  • The new preparative separation techneque of dihydroquercetin (2, 3-trans-dihdroxy-3, 3', 4', 5, 7-pentahydroxydihydroflavonol) was investigated by liquid chromatography. Also some typical coniferous wood bark were examined for the sources of dihydroquercetin. The good sources of dihydroquercetin were Douglas-fir[Pseudotsuga menziesii] bark and pitch pine [Pinus rigida] bark. There is no dependance the produced place and species dihyroquercetin which is separated by silica-gel column chromatography was taken with white needle-like crystals. This crystals were very stable in the humidity and on the light. It also can stored very long without derivatives.

  • Experimental study on the control of randomly disturbing system is conducted. External and internal disturbances are imposed to the system in combined manner. A vertical propeller system exposed horizontal weak turbulent air flow is chosen as an experimental model. The aim of the control system is to maintain the angular position of vertical propeller in parallel to air flow. Trajectory Tracking Stochastic Controller (TTSC) is designed to ensure system's stability while following system command. The Trajectory Tracking Stochastic Controller is composed of two controller, one is stochastic controller to suppress internal random noise and the other one is trajectory-tracking controller to follow the command having random noise. The proposed hybrid controller, TTSC, shows remarkable performance in pitch control of vertical propeller system in wind-tunnel test

The parameters of speech synthes is are a follows, 1) format F1, F2, and F3 by spectrum moment method and F4, F5 using the length of vocal tract. 2) pitch frequencies obtained by optimu, Comb method using AMDF. 3) short time average energy and short time mean amplitude. 4) The decision method of bandwidth reportd by Fant. 5) voicde/unvoiced discrimination using zerocrossing. 6) excitation wave reported by Rosenberg. 7) gaussian white noise. Synthesis results are in fairly good agreement with original speech.

  • In this work, we have simulated a 42-inch LED BLU which was based on 300 RGB LEDs. We have done an adjustment of LEDs' strip distance and a height of the top of the LED to the back of the LCD to get white color uniformity. So, we have changed simultaneously the distance between the top of the LEDs and the back of the LCD. Moreover, we set a fixed position for the horizontal of LED's pitch. And then, we have experimented and compared to our simulation data.

  • If a dangerous situation arises in a place where out of reach from the human, UAVs can be used to determine the size and location of the situation to reduce the further damage. With this in mind, this paper sets the minimum value of the roll, pitch, and yaw using beta flight to detect the UAV's smooth hovering, integration, and derivative (PID) values to ensure that the UAV stays horizontal, minimizing errors for safe hovering, and the camera uses Open CV to install the Raspberry Pi program and then HSV (color, saturation, Brightness) using the color palette, the filter is black and white except for the red color, which is the closest to the fire we want, so that the UAV detects the image in the air in real time. Finally, it was confirmed that hovering was possible at a height of 0.5 to 5m, and red color recognition was possible at a distance of 5cm and at a distance of 5m.

  • A fundamental assumption in conventional linear predictive coding (LPC) analysis procedure is that the input to an all-pole vocal tract filter is white process. In the case of periodic inputs, however, a pitch bias error is introduced into the conventional LP coefficient. Multi-pulse (MP) LP analysis can reduce this bias, provided that an estimate of the excitation is available. Since the prediction error of conventional LP analysis can be modeled as the sum of an MP excitation sequence and a random noise sequence, we can view extracting MP sequences from the prediction error as a classical detection and estimation problem. In this paper, we propose an algorithm in which the locations and amplitudes of the MP sequences are first obtained by applying a likelihood ratio test (LRT) to the prediction error, and LP coefficients free of pitch bias are then obtained from the MP sequences. To verify the performance enhancement, we iterate the above procedure with adaptive threshold at each step.

  • When there are background noises or some people speaking at the same time, a human's auditory sense has the ability to listen the target speech signal with a specific purpose through Auditory Scene Analysis. The CASA system with human's auditory faculty system is able to segregate the speech. However, the performance of CASA system is reduced when the CASA system fails to determine the correct position of the speech. In order to correct the error in locating the speech on the CASA system, voice activity detection algorithm is proposed in this paper, which is a combined auditory scene analysis with PAR(Periodic to Aperiodic component Ratio). The experiments have been conducted to evaluate the performance of voice activity detection in environments of white noise and car noise with the change of SNR 15~0dB. In this paper, by comparing the existing algorithms (Pitch and Guoning Hu) with the proposed algorithm, the accuracy of the voice activity detection performance has been improved as the following: improvement of maximum 4% at SNR 15dB and maximum 34% at SNR 0dB for white noise and car noise, respectively.

  • A single channel adaptive noise canceling (ANC) technique is presented for removing effects of additive noise on the speech signal. The conventional method obtains a reference signal using the pitch estimated on a frame basis from the input speech. The proposed method, however, gets the reference signal using the delay estimated recursively on a sample by sample basis. To estimate the delay, we derive recursion formula of autocorrelation function and average magnitude difference function. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated for the speech signals distorted by the additive white Gaussian noise. Experimental results with normalized least mean square (NLMS) adaptive algorithm demonstrate that the proposed method improves the perceived speech quality quite well besides the signal-to-noise ratio.

  • 24mm-thick specimens from three species of plantation-grown softwood were press dried under two platen pressures of 1.75kgf/$cm^2$ and 3.50kgf/$cm^2$ to obtain drying information regarding to drying rate, thickness shrinkage and drying defects. The influence of platen pressure on drying fare in range of moisture content (30 to 10 percent) increased for pitch pine and larch, but reduced for korean white pine at higher pressure. Thickness shrinkage was increased at the higher pressure, and estimated thickness shrinkage at final MC of 10 percent became unrealistically greater for specimens containing higher final moisture content under the great influence of compressive strain. The effects of pressure on the amount of surface checks and honeycombing were different from species used. These species should have applied lower temperature than 177$^{\circ}C$ in this study to reduce surface checks and honeycombing.

  • Objectives The purpose of this study is to estimate the differences in sensory responses(Visual, Auditory, Olfactory and Taste responses) among Sasang Constitution. Methods We recruited 90 healthy subjects who were divided into three groups(30 Soeumin, 30 Soyangin, 30 Taeeumin). First, subjects saw the photo of 'the dress' and were asked to answer three questions about 'the dress'. And we evaluated auditory function by a Tone Deaf Test(TDT) and Adaptive Pitch Test(APT). Olfactory function was evaluated by using Korean Version of Sniffing' Sticks(KVSS) Test II and Taste function was evaluated by using taste strips. Results and Conclusion 1. Overall, 60% of subjects described 'the dress' as blue/black(B/B); 23.3% as white/gold(W/G); 16.7% as something else, and the difference in the proportion of reporting color of 'the dress' was statistically significant. 2. As the result of analysis of taste strips according to Sasang constitution, there was significant difference that Soyangin scored higher than Soeumin in sweet taste score. 3. As the results of analysis of auditory function test(TDT, APT) and that of olfactory function test(KVSS Test II) according to Sasang constitution, there were no statistically significant differences.
