차량간 Ad hoc 네트워크에서 트래픽 잼 정보의 전달 방법 (Dissemination of Traffic-Jam Information in inter-vehicle ad-hoc networks)

  • In an Intelligent Transport System(ITS), data dissemination based on inter-vehicle communication is effective for acquiring real-time traffic-jam information. In this paper, we propose a novel method for traffic jam information dissemination in vehicular ad-hoc networks. In our proposed method, vehicles already trapped in a Traffic-Jam elect leaders according to their locations from upstream and downstream respectively. Then each leader generates traffic data which contains their position, velocity and leader counter respectively, and disseminate the information. {{br}}The implementation of our proposed method is evaluated by means of simulation, and we also present simulation result

국도상 교통사고 심각도에 영향을 미치는 횡단구성 요소 분석 (Analysis of Road Cross Section Component Affecting Traffic Accident Severity on National Highway)

  • According to traffic accidents statistics, the number of fatalities, injuries and the rate of increase of traffic accidents have been decreasing over last 5-years. The fatality rate is 1.9 for total accidents but the fatality rate for single vehicle accidents shows a 7.9, which is 4 times greater than the average for all accidents. Single vehicle accidents, usually occur as a vehicle impacts a fixed objects on the roadside as the vehicle runs-off from the road. However, few researches have been conducted considering the accident severity of single vehicle accidents which impact to the fixed objects on the road. The single vehicle accident is directly related to the composition of road cross section, (since it is the required the minimum width of a road for all run-off-the-road vehicles to recover or come to a safe stop). Therefore, this study analyzes the influence of road cross section on traffic accidents to find out the severity of single vehicle accident. To analyze the road elements which are related to the accident severity, the Ordered Probit Model was used. As variables, the element of road cross section such as the radius(m), vertical curve(%), cross sectional grade(%), road width(m). number of climbing lane, median, and curb, were used (as was the 3-years of accidents data). This study found out that cross slope(%), road width(m), and the number of climbing lane are related to the severity of accident. The result of this study could be expected to improve the road safety and to be used as the base data for further road safety research.

교통상황과 확률적 수요를 고려한 차량경로문제의 Hybrid 유전자 알고리즘 (A Hybrid Genetic Algorithm for Vehicle Routing Problem which Considers Traffic Situations and Stochastic Demands)

  • 도심지에서 수요지간의 이동시간은 복잡한 도로사정과 외부환경으로 인하여 실시간 변화하는 교통상황에 큰 영향을 받고 있으며, 수요는 시기나 성향에 따라 확률적으로 변화하고 있다. 대부분의 차량경로문제 연구는 차량경로를 선정함에 있어 수요지간의 이동거리와 평균속력, 확정된 수요를 고려하여 경로를 구성하고 있으며, 교통상황과 확률적인 수요의 동적인 외부환경 반영이 미흡하였다. 본 연구에서는 원활 지체 정체의 교통상황과 확률적인 수요를 고려한 현실적인 차량경로문제를 제안하였다. 수리모형을 구축하고, CPLEX 11.1을 이용하여 검증하였으며, 총 소요시간을 최소화하는 Hybrid 유전자 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 교통상황과 확률적 수요를 고려한 차량경로문제의 결과를 기존의 휴리스틱 알고리즘과 비교하였으며, 본 연구에서 제안한 알고리즘이 가장 우수한 해를 제공하였다.

CA 모델을 활용한 단속류에서의 차량주행 특성 (Vehicle Running Characteristics for Interrupted Traffic Flow by Using Cellular Automata)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존 기종점 트립 기반 교통시뮬레이션이 가지는 한계를 극복하고 대규모 지역이나 도시를 대상으로 개별 통행주체의 활동기반(activity-based) 모형의 적용가능성을 검증하기 위한 기초 연구로 단속류 가로구간을 대상으로 차량추종모형의 근간이 되는 가 감속 및 차로변경 등의 제어변수를 우리 실정에 맞게 보정(calibration)하는 방안을 제시하였다. 특히, 기존 한 cell의 크기인 7.5m보다는 1.0m가 단속류의 교통특성을 보다 잘 구현함을 확인하였으며 각 차량들에 ID를 부여하여 차량의 거동 특성을 추적하는 기법을 제시하였다. 나아가 차종을 세분화하고 대상구간의 차종비율을 적용시켜 실제 단속류에서의 차량의 주행특성을 분석하였다. 제안한 모델의 검증을 위해 대구시 수성구의 달구벌대로 일부 가로구간을 대상으로 시뮬레이션 한 결과 실제 단속류의 교통특성 구현이 가능함을 확인하였다.

