미술가와 역사-미술사 교육의 한계와 전망 (Artist and History: Looking at the current problems of teaching art history in art school)

  • It has been frequently pointed out that the established art history with the stylistic and iconographic interpretations and monographic analysis is fallen behind the currency of modern art. Among those who claimed the crisis in the discipline of art history, there is a suggestion that the art historical study should be fostered by other factors in the fields of the humanities. The so called New Art History or 'visual Culture Studies' insists that art history has to be restructured to integrate the broader study of culture and society, and by now, such an opinion is not a novelty at all. One of the most significant yet overlooked elements that induced the new currency of art history is properties of contemporary art that conflict the traditional claim of art historians. Although the idea that art is not purely aesthetic but that it has many other functions has been brought up by the art historians, it was the artists that provoked such a perception. When Arthur C. Danto and Hans Belting proclaimed the End of Art and Art History in the 1980s, the concept of art has been changed radically through the avant-garde tendency of Modernism and a new pluralism of Postmodernism. One dominant concern that strikes art historians is to find a new approach to art, since the traditional method and goal of analysis for past art and past art history seem unavailable. The perplexity arising from the situation is intensified in the field of teaching art, especially for those who teach art history in art school. Basically art history is a pursuit of learning of art in history, and its purpose is to reconcile the present with the past and the future as well. Since Modernism, as it is confusing sometimes because it implies the present state, somehow art became considered 'tradition-less'. It does not mean that a work of art stands aloof from the past attainments, hut modern art imposed itself on a task seeking after the new for its own sake, turning its back on the tradition. And now in the era of Postmodernism, an historians face the requirement to revaluate the whole history of art including modernism. The necessity of art history in art education is indisputable, but methods and contents in the academic courses should he reexamined now. Because artists' concept of history and past art has been altered, and art history as a humanistic discipline can only maintain its identity through incorporation with art itself. Academics teaching art history, or, strictly speaking, past works of art and history, to the student in art school, confront with the need to rethink the object of art history and its meaning to the artists.

농어촌 독거노인 공동생활주거 실태조사 연구 - 충남지역 시범사업을 중심으로 - (Research on the Actual Condition of the Group Homes for the Elderly Living Alone In Farming and Fishing Villages - With Focus on Demonstration Projects in the Chungnam Region -)

  • Due to rapid decrease in population of farming and fishing villages and drain of young rural manpower to the cities, aging is being intensified, and the conditions of housing and welfare of elderly households are inadequate. Currently, group home is being discussed as part of specialized housing and welfare support policy for the people in the vulnerable class with poor self-supporting abilities such as the aged living alone in farming and fishing villages, and aged farming and fishing households. So the purpose of this research is to present the basic data for proposing the policy of supplying group home through examining the realities of housing and welfare of the people in the vulnerable class in farming and fishing villages. Survey was conducted on the 4 regions -Cheonan-si, Gongju-si, Yesan-gun, and Seosan-si - whose apartments were all occupied by the residents among the group homes for the elderly living alone in Chungcheongnam-do and the following results were derived from the analysis on the data collected from the survey. First, great effects can be attained at small costs by reorganizing and utilizing the public facilities that are unused or little used and the existing houses that are exposed to risks due to improper maintenance. Second, it can be pointed out that the residential environment of the vulnerable members of society was improved without impairing the existing village landscape. Third, housing welfare was enhanced without investing a large sum of money and the system to promptly cope with negligent accidents and emergency can be built and operated. Fourth, the cases promoted to solve the problems of the poor, unhygienic, and unsafe housing of the elderly and the vulnerable members of society were very positive and well worthy of being presented as planning direction of future group homes in farming and fishing villages. Finally, if they are operated entirely for free, it will cause the lack of the sense of ownership and the problems in securing the budget, so the ways of paying minimum individual housing expenses should be examined. The alternatives of housing welfare for the vulnerable members of farming and fishing villages are needed and the ways of constructive planning and researches should be continuously made. Also, the government's support policy should be actively promoted.

  • 아이디어는 소멸하지 않으며 지식생산과정에 수확체감의 법칙이 작용하지도 않는다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 사적측면만을 고려하는 단순한 내생적 성장모형에서는 지속적 경제성장이 달성되지 않게 된다. 그러나, 지식자본의 비전유성을 고려하여 이를 공적자본으로 간주하게 되면 지속적 경제성장은 달성될 수 있게 된다. 우리 경제에 대한 실증분석 결과가 지식의 공적자본으로서의 성격을 강하게 뒷받침함을 확인할 수 있다. 즉, 제품혁신 생산함수에 대한 모든 함수형태에서 지식자본이 사적재화라는 귀무가설을 모두 기각할 수 있다. 이상의 결과로부터 우리 경제는 제품혁신을 통해 지속적 경제성장을 달성할 수 있다는 시사점을 얻을 수 있다.

