A study on Construction of Domain Framework and Framework Supporting Tools (영역 프레임워크와 프레임워크 지원도구 개발에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we built an Object Oriented Framework for Web collaboration system which contains high level analysis information and design knowledge for java applets and applications that enable web clients to communicate and collaborate each other. Components of framework contain design information, source codes and executable codes for reuse. We had defined a development method for domain framework in related works and built a web collaboration system framework following it. We defined subsystem of web collaboration system for the communication and collaboration between web clients. We also BBS, Q&A system, board service system for the communication and collaboration between web clients. We also developed visual tools for framework usability : source code generator, class editor, knowledge supporting tools.

Effects of Taping on Balance and Gait in Patients With Stroke: A Meta-analysis

  • Background: Stroke is one of the causes affecting gait and balance. Taping is considered an effective method for improving balance and gait in stroke patients. Numerous studies have confirmed the functional effects of taping in stroke patients. However, there is still no consensus regarding the use of taping to improve gait and balance. Objects: The purpose of this review was to investigate the effects of taping on the balance and gait of patients with stroke through meta-analysis of studies. Methods: PubMed, Medline, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Review, RISS, DBPia, and Science on were used to collect articles on Kinesio and non-elastic taping. The key terms were "Stroke", "Hemiplegia", "Taping", "Tape", "Balance", and "Gait" with cut-off of October, 2022. Taping group was compared with control groups with sham, placebo, and no taping. The outcome measures included the Berg Balance Scale (BBS), Timed Up and Go (TUG) test, and gait speed (cm/s). Eighteen studies (524 patients) were selected for the meta-analysis. Results: Overall, taping improved balance and gait in stroke patients, and Kinesio and non-elastic taping had similar effect sizes. Taping improved the BBS and TUG, and was most effective on gait speed. Contrary to the expectation that a longer duration of taping would be more affective, taping was most effective when the total taping duration was shorter than 500 minutes. In addition, the effect size of taping was greater when it was simultaneously attached to multiple locations. Conclusion: This meta-analysis supports the use of taping to improve gait and balance in stroke patients, and provides guidelines for the location, duration, and type of tape to increase taping efficiency.

  • 개인 게시판 및 웹 하드는 현재 인터넷에서 제공해주는 서비스 중에서 가장 많이 사용되는 서비스들이다. 이러한 서비스들을 인터넷 상에서 구현하게 되면 비용과 스펨 등의 문제점을 가지게 된다. 본 논문에서는 무선 공유기를 이용한 개인 게시판 및 웹 하드를 제안한다. 개인 게시판 및 웹 하드를 무선 공유기 상에서 구현하게 되면 무선 공유기가 가지는 장점으로 인해 비용 및 스펨 문제를 해결할 수 있다. 제안된 방법은 오픈 소스를 이용하여 구현하였고, 무선 공유기에 동작시키기 위해 축소된 프로그램들을 사용하였다. 구현 결과를 통해 제안된 방법이 인터넷을 이용하는 기존 방법에 비해 비용 및 스펨 측면에서 유효함을 확인하였다.

An Interactive Approach to Categorize Questions on the Internet BBSs (인터넷 게시판 질문 분류를 위한 인터랙티브 접근방법에 관한 연구)

  • In a traditional customer support environment, mainly call centers or service centers are responsible for receiving inquiries from their customers via telephone calls. Due to the rapid growth of Internet with its widespread acceptance and accessibility, means of communication with customers in the traditional customer support center, such as telephones, letters, and direct-visiting, have been replaced by e-mails and bulletin board systems (BBSs) using the Internet constantly. BBSs are basically question and answer systems, they require some lead time to get answer from administrator. To reduce lead time, BBSs enable remote customers or users to log on and tap into a knowledge database that is generally formatted in the form of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) that provide answers and solutions to the common problems. And, many different types of the questions are mixed on the BBS. It is a burden to administrator. To build FAQs and to support BBS adminstrator, a supporting tool which is to categorize questions is helpful. In this research, we suggest an interactive question categorizing methodology which consists of steps to present question using keywords, identifying keywords' affinity, computing similarity among questions, and clustering questions. This methodology allows users to interact iteratively for clear manifestation of ambiguous questions. We also developed a prototype system, IQC (interactive question categorizer) and evaluated its performance using the comparison experiments with other systems. IQC is not a general purposed system, but it produces a good result in a given specific domain.

  • Recently the wireless internet technologies have been widely used in education environments. The purpose of this paper is to design and implement mobile class management support system. The proposed system is based on the existing CSCL theory and modified in accordance with mobile environments. The proposed system has the following characteristics. First, various types of cooperation are possible in this system. In this system, students can participate actively through tools such as BBS. Second, wired and wireless web sites are linked systematically so that users can access via either site. Two sites are complementary each other. Third, parents are encouraged to participate in class activities. Some basic information such as curriculum and daily announcement is open for parents. The proposed system has been applied to elementary school students. Extensive survey shows that the proposed system has good effect on participation, interaction, and satisfaction in class management, respectively.

  • This paper proposes Remote Educating Communication Tool (RECT) that allows students and teachers to communicate using Web-based Bulletin Board System. The distance teaching using DCOM (Distributed Component Object Model) voice module is used to enhance academic accomplishments for students in computer class. The DCOM voice module to be used in distance learning is designed, implemented and applied to teachers and students in the computer class in order to measure and analyze academic results. The RECT server provides Q&A sessions between students and teachers in the BBS using recording and playback functions. The client RECT includes recording and playback functions. The client module of RECT receives and uses DCOM module. When recording, the client transmits voice files with the recorded content to the server.

  • In the process of software development, object-oriented framework enables directly improving the productivity of the developer through the reuse of code, analysis and design informations. object-oriented framework is a set of usable and expandable classes and their connectivity. It is a meta solution that contains the code to be reused in the framework and the expert design results on a specific area. This paper constructs the framework that extracts the common services of BBS, chatting, white board and ftp applications for internet-based remote education system. These services can be mostly reused within heterogeneous applications in the form of component.
