret the issues based on the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework. This case conclusively shows the importance of positive feedback loop between the users and the information system for the performance improvement of the system.
The aim of this study is to shed light on essentials of Suprematist artists focusing on Malevich and their works in relation to modem design, and to examine their roles in the modem design industry compared to those of modem designers. The study obtains the following result on Suprematist artists and their works in Russian avant-garde in terms of modem design. Firstly, Suprematist artists had a great deal of interest in practical design although it seemed Suprematist were replaced by utilitarianism in avant-garde during the Russian revolution. Secondly, Suprematist artists were the first artists to bring the birth of modem design trends by applying their art in geometric forms to clothing and fabric design as well as ornaments and handicraft. Thirdly, the artists' attempt to work with needle workers made it possible to set achievements in design and modem decorative art exhibitions in various fields of art-life. As for the role of modem designers, Suprematist artists including Malevich have significant meanings as follows: Firstly, Malevich was a creative, future-oriented artistic designer who realized zaum of painting on the stage and created suprematistic mode in a cosmic point of view in order to agree with the environment. Secondly, Suprematist artists knew the importance of works that were produced by craftsmen and worked together with them. Therefore, the designers could maintain fabric decoration in difficult conditions knowing the importance of the high value-added industry. Thirdly, they were artists in real life who embodied the ideas and theories of Suprematist in sample works by recognizing the need of changes in life environment: they planned to set a new visual world in art but did not confine the idea only to painting.

The currently accepted model of membrane structure proposes a dynamic, asymmetric lipid matrix of phospholipids and cholesterol with globular proteins embedded across the membrane to various degrees. Most phospholipids are in the bilayer arrangement and also closely associated with integral membrane proteins or loosely associated with peripheral proteins. Biological functions of membrane, such as membrane-bound enzyme functions and transport systems, are influenced by the membrane physical properties, which are determined by fatty acid composition of phospholipids, polar head group composition and membrane cholesterol content. Polar and non-polar region of the phospholipid molecule can interact, with changes in the conformation of a membrane-associated protein altering either its catalytic activity or the protein's interaction with other membrane proteins. Mammalian dietary studies attempted to change the lipid composition of a few cell membranes have shown comparisons, using essential fatty acid-deficient diets. In recent years, Clandinin and a few other workers have pioneered the study proving the influence of dietary fat fed in a nutritionally complete diet on composition of phospholipid classes of cell membrane. Modulation caused by diet fat was rapid and reversible in phospholipid fatty acyl composition of membranes of cardiac mitochondria, liver cell, brain synaptosome and lymphocytes. These changes were at the same time, accompanied by variety of membrane associated functions controlled by membrane-bound enzymes, tranporter and receptor proteins. The findings suggest the basic concept of the necessity of dietary fatty acid balance if consistency of optimal membrane structural lipid composition is to be maintained, as well as the overall inadequacy of describing the nutritional-biochemical quality of a dietary fat solely by its content of linoleic acid. Furthermore, they give light on the possible application to clinical and preventive medicine.
This study examined health foods intakes and related variables among the middle aged(150 men and 159 women) in the Jeonbuk region. Health foods were classified into 4 groups including Chinese medicine(CM), toner foods(TF), vitamin or mineral supplements(VMS), and other manufactured health food supplements(MHFS). The number of people taking health foods were higher for those in their 50's than in their 40's. The consumption rate of TF in men was the highest among health foods, this result had significance. The reasons for taking health foods were recovery from fatigue, supplement of nutrients and making smooth body activity in general, but TF was used to increase of vigor. The consumption rate of health foods was a little different according to social-economic factors, namely, the consumption rate of CM was higher in people in rural than urban areas, those who graduated from middle school than university, blue color & self-employed as opposed to housewives and service workers, low level income than high level income, and Buddhism and no religion than Christian. The consumption rate had a correlation with the habits of smoking, alcohol drinking and exercise ; namely, the consumption rate of CM was higher than VMS and MHFS on smokers and alcohol drinkers. The more the frequency of exercise, the higher the consumption rate of TF, but the duration of the exercise was not correlated. This study suggests that middle aged people need nutritional education for the right recognition and selection of health foods and to consider the nature of each type of health foods.
