본 논문은 PDA(Personal Digital Assistant)와 WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) 기술을 결합한 TCP-IP 통신 기반의 원격 장치 데이터 모니터링 시스템을 제안한다. 무선의 PDA 디바이스는 서버측에서 전송되는 원격 장치의 데이터인 온도, 습도, 장치 상태 등을 연속적으로 수집하고 모바일 디바이스에 디스플레이 함으로써 무선 통신의 원격 모니터링을 위해서 사용된다. 따라서 유 무선 통합의 원격 장치 데이터 모니터링 시스템을 구축함으로써 관리자의 상황에 적응적인 데이터 수집과 장치 상태 확인의 효율성을 제공한다.

최근 무선 통신 기술의 발달은 장비를 간편화 하고 편리화 시키게 되었다. 또한 다양한 서비스를 창출 할 수 있는 기반이 마련하였다. 하지만 무선 랜의 다양한 서비스와 접속성의 확대는 보안의 취약점을 야기 시켰다. 본 논문에서는 IEEE802.11 무선 랜 서비스를 통하여 PDA 상에서 AP의 정보를 받아 무선 랜 보안 서비스의 특성과 취약성을 살펴보고 PDA 기반 위치 추적 시스템을 구현을 하였다.

본 논문은 무선 인터넷 환경에서 PDA 기반 당뇨관리 시스템의 설계 및 구현을 기술한다. 시스템은 3-계층 클라이언트/서버 구조로 클라이언트, 서버, 미들웨어, 그리고 데이터베이스를 포함한다. 클라이언트는 당뇨관리를 위한 환자와 의사용 PDA를 갖는다. 환자용 PDA는 당뇨 자가관리 기능을 위해 사용되고, 의사용 PDA는 환자의 데이터를 모니터하기 위해 사용된다. 서버는 무선 통신으로 환자로부터 매일 측정되는 데이터를 받고, 미들웨어는 클라이언트와 서버의 중계역할을 수행한다. 시스템의 구현 결과, 당뇨환자의 지속적이고 체계적인 관리가 기대된다.

This thesis proposed a method that connecting step motor to image send board which can acquire image to move and remote controlling via streaming image board of PDA(personal digital assistant) based on embedded Linux which is using wireless network There are three embedded Linux system to embody movable image send board. First, though the wireless network a signal of PDA is transmitted to the board which has embedded Linux and a system which is controlled by the expansion I/O port of the board. Second, it's a system streaming realtime image at a PDA which has embedded Linux. The last is a system which controls a process of image board using TCP/IP communication and image send board at PC. These are the system which can use industrial settings and homes. It can also make use of an embodiment method about travelling image robot.

최근 무선인터넷을 이용할 수 있는 환경이 많이 만들어지면서 PDA를 이용한 무선인터넷의 활용도가 점점 더 많아지고 있다. PDA를 이용한 무선인터넷의 인프라가 많이 구축되면서 사용자들은 점점 더 많은 서비스와 다양한 콘텐츠를 요구하게 되었고, 실제로 다양한 서비스가 PDA에서 이용되고 있다. 이러한 사회적 여건 변화에 따라 본 논문에서는 휴대가 간편하고 손쉽게 정보를 얻을 수 있는 무선 인터넷 기반의 PDA를 이용하여 작명서비스를 받을 수 있도록 작명에 필요한 법칙을 알고리즘화하고 서비스를 설계하고 구현한다.

People want to control various facilities regardless location in ubiquitous era. Therefore we have a various devices embedded wireless functions. In this paper we implement a control program in a PDA that used Wireless LAN among wireless protocols. The objectives of this paper are: The first, to make a control program in server and a wireless client (PDA) using WLAN. The second, to implement smart home model. The third, to propose useful functions in home controls.

802.11b 표준 무선 랜 기반의 인프라스트럭처 네트워크에서 PDA를 무선 단말기로 사용하여 멀티미디어 데이터 전송 성능을 평가하였다. PDA는 주로 멀티미디어 데이터와 같은 대용량 데이터를 수신하는 용도로 사용된다. 그러나 이동 호스트인 PDA가 고정 호스트인 PC와 멀티미디어 데이터를 전송하는 과정에서 PC로부터 데이터를 수신하는 시간이 송신시간에 비해 항상 53% 이상 더 소요된다 본 논문에서는 데이터 전송 시 PDA수신시간의 지연에 영향을 미치는 요소들에 대한 성능평가를 수행하였다. 수신과정에서 파일 액세스 시간이 송신과정보다 4.11배까지 더 걸리고, 수신자 윈도우 크기의 변동(686바이트∼32,581바이트)이 심하기 때문에 PDA 수신시간이 길어진다. 수신지연을 개선하기 위해 응용계층에서 내부패킷 간격을 주지 않고 즉시 전송하고, TCP 수신버퍼의 크기를 늘리는 것이 효과적이다

In this paper, we propose the system that can monitor and control the camera in the remote place using the PDA. The server PC attached to the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) acquires the current status (On/Off) of the devices through the RS-232 serial communications. Also, the moving image frames captured from the wireless camera is compressed in the JPEG format and is stored in the server. The PDA, which is connected to the server through wireless internet, receives the data about the status of the devices and controls the devices according to the circumstances of them. Also, it can receive the images from the server simultaneously. So, we ran monitor and control the specified area in the remote place using the PDA through the wireless communication.
