교사에 대한 유아의 언어 커뮤니케이션의 내용분석 및 발달적 변화 (The Development and Contents of Young Children's Verbal Communication with Teachers)

  • This study explored the contents of young children's verbal communications with their teachers in play situations. Participants were 2- to 6-year-old children. Results of observations showed 10 different verbal categories : making demands, asking questions, boasting, complementing the teacher, gaining recognition from the teacher, telling tales, explaining, making suggestions, asking permission, and insisting on one's own way. The five categories most frequently observed in older children were demanding, asking questions, boasting, explaining, and insisting on one's own way. Teachers were advised to prepare to respond more effectively to the variety of young children's verbal communication with their teachers.

Effects of Instructor's Communication Quality on Learning Flow and Satisfaction of Students: Targeting the Students(Parents) Participating in the Early Childhood Education Programs

  • Purpose: This study surveyed the effects of instructors' verbal and nonverbal communication quality on students' learning flow and satisfaction. We divided the two types of communication into sub-factors - verbal communication into language, and nonverbal communication into kinesics, proxemics, paralanguage and physical appearance - to examine the causal relationship between learning flow and learning satisfaction. Methods: This study was conducted on the students (parents) of a paid early childhood education program run by "I" company located in Seoul, from November 12, 2014 to November 18, 2014. A total of 317 (90.5 %, effective) questionnaires were collected and analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. Results: First, the verbal communication of the lecturers was found to have significantly positive (+) effects on learning satisfaction. Second, among the nonverbal communications, proxemics and physical appearance were found to have positive (+) effects on learning flow. Third, among the nonverbal communications, proxemics was found to have positive (+) effects on learning satisfaction. Fourth, the learning flow of students was found to have positive (+) effects on learning satisfaction. Conclusion: This study's findings can contribute to realizing desirable communication between instructors and students.

A Study on the Effect of Nonverbal Communication of Airline's Flight Crew on Customer Attitudes

  • Purpose - This study focuses on the quality of nonverbal communication by the flight attendants at the airline, and the factors that contribute to improve customer behavior, thereby providing positive implications for corporate management. Research, design, data, and methodology - For the empirical analysis of this study, reliability analysis and frequency analysis were conducted. T-test and ANOVA analyses were performed. In addition, the effects of nonverbal communication have on customer behavior have regressed analysis. The collected data was empirical suing the SPSS Win 18.0. Results - Among the non-verbal communication qualities were found to significantly influence customer attitudes, and demographic differences in airline flight attendants were also shown to influence their perceptions. Empirical analysis revealed significant differences in demographic characteristics between gender, age and airlines used. Conclusions - All of the non-verbal communication's attributes were found to significantly impact customer attitude. It is used to train the importance of nonverbal communication quality for the role of cabin crew members and to enhance the loyalty of the customers to Airline. This study identifies the relationship between the impact of non-verbal communication quality on customer attitudes and implies the importance of non-verbal communication quality for airline flight attendants. Also, this study suggests that there is a close mechanism between the nonverbal communication and the customer attitudes to airlines.

극놀이에서 교사의 단계별 지지가 유아의 언어적 의사소통에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Teacher's Scaffolding on Children's Verbal Communication in Dramatic Play)

  • This study analyzed the effects of teacher's scaffolding on children's verbal communication in dramatic play. Twenty-four five-year-old kindergarten children participated. The collected data were analyzed with the repeated measures analysis of variance and two-sample t-tests. The results showed that: the frequency of verbal communication strategies and children's episode length increased in the experimental group where the teacher intervened with the scaffolding. Children in the experimental group showed more positive response in the categories of minimal acceptances and enlarged acceptances. No gender differences were found.

The Effect of Non-verbal Communication using Cinemagraph in Mobile Electronic Commerce of Agrifood on Visual Attention and Purchase Intention

  • This paper is a study on what kind of effect non-verbal communication in mobil electronic commerce has on purchase intention and visual attention. For this purpose, the screen of mobile shopping mall produced arbitrarily was exposed to the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group was exposed to the screen of mobile shopping mall that expressed non-verbal communication making use of cinemagraph images and the control group was exposed to the screen of mobile shopping mall based on still images. For the study, survey research and experimental research were conducted simultaneously. Data of survey research were analyzed by MANOVA and t-test, and by using eye-tracker experimental research recorded the duration of time that the subjects stared images. The results of experiment show that in non-verbal communication the experimental group that saw cinemagraph images recorded shorter average staring time than the control group that saw ordinary images, and the cinemagraph had statistically significant effect on visual attention as well. And it was analyzed that non-verbal communication had significant effect on the purchase intention of the experimental group, but had no effect on the purchase intention of the control group. The results can be interpreted that the people who saw cinemagraphs in mobile shopping environment had spent shorter time in seeing products than the people who saw ordinary images, but still the former came to have purchase intention on the products. The results of the present study can be useful for marketers who try to sell agrifood in mobile environment.

