후방 요추 극돌기간 유동적 오메가형 스프링 고정재의 역학적 평가 (Mechanical Evaluation of Posterior Dynamic Omega-wire Stabilization System)

  • 본 연구에서는 새로운 후방요추간체의 고정재로서 뼈에 나사를 삽입고정하지 않고 후방요추간체에 걸어 시술하는 형상기억합금을 이용한 오메가형 스프링 유동적 고정재의 기계적 변형특성을 평가하였다. 사용된 오메가와형 스프링 고정재에 대해 인장, 압축, 동적피로시험을 실시하였다. 또한, 기존에 시판 중인 후방요추간체에 나사를 삽입하여 시술되는 나선형 스프링 유동적 고정재와 함께 유한요소방법을 이용하여 허리를 굽힐 때 가해지는 굽힘에 대한 변형해석을 실시하였다. 오메가형 스프링 고정재의 양단 고리중심간 거리가 60 mm인 시편의 평균 극한 인장하중은 3981.7 N, 평균 극한 압축하중은 535.6 N으로 나타났으며, 5 Hz의 반복주기로 10 N/1N의 압축피로하중을 가할 경우 5백만회 반복하는 동안 파단 없이 8~9 mm의 압축변위가 발생하였다. FEA 결과에서 보면 오메가형 스프링 고정재가 나선형 스프링 고정재보다 허리 굽힘에 대해 유연한 변형특성을 보였다.

접지임피던스 분석을 위한 접지전극의 전류분포 수치계산 (Numerical Calculation of Longitudinal Current Distribution in Grounding Electrode for Analyzing the Grounding Impedance)

  • The current distribution passing through grounding electrode is required for calculating an impedance of grounding electrode using the electromagnetic field model. In this paper the numerical calculation for currents passing through a grounding electrode as a function of frequency was given. The proposed approach is based on the wire antenna model(AM) in the frequency domain. The Pocklington's equation driven from the wire antenna theory was numerically calculated by the Galerkin's method. The triangle function was applied to both the basis function and the weighting function. The current distribution of a horizontal ground electrode was simulated in MATLAB. Also these results were compared with the data obtained from the CDEGS HIFREQ calculation.

A Billet Heat Transfer Modeling during Reheating Furnace Operation

  • Reheating furnace is an essential facility of a rod mill plant where a billet is heated to the required rolling temperature so that it can be milled to produce wire. Sometimes, it is also necessary to control a transient billet temperature pattern according to the material characteristics to prevent a wire from breaking. Though it is very important objective to obtain a correct information of a billet temperature during furnace operation. Consequently, a billet temperature profile must be estimated. In this paper, a billet heat transfer model based on FEM (Finite Element Method) with spatially distributed emission factors is proposed and a measurement is also carried out for two different furnace operation conditions. Finally, the difference between the model outputs and the measurements is minimized by using the new optimization algorithm named uDEAS(Univariate Dynamic Encoding Algorithm for Searches) with multi-step tuning strategy. Hence, the information of billet temperatures can be obtained by using proposed model on various furnace operation conditions.

  • In manufacturing, process automation and parameter optimization are required in order to improve productivity. Especially in welding process, productivity and weldablity should be considered to determine the process parameter. In this paper, optimization methodology was proposed to determine the welding conditions using the objective function in terms of productivity and weldablity. In order to conduct this, welding experiments were carried out. Tensile test was performed to evaluate the weldability. Neural network model to estimate tensile strength using the laser power, welding speed, and wire feed rate was developed. Objective function was defined using the normalized tensile strength which represented the weldablilty and welding speed and wire feed rate which represented the productivity. The optimal welding parameters which maximized the objective function were determined.

  • This study aims to create a numerical analysis model which can investigate the dynamic interaction between pantograph and overhead contact wire used for a high-speed railway vehicle, and validate the simulation results according to EN 50318 standard. Finite element analysis models of pantograph and overhead contact line are created using SAMCEF, a commercial FE analysis program. The mean, standard deviation, maximum and minimum values of contact forces are obtained. The simulation results are validated according to EN 50318, and the possibility of simulating the collecting characteristic of an actual pantograph system by using the developed model is discussed.

