  • 본 논문은 무안경 3D 디스플레이 제품의 품질을 향상시키기 위한 여러 가지 효과적인 방법을 구축하는데 목적을 두었다. 무안경 제품은 기존의 안경 방식에 비하여 3D의 depth 화질 품질이 떨어졌고, 특정 거리, 위치에서만 볼 수 있는 단점이 있어, 이를 보완하고자 Head Tracking 기술 및 영상 배치알고리즘 등 여러 가지 기술을 적용하여 기존 system의 단점을 보완하였다. 본 논문은 3D 무안경 구현 방식 중 Parallax Barrier의 3D 품질 향상을 위한 Head Tracking을 통한 사용자의 위치 파악, 영상의 재배치 기술 및 Crosstalk 개선 방법에 대해 보고합니다.

PPL 광고(廣告)모델이 의류(衣類)브랜드 태도(態度)에 미치는 영향(影響)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Effect of PPL Models on Fashion Brand Attitude)

  • By considering the influences of PPL(Product Placement) commercial model on consumers' attitude to clothing brand as a commercial effect of PPL, this study intends to identify how much differently they take an attitude to clothing brands before and after exposed to PPL commercials, and also identify how much differently they take their attitude to the brands depending upon PPL commercial models. In the step of experimental design, a previous survey was performed to identify how consumers take their attitude to commercial models and brands before exposed to PPL commercials. And every subject was asked to watch video films with brand logos exposed. The results of experiment can be summarized as follows: After all subjects were exposed to PPL commercials, in general, their attitude to commercial models had more or less effects on the change of their attitude. Meanwhile, the interaction between their attitude to model and clothing brands respectively had somewhat significant influences only on brand recognition. This study verified that PPL commercial models had significant influences on consumers' attitude to brands. These results imply that a PPL commercial strategy in fashion industry should be made focusing on the respective roles of PPL commercial models.

Outpatient Treatment for Pneumothorax Using a Portable Small-Bore Chest Tube: A Clinical Report

  • Background: For treatment of pneumothorax in Korea, many institutions hospitalize the patient after chest tube insertion. In this study, a portable small-bore chest tube (Thoracic Egg; Sumitomo Bakelite Co. Ltd., Tokyo, Japan) was used for pneumothorax management in an outpatient clinic. Methods: Between August 2014 and March 2015, 56 pneumothorax patients were treated using the Thoracic Egg. Results: After Thoracic Egg insertion, 44 patients (78.6%) were discharged from the emergency room for follow-up in the outpatient clinic, and 12 patients (21.4%) were hospitalized. The mean duration of Thoracic Egg chest tube placement was 4.8 days, and the success rate was 73%; 20% of patients showed incomplete expansion and underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery. For primary spontaneous pneumothorax patients, the success rate of the Thoracic Egg was 76.6% and for iatrogenic pneumothorax, it was 100%. There were 2 complications using the Thoracic Egg. Conclusion: Outpatient treatment of pneumothorax using the Thoracic Egg could be a good treatment option for primary spontaneous and iatrogenic pneumothorax.

조리 실습 교육에 대한 고등학생.대학생.교사의 인식 수준 비교 연구 (A Study on the Recognition Level of High School and University Students and Teachers about Culinary Practice Education)

  • This study was conducted with the purpose of surveying the high school and university students and culinary teachers in charge of guidance in cooking related departments to see the recognition levels of culinary practice education and to suggest improvement plans. The subjects of this research were 616 culinary high school students, 419 culinary university students, and 103 culinary teachers. The collected data was compared and analyzed by frequency and percentage. The collected data was analyzed(i. e., $X^2$ test and t-test) using SPSS 14.0(SPSS Inc, Chicago, USA). Learning demands were shown to be high and much more practice was demanded, so it is required to raise the importance of culinary arts as a subject. Manpower placement, such as practice assistant teachers and practice teachers, is necessary and more training support for teachers' professional ability expansion is required. Moreover, it is required that practices after theory study, video education, and practice demonstrations should be performed and multimedia developed. Detailed practice demonstrations should be enabled and foreign subject education should be performed. The general evaluation in which feedback is appropriately made, along with the evaluation of practice courses and results needs to be performed. Positive school life should be prepared by performing proper course education simultaneously.