청각장애인 간의 비언어적 커뮤니케이션을 위한 인터랙티브 스마트의류 개발연구 (A Study on the Development of Interactive Smart Clothing for Non-Verbal Communication between People with Hearing Impairment)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop interactive smart clothing based on visual and tactile sensitivities to promote non-verbal communication between people with hearing impairments. The study analyzed various cases of interactive smart clothing, different non-verbal communication tools, as well as results of user demand survey to extract essential factors. Then these factors were categorized into technology or design concept. The technological aspect of the development considered the following factors: the usability, detachability, purposiveness, and economic feasibility. The design aspect considered the following factors: the usability, detachability, formativeness and wearability. A prototype was designed considering the user's requirements. The developed prototype had sensors, Bluetooth technology, and gave access to wireless communication in order to enable non-verbal communication between people with hearing impairments.

온라인 플레밍(flaming) 발생 요인과 해소 방안에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Triggering and Medicating Factor of Online Flaming)

  • 본 논문은 반사회적 활동으로 평가받고 있는 온라인 플레밍 현상을 설명하고 이를 해소할 수 있는 요인은 무엇인지를 살펴보고 있다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 상황에 걸쳐 일관된 행위 패턴을 보여주는 개성 특질(personality trait) 그리고 사회인구학적 요인(성별, 연령)을 통해 플레밍 행위를 설명하고자 하였다. 나아가 높은 플레밍을 보여주는 유의미한 설명변인 집단들에게 메시지 신뢰도가 미치는 영향 정도를 연구하고 있다. 이를 위해 인터넷 조사기관의 온라인 설문을 통한 자료수집이 이뤄졌다. 분석 결과에 따르면, 성별과 연령 그리고 언어적 공격(verbal aggression) 특질은 플레밍과 유의미한 관계가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 특히 남성, 10대, 그리고 공격 특질이 높은 사람들은 플레밍 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 플레밍 해소방안으로서 분석된 메시지의 신뢰도는 성별, 연령과는 무관한 것으로 나타난 반면, 개성 특질과는 어느 정도 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 온라인에서 이뤄지는 커뮤니케이션의 질(quality)은 플레밍을 해소할 수 있는 하나의 방안일 수 있음을 시사하고 있다.

수술실 간호사의 언어폭력 경험과 정신건강과의 관련성 (Relationship Between Verbal Abuse and Mental Health in Some Operating Nurses)

  • 이 연구는 수술실 간호사들의 언어폭력 경험을 알아보기 위하여 수행되었다. 종합병원 수술실 간호사 176명을 대상으로 2011년 10월 17일부터 31일까지 설문지를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 다중회귀분석에서 언어폭력경험과 간호사 요인 언어폭력 유형이 정신건강에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 결과적으로 언어폭력은 수술실 간호사의 정신건강에 영향을 미친다. 언어폭력을 예방할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 개발하여, 수술실 간호사의 정신건강을 증진시키고 그것을 유지시키는 것이 필요하다.

  • Purpose: This study is a descriptive research study to identify the relationship between the experience of verbal abuse, compassion fatigue, and work engagement among nurses in the emergency unit. Methods: Study subjects were 107 nurses working in a university hospital in Gyeonggi-Do. The instruments used were a verbal abuse checklist, a subscale of the Professional Quality of Life Scale used to measure compassion fatigue, and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale. The data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS version 22.0 program for independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficients. Results: Emergency nurses experienced more verbal abuse and compassion fatigue than nurses in other departments, and the level of work engagement was low. There was a positive correlation between experience of verbal abuse and compassion fatigue and a negative correlation between both of these variables and work engagement. Particularly, verbal abuse appeared in the order of nurses, patients & caregivers, and doctors. This means there were serious problems with communication with nurses. Conclusion: In order to reduce verbal abuse, it is necessary to establish a communication culture of mutual respect between nurses, medical staff, patients & caregivers. Moreover, a compassion fatigue management program is needed to reduce emotional fatigue.

논쟁성향, 언어적 공격성, 커뮤니케이션 불안감이 갈등관리 방식에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Argumentativeness, Verbal Aggressiveness and Communication Anxiety on Conflict Management Style)

  • 본 연구에서는 논쟁성향과 언어적 공격성, 그리고 커뮤니케이션 불안감 등 커뮤니케이션 관련 변인들이 갈등관리 방식에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 조사하였다. 총 404명의 대학생들을 대상으로 설문 조사가 이루어졌으며 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 우선 논쟁 성향이 높은 사람일수록 갈등상황에서 통합, 경쟁, 타협 방식을 사용하며, 회피나 양보방식은 사용하지 않는 것을 알 수 있었다. 두 번째로 언어적 공격성이 높은 사람일수록 경쟁 방식을 사용하며, 회피하지는 않는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 커뮤니케이션 불안감이 높으면 회피나 양보 방식을 사용하게 되며, 통합이나 경쟁은 사용하지 않는다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 결과에 대한 논의 및 함의 또한 다루었다.
