무기질 폴리머계 흡수방지재를 도포한 모르터의 발수성능 평가에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Water Repellent Property of Mortar Applied Water Repellent Agent of Inorganic Polymer Type)

  • Recently, Growing tendency for structure surface to use water repellent agent has increased steadily. But investigation of it's protection and durability property is not sufficient. Therefore, this paper shows the investigation about repellent property and micro structure's change in surface layer of mortar that is applied by water repellent agent. Water repellent property, absorption coefficient, air permeability, porosity and observation of micro construct was investigated according to water repellent agent type. The test results indicated that mortar applied water repellent agent appears tiny absorption coefficient, but air permeability is maintained. The reason is because silane solution is coating at capillary surface of a wall and minute pore structure is changeless.

  • Recently, more interests in surface treatment of structure with water repellent agent are steadily increased, But, investigation of its properties such as protection, durability, morphology of micro structure is not sufficient. Therefore, This paper is aimed for the investigation of water repellent property and change of morphology of micro pores in mortar that is treated by water repellent agent(Inorganic polymer based material). Water repellent property, water absorption coefficient, air permeability, porosity and the observation of micro structure was investigated in different water repellent agent type. The test results indicated that water repellent treated mortar showed low absorption coefficient and air permeability(breathing effect). This is why inorganic polymer is coated at the wall of capillary and micro pores, also, the volume of micro pore is reduced without the change of morphology in micro structure.

자동차 내장용 직물의 난연 및 발수가공 (Flame-Retardant and Water-Repellent Finishing of Automobile Indoor Fabrics)

  • The objective of this study is to apply water repellent and flame retardant finishes simultaneously to the fabric used for automobile. Both two step and one step methods were tried to apply the finishing agent to the fabric. In the two step method, water repellent agent was treated first, and flame retardant agent was applied next. The reverse finishing process was also attempted. In the one step method, flame retardant agent and water repellent agent treated to the fabric in one bath. The results of two step method revealed that the finishing effect was better when the water repellent agent was treated first than when flame retardant agent was treated first. In one step method, fluoro water repellent agent was superior to silicon water repellent agent.

  • 발수제의 유무와 알루미늄분말의 분말도 및 첨가량을 조절하여 비중을 0.4에서 0.7로 변화시켜 비중과 ALC의 기초물성, 내동해성 및 내구성과의 관계를 조사하였다. 압축 및 인장강도는 비중이 0.4에서 0.7로 증가함에 따라 발수제의 첨가량에 관계없이 증가하였고 발수제의 첨가량이 증가하면 내동해성은 개선되었으며 흡수율은 감소하였다. 입경이 작은 AI분말을 이용항 제조한 ALC의 박리에 의한 체적감소율은 낮게 나타났으며 일면동결지속시험 및 기중동결수중융해시험에서도 내동해성이 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

  • Water repellent finish was carried out using water repellent agent(AG-480), melamine resin(Sumitex Resin MK), and catalyst(Sumitex Accelerator ACX). PET/nylon fabrics were treated with melamine resin by pad-dry-cure method and subsequently washed and dried. Durable water repellency was controlled by the melamine resin and catalyst. Water repellency was tested by spray rating method and durability of water repellency were measured by launder-O-meter and pilling tester. The optimum conditions of durable water repellent finish for new synthetic fabric were as follows; concentration of water repellent finishing agent 20g/l; concentration of melamine & catalyst 0.5g/l; curing condition $160^{\circ}$ ${\times}$ 30sec. Water repellency after washing and rubbing is improved by melamine resin and catalyst.

  • Recent concerns about the PFOA(perfluorooctanoic acid), have been increasing, which is generally applied in the water-repellent finishing process of textile products. It has been proven through animal testing to be harmful to humans, as possible carcinogens and neuro-toxic material. Thus U. S. Environmental Agency has gone as far as requiring the material to be eliminated in its entirety by 2015. As a viable alternative to this water-repellent finishing agent, the development of C6 product is gaining its popularity. The effects of PFOA finishing on the silk fabrics were examined, and we reviewed parameters of the needed process for optimizing appearance and functionality of silk fabrics treated with eco-friendly water-repellent finishing agent. Cross-linking agent affected the most on black color of reactive ink, among the physical properties. The contact angle reading was the highest in $8g/{\ell}$ of concentration for all fabrics. All the fabric specimens, subjected to the DTP and water repellent finishing, exhibited higher stiffness, where rayon specimen showed the highest, compared to the untreated specimens. The results may provide basic information leading to the development of value-added silk fabrics with water-repellency without excessive deterioration of the delicate appearance and inherent soft touch.

