E-business Strategies for Management stages on the Website

  • E-business managers must make a profit on the goods and services they sell. But e-business retailers are still searching for strategies that work. To test current practices, we became 'phantom shoppers' and bought a randomly chosen set of CDs from a variety of E-business manager. Our findings suggest that order management and logistics skills are pivotal for selling profitably on the Website. In this article, we show how e-business managers can deploy resources creatively to attract the right shoppers, convert these shoppers into buyers, and improve the chances of repeat purchase while maintaining profit margins.

Designing and Evaluating Websites from both Users' and Designers' Perspectives (웹 디자인의 요소 평가: 이용자 관점과 디자이너 관점의 비교 연구)

  • Diverse disciplines such as information science, computer science, cognitive science, and industrial design, are activity engaged in the website evaluation research efforts. Information scientists emphasize the importance of user-centered and user-friendly website design, which is also easy to use, This idea is based on the understanding that the users and the designers are different set of people. In addition, information scientists consider the practice of maximally incorporating user inputs during the website design to be very important guideline. However, this study is based on a newly emerging population of website users who are also designers. 218 study participants evaluated the websites that they designed in comparison to the websites designed by others. According to the survey data analysis, the study participants considered the content delivery, design simplicity, design consistency, and link access of the websites to be equally important from both users' and designers' perspectives. However, the content organization, rich content, and screen composition were underestimated from the designers' point of view whereas these factors were considered to be important from users' point of view.

Assessment of Student Perceptions of a Lecture Club on a Social Networking Website

  • Efforts were made to improve the efficiency of college education through the use of information technology. This paper investigates student perceptions of a lecture club provided on a social networking website. For the empirical study, the instructor ran a lecture club for two consecutive semesters on Cyworld (www.cyworld.co.kr), a popular website among Korean youth. The research subjects were students enrolled in a Popular Culture & Fashion class. A questionnaire was distributed on the last day of the lectures. After excluding students with perfunctory responses and those who did not sign up for the community website, a total number of 297 questionnaires were used for analysis. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis, one-way ANOVA analysis, Duncan test, and t-test were carried out, with the SPSS for Windows 12.0 being used for statistical analysis. The findings show that most students subscribed to the website and responded with a favorable attitude that the lecture club was helpful.

Tor Network Website Fingerprinting Using Statistical-Based Feature and Ensemble Learning of Traffic Data (트래픽 데이터의 통계적 기반 특징과 앙상블 학습을 이용한 토르 네트워크 웹사이트 핑거프린팅)

  • This paper proposes a website fingerprinting method using ensemble learning over a Tor network that guarantees client anonymity and personal information. We construct a training problem for website fingerprinting from the traffic packets collected in the Tor network, and compare the performance of the website fingerprinting system using tree-based ensemble models. A training feature vector is prepared from the general information, burst, cell sequence length, and cell order that are extracted from the traffic sequence, and the features of each website are represented with a fixed length. For experimental evaluation, we define four learning problems (Wang14, BW, CWT, CWH) according to the use of website fingerprinting, and compare the performance with the support vector machine model using CUMUL feature vectors. In the experimental evaluation, the proposed statistical-based training feature representation is superior to the CUMUL feature representation except for the BW case.

  • Recently, e-Biz Companies are paying attention to e-CRM in an effort to utilize meaningful customers' information obtained using their websites. e-Biz companies try to increase the profit by collecting customers' data, serving customers better through interactive communications and differentiating customers' management using their websites. Although it is found that corporates' websites play a critical role in e-CRM, only a few researches have been conducted related to the effective website design. Tn this study, desirable website design factors were identified through literature review, and an empirical study was conducted to identify how these factors are related to customer's loyalty measured via customer's intention for continuous use and recommendation the website to others. Also this study was designed to suggest a benchmark for the companies which plan to build a website for e-CRM in the future.