The purpose of this research was to analyze the job satisfaction and business attitudes of restaurant owners in order to explore solutions for improving restaurant management. The results were as follows : 1) The motive for starting a restaurant business was vocational aptitude \longrightarrow possibilities \longrightarrow good income : 2) In terms of job satisfaction, most respondents were satisfied with both the work itself and the income. It was also observed that the younger owners were more satisfied with their jobs than the older owners : 3) Increased costs, including labor and food costs, was indicated as the biggest problem in restaurant management. Respondents also perceived labor shortage as one of the most difficult problems. Men were more likely than women to consider the following problems as being more serious: rent, financial problems, taxes, regulation restrictions, menu development and customer complaints. It was found that as the size of the restaurants grew, the respondents perceived the shortage of labor as the hardest part of running a business : 4) Respondents agreed that employing good foodservice workers was the most important part of foodservice management. Owners also believed that they needed more research time for menu and service development 5) To be successful, the restaurant owners paid the most careful attention to food taste. Service, sanitation, and menu development were also emphasized. Respondents stressed the focus on service, good relationships, diligence, and faithfulness in order to be a good restaurant owner. The results of this research suggest that restaurant owners should have more professional conscientiousness to succeed in their own businesses, as well as improve the quality of the foodservice industry. Other important aspects related to the overall improved quality of the foodservice industry are: the continuation of government support, the enlargement of educational opportunities and greater respect for foodservice employees. Korea worker is well known for its long work and amongst employees and to change un-healthy lifestyle. This study aims to investigate the association between health behaviors and sleep problems in employees. It employed data from the Third Korean Working Conditions Survey (KWCS). The total number of individuals included in the analysis was 34,788 employees, from the 2011 survey. The outcome was sleep problems, which had a prevalence rate of 2.5% in men and 2.3% in women. An adjusted odds ratios were as follows: 2.26(1.75-2.91) for hypertension, 2.21(1.60-3.06) for obesity, 26.82(21.51-33.45) for depression and 2.02(1.64-2.49) for high level of job stress. We need to invest to identify relevant and various health service promotion for sleep problem that un-healthy workers want will use.
This study examined the direct or indirect effects through burnout of sources of work stress of child welfare employees on turnover intentions. In addition, the study investigated the moderating effects of stress coping resources, which was hypothesized to buffer the negative effects of the sources of work stress on burnout. The study data were collected from 190 social workers in foster care services and child protective services. As a statistical method, structural equation model was employed. The study results showed that sources of work stress affect indirectly though raising the level of burnout. The study did not find the moderating effects of stress coping resources. Based on the results, implications for child welfare practice were discussed.

This study explores the moderating effects of personality types (Big'5) influence on the relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intension using dispositional approach. In order for that, we surveyed for employees of 4 service's company and 430 samples were used for empirical study. According to result, extroversion and conscientiousness among personality types had significant positive effects on job satisfaction. And agreeableness and conscientiousness had negative effects on turnover intention. but extroversion and conscientiousness had positive effects on turnover intention. Self-efficacy had interactive effects on the relationship between personality type and job satisfaction. but it influenced only agreeableness. The self-efficacy had moderating effects agreeableness on the relationship between personality type and turnover intention.
Background: In Japan, more than 60% of employees are reported to suffer from anxiety and stress. Consequently, Japanese society has begun to address such important issues as psychogenic disability and job-related suicide. Furthermore, given the aging of society and the surge in the number of elderly people requiring care, it is necessary to adequately and proactively support employees who care for their elderly relatives. The purpose of the present study was to investigate caregiver burden in caring for elderly relatives and work-related stress factors associated with mental health among employees. Methods: We studied 722 men and women aged 18-83 years in a cross-sectional study. The K10 questionnaire was used to examine mental health status. Results: The proportion of participants with a high K10 score was 15% (n = 106). Having little conversation with their supervisor and/or coworkers significantly increased the risk of depression [odds ratio (OR) 1.8], as did high job overload (OR 2.7) and job dissatisfaction (OR 3.8), compared with employees who frequently conversed with their supervisor and/or coworkers. Caring for elderly relatives as a prominent characteristic of an employee was a significant risk factor for depression (OR 2.1). Conclusion: The present study demonstrated that employees who were caring for elderly relatives were significantly associated with an increased risk of depression. To prevent depressive disorders, it may be important to focus on reducing the work-caregiving role conflict, as well as enhancing employees' job control and better rewarding their efforts in the workplace.
