Web Based Environmental Management System using Predictive Spatial Information Models (예측적 공간정보 모형을 이용한 Web 기반의 환경관리시스템의 개발 및 적용)

  • This study is aimed at the development of comprehensive environmental management system, which can be operated on the basis of world wide web, as a topic of G7 project. Even though there should be lots of works remaining to achieve this goal, preliminary products can be summarized as follows : 1) integrated environmental information management system, 2) web based control engine, 3) surface water environment management system, 4) subsurface water environment management system, 5) sewer and waterworks management system. The core methodology of the engine is the generalized multidimensional finite element matrices to depict the terms in the analysis of various partial differential equations. Spatial information management system (ArcView) and Visual Basic were extensively employed to construct GUI oriented web based engine. The developed systems were composed of very intense computer codes due to the necessity of combinatory management of environmental problems. The web based engine could be served as a decision tool for the integrated management of environmental projects in Korea.

  • 웹검색엔진은 색인되는 웹문서가 많아질수록 시스템 확장성(scalability)이라든지, 데이터베이스 유지 관리의 용이성, 데이터의 안전성 문제, 등의 많은 문제가 웹검색엔진에 부담으로 주어지게 된다. 반면에 인트라넷(intranet)용 검색엔진의 경우는 확장성보다는 검색엔진 자체의 개발의 용이성이 더욱 중요하다. Oracle $ConText^{TM}$는 오라클 사(社의) RDBMS인 $Oracle7^{TM}$의 정보검색 확장 옵션으로 텍스트를 Oracle7의 기본 데이터 타입으로 사용될 수 있게 한다. Oracle7+ConText는 대용량의 문서 베이스와 개발의 용이성을 동시에 보장할 수 있는 매우 훌륭한 웹검색엔진 개발 도구이다. 우리는 이를 검증하기 위하여 Oracle7+ConText에 기반한 WEBSECT(Web Search Engine With ConText)라는 웹검색엔진을 개발하였다. 본 논문은 WEBSECT의 개발과 시험 운영을 통해 데이터베이스에 기반한 웹검색엔진의 우수한 확장성과 텍스트 애플리케이션 개발의 용이성 등을 소개한다.

  • Recently, a study on data has been actively conducted because the value of the data has become more useful. Web crawler that is program of data collection recently spotlighted because it can take advantage of the various fields. Web crawler can be defined as a tool to analyze the web pages and collects the URL by traversing the web server in an automated manner. For the treatment of Big-data, distributed Web crawler is widely used which is based on the Hadoop MapReduce. But, it is difficult to use and has constraints on the performance. Apache spark that is the In-memory computing platform is an alternative to MapReduce. The search engine which is one of the main purposes of web crawler displays the information you search by keyword gathered by web crawler. If search engines implement a spark-based web crawler instead of traditional MapReduce-based web crawler, it would be a more rapid data collection.

  • In existing internet, e-mail protocols including POP3 and IMAP4, provide e-mail services fir exchanging messages with texts, hypertext and images as well. For the e-mail services in wireless mobile network, mobile e-mail service providers have to install a mobile exclusive e-mail server or have to convert e-mail to mobile exclusive e-mail with wireless application format in case of POP3 protocol. In the e-mail service of IMAP4 case known as web-mail, it is difficult to view e-mail directly from server without IMAP4 mobile client because e-mail is stored in mail server side with remote file server. In either case, it also has the problems of viewing the e-mail of hypertext and image information at mobile. This paper provides e-mail extraction engine with image and hypertext conversion facilities that can be applied in wireless mobile internet and it is optimized in mobile communication environments such as a small display, small size of memory with web-mail protocol based on IMAP4 as well as POP3 mail protocol.

  • It is difficult to effectively search and data management due to the increasing number of web is now. While Semantic Web technologies and the development of next-generation wepin this as a way to overcome them, and monopolize the domestic utilization is not overwhelming introduction to the Semantic Web technology is being used in existing search engines. This causes the development of the Semantic Web is becoming slower, and reluctant to use the Semantic Web users who use search engines as well. In this paper, compared to the currently used web and the next generation of the web, and why utilization is low compared to the search engine you are using an existing Web technology that uses the Semantic Web technology is a search engine, what research was that the inefficient because, as a RDF-based Semantic suggest how to improve the efficiency solved by designing the web.