하수도시설물도 자동 검수 방안 연구 (A Study on the Automatic Inspection of Sewer Facility Map)

  • 국가GIS구축사업의 일환으로 상 하수도를 비롯한 지하시설물도가 수치지도로 구축되어 왔으며 이렇게 구축된 지하시설물 수치지도를 지자체에서 관련 업무에 효율적으로 활용하기 위해서는 그 정확도를 신뢰할 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 지방자치단체에서 하수시설물에 대한 고품질의 DB를 구축하는데 필요한 효율적인 검수방안을 제시하여 공공측량 성과심사 품질기준에 적합하도록 할 뿐만 아니라 지하시설물도를 지방자치단체의 관련분야에서 활용될 경우 분석 상 오류에 대한 원인을 제거함으로써 부정확한 의사결정을 방지할 수 있도록 하고자 한다. 이를 위해 공공측량 성과심사기관에서 요구하는 지하시설물도의 품질기준과 검수현황을 살펴보았고, 지하시설물에서 발생하는 오류유형을 분석하였다. 또한 이러한 오류유형을 바탕으로 기존 현장 검수 방법의 한계점을 파악하였으며, 하수관거의 속성을 기준으로 정확도를 향상시키기 위한 논리적 일관성, 기하구조의 적합성을 분석하는 관망분석 검수 방안을 제시하였다.

헌혈자의 헌혈기록정보의 인식도 및 만족도 연구 (The Study of Health Information on Recognition and Satisfaction of Their Blood Donation)

  • 본 연구는 헌혈 참여자들의 헌혈에 대한 지식과 인식 및 만족도, 효과적이라고 생각하는 홍보방안에 대해 살펴보고 자발적이고 지속적인 헌혈인구의 확대방안 마련의 기초자료를 얻기 위하여 시도되었다. 자료수집기간은 2012년 3월 9일부터 3월 24일까지 16일간이었고, 자료의 수집방법은 설문조사로 총 700부를 배포하여 636부를 최종 분석 자료로 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0을 이용하여 빈도분석 및 교차분석, t-test, ANOVA를 시행한 결과 첫째, 남성, 20~29세의 범위 연령층에서, 학생, 대졸이상의 집단에서 높은 분포를 보였다. 둘째, 헌혈에 대한 지식과 인식도는 모른다는 내용이 많았으며, 만족도는 헌혈행위에 대한 만족보다는 헌혈과 관련된 서비스 만족도 점수가 더 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 헌혈 홍보에서는 홍보교육이 필요하며 홍보매체와 수단으로는 TV, 거리광고, 전철광고 방법 순의 결과를 보였으며 지속적인 헌혈을 위하여 헌혈에 대한 긍정적인 인식이 필요하다는 결과를 보였다. 그러므로 헌혈인구 확대를 위해서는 헌혈에 대한 지속적인 교육, 홍보를 통하여 대국민 인식변화를 유도하고 헌혈자에 대한 다양한 보상 이벤트제공 등으로 헌혈에 대한 더욱 적극적인 방법을 모색해야 할 것이다.

과학 교사와의 면담을 통해 알아 본 과학 선택 중심 교육과정의 운영 실태 (A Study on School-level Science Elective-centered Curriculum Operation Through Science Teacher Interviews)

  • 이 연구에서는 고등학교에서 이루어지고 있는 과학 선택 중심 교육과정 운영 실태와 문제점을 서울과 경기 지역 과학 교사 12명과의 면담을 통해 알아보았다. 학생들은 과학 선택 과목의 성격이나 내용에 대해 구체적인 안내가 미흡한 상태에서 과목을 선택하도록 되어 있으며, 자연계열 과목을 우선적으로 개설한 다음 교사 수급 및 시수 균등 배분을 고려해서 인문계열 과목을 개설하는 경향이 있어 특히 인문계열 학생의 과목 선택이 제한을 받고 있었다. 소수 희망 선택 과목의 경우, 인문계열에서는 학생들의 과목 선택에 대한 낮은 관심, 자연계열에서는 내신 산출에서 불이익 등 입시에서의 유 불리로 인하여 과목이 개설되지 않는 경우가 대부분이었다. 조사에 참여한 12개 학교 중에서 계열을 통합하여 내신을 산출하는 학교는 6개교였으며, 그 밖의 6개교에서는 이수 단위, 이수 학년이나 과목명을 달리하여 계열별로 따로 내신 성적을 산출하고 있었다. 참여자들은 평가에서의 제한, 별도 지도안 작성에 따른 부담 등으로 인해 계열별 학생 집단의 특성을 수업에 반영하는 것에는 어려움을 느끼고 있었다. 선택 중심 교육과정의 문제점으로는 인문 계열에서는 입시 영향이 적은 것으로 인한 낮은 학습 동기와 인문계열 학생에게 부적합한 개념 위주의 과목 성격, 자연계열에서는 대입 전형에서의 유불리와 관련한 과목 선택 편중화 등이 지적되었다.