UV/Ozone 조사에 의한 PET 직물의 편면 발수가공 (One-side Water-repellent Finish of PET Fabrics using UV/Ozone)

  • UV-curable water-repellent finish was carried out to impart one-side repellency to the PET fabrics using a formulation of a UV-active fluorocarbon agent and a water soluble photoinitiator. The aqueous formulation was padded on the PET fabrics and it was subsequently UV-cured. The unirradiated side of the cured fabrics was made to wetteable to water by the prolonged UV/ozone irradiation. The influence of photoinitiator concentration, agent concentration and UV energy for photodegradation on the performance of the finished fabrics were investigated. The difference in the functional property of front and back sides was examined by measuring water repellency at each side of the treated fabrics, which resulted in four rating difference between two-side. The UV-cured and photodegraded PET surfaces were characterized by ATR, ESCA and FE-SEM.

발수제 혼입에 따른 시멘트 모르타르의 표면 얼음 제거성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Deicing Performance of Cement Mortar through the Addition of Water-repellent)

  • 본 논문은 발수제 혼입에 따른 시멘트 모르타르 표면의 얼음 제거성능에 다양한 요인 중 발수제 첨가 및 종류에 대한 영향을 검토하였다. 그 결과 발수제 첨가 시멘트 모르타르의 압축강도는 무첨가 시멘트 모르타르와 비교하여 감소하였고, 올리고머계 발수제 첨가 모르타르의 압축강도는 모노머계 발수제와 비교하여 높게 나타났다. 발수제 첨가 모르타르의 접촉각은 무첨가 모르타르와 비교하여 증가하였고 모노머계 발수제보다는 올리고머 발수제가 상대적으로 증가하였다. 발수제 혼입에 따른 시멘트 모르타르의 얼음형성시간 측정 결과 발수제를 첨가하였을 때 25분까지 지연시키는 것으로 나타났다. 얼음 제거하중 측정결과 발수제를 첨가하지 않은 모르타르는 342N을 발현하였고 발수제를 첨가한 모르타르는 31N을 발현하여 발수제를 모르타르에 첨가하는 경우 얼음제거성능이 감소하였다.

  • Most of silicone used for water repellent finish is MHP (methyl hydrodiene polysiloxane), which is formed by hydrolysis and condensation polymerization of MHD (methyl hydrodiene dichlorosilane: Me H Si $Cl_2$). The cross-linking theory explains the water repellent mechanism of MHP. The silicone finish on fiber could improve in handle, softness, abrasion resistance, soil repellency, tear strength and crease resistance, as well as water repellency. According to using method silicone-water repellent finishing agents, could be devided into air dry type and curing type. MHP is the typical curing type of water repellent finishing agent, and this type requires the curing temperature above $150^{\circ}C$ at least. High curing temperature is the very drawback of this curing type. For this reason, there has been global interest in the lowering of its temperature. The objective of this study is to investigate merits of alkali treatment for silicone finishing by ANOVA and LSD (least significant difference).

발수가공 시 전자빔 조사가 화학재생 폴리에스터 직물의 발수효과와 내세탁성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of E-beam Irradiation on the Water-repellency and Washing Durability of the Water-repellent Finished Chemically-recycled PET(CR-PET) Fabrics)

  • The effects of e-beam irradiation on water-repellency and washing durability of water-repellent finished chemically-recycled PET(CR-PET) fabrics were investigated. As results, more doses of e-beam irradiation damaged the fabric surface more severely. It was thought because the high densed energy was formed, where the more e-beam was converged. The contact angle measurement showed that as the dose of e-beam irradiation increased, water wettability of the CR-PET fabric increased slightly. It was thought to be due that the surface etching by e-beam irradiation let water droplet permeate into the fabric surface better. The concentration of the water-repellent finishing agent was more important factor than curing temperature as finishing parameter. It was considered because the water-repellent finishing agent used in this study got to cure sufficiently at low temperature. Consequently, e-beam irradiation improved the washing durability of water-repellent finishing on the CR-PET fabrics.
