Objectives : The purpose of this study is understanding the behavior of the laborer relating oral health. Oral health is one of the most important requirement in the healthy life of the laborer. Also it is important to supply the welfare of the people. Methods : For this purpose survey to 400 urban laborer was carried out with questionnaire from October to November, 2009. Among them, 346 available responses were analysed with SPSS 12.0 statistic package. Results : The major findings of the study were as follows:First, Monthly income of 76.6 % of the laborer investigated was below 2500,000 won. Second, 56.1 % of the laborer investigated has the experience to visit dental clinic in the last two years. Third, 35.6 % of the laborer investigated has no experience to visit dental clinic in the last three years. Fourth, The average number of absent days due to oral disease were 0.11 day in a year. Fifth, The average number of the days fail to finish the work of the day due to oral disease were 0.32 day in a year. Sixth, 56.5% of the laborer investigated had no experience of oral health education, because of having no chance. Seventh, Factory bulletin and internet service is preferred as the source of the information on the oral health education. Eighth, In order to improve the status of oral health of laborer, periodical oral health examination and oral health education is needed. Conclusions : In order to improve the oral health of laborer, better public health policy is required, and it is made from understanding the behavior of the laborer relating oral health.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of dining-out customers by their behaviors based on geographical regions and visiting days in relation to restaurant attraction at ski resorts in Korea. The data were collected from six ski resorts. Three of the ski resorts were located in Kyunggi Province close to a metropolitan area, namely Seoul. The other three resorts were located in Kangwon Province, which is considered to be distant from the Seoul metropolitan area. A total of 599 usable questionnaires were utilized in the data analysis. Descriptive statistics and a cross tabulation analysis with chi square were used to examine the demographic characteristics of the respondents and the significant differences between geographical regions as well as between weekdays and weekends. The responding customers consisted of 57.3% (n=343) males and 42.7% (n=256) females. With respect to age, 15.5% were less than 20 yr., 44.6% were $20{\sim}30$ yr., and 28.0% were $30{\sim}40$ yr. The most recognizable occupations were student (32.9%) followed by office worker (33.2%). Twenty-seven percent of the respondents had less than one year of skiing experience and the majority (32.9%) had more than $1{\sim}3$ yr of experience. The major findings obtained from this study include statistically significant differences in the customers' demographical characteristics of age, occupation, skiing experience, and residential area according to the geographical regions of Kyunggi Province and Kangwon Province (p<0.05). All six of the customers' behavioral attributes, including transportation, reason to visit, staying days, purpose of visit, spending expenses, and usage of discount programs, showed significant differences between geographical groups (p<0.05). Finally, restaurant attraction was associated with the purpose of visiting and spending expenses by customers at the ski resorts (p<0.001).

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of dental experience on the attitude of children toward the dentist and the dental treatment. The subjects of the study were 1,090 children from second grade to forth grade of three elementary schools of the Iksan city. The children were investigated by the questionnaire which consisted of seven items about the attitude toward the dentist, the attitude toward the dental treatment, the dental reatment experience, the number of times of dental treatment, the last time of the dental visit, pain of dental treatment, and fear of dental treatment. There were significant differences among the grades in the attitude toward the dental treatment and in the attitude toward the dentist (P<0.01). Second grade children had the most negative attitudes. But, there were no differences between boys and girls. Girls felt more pain and fear than boys (P<0.01). There were significant relationships between the pain and the attitude toward the dentist, between the pain and the attitude toward the dental treatment, between the fear and the attitude toward the dentist, and between the fear and the attitude toward the dental treatment (P<0.01, all). The number of dental visit had significant relationship with the attitude toward the dental treatment (P<0.05). There were significant relationships between the pain and the fear and between the attitude toward the dentist and the attitude toward the dental treatment.
This research, targeting the visitors to Hahoe Village at Andong, which is a cultural tourist attraction with its traditional cultural heritage well preserved, aimed at offering applicable implications to the staff in charge of management of Hahoe Village at Andong by clarifying which cultural tour experience factor has an effect on touring satisfaction and visitors' behavioral intention as a follow-up attitude from touring satisfaction, i.e. effect relationship between the intention of re-visit and intention of recommendation in a structural viewpoint. To sum up this research result, first, there are two factors of cultural tour experience: education and escape. These were found to have a positive effect on touring satisfaction. Second, four factors of cultural touring experience was found to have a positive effect on visitors' behavioral intention. Third, touring satisfaction was found to have a positive effect on visitors' behavioral intention
The present study attempted to explore the impact of art gallery visitors' motivation and perceived quality of experience on satisfaction. For this purpose surveys were conducted at art galleries. The factor analyses identified four dimensions (knowledge, leisure, yearn for culture and art, and relationship) of motivations and another four dimensions (esthetic/entertainment, education, escapist, and sense of belonging) of perceived quality of experience. Subsequently, regression analyses revealed the influence of motivations and perceived quality of experience on satisfaction. Based on the findings, managerial implications and suggestions for further studies were discussed.
