개에서 특발성 위 분문부 및 유문부 괄약근이완무력증 1례 (Idiopathic Concurrent Gastric Cardiac and Pyloric Achalasia in a Dog)

  • A 4-month-old, intact male, Tosa with a history of a regurgitation, vomiting, and weight loss for three weeks was presented to Animal Medical Center, Chonbuk National University. In Serial plain radiographs, a severely distended stomach was seen and ultrasonogram revealed a nonfunctional pylorus with normal layer comparable with an obstruction of pyloric region by pyloric achalasia. An esophagram and endoscopy revealed normal peristalsis with failure of the lower esophageal sphincter to open, supporting the diagnosis of esophageal achalasia. Megaesophagus was observed on reradiograph and esophagram 11 days later. The clinical signs and esophageal dilation were resolved without resorting to any treatment.

  • This research is experimental paper to prepare the structural safety of the upper bridge for support type on tunnel and the effect of settlement. Unit weight test and uni-axial compression test have been performed to simulate the physical property of foundation on the tunnel. Tunnel model of slip form type for centrifuge model has been developed to performed the tunnel excavation while field stress is activated. And the support type of tunnel such as umbrella arch method and large diameter steel pipe reinforce method has been tested for the centrifuge model. After the analysis of experiment, results show that internal displacement of large diameter steel pipe reinforce method is smaller than that of the umbrella arch method.

Application of Polymer Brush to Enzyme-Multilayered Porous Hollow-Fiber Membrane

  • Anion-exchange porous hollow-fiber membranes with a thickness of about 1.2 mm and a pore size of about $0.30{\mu}m$ were used as a supporting matrix to immobilize cycloisomaltooligosaccharide glucanotransferase (CITase). CITase was immobilized to the membrane via anion-exchange adsorption and by subsequent enzymatic cross-linking with transglutaminase, the amount of which ranged from 3 to 110 mg per g of the membrane. The degree of enzyme multilayer binding was equivalent to 0.3 to 9.8. Dextran, as the substrate, was converted into seven- to nine-glucose-membered cycloisomaltooligosaccharides (CI-7, -8, and -9) at a maxi mum yield of $28\%$ in weight at a space velocity of 10 per hour during the permeation of $2.0(w/w)\%$ dextran solution across the CITase-immobilized porous hollow-fiber membrane.

  • In this study, an optimum support design problem is considered to minimize displacement of stacked plates under self weight condition. During the displacement analysis, several kinds of contact arise between the plates themselves and support bar. These can be easily considered if commercial analysis software, which provides capability to solve the contact problem, is used. It is found, however, that the computing time is extraordinarily long due possibly to the generality of the software and also to the ignorance of the control parameters used in the software. In this paper, the contact condition is imposed directly by the authors, while the software is used only to solve the ordinary displacement analysis problem. In this way, the computing time is decreased remarkably by more than 30 times, while yielding the same accurate results. Optimization is conducted based on this efficient analysis method to find minimum number of supporting bars using the response surface algorithm.

중국.일본과 우리나라의 추녀설치방식의 비교 연구 (Comparing the Installing Angle Rafter of China.Japan and Korea)

  • As wooden construction developed, it was observed that the rafters with corners changed to angled rafters. The change from rafters to angle rafters means that the angle rafters became the most important member in supporting the roof weight as the construction scale increased and structurally developed. The specific installation methods of angle rafters were all unique in Korea, China, and Japan. In East Asia, the angle of the angle rafter gradually decreased along with the development of construction. However, in Joseon Dynasty Korea, the angle of the angle rafter was larger than that of the Gorye era because the method of fixing the corner of the roof more firmly by building the fan-shaped rafter was utilized. The changes to the angle rafter installation method is a unique characteristic of Korea, in that it was developed in a totally different way from the methods used in China and Japan.

  • Based on the design requirements(size, strength, structure, weight, and etc.) for the rubber-tired AGT vehicle, carbody made of aluminum alloy is designed. The analysis of strength and stiffness is performed in the designed carbody, which results in the modification for optimal shapes and structures. It consists of a under frame, side frame, roof frame, end frame and forehead frame. After the carbody manufactured, tests are performed, which are vertical load test, longitudinal compressive load test, twisting load test, twisting natural frequency measurement, bending natural frequency measurement and 3 points supporting test. Results of them can guarantee a structural safety.

  • Due to the irregularity of walking ground and the inaccuracy in trajectory control of a leg, the mechanical shock and slip on the ground can be caused in the landing and supporting legs of a walkin g robot, and the robot may lose walking stability. Especially in a jointed-leg type walking robot, those problems are much more severe than in the pantograph type since the leg-weight of the jointed-leg type walking robot is relatively heavier than that of the pantograph type in general. In order to secure the walking stability for the jointed-leg type quadrupedal robot under development in KIST(Korea Institute of Science and Technology), a balancing algorithm consisting of the leg compliance control and the body posture control is implemented in this paper, and the effectiveness of the algorithm is verified through experiments.

그린팀버월 패널의 전단성능 (Shear performance of green timber wall panels)

  • Korean building industry was developed by concrete and steel construction. However, concrete and steel have some problems which low carbon storage capability and difficulty of recycling. According to many studies, timber has high carbon storage capability, high recycling capability and sustainable supporting capability. Focus on this factors of timber, make new wall structure as Green Timber Wall panels and check the shear performance to use wall system in housing construction such as light-weight timber construction and nondearing wall on other construction. In the results, B-4-B and B-4-S show similar modulus of shear stiffness on the table. GH-4-GH has slip shape failure mode between Green Timber Wall boards. GH-4-GV has most stable characteristic curve than other specimens.

  • State of the art and current issues related with the RC and PSC structure system for the magnetic levitation train were investigated. The German and China magnetic levitation train adopted a new kind of a structure to enable high-speed transportation, which allows the use of the space over a ground. The loading from magnetic levitation trains is light-weight compared with a regular train due to load distribution to a supporting structure. Therefore, the magnetic levitation train is considered an economical and efficient transportation system, and is also an environmentally-sustainable structure. In this paper, the structural design and construction technology specific to a magnetic levitation train were discussed, and structural considerations related with an actual operation of the train were pointed out. In addition, the future research area of a magnetic levitation train was proposed
