In order to observe the influence of pulsed Nd:YAG laser at its out-of-contact with dentin on tooth temperature, we have applied pulsed Nd:YAG laser to 2mm thick dentin sample at a point of contact and from a distance of 1mm, 2mm, 3mm and 4mm with an energy of 0.3W, 0.5W, 0.8W, 1.5W and 2.0W. They were exposed to periods of 3 seconds, 6 seconds, 9 seconds and 15 seconds respectively and measured temperature changes. The results as follows : 1. When the time ad intensity of power were constant, the temperature changes on dentin of tooth depended on the distance. The temperature increased when the laser intensity increased bu two other conditions were contact. 2. At the point of contact, the temperature has risen over $5^{\circ}C$ regrdless of intensity of the power or the time. However, there was $5^{\circ}C$ fluctuation with 0.3 W for 3 seconds treatment. 3. The temperature change was less than $5^{\circ}C$ thermal change at the distance of 1mm and 2mm respectively when lased for 3 seconds, 6 seconds, 12 seconds and 15 seconds with 0.3 W. Similar results were observed at 3 and 6 seconds treatment with 0.5 W and at 3 seconds treatment with 0.8 and 1.0W respectively. 4. It showed less than 5(C thermal change when lased for 3 seconds, 6 seconds, 9 seconds, 12 seconds and 15 seconds with 0.3W at the distance of 3mm and 4mm. The same results were seen in 3 seconds, 6 seconds and 9 seconds treatment with 0.5W and in 3 seconds with 0.8W and 1.0W respectively. As we have seen the above, the results has indicated that pulsed Nd:YAG lasing at its off contact on dentin of 2mm thickness will not cause irreversible changes if lasing intensity, lasing distance and lasing time are appropriate.

This study was performed to examine the effects of therapeutic doses of ultrasound on cell migration distance and proliferation of biopsies from articular cartilage. Articular cartilage biopsies were isolated from proximal part of the tibial of chicken, and cultured. Cartilage explants were exposed for a single 5 min to ultrasound with $0.1{\sim}1.6\;W/cm^2$ (spatial average-temporal average) at a frequency of 1 MHz. A control group was treated with the ultrasound generator switched off. The cell migration distance and cell proliferation analysis were performed on day 6 after stimulation of ultrasound. The results revealed that ultrasound influenced cell migration distance and cell proliferation in intensity-dependent manner. It was found that ultrasounds at $0.2\;W/cm^2$, $0.4\;W/cm^2$, and $0.8\;W/cm^2$ were significantly increase respectively both cell migration distance and cell proliferation (p<0.05). However, cell migration distance and cell proliferation were not affected by exposure ultrasound at $0.1\;W/cm^2$ and $1.6\;W/cm^2$ compared with control group. These results suggest that low-intensity ultrasounds at $0.2\;W/cm^2$, $0.4\;W/cm^2$, and $0.8\;W/cm^2$ may stimulate cell proliferation of the chondroblasts, and reflect a potential role in cartilage repair.
The W-band (75-110GHz) is a band that can utilize at least 10 times more bandwidth than the existing 5G band. Therefore, it is one of the bands suitable for future mobile communication that requires high speed and low latency, such as virtual and augmented reality. However, since the wavelength is short, it has a high path loss and is very sensitive to the atmospheric environment. Therefore, in order to develop a W-band communication system in the future, it is necessary to analyze the characteristics of path loss according to the channel environment. In this paper, to analyze the characteristics of the W-band path loss, the random forest technique was used, and the influence of the channel parameters according to the distance section was analyzed through the path loss data according to various channel environment parameters. As a result of the simulation, the distance has the highest influence on the path loss in the short distance, and the other channel environment factor is almost ignored. However, as the distance section became longer, the influence of distance decreased while the impact of clutter and rainfall increased.
The existence, uniqueness and iterative approximations of fixed points for some contractive mappings of integral type defined in complete metric spaces with w-distance are proved. Four examples are given to demonstrate that the results in this paper extend and improve some well-known results in the literature.
Let X be a hyperbolic region in the complex plane C such that the hyperbolic metrix ${\lambda}_X(w){\mid}dw{\mid}$ exists. Let $R(X)=sup\{{\delta}_X(w):w{\in}X\}$ where ${\delta}_X(w)$ is the euclidean distance from w to ${\partial}X$. Here ${\partial}X$ is the boundary of X. A hyperbolic region X is called a Bloch region if R(X) < ${\infty}$. In this paper, we obtain lower bounds for the hyperbolic metric on Bloch regions in terms of the distance to the boundary.

