Research on the Sharing of Disaster Information Using Web GIS Technology (Web GIS를 이용한 재해 정보 제공에 관한 연구)

  • Lately, much researches for information management of web GIS base are gone. Specially, disaster Information Management System development of Web-Based for management and offer of disaster information such as flood or earthquake is necessarily necessary for prevention and countermeasure about disaster, disaster information acquisition of interest area. Spatial DB access for plan/analysis/management business of this system should be possible and must become display of disaster information and disaster mapmaking through internet for disaster prevention but research of web GIS base about this field is childhood yet. This research executed research for disaster information offer using HTML and Javascript and ESRI's ArcIMS that is development tools or web GIS. And this research could search disaster information of interest area through various kinds function and offer in display through user selection. Also, topography of interest area could confirm through third dimension topography model who use VRML. And this research could supply disaster information of Chunchon city using various function thorough system of Web-Based.

  • Recently, roost of the companies have, utilized internet with the purpose of business. According to this tendency, each company is exchanging various information and offering services of e-business through Web-Site. Contents on Web-Site are getting huge and the period of contents renewal is getting short. Consequently, each company is faced with many problems for the contents management because of specialization and fractionation of contents. A contents management system that creates, maintains and manages efficiently and conveniently contents on Web-Site toward solving these problems is very required. in this paper, we design and implement such a web contents management system. It also supports dynamic web page publication based on the XML components.

  • Ontologies are formal theories that are suitable for implementing the semantic web. which is a new technology that attempts to achieve effective retrieval, integration, and reuse of web resources. Ontologies provide a way of sharing and reusing knowledge among people and heterogeneous applications systems. The role of ontologies is that of making explicit specified conceptualizations. In this context, domain and generic ontologies can be shared, reused, and integrated in the analysis and design stage of information and knowledge systems. This study aims to design an ontology for international organizations. and build an Internet web retrieval system based on the proposed ontology. and finally conduct an experiment to compare the system performance of the proposed system with that of internet search engines focusing relevance and searching time. This study found that average relevance of ontology-based searching and Internet search engines are 4.53 and 2.51, and average searching time of ontology-based searching and Internet search engines are 1.96 minutes and 4.74 minutes.

  • Enterprises requires the logistics information system to reduce logistics costs and ensure clearness of distribution. However, the system is adopted only by large corporations due to diversity of work and the initial cost for construction. In this study We have attempted to develop an information system capable of efficiently. Controlling and managing logistics by investigating division of duties and existing problem. Using small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in the distribution business as a model. For real-time monitoring of logistics information. We have constructed a system using new technologies such as GPS, mobile and wireless communications and made use of web GIS as infrastructure. Developed by the logistics information systems, We will control overall logistics work and reduce logistics costs and processing time as well.

  • Nowadays, the importance of safety monitoring for facilities is increasing. Therefore, the introduction of ubiquitous technology to replace the existing manually-operated methods is required. In this study, a web-based GIS system that provides monitoring information of bridges in real-time for the application of a bridge management system through the use of ubiquitous technology is constructed. Particular attention is given to the effective interconnection of bridge monitoring information and bridge management system and, through a ubiquitous environment, how to connect this with the UFID and the GIS-based bridge management system (BMS) operated by the Ministry of Construction and Transportation. In addition, data expression methods are also suggested that state the detailed locations and attributes of structures in bridge management by using GIS.

  • 기존의 건설지원시스템은 주로 문자정보를 대상으로 구축되어 지형이나 공간정보와 같은 실세계에 대한 정보를 제공하는데 취약점이 있으나, GIS(Geographic Information System)는 이러한 문제에 대해 공간정보의 제공뿐만 아니라 설계지원시스템과 연계하여 효율적이고 체계적인 정보의 분석 및 지원 기능을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 이에 더하여 다양한 네트워크의 구축 및 이를 통한 정보서비스의 발전은 GIS의 제공방식과 내용을 변모시키고 있으며 네트워크 상에서 즉각적으로 사용자에게 다양하고 동적인 GIS 솔루션을 제공할 수 있는 Web GIS의 활용이 확산되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 건설진행상황을 즉각적으로 확인하고 실시간으로 업무보고 및 업무지시를 수행함으로써 원격공정관리를 가능하게 하고, 나아가 단지 문서적인 업무보고에만 의존하여 보고자의 의도에 따라 수동적으로 의사결정을 내리던 관행에서 벗어나 Web GIS에 기반한 건설공사 정보관리시스템을 개발함으로써 건설공사 현황을 직관적으로 판단하고 의사결정을 내릴 수 있는 시스템을 구축하였다.