$PRR_gp$ 기반 결함허용 연속 매체 저장시스템의 설계와 성능평가 (Design And Performance Evaluation of Fault-Tolerant Continuous Media Storage System Based on $PRR_gp$)

  • Multimedia Systems such as VOD(Video On Demand) and MOD (Multimedia On Demand) need to support continuous media operations which are randomly called by concurrent users and require that stored media be accessed in real-tim. To satisfy such a requirements, disk arrays consisting of multiple disks are generally used as storage systems. Under the real-time environments to provide users with accessing continuous media in the parallel and concurrent manner, storage systems should be able to deal with user requests independently. In this paper, we present a new fault-tolerant continuous media storage system called PADA(PRR\ulcorner bAsed Disk Array), which is based on a PRR\ulcorner (Prime Round Robin with Grouped Parties) disk placement scheme with enhanced reliability nd load-balancing. We have compared and evaluated the storage space overhead for fault-tolerance, the reliability of diks array systems, the degree of disk load0-balancing, the demanded buffer space, the maximum number of users being capable of supporting and the fault recovery overhead for PADA, RAID 5 and Declustered storage systems. According to the results, PADA is the best among them in that PADA satisfies load-balancing more effectively and servces more user in case of arbitrary-rate retrievals.

사용자 수 증대와 초기 대기시간 감소를 위한 비디오 저장 서버의 설계 (Design of a Vido Storage Server that Maximizes Concurrent Streams and Minimizes Initial Latency)

  • 동시에 지원할 수 있는 사용자 수의 증대와 초기 대기시간의 감소는 비디오 저장 서버가 상용 서비스에 사용되기 위해서 갖추어야 할 필수적인 요소이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 스트라이핑 방법에 비하여 각 디스크에서 읽어오는 데이터의 크기가 2배가 될 수 있는 데이터 배치 방법을 제안한다. 이러한 방법은 디스크의 회전 대기시간이 차지하는 비율이 작아지도록 하므로 디스크를 효율적으로 활용하게 되어 사용자 수가 크게 증대되는 성능의 향상을 보인다. 또한 초기 대기시간이 일정 시간을 넘지 않도록 하는 디스크 스케쥴링 방법을 제안하였고, 허용 가능한 초기 대기시간 개념을 도입하여 저장 서버의 순차적인 설계 방법을 제안한다. 구현 사례와 기존의 방법과의 비교를 통하여 제안한 방법의 우수한 성능 향상이 있음을 보인다.

A Low-Cost Approach for Path Programming of Terrestrial Drones on a Construction Site

  • Robots for construction sites, although not deeply widespread, are finding applications in the duties of project monitoring, material movement, documentation, security, and simple repetitive construction-related tasks. A significant shortcoming in the use of robots is the complexity involved in programming and re-programming an automation routine. Robotic programming is not an expected skill set of the traditional construction industry professional. Therefore, this research seeks to deliver a low-cost approach toward re-programming that does not involve a programmer's skill set. The researchers in this study examined an approach toward programming a terrestrial-based drone so that it follows a taped path. By doing so, if an alternative path is required, programmers would not be needed to re-program any part of the automated routine. Changing the path of the drone simply requires removing the tape and placing a different path - ideally simplifying the process and quickly allowing practitioners to implement a new automated routine. Python programming scripts were used with a DJI Robomaster EP Core drone, and a terrain navigation assessment was conducted. The study examined the pass/fail rates for a series of trial run over different terrains. The analysis of this data along with video recording for each trial run allowed the researchers to conclude that the accuracy of the tape follow technique was predictable on each of the terrain surfaces. The accuracy and predictability inform a non-coding construction practitioner of the optimal placement of the taped path. This paper further presents limitations and suggestions for some possible extended research options for this study.