This paper presents a real time distance measuring device using a W-band linear frequency modulated continuous wave(FMCW) radar and TMS320C6701 digital signal processor(DSP). We used FFT operation for measuring distance with the beat signals and the results of FFT could be converted to distance with ease. We presented how to implement a real time miniaturized hardware system including network protocols using a single DSP core. Also how to control the modulation signal of FMCW system to compensate the VCO nonlinearity using the Time Gating control of DSP is presented. We have shown that the proposed system has good performances for measuring distance in real time via outdoor environment experiments.
In this paper, 5.8GHz 25W microwave wireless power transmission system was developed. The transmission system is composed of a signal generator, a 1W drive amplifier, a 25W power amplifier, and a circularly polarized transmission antenna. The receiving system was fabricated with an integrated receiver that combines a circularly polarized receiving antenna, a pass band filter, and an RF-DC converter. And a multi-integrated receiver had twelve parts, including an integrated receiver. Under the conditions, voltage and current were measured for the system at 5cm intervals from a minimum distance of 5cm to a maximum distance of 80cm. The power was calculated for the system. The results of the system are shown in tables and graphs. The power decreases with distance, but the power does not drop sharply due to a multi-integrated receiver.
This study was carried out to measure the 3D-distance of a cow model teat for an application possibility on Robotic Milking System(RMS). A teat recognition algorithm was made to find 3D-distance of the model by using Gonzalrez's theory. Some of the results are as follows. 1 . In the distance measurement experiment on the test board, as the measured length, and the length between the center of image surface and the measured image point became longer, their error values increased. 2. The model teat was installed and measured the error value at the random position. The error value of X and Y coordinates was less than 5㎜, and that of Z coordinates was less than 20㎜. The error value increased as the distance of camera's increased. 3. The equation for distance information acquirement was satisfied with obtaining accurate distance that was necessary for a milking robot to trace teats, A teat recognition algorithm was recognized well four model cow teats. It's processing time was about 1 second. It appeared that a teat recognition algorithm could be used to determine the 3D-distance of the cow teat to develop a RMS.
Purpose: Although security lights are used to secure pedestrian visibility and safety at nighttime, they can generate light trespass in the neighboring residential space. To prevent this, standards for acceptance limits on vertical illuminance and light pollution by the windows of residential buildings are presented. Method: This study thus representatively selected three types of lamps and, through an evaluation and analysis of the physical and subjective discomfort glare per lamp, proposed a discomfort glare index for each lamp. The evaluation and analysis according to the lamps were conducted through experiments. The variables were the security lights' lamps (NH 100W, MH 70W, LED 50W), installation angles ($0^{\circ}$, $20^{\circ}$), and installation distances (3m, 5m, 7m, 9m). Result: According to the results of the discomfort glare evaluation depending on the angles and distances of the security lights, the following minimum standards are proposed: for NH 100W, a discomfort glare index of 30 and an installation distance of 4m; for MH 70W, a discomfort glare index of 32 and an installation distance of 4m; and, for LED 50W, a discomfort glare index of 31 and an installation distance of 6m, respectively. In addition, this paper recommends the use of MH 70W, when the road width is 4m-6m, and LED 50W, when the road width is over 6m, respectively.

This study was carried out to investigate the proper wattage and installation distance for the efficient use of nano-carbon fiber infrared heating lamp (NCFIHL), a heating device advantageous for heating energy saving, when the production of watermelon plug seedlings in the plug seedling nursery in winter season. Six small beds were divided into plastic film, and 700 W and 900 W nano-carbon fiber infrared heating lamps were installed at 100 cm above the bed. 1 lamp at central (control), 60 cm interval (2 lamps), and 40 cm interval (3 lamps) heating lamps were installed in each bed inside the greenhouse. All treatments, except the control, were set to keep the night air temperature at 20℃ after lighting the NCFIHL. The leaf temperature showed a tendency to increase fast as the install distance was narrow. The leaf length and leaf width tended to increase as the installation distance of the 700 W heating lamp was narrow. The compactness was high in 700 W heating lamp with 40 cm of installation distance. Therefore, in consideration of maintaining the set temperature at night, installing 700 W electric lamps at 40 cm was an efficient power and installation distance for watermelon grafted seedlings considering economic feasibility.
