  • The purpose of the study was to explore effects of fashion related work experience program and its satisfaction in middle schools. The study analyzed differences in self-efficacy of career decision making and fashion related career maturity before and after the program. The questionnaire developed by the researchers was collected from 114 participants enrolled in middle schools in Seoul or Kyunggido. The data were analyzed by common factor analysis, and independent sample t-test, using SPSS 18.0/Windows. The results demonstrated significant higher scores in self efficacy of career decision making, and fashion related career maturity after the program than before. Also, they showed high program satisfaction scores. The results of the study could be basic information for work experience program developers for high and middle school students.

  • Purpose: This study proposes preventive strategies for factors affecting the work impairment of international medical tourism coordinators. Methods: Data for this study were collected via an online questionnaire survey involving 296 international medical tourism coordinators in South Korea, considering the impact coronavirus disease 2019. The survey was conducted from 25th April 2022 to 22nd July 2022 and data were analyzed SPSS/WINdows software version 22, including statistical, reliability, factor and regression analyses. Results: This study focused on occupational stress, health problems and job efficacy among international medical tourism coordinators in medical tourism research. The main objective was to examine the factors that influenced their work impairment. Conclusion: This study emphasizes the importance of factors such as occupational stress, health problems and job efficacy in influencing work impairment among international medical tourism coordinators. The identified factors account for 30% of explanation power. An intervention program tailored to the characteristics of domestic and international medical tourism coordinators is recommended.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of transformational leadership as perceived by nurses working in medical institutions on their work attitudes using psychological capital as a mediating variable. Subjects were 201 nurses working in three general hospitals located in Seoul with more than 300 beds, and SPSS Windows 20.0 and AMOS 20.0 were used for data analysis. As the results of the analysis, transformational leadership had direct effects on psychological capital (.68, p=.007), turnover intention (-.34, p=.008), and meaning of work (.11, p=.007), whereas psychological capital had direct effects on meaning of work (.26, p=.009) and turnover intention (-.07, p=.041). In addition, transformational leadership had indirect effects on turnover intention (-.05, p=.087) and meaning of work (.18, p=.004). The results of this study can be used as a base material in the development of programs to exert positive effects on nurses' work attitudes.

  • The purpose of this study was to research the effects of socio-demographic factors and values in each group on satisfaction with life by categorizing the activity types of the elderly into volunteer work and economic activities. The subjects of this study were 60 years an old higher. The questionnaires were categorized depending on activity types and collected. The voluntary work group consisted of 201 people (76 males, 36.8% and 125 females, 62.2%), The economic activity group consisted of 219 people (127 males, 58.0% and 92 females, 42.0%). The SPSS 14.0 Windows program was used to analyze data. Frequency, average, standard deviation, factor analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test, One-Way ANOVA analysis, and hierarchical multiple linear regression were analyzed. The major findings of this study indicate that the elderly in the voluntary work group have a high collectivism value, higher income earned by performing economic activities, and good cognitive health affected by a high satisfaction with life. From these research results, it was proved that a collectivism value is a common factor that affects satisfaction with life in both of the economic activity group. Those who were older had a traditional collectivism value. The voluntary work group showed a stronger collectivism value and higher satisfaction with life than the economic activity group. Thus, the diverse types of voluntary work should be developed and a systematic system should be established as methods for improving quality of life and satisfaction.

  • The frequency window method has been extended to include strong coupling and multiple connections between the primary structure and the secondary structures. The rational polynomial expansion of the eigenvalue problem and the analytical methods for its solution are novel and distinguish this work from other eigenvalue analysis methods. The key results are the identification of parameters which quantify the resonance and coupling characteristics; the derivation of analytical dosed-form expressions describing the fundamental modal properties of the frequency windows; and the development of an iterative procedure which yields accurate convergent results for strongly-coupled primary-secondary structures.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to assess the effects of shift-work on psychological factors in university hospital's nurses. Method: The subjects were 276 nurses who have worked in a university hospital and the nurses were questioned with self-reported questionnaire forms. We investigated psychological factors(anxiety, depression, stress and self-esteem), nurses' general characteristics and shift-work. The data was analyzed by using SAS for Windows 9.13. Results: The frequency of nurses with anxiety, depression and high stress were 56.5%, 44.9% and 19.6%, respectively. The mean score of self-esteem was 30.03. Stress was higher in cases of having shift-work. Immediately after doing shift-work, nurses had higher depression and stress, and lower self-esteem scores. After controlling confounding variables, psychological factors affected by shift-work was stress. An upward tendency in anxiety, depression and stress were found in cases of doing shift-work for more than 5 years. Conclusions: It is necessary to develope a program for reducing psychological disturbance at the early times of shift-work and to plan adequate shift-work intervals.

  • In this paper, to provide the possibility of various multimedia services, especially the collaborative work using the centralized control feature of the Service Node, is studied. We focused on the telewriting as the upper layer application to confirm the basic functions of the collaborative work. For this, we implement and add telewriting collaborative work function to the Service Node emulator, and terminals operating in the Windows environment are also developed. Through the tests on the system, we verify the basic functions related to the collaborative work are performed adequately, and confirm the concept of Service Node can support various type of multimedia conference services.

  • In this study, the effect of window opening, which is a control mechanism for air control in winter high school classrooms, on the change in air and indoor environment of the classroom was analyzed and physical conditions of indoor and air environment were observed during the classroom course, and satisfaction of the students and teachers was assessed with questionnaires. And the changes in air environment were assessed by the performance of the duster cleaning work in the classroom. It was found that 84.6% of the students surveyed said the air was stuffy. And among the alternatives, opening windows all times during class was most effective in reducing CO2 concentration and PM concentration was measured within classroom's standard. In addition, the concentration change rate of duster cleaning work was reduced by 74.4% and 65.4% of PM10 compared to broom cleaning work.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the family resources, stress level, and coping strategies of reemployed wives, to direct the better psycho-physical environment, and to enhance the quality of their home environment for reemployed wives. The data were analyzed with the frequency, percentage, factor analysis, mean(S.D), reliability, and regression using SPSS windows program. The major findings were as follows : (1) There were significant relationships between demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of the family resources and stress level. Personal-psycho resources was important variable in the family resources. The household work and value of household work were most influential. (2) Influential variables on stress level were income and working hours, resources of family task sharing. (3) Influential variables on coping strategies were age, reemployed time, and family task sharing. Coping strategies was effected by the reasons of employment.

  • A scroll compressor is on the increase in the use for the cooling and ambition machinery because of the advantages about high efficiency, low vibration and low noise. The design of thrust bearing for scroll compressor has depended on the experience. The lubrication considering the squeeze flow was applied for high side shell and low side shell of scroll thrust bearing. This work was based on governing fluid lubrication equation at the general coordinate. It shows the behavior for an orbiting scroll with direct numerical analysis using FDM. This study obtained the theoretical design value by finding load capacity and tilting angle of an orbiting scroll for thrust bearing in a scroll compressor. Especially this work performed the analysis about the design parameter. The program was written using Visual C++ to enhance user to change the design parameter easily. In particular the result value and the pressure profile were displayed as windows in every step for user to understand without difficulty.