한국 정신박약아의 실태 조사 연구(교육기관 및 시설을 중심으로) (Study on Institutionalized Mentally Retarded Children in Korea(Particularly Regarding Their Accommodation and Education Facilities))

  • As the result of a survey conducted by the author on the status of tile 12 educational institutions for mentally retarded children in Korea and their quartering facilities as well as on 934 children accommodated in such institutions, the following conclusion has been reached: 1) More than a half (approximately 58 percent) of the facilities for mentally retarded children are concentrated in Seoul. About eighty-three percent of these facilities are private establishments, of which 70 percent have their proprietors concurrently as their superintendents. Although these facilities were first established as many as 22 years ago, it has been only five or six years since education was actually started for mentally restarted children. 2) Out of a total of 179 employes, teachers number 99, there by constituting approximately 57.6 percent. Out of them, however, only 32 teachers or 2.8 percent have special teachers licenses. Thus, each teachers has to take care of an average of 29 children. This is excessive a number of children per teachers in view of the special nature of this education, there by indication how urgent it would be to secure more teachers lot this field. 3) Out of the mantally retarded children investigated 57.6 percent suffer from physical disorder in addition to mental retardation, 53.0 percent from mental alienation illnesses besides retardation, and 25 pent from physical, mental disorders in addition to retardation. It is therefore necessary to maintain medical and nursing facilities together with educational facilities. however, two places have no medical facilities at all, and four other places, without medical personnel, have to receive medical support from nearby hospitals or clinics. 4) The total number of children in the surveyed facilities is 934, who can be broken down into 58.7 percent boys and 41.3 percent for girls. They are classified into 12.5 percent for idiot, 37.7 percent for imbeciles, 32.7 percent for morons, and 17.3 percent for thoes children on borderline. Their average age is 13.9 years. 5) As the result of education, the illiteracy rate of mentally retarded children has decreased from 78.1 percent to 32.1 percent while the percentage of those taking the primary school course has increased for 12.2 per cent to 33.5 percent. As a result, it has been learned that education is definitely necessary for Retarded children though it may be a difficult task. 6) The children who have mentally retarded children among their brothers or sisters constitute 6.3 percent of the total number. The corresponding rate for boys is 3.5 percent while that for girls is a remarkably higher rate 10.6 percent. Through studies on the causes of their mental retardation, it has been learned that 39.6 percent of them is of the inherent type and 35.3 percent is of the environmental type. Control and improvement of health of mothers and children, early diagnosis and early treatment are believed to be very important because they could prevent or alleviant much of these conditions. 7) The storage age of teachers and employes is 35.3 years, an indication that a great proportion of them is experienced in a way or another as their major difficulty or problems in serving with these special school, 22.5 percent cited inadequate payment 24.5 gave the inadequate public understanding, and 22.5 percent pointed out the lack of understanding on the part of give parents.

폭발하중을 받는 콘크리트 벽체 구조물의 보강 성능에 대한 해석적 분석 (Analytical Evaluations of the Retrofit Performances of Concrete Wall Structures Subjected to Blast Load)

  • 폭발하중을 받는 콘크리트 구조물을 섬유 복합재 등의 보강 재료를 사용하여 보강하는 경우에는 강성 증가와 함께 적절한 연성을 확보할 수 있어야 한다. 그러나, 폭발하중을 받는 구조물의 설계 및 해석에 일반적으로 사용되는 기존의 근사적이며 단순화 모델은 보강 재료에 대한 효과를 정확히 반영할 수 없을 뿐 아니라 해석 결과의 정확성 및 신뢰성에 문제가 제기되어왔다. 또한, 동적 하중에 대한 콘크리트와 철근의 응답은 정적 하중에 대한 응답과 상이하기 때문에 기존의 정적, 준정적하에서 정의된 재료물성값들을 폭발하중에 대한 응답 계산에 사용하는 것은 부적절하다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 명시적(explicit) 해석 프로그램인 LS-DYNA를 사용하여 매우 빠른 재하속도를 갖는 폭발하중에 대하여 강도 증진 및 변형률 속도 효과가 반영된 재료 모델을 포함하고 있는 정밀 HFPB(high fidelity physics based) 유한요소해석 기법을 제시하였다. 제시된 해석적 기법을 통하여 탄소섬유 복합재와 유리섬유 복합재를 사용하여 보강된 콘크리트 벽체의 폭발하중에 대한 거동을 해석하였으며, 이를 보강하지 않은 벽체의 해석 결과와 비교함으로써 보강 성능 분석을 실시하였다. 해석 결과 보강에 따른 최대 처짐이 약 $26{\sim}28%$ 감소하는 보강 성능을 확인하였으며, 제안된 해석 기법이 보강 재료와 보강 기법의 유효성을 평가하는데 효과적으로 적용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