  • Link-based search engines generate the rank using linked information of related web-documents . HITS(Hypertext Internet Topic Search), representative ranking evaluation algorithm using a special feature of web-documents based on such link, evaluates the importance degree of related pages from linked information and presents by ranking information. Problem of such HITS algorithm only is considered the link frequency within documents and depends on the set of web documents as input value. In this paper, we design the search agent based on better HITS algorithm according to advanced suitability between query and search-result in the set of given documents from link-based web search engine. It then complements locality of advanced search performance and result.

차세대 웹을 위한 SWRL 기반 역방향 추론엔진 SMART-B 의 개발

  • 현재의 웹이 HTML을 바탕으로 인간 사용자와의 인터페이스에 초점을 맞추고 있는데 비하여, 차세대 웹은 XML 및 XML 기반 각종 표준들을 바탕으로 소프트웨어 에이전트와의 인터페이스에 초점을 맞추어 나가고 있다. 차세대 웹에서 소프트웨어 에이전트의 두뇌 역할을 수행하기 위하여 추론엔진은 차세대 웹의 표준 언어인 시맨틱 웹(Semantic Web)을 충실히 이해할 수 있어야 한다. 이를 위한 기초 작업의 일환으로 OWL(Web Ontology Language)과 RuleML(Rule Markup Language)이 W3C에 제안된 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 SWRL을 규칙 표현 방법으로 사용하고, OWL을 사실 표현 방법으로 사용하는 역방향 추론엔진인 SMART-B(SeMantic web Agent Reasoning Tools - Backward chaining inference engine)을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 SWRL 기반 역방향 추론을 위한 요구 기능을 분석하고, 기존 역방향 추론 알고리즘에 차세대 시맨틱 웹을 요구 기능을 반영한 역방향 추론 알고리즘을 설계하였다. 또한, 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 각종 플랫폼의 독립성과 이식성을 확보하고 기기 간의 성능 차이를 극복할 수 있도록 사실 베이스 및 규칙 베이스의 관리도구와 역방향 추론 엔진 등을 Java 프로그래밍 언어를 이용하여 단위 컴포넌트의 형태로 개발 중에 있다.

An Experimental Study on the Internet Web Retrieval Using Ontologies (온톨로지를 이용한 인터넷웹 검색에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • Ontologies are formal theories that are suitable for implementing the semantic web. which is a new technology that attempts to achieve effective retrieval, integration, and reuse of web resources. Ontologies provide a way of sharing and reusing knowledge among people and heterogeneous applications systems. The role of ontologies is that of making explicit specified conceptualizations. In this context, domain and generic ontologies can be shared, reused, and integrated in the analysis and design stage of information and knowledge systems. This study aims to design an ontology for international organizations. and build an Internet web retrieval system based on the proposed ontology. and finally conduct an experiment to compare the system performance of the proposed system with that of internet search engines focusing relevance and searching time. This study found that average relevance of ontology-based searching and Internet search engines are 4.53 and 2.51, and average searching time of ontology-based searching and Internet search engines are 1.96 minutes and 4.74 minutes.

Behavior Engine for WebGL-based Interactive Contents (WebGL 기반의 상호작용 콘텐츠를 위한 행위 엔진)

  • WebGL is a cross-platform web standard for a low-level 3D graphics API based on OpenGL ES 2.0 and presents 3D graphics in web browsers without installing extra plug-ins. The reason that WebGL is notable is because it is included in the HTML5 standard which is getting the spotlight as a next-generation RIA(Rich Internet Application) platform for variable devices such as PCs, smart phones, table PCs, and smart TVs. In this research, we would like to introduce and develop a behavior engine for easy and rapid authoring of complicated interactions and 3D object's behavior models in WebGL-based contents.

Improving Performance of Search Engine Using Category based Evaluation (범주 기반 평가를 이용한 검색시스템의 성능 향상)

  • In the current Internet environment where there is high space complexity of information, search engines aim to provide accurate information that users want. But content-based method adopted by most of search engines cannot be used as an effective tool in the current Internet environment. As content-based method gives different weights to each web page using morphological characteristics of vocabulary, the method has its drawbacks of not being effective in distinguishing each web page. To resolve this problem and provide useful information to the users, this paper proposes an evaluation method based on categories. Category-based evaluation method is to extend query to semantic relations and measure the similarity to web pages. In applying weighting to web pages, category-based evaluation method utilizes user response to web page retrieval and categories of query and thus better distinguish web pages. The method proposed in this paper has the advantage of being able to effectively provide the information users want through search engines and the utility of category-based evaluation technique has been confirmed through various experiments.