The Role of Website Characteristics on Impulse Buying (의류웹사이트 특성과 충동구매행동의 상관관계에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between online apparel impulse buying behavior and apparel website characteristics. The data were collected using an online survey with a structured questionnaire. To recruit participants, online surveys were collected and a total of 236 college students were used in the study. The results of factor analysis showed that website characteristics consisted of two factors (i.e., promotion, product/policy information). The results of MANOVA and multiple regression showed that the impulse purchase group evaluated the website where they bought the last apparel item significantly better in promotion and product/policy information than the non-impulse purchase group. Based on the results, H1, H2, and H3 were supported. The evaluations of the characteristics of websites where impulse purchases and non-impulse purchases of apparel products were made were significantly different.

  • Internet Website has become part of daily life. The public library tends to use the website for the information service and the public relations as well. This study aims to evaluate the Web Accessibility for improving universal services in five public libraries website, Seoul Area. Accessibility testing are used two method, that is A-Prompt analysis and HTML Validation Evaluation. The results of evaluation showed that they have been in error. Finally this study well be used for web accessibility in library website.

  • The A low-cost carriers(LCC)' website represents their public face to the world. Futhermore, distribution through their own websites is generally regarded as the being most cost effective for airlines The Internet website has become an effective marketing vehicle for low-cost carriers(LCC). The objective of this study was to examine theoretical relationship of website quality, e-satisfaction, e-trust, and e-loyalty to the low-cost carriers' website. The study sample included respondents who had visited any LCC websites in the last 12 months. Data were collected by conducting a web-based survey to maintain respondents' anonymity and overcome time and place constraints. From the 334 usable data obtained, hypotheses are tested using structural equation modeling. The results indicate that website quality, e-satisfaction, and e-trust are antecedents of e-loyalty in loyalty relationships between passengers and low-cost carriers' websites. Website quality positively influences e-satisfaction, e-trust while e-satisfaction. However, contrary to our expectation, e-satisfaction has a negative effect on e-trust. Managerial implications are provided following presentation of the findings.

Development of a Nutrition Education Website for Children (초등학생 대상의 영양교육 웹사이트 개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a nutrition education website for children, especially those around the 4th-6th grade levels. Among the already existing websites providing nutritional information for children, 7 websites with comparable amounts of information were evaluated in terms of their topics, credibility, content, ease of use, and aesthetics. In addition, a survey was conducted to assess the need for nutrition information among 305 elementary students. The food pyramid was the topic offered most often on those websites. Information on nutrients, digestion, food safety, nutrition labeling, and healthy eating habits were available on the websites. Some of those websites also provided games or quizzes to attract the children's interest. However, seine of the websites did not give any information on the person responsible for providing the information, which is most important in determining the credibility of the website. Other problems were that some information was too difficult for children, and some of the websites did not provide a way to search for information. According to the survey results, the topics that children wanted to know about were‘desirable weight’,‘cooking’,‘correct food choice’,‘weight control method’,‘calories consumed during exercise’, but, they did not have a high interest in‘asking questions’‘books with nutrition messages’,‘under weight’,‘negative effect of weight control’and‘helping hungry children’. Based on these results, we developed a new nutrition education web-site, ifood’(http: //1 ifood.or.kr). We focused on helping children develop healthy eating habits by providing information which is easy and practical for children. However, we neither included the program to assess their dietary intake, nor provided entertaining background sounds, which children like. Also, the game section is composed mainly of quizzes. Therefore, we need to further develop exciting games to teach nutrition to children. In the near future, the newly developed website should be evaluated by children regarding understandability and coverage of the contents as well as usability and design, and then revised to improve the educational effect.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a model for a medical information website for public library use. Applying the six processes of website development - planning, analysis, design implementation, promotion, and innovation as a research methodology, seven medical information websites are analyzed. The evaluating criteria includes interface layout, contents, function aspects. Based on the results, a medical information website is implemented. This developing methodology will help nonprofessionals in the medical information area understand interface and domain Information.