A Web-based System for Real-time Monitoring of Dangerous Objects using RFID (RFID를 이용한 웹 기반의 실시간 위험물 모니터링 시스템 구축 사례)

  • Recently in the human society, the crime using small arms has increased. Also, many accidents happen because of incomplete management of chemicals and radiation. Accordingly, it is necessary to manage dangerous objects by tracing the position of dangerous objects and rapidly providing the correct information for them. This paper presents a web-based system for real-time monitoring of dangerous objects using RFID in order to overcome the limitations and problems of current dangerous objects management techniques. In this paper, we define the architecture for web-based dangerous objects monitoring system and the scheme for storing information of a dangerous object in the RFID tag. We also implement the web-based monitoring system and present the execution result of the system. The proposed real-time monitoring system is composed of the dangerous objects monitoring server which manages information of dangerous objects and controls them, the dangerous objects monitoring middleware which is mediator between dangerous objects and the server, the RFID reader which reads information of dangerous objects from RFID tags attached to the objects and the database which stores information, status and position of dangerous object. The proposed system manages diverse dangerous objects such as small arms, radiation and harmful chemicals based on the position of them using RFID, so the user can check dangerous objects when they are checked in and checked out and the user can acquire the real-time position information of them through the system. Furthermore, the user can visually monitor dangerous objects through web browser from any where and at any time because the system is web-based system and it provides graphical user interface.

  • WebDAV extends the web communication protocol HTTP/1.1 to provide a distributed authoring and versioning across the Internet. A property management, the principal ability of WebDAV, has many advantages for managing and utilizing additional information of server resources as well as supports a role of storage. Most WebDAV Application systems currently available are using WebDAV for providing simple storage space, not for the functionality of property management. However, to develop an advanced application such as a collaborative system based on WebDAV, it is very important to design and utilize user-defined WebDAV properties. In this paper, we propose DavSUDP(WebDAV Simple User-defined Property Definition Protocol) that describes XML-based configurations representing WebDAV user-defined properties and their processing steps. DavSUDP enables WebDAV servers to effectively manage user-defined properties in developing WebDAV-based applications. To show this, we extended the Apache mod_dav module to support DavSVDP and developed the OpenSpace in the iPlace collaborative system using the extended Apache web server.

  • The information of university entrance examination is important information to examinees as well as each universities. And this information can be used various fields. By using this information, examinees can choose the university which is most suitable regions through oneself's grade, and universities can decide the entrance policy and public relations of university. Furthermore, this information can be used important data to promote student's welfare. Therefore the introduction of College Matriculation System which can share between examinees and universities is keenly required. This study has developed the College Matriculation System which is Web2.0- based by using Naver Map API. By using this system, the information about candidates, and successful candidates and registrants for admission can be analysed, also the ratio of successful candidates in comparison with candidates and the change ratio of candidates during these three years can be analyzed. Besides, it can be supported the entrance public relations policy of universities by managing the public relations history, and it can be provided the information of university by grade to examinees on matriculation information based. Therefore, it was possible that manage and practical use of various data through connected with map based on web 2.0 which is opened. And it is considered possible to express more various information based on map constructing GIS system of user center that is not GIS system of existent offerer center.

  • The management of daily work report is very important due to the variety of work trade and activities. Although various project management systems have been developed to effectively deal with various task in site, they are not in practical use due to the non-coorperative attitude of sub-contractors. This is the reason the system are not developed in the focus of sub-contractors, but main contractors and the detail information about daily work report is omitted or lost in the collection process by contractors. Therefore the purpose of this study was to propose the Web-based coordination system for daily work report between contractor and sub-contractors