N2 Method를 이용한 RC 중간모멘트 연성골조의 반응수정계수 및 내진성능 평가 (Estimation of R-factor and Seismic Performance for RC IMRFs using N2 Method)

  • 반응수정계수는 구조물의 비탄성 거동을 설계에 반영하고 설계지진력 산정시 설계강도를 탄성범위 이내로 저감시키기 위한 목적으로 사용하고 있다. 그러나 설계코드에서 채택하고 있는 반응수정계수는 과거의 지진피해로부터 관찰된 보편적 구조성능에 기인한 경험치이므로, 주기에 따른 동적성능과 구조 시스템의 구성에 따른 내진성능을 정확히 대변하지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 중간모멘트 연성골조를 대상으로 N2 Method를 이용하여 반응수정계수와 내진성능을 평가하였으며, 그 결과를 미국의 IBC 2000 코드와 비교하여 이론적 타당성을 검증하였다. 해석결과 코드에 제시된 반응수정계수와 잘 부합되는 것으로 나타났으나, 동일한 구조시스템의 경우에도 주기에 따라 비교적 큰 차이를 보였다. 성능목표에 따른 사용성 기준을 설정하여 IDI를 평가한 결과, 설계지진에 대한 성능목표가 건물에 대한 내진성능을 대변하기는 어려우며 PBD(Performance Based Design)에 의거한 합리적인 접근이 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

Directions towards sustainable agricultural systems in Korea

  • The question of how to establish sustainable agricultural systems has become as prominent as questions related to water, energy and climate change. High input/high output agriculture has brought with it many adverse effects; the massive deterioration of soil and water in both quantity and quality, increased greenhouse gas emissions and an increased prevalence of unsafe foods. Additionally, urbanization and climate change has worsened the shortage of farmland and reduced the supply of agricultural water. Given these challenges, maintaining, conserving and efficiently using agri-environmental resources, through fostering of sustainable agriculture, have emerged as key tasks in solving these problems. What is needed therefore is research, based on systematic and comprehensive empirical analyses, that can propose plans and methods for establishing an appropriate sustainable agricultural system. The empirical analysis of sustainable agricultural system is approached separately from economic, environmental and social aspects. An analysis of environment effect reveals that the available phosphate level is 1.3~2.1 times greater than the optimal amount in rice paddies, upland fields and orchards. Further examination has revealed that the excess nutrient is polluting both ground water and surface water. Analytical results for economic feasibility show that factors of production have been invested heavily in the rice crop. Under these conditions, sustainable agriculture, including low-input agriculture, appears to be a possible alternative that will facilitate simultaneous improvements in both economic feasibility and environment effects. Analysis results for sociality reveal that social factors include the value of producer, association and interior networks. Social conditions are comprised of leadership, consumers' awareness, education and conflict solutions. In addition, analysis as to the degree investments contribute to improving agricultural value added has revealed that the direct payment program is the most effective instrument. Experts confirm that economic feasibility can be improved by scientific and well-reasoned nutrient management on the basis of soil testing. Farmers pointed to 'economic factors' as being the largest obstacle to switching to the practice of sustainable agriculture. They also indicate 'uncertainty with regards to sustainable agriculture technology' as an impediment to practicing sustainable agriculture. Even so, farmers who believe environmental and regional issues to be the most pressing problems have expanded their practice of sustainable agriculture. The keys to establishing sustainable agriculture system are classified into the following four aspects. Firstly, from an economic aspect, the research indicates that agricultural policy needs to be integrated with environmental policy and that the function of market making based on the value chain needs to be revitalized. Secondly, from an environmental aspect, there is a need for an optimal resource management system to be established in the agricultural sector. In addition, sustainable agriculture practice will need to be extended with attendant environmentally-friendly and sustainable intensive technology also requiring further development. Thirdly, from a social aspect, green agriculture management needs to be fostered, technology and education extended, and social conflict mediated. Lastly, from a governance aspect, it will be necessary to strengthen good governance, assign and share suitable roles and responsibilities, build a cooperation system and utilize community supported agriculture.
