  • WebInterphone is a temporary composite word made with a Web and a Interphone, and the WebInterphone system has been developed as a new ahrdware/software solution under the .NET environment to remove the drawback of a Interphone which is used only if a host and a visitor should be in same place. In the WebInterphone system, a WebInterphone is connected to a home PC which is also connected to Internet such that a host and a visitor could have a real time communications even though nobody is at home. In this paper, the structure of the WebInterphone system and its operation process are discussed.

  • According to the increasing use of information in the mobile web environment, web information techniques previously developed considering only a specific platform become unable to use. Such techniques need to be replaced by the web standard techniques guaranteeing interoperability and to develop a new graphic user interface required in the mobile web environment. Based on such backgrounds, this paper surveyed the standards for implementing web geographic information system(GIS) service considering mobile and desktop environments. Based on the survey results, a GIS system configured with open source is designed and web mapping clients based on ExtJs are implemented for mobile and desktop environments. For the purpose of coping with the new web standard environment, the methods and prototype system suggested and implemented in the paper can be used as a case study to implement a GIS in the use of mobile and desktop environments.

  • According to the 2021 Mobile Augmented Reality Market Report by Korea Innovation Foundation, the augmented reality market has been growing recently due to the growth of the mobile augmented reality market along with the development of smartphones. In order to provide augmented reality services to mobile users, it is necessary to create native apps for each device. However, there are problems such as maintenance costs for multi-platform and low accessibility due to app download. Recently, the construction of augmented reality system in a web-based environment by using the WebXR Device API is in progress, but it is judged that the system using the WebXR Device API is still in the research stage. In this paper, a responsive multi-platform environment was built using the WebXR Device API, Three JS, and React, and a function to provide augmented reality service to mobile and web users was implemented. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that the interlocking of augmented reality was successfully implemented in a responsive web environment, and look forward to the augmented reality service operating on the web in the future.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and present a strategic framework for mobile Internet marketing in the $Web^2$ environment. The $Web^2$ mobile Internet marketing is characterized by services, such as augmented reality and social network services. Considering the changes in the effects and types of advertisements in the mobile Internet, few studies of mobile advertisements have been conducted thus far in the $Web^2$ environment, including the cloud computing environment. Accordingly, this research aims to identify the relationships between importance and satisfaction and to uncover the characteristics of mobile advertisements through smart phones using the IPA (Importance-performance Analysis) methodology in the $Web^2$ environment. To induce the minimum required characteristics of a mobile advertisement in terms of the importance and satisfaction of IPA, Kano's model is applied to this analysis. The study also probes the relationships between the overall satisfaction and factors of each dimension of IPA through a regression analysis. As a result, this study presents four types of $Web^2$ mobile Internet marketing strategies. It was also confirmed that the maintenance reinforcement factors of the IPA dimension affect the degree of overall satisfaction. This study has implications for businesses and researchers preparing $Web^2$ mobile services and marketing.

  • Up to recently, with the improvement of a computer power and high speed of network technology, advanced countries have researched a construction of the e-Science environment. As a major application part, a construction for environment of CFD, also, have studied together. During the research, people realize that not sharing hardware but also appropriate software development is really important to realize the environment. This paper describes about a construction of a collaborative research environment in the KISTI: Clients can connect to the computing resources through the web portal, run the Cactus simulation.: According to the computing resources, the simulation can migrate to some site to find better computing power.: Result of the calculation visualize at the web portal directly so that researchers of remote site can be share and analyze the result collaborative ways.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a web-based information system for rural settlement environment diagnosis which is useful to apply the village based evaluation for new rural development projects. To achieve this purpose, this study performed : 1) analyzing the business process in the field of rural settlement environment diagnosis, 2) designing the data flow diagram and the database based on settlement environment diagnostic indices(SEDI), and 3) developing the system using APM (Apache, PHP, and MySQL) of web-system development environment. The developed system was applied to the study rural villages for testing of efficient and logical working. Users of the system, such as, researchers, decision makers, and rural residents, can input directly the village data to diagnose through a file format of Excel in MS Office. Futhermore, they can analyze the visual results with graphic and graph types, simultaneously. From the results of this study, it showed that the developed system enables decision-makers not only to assist the planning process of the rural village development project, but also to improve the level of information technology in the research and planning field concerning with rural development.

  • This paper proposed a distributed web environment for developing robot services using a 4-legged robot and MSRS. The proposed development environment of the robot services enabled a high-level complicated robot application to operate in a distributed web environment by implementing robot functions as services which can be run on network nodes using Microsoft MSRS. The environment has been also implemented using a 4-legged robot, Genibo as a robot platform. In experiment, we showed the developed robot services are enable to be executed and configured dynamically and support a remote monitoring in a distributed web environment. Finally the feasibility and the effectiveness of the proposed environment has been verified by creating a robot application using the developed robot services in Visual Program Language which helps student to create a complicated robot application system easily.

  • We developed a Web courseware using multimedia based on STS(Science-Technology-Society) and constructivism on fossil of fourth grade natural science in Primary school, which is recognized to be hard to simulate and watch the phenomena in real life. At present, there are several researches manifesting the effectiveness of the theory with off-line instructional materials. However, there are few results which demonstrate its ability on the Web. The main objective of the paper is to apply the STS theory on a Web courseware and to observe its efficacy. The Web courseware based on the theory allows students to observe and experiment in the Web environment and to have diverse experiences and thoughts through communication via Web. The paper shows that Web courseware based on STS theory can improve its effectiveness in a collaborative learning environment by providing Web facilities such as E-mail, Web search, information sharing, chatting, and so on.

  • R is a free software for statistical analysis that provides simple interfaces to other application programs. Many people are trying to learn R, but it is difficult to learn R compared to commercial software such as SPSS or SAS, and it is cumbersome to provide an environment to teach R. Thus, it is essential to provide a new web-based R environment for novice users or for laboratory use. We developedWebER (a web-based R environment) using PHP on the Linux apache server. WebER can be easily used by any R user because we implemented the same functions as the basic Rgui such as editing R program, generating the text, image outputs, errors and warnings. It is also possible for multi-users to access WebER.