외상 후 국소적으로 응고된 혈흉의 비디오흉강경수술 (Video-assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery in Posttraumatic Localized Clotted Hemothorax)

  • 배경: 외상성 혈흉에서 부적절한 배액은 농흉, 섬유흉 및 늑막석회화 등 합병증으로 입원 기간을 연장시킨다. 외상성 혈흉 80%에서는 단순 흉강삽관술로 치료가 되지만, 나머지 경우는 수술적 치료가 필요하다. 대상 및 방법: 2002년 3월부터 2003년 2월까지 흉강삽관술을 시행했던 123예 중 조기에 비디오 흉강경으로 저류된 응고된 혈흉을 제거하였던 10명(group I)과 국소적 혈흉 혹은 농흉으로 수술을 받았던 5명(group II)을 대상으로 하였다. 두 군에서 남자가 여자보다 많았으며, 평균 나이는 비슷하였다. 수상 원인은 교통사고가 가장 많았으며, 가장 흔히 동반된 병변은 복부였다. 결과: Group I에서 평균 수상일로부터 수술일까지 평균 기간, 수술 시간, 평균 흉관 유지 기간 및 재원기간은 group II보다 더 짧았다(p<0.05). Group I에서는 추적 관찰 기간(17.8$\pm$3.8개월) 중 재발되거나 수술과 관련된 합병증은 없었으나, group II(21.5$\pm$5.3 months)에서는 2예가 있었다. 결론: 외상성 혈흉에 남아 있는 국소적으로 응고된 혈흉을 비디오 흉강경으로 7일 이내에 제거한다면 안전하고 효과적이다.

보행 입각기(stance phase)시 거골하 관절의 운동 특성에 관한 연구 - CTA 및 시공간적 변수를 중심으로 - (A study of the movement characteristics of subtalar joint in stance phase)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyse the subtalar joint movement characteristics in human stance phase. The data of subtalar joint movement patterns are collected by CTA(calcaneus to tibia angle) measurements. CTA is defined as a angle formed between the bisect of the posterior shank and bisect of the posterior heel, as determined by placement of the retroreflective markers. The angle measured in degrees. The participants are 74 healthy individuals (37 men and 37 women) who have no orthopedic and neurological impairment, aged from 19 to 29 years(mean 22.95). Prior to participation, each subjecct informed the procedures of experiment from researcher and assistant researcher. The equipments of this study are walking grid, marking tapes, goniometer, video camera, monitor and ink for foot print are used in the study. In order to determine the statistical significance of result, the paired t-test and Pearson correlation were applied at the 0.05 level of significance. The results were as follows : 1. The reliability of measured CTA value are showed a high correlation, ranged from .86 - .94. 2. The mean value of step width are 7.67cm in men and 6cm in women. So, significant difference between men and women in 0.05 level of significance. 3. There was significant difference between man and women's TOA(toe out angle)(p<0.05). 4. The CTA of female's is more higher than male's one, however not statistical difference between man and women(p>0.05). 5. The CTA is reduced according to increasing TOA(p<0.05).

연산기와 메모리 재사용을 이용한 효율적인 DVB-S2 규격의 LDPC 복호기 구조 (Architecture of an LDPC Decoder for DVB-S2 using reuse Technique of processing units and Memory Relocation)

  • Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) code는 최근 그 우수한 성능으로 인하여 4세대 무선 이동 통신용 채널 코딩으로 주목받고 있다. 또한 유럽 디지털 위성 방송 규격인 DVB-S2는 LDPC 코드를 채널 코딩방식으로 채택하였다. 본 논문에서는 인코더와 디코더 양쪽 모두 효율적으로 하드웨어 구현이 가능한 hybrid H-matrix 구조를 이용한 DVB-S2 LDPC 복호기 구조를 제안한다. Hybrid H-matrix는 semi-random 방식과 partly parallel 방식을 결합하여 부호기와 복호기를 동시에 효율적으로 구현할 수 있다. 제안된 복호기 구조에서는 다양한 코드율에 사용되는 Variable Node processor Unit (VNU)을 재사용하기 위한 새로운 VNU와 최적화된 블록 메모리 배치 방법을 이용하였다. 제안된 구조를 이용하여 코드율 1/2의 DVB-S2 LDPC 복호기를 설계하였고 그 결과를 기존의 복호기와 비교하였다.