랫드에서 대퇴골머리 골괴사 유발 외과적 방법의 비교 (A Comparison of Surgical Methods of Inducing Femoral Head Osteonecrosis in Rats)

  • 대퇴골 머리의 골괴사는 특발성이며 진행성 질환이다. 골괴사증 연구를 위한 다양한 동물모델이 보고되었지만, 현재까지 표준화된 동물모델은 완성되지 않았다. 본 연구에서 랫드에서 세가지 외과적인 방법으로 유발한 골괴사모델을 비교하였다. 20마리의 SD 랫드 (24주령, 숫컷)를 각 5마리씩 대조군과 세개의 실험군으로 구분하였다. 세가지 외과적인 방법으로 골괴사를 유발하였다. 원인대를 자르고, 대퇴골목의 골막을 절개 (S군), 철사를 대퇴골목에 결찰 (W군), W군과 동일한 방법으로 대퇴골목에 철사를 감은 후, 전기소락기의 끝을 철사에 접촉시켜 소락, 그리고 철사를 제거 (B군). 2주후, 랫드는 안락사하고 대퇴골 머리와 목을 채취하였다. H/E 염색, 사프라닌 O염색, TUNEL 염색을 실시하여 대퇴골 머리의 골과 연골에 골괴사 병변을 평가하였다. 모든 외과적인 방법 (S, W, B군)에서 골괴사가 2주간의 단기간에 유발되었다. 연골부분에 대한 유의적인 괴사변화는 B군에서만 관찰되었다. 철사를 통한 소락 후, 철사를 제거하는 변형된 외과적 방법은 다른 방법에 비해 더욱 효과적으로 골괴사 실험모델을 완성하였다.

  • The electromagentic characteristics of antennas in the complicated metallic structures were analyzed using the electric field integral equation. The accurancy of computer program was confirmed by comparing the computation result with NELC brass model study. And computation result of antenna characteristics in metallic structures was in good argreement with our measuring result.

  • The flame temperature of LPG-air premixture flame was measured by extrapolation of limiting case corresponding to the infinitely thin diameter of Platinum-resistance-hot-wire. LPG-air premixture flame, initially under atmospheric pressure and room temperature, propagates downward from top of the model combustion chamber maintained at constant pressure through the whole combustion process. Analytical calculation technique was also applied to determine full temperature history or spatial temperature distribution from flame reaction zone to burnt gas region.

  • In this paper we propose a series active power filter and a simple calculation method acquiring the reference voltage. A series active power filter is suitable to suppress harmonics produced by voltage type harmonic source such as a diode rectifier with filter capacitor on the DC side The proposed series active power filter system is applied to 3-phase 3-wire power system including the voltage type harmonic source. Experimental result obtained from a laboratory model are shown to verify the viability and effectiveness of the proposed system.

원유운반선 프로펠러의 모형 및 실선 축척 반류에서의 공동현상과 실선에서 관측된 공동현상의 비교 (Comparison of Cavitation Patterns between Model Scale Observations using Model and Full-Scale Wakes and Full Scale Observations for a Propeller of Crude Oil Carrier)

  • In this paper, cavitation patterns of model tests were compared with those of full-scale measurement for a propeller of crude oil carrier which was suffered from erosions on suction side of blade tip region. Cavitation tests were performed at design and ballast draft using model and full scale nominal wakes. A model ship and wire mesh method was used for the simulation of wake patterns of model nominal wakes. For the prediction of full-scale wake patterns, a RANS solver(Fluent 6.3) was used and wire mesh method was used for the simulation of the full scale wakes. Comparison results show that cavitation patterns using predicted full-scale wake patterns are closer to cavitation patterns of full-scale measurement at ballast draft condition. Also, cloud cavitations were observed on the position of eroded area at both full-scale measurement and cavitation tests using simulated full-scale wake patterns.