This research tried to understand the expectation and experience level of the medical service among the foreign patients who visit South Korea for a medical tourism, and to find out the effect of expectation and experience level on the satisfaction of medical service. Data collection was done through conducting a survey of inpatients in 4 hospitals located in Seoul, Korea. Total 110 cases were used for analysis. According to the study, expectation level had a significant difference between the group exposed to a word-of-mouth and the group not exposed to the word-of-mouth. The difference analysis of expectation and experience level of the foreign patients showed that all components of the service quality were satisfied. The component of perceived reliability was the only factor influencing the foreign patients' overall satisfaction on the medical service. The findings of this study will be provided a basic data for the marketing strategy which can apply to the satisfaction strategy differentiated from other countries.
Purpose - Acknowledging the limitations of the widely-used concept of destination image, this study proposes the concept of tourism image using trade in tourism service on the basis of Leiper's (1990) tourism system. This new concept incorporates an image formed from South Koreans focusing on the tourist holistic experience relevant to the United States based on the tourist rather than the tourism destination. Design/methodology - A convergent parallel mixed-methods study design constituted the concept, which emerges from the analysis of narratives and quantitative examinations of South Koreans focusing on tourism experience to the United States. Findings - The study considers the following aspects in addition to destination image: first, images formed outside the destination, e.g., in the tourist generating region and the transit region; second, non-hedonic images, which are a part of the tourist experience despite not directly involving a visit to the tourist attractions; and third, non-service-driven elements, such as co-created destination images formed from interaction with residents and fellow tourists. Originality/value - The tourism image concept allows consideration of aspects that have been overlooked in destination image studies yet may affect the image of the tourism experience.

This study intends analyzes the experience urbanites need regarding rural amenities when visiting rural areas for leisure. For this purpose, 18 rural amenities that can be experienced at 65 traditional rural villages and are designated by the rural development administration(RDA) were selected. Based on rural amenity selection, a questionnaire survey was conducted in 10 cities with 1,052 urban residents. The cities were divided into 5 metropolitan cities(Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Kwangju and Daejeon) and 5 small cities in each province(Chuncheon, Suwon, Jeonju, Chungju and Pohang). The study results suggest that of the 18 rural amenities, urbanites want greater experience with landscape resources near water and forests, health resources related to food and traditional resources such as traditional architecture and culture. Those amenities not chosen were animals, famous people and agricultural landscapes. In addition, women indicated more experience needs than men. Specifically, women want to experience the rural amenities dealing with tradition and health. In addition, people under 40 want to experience active program related festivals(events) and arts and crafts, whereas the group over 40 prefers a non-active program, such as observing the rural landscape and planting. College graduates want to experience the landscape while college students prefer arts and crafts and festivals(events). Those with below average salaries want to experience the most rural amenities. There were no differences in experience needs between those surveyed in metropolitan cities and those in small cities. Finally, the people who visited rural areas within the last year want to experience water, plants, agricultural landscape, health and rural life resources more than other groups, and there is correlation between plans to visit rural villages and experience needs. The results of this study provide insightful information for rural planning strategies such as selection of the type of marketing segments.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of SNS marketing characteristics on hair shop image formation and visit intention in the hair beauty industry. SNS marketing is a strategy to carry out marketing activities through interaction with customers, information provision, information trust, and playfulness using modern social media platforms. It was intended to analyze how these characteristics of SNS marketing affect the formation of hair shop images and visit intention to customers in the hair beauty industry. For the study, a total of 307 customers with experience using hair-related SNS were surveyed. The questionnaire included items related to SNS marketing characteristics, hair shop images, and visit intention, and the collected data was statistically analyzed using SPSS 26.0. The results of the research problem were derived by applying analysis methods such as frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, simple regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, and mediated regression analysis. As a result of the study, it was found that information provision, information reliability, playfulness, and interaction, which are characteristics of SNS marketing, have a positive effect on the formation of hair shop images. In addition, it was confirmed that the hair shop image had a positive effect on the intention to visit. In addition, it was found that the hair shop image plays a mediating role between the SNS marketing characteristics and the intention to visit. This provides important insights that can improve image formation and customer visit intention in the hair beauty industry through SNS marketing.
Limited studies examined Medical Aid recipients' perception for amount of medical use. This study aimed to identify self-perception(optimal, under and overutilization) for amount, and real amount of medical use, and to determine factors associated with the perception. Subjects were 2,489 Medical Aid recipients among top 2% overusers in 2005. 200 case managers(CM) managing them conducted survey. CM interviewed them using 2005 medical claiming data from the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service and structured questionnaire. Despite of overusers, perception of overutilization was only 26.9% and 23.6% in Class I and Class II, and that of underutilization was 21.4% and 18.7% respectively. In Class I, monthly total outpatient cost per capita of overutilization perception in 2006 was 206 thousand won higher than 150 thousand won of optimal utilization. Amounts of outpatient visit-days and prescribed cases of overutilization perception were higher than those of optimal and underutilization(p <0.0001). In Class II, overutilization perception had more prescribed cases(p 0.004). After adjustment of confounding factors including age and sex, the associated factors(odds ratio) with overutilization perception were hypertension(1.25), arthritis(1.32), depression(1.66), visit of multi medical institutions(3.09), and those of the underutilization were female(1.34), disabled(1.27), no family support(1.49), living in medium and small city(1.48), experience of unabled-visit to medical institution(2.54), frequent visit-recommendation from physician (1.36). In conclusion, education and consult are needed for subjects to improve the reasonable decision of medical use, and the self-care ability to manage diseases and symptoms. We suggest reinforcing the alternative service in community instead of costly medical institution.
