  • Linear motor is able to produce line movement without rotary-to-line converter at the system required line moving. Thus Linear motor has no gear, screw, belt for line movement. Therefore it has some advantage which decrease friction loss, noise, vibration, maintenance effort and prevent decay of control performance due to backlash. This paper proposes the estimation method of unknown parameters from the BLDC Linear motor and determine the PI controller gain through this estimation. Each control movement that is current, speed, position control, and PWM wave generation is performed on Processor, which is DSP(Digital Signal Processor), having high speed performance. PI theory is adopted to each for controller for control behavior More fast convergence to command position is accomplished by applying the new velocity locus which derived from position error.

  • 본 논문에서는 2단 인버터를 사용한 고성능 연계형 인버터의 구성을 제안하였다. 2단 인버터에서 하나의 인버터는 연계전압과 동일한 전압을 생성하고, 다른 하나의 인버터는 연계 전압에 포함되어 있는 고조파 성분을 제거하기 위한 전압을 생성한다. 본 논문의 제안된 구조는 PSIM 시뮬레이션으로 통해 확인하였으며, 그 결과 기본파(60Hz) 전압만 남게 되어 양질의 정현적인 전류를 연계 할 수 있음을 보였다.

  • MPM(Microwave Power Module)은 진공 전력증폭기인 진행파관(TWT,Traveling Wave Tube)과 반도체 전력증폭기(SSA, Solid State Amplifier)를 결합한 구조로서, 미세한 RF신호를 입력 받아 고출력의 RF 신호로 증폭하는 장치이다. 본 논문은 MPM을 구동하기 위해, 필요한 수 kV이상의 높은 전압을 TWT에 공급해주는 고전압 전원공급기(HVPS, High Voltage Power Supply)에 관한 것이다. Main Topology는 Resonant Phase Shift Full Bridge Converter이며, 승압의 효과를 높이기 위해 2차 측에는 Voltage Multiplier를 사용하였다. MPM을 구동하는데 필요한 전압인Cathode(-4kV), FE_Bias(-5.25kV), Collector(-2kV)를 생성하며, FE_ON, OFF신호에 따라 고전압 스위칭 동작을 하여, RF 증폭을 제어 할 수 있다. 최종적으로 Prototype을 제작하고, 고찰된 실험결과를 제시하여 개발된 HVPS의 우수성을 검증한다.

  • This paper describes a reactive power compensator using current-source delta modulation converter, which compensates the reactive power in the ac sides of 3-phase rectifier. In the conventional current control methods for the current-type reactive power compensators, it is usual to compare the reactive reference current signal with the triangular wave and hence to generate the ON-OFF signals for the reactive power compensator. To improve the response as well as the control capability, the delta modulated current control technique is used in this paper. As a result, the input power factor is improved close to unity and both simulation and experimental results show good compensating performances.

Co-Simulation for Systematic and Statistical Correction of Multi-Digital-to-Analog-Convertor Systems

  • In this paper, a systematic and statistical calibration technique was implemented to calibrate a high-speed signal converting system containing multiple digital-to-analog converters (DACs). The systematic error (especially the imbalance between DACs) in the current combining network of the multi-DAC system was modeled and corrected by calculating the path coefficients for individual DACs with wideband reference signals. Furthermore, by applying a Kalman filter to suppress noise from quantization and clock jitter, accurate coefficients with minimum noise were identified. For correcting an arbitrary waveform generator with two DACs, a co-simulation platform was implemented to estimate the system degradation and its corrected performance. Simulation results showed that after correction with 4.8 Gbps QAM signal, the signal-to-noise-ratio improved by approximately 4.5 dB and the error-vector-magnitude improved from 4.1% to 1.12% over 0.96 GHz bandwidth.

  • 전압변환 원리를 이용한 임피던스 변환기의 폿트 종속 디지털 adaptor를 이용하여 임의의 필터규격을 만족하는 웨이브디지탈필터(WDF)를 설계하는 방법을 제안하였다. 기존의 전류변환 원리를 이용한 임피던스 변환기에 의한 WDF의 설계방법은 각종 필터 (LPF, BPF, HPF, BRF)마다 서로 다른 구조로써 실현하여야 한다. 그러나 본 연구에서 제안된 방법은 각종 WDF(LPF, HPF, BPF, BRF)를 한개의 보편적 회로를 이용하여 설계할 수 있음을 밝혔으며 이러한 보편적 회로는 VLSI실현을 위한 회로로써 적합하다.

  • This paper presents a simple modified unipolar carrier-based pulsewidth modulation (CB-PWM) strategy for the three-level neutral-point-clamped (NPC) voltage source inverter (VSI). Analytical expressions for the relationship between modulation reference signals and output voltages are derived. The proposed modulation technique for the three-level NPC VSI includes the maximum and minimum of the three-phase sinusoidal reference voltages with zero-sequence voltage injection concept. The proposed modified CB-PWM strategy incorporates a novel method that requires only of one triangular carrier wave for generate the gating pulses in three-level NPC VSI. It has the advantages of being simplifying the algorithm with no need of complex two/multi-carrier pulsewidth modulation or space vector modulation (SVM) and it's also simple to implement. The possibility of the proposed CB-PWM technique has been verified though computer simulation and experimental results.

  • 본 논문은 7kW급의 DCM PFC 회로를 제안한다. DCM 제어방식은 제어기의 복잡성이 단순하여 디지털 제어기 적용이 용이하며 인덕터 사이즈가 다른 방식에 비해 작게 설계됨으로 전력밀도를 높일 수 있지만 입력전압이 높아짐에 따라 역률은 상대적으로 낮아지는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 7kW급 DCM 방식의 Boost PFC 컨버터를 구현하고 전류조형기법을 적용하여 넓은 입력 전압 범위에도 역률이 0.99이상이 되는 것을 실험을 통해 확인한다.

  • A cold cathode flourescent lamp for the backlight in the notebook computer requires high input voltage about 1300(V) when it turns on. But once a discharge starts, the input voltage can be dropped by about one-third for continued output. The equivalent impedance also varies from open to several dozens of kilo-ohms. The piezoelectric transformer converts electrical energy into mechanical energy and then converts it back to electrical energy at a high voltage. Its high output voltage, high efficiency and small size are suitable for driving the LCD backlight in the notebook computer. The piezoelectric transformer operates near the resonance frequency and the output waveform is close to sine wave with very little noise. This paper suggests an inverter for LCD backlight of notebook computer using piezoelectric transformer that includes voltage to frequency converter for gate signal which is useful for tracking of variable resonance frequency depending on load impedance.

  • This research presented in this paper focuses on a system development for checking stator's wedge of large generator in heavy industry. The system is composed of impactor, A/D converter and digital signal processing board. Also this paper proposes a method for detection of stator's insulating state using analysis algorithm. As developed impact system is acting, impact wave is generated real time and transferred data to microprocessor. Using communication program this signal move microprocessor to hard directory of note book with 1000 data/sec. The developed system and analysis program performed very well by real stator's wedge in large generator.