도시 스케일의 교통 흐름 시뮬레이션을 위한 궤적 데이터 시각화 (On Visualization of Trajectory Data for Traffic Flow Simulation of Urban-scale)

  • 교통량이 증가하고 도로 네트워크가 복잡해짐에 따라 정확한 교통 흐름 파악을 통해 교통의 원활한 흐름을 유도하는 것은 많은 국가의 관심사항이다. 교통 흐름을 효과적으로 알기 위한 다양한 분석 기술 및 연구들이 있어 왔지만 위치(GPS) 데이터를 포함한 데이터 시각화를 통해 먼저 교통 흐름의 패턴을 찾는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 실제 도시의 교통 궤적을 시뮬레이션한 내용을 도구로 사용함으로써 교통 흐름의 패턴을 시각화하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이에 24시간운행 되어 지고 정해진 경로가 없는 특징을 가진 실제 택시 40대에 센서 모듈을 설치하여 IoV(Internet of Vehicle)데이터를 수집하고 이 데이터를 이용하여 전처리 과정을 거친 후 오픈소스 기반의 데이터 시각화 도구를 우리의 데이터 특성에 적합하도록 개선하였다. 해당 시각화 모델은 시간 흐름에 따른 차량 트랙킹 Dot을 통해 차량 밀집 지역과 이동 경로 패턴 인식이 가능하므로 도시 내에서 또는 도시와 도시간의 교통 흐름 파악을 통해 도시 환경 문제 개선에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

Implementation of Smart Traffic Safety Systems using Fuzzy Theory

  • Traffic accidents due to excessive speed frequently occur in places where traffic signal controllers are installed, places where sharp curves exist, or places where the traffic signal cycle does not match the current time. These traffic accidents cause economic loss due to the destruction of road facilities and structures, and cause a big problem of increasing the number of traffic accident deaths. When a traffic accident occurs, leaving a tire mark before or after a car crash, pre-collision speed of the car is calculated using the law of conservation of momentum or the skid mark formula. In the skip skid mark generated in ABS brake vehicles and the combshaped yaw mark generated by tire trace caused by lateral sliding, there is a difference of 30-40% in the reliability of the vehicle speed calculated by the smite mark. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that can improve the calculation reliability in vehicle speed by using skid marks in order to compensate for this problem. In addition, we present an intelligent speed calculation algorithm for traffic safety and a computer simulation in order to prevent traffic accidents by estimating the speed of a vehicle, using Skid marks, Yaw marks, and ABS brake characteristics and fuzzy rules.

네트워크 도로터널에서 근접행렬을 이용한 교통량 계산 방법 (The calculation method of the traffic using incidence matrix in vehicle network tunnels)

  • 도로 터널 내의 환기설계를 위해서는 먼저 각 차종별 교통량 구성 비율을 알아야 한다. 일반적인 도로터널의 경우 입구와 출구의 수가 동일하고 일방향이기 때문에 유입된 차종별 구성 비율이 출구에서 나올 때까지 달라지지 않는다. 반면에 네트워크 도로터널의 경우 터널 내의 연결이 복잡한 네트워크로 되어 있기 때문에 차종별 구성 비율이 달라진다. 이에 본 연구에서는 근접행렬을 이용하여 네트워크 도로터널에서 차종별 일교통량 구성 비율을 쉽게 계산할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다.

Vehicle-related Fine Particulate Air Pollution in Seoul, Korea

  • Vehicle exhaust is a dominant source of air pollutants in urban areas. Since people are easily exposed to vehicle exhaust particles while driving a car and/or traveling via public transportation, air pollution near traffic has been extensively studied in developed countries. In this paper, investigations on vehicle-related fine particulate air pollution at roadsides and on roads in Seoul, Korea were reviewed to understand air pollution near traffic. Comparison of $PM_{10}$ concentrations in Seoul showed that roadside air is more contaminated than urban air, implying that exposure levels near vehicular emissions are more critical to sensitive persons. Concentrations of ultrafine particles and BC (black carbon) at roadsides of Seoul fluctuate highly for short durations, responding to traffic situations. Diurnal variations of ultrafine particles and BC concentrations at roadsides seem to be affected by traffic volume, mixing layer height, and wind speed. Concentrations of ultrafine particles and BC decrease as distance from the road increases due to dilution during transport. On-road air pollution seems to be more severe than roadside air pollution in Seoul. Since nearby traffic air pollution has not been well understood in Seoul, further studies including various vehicular air pollutants and representative locations are needed.

한국형 실사고 심층조사 데이터베이스 질향상을 위한 차량속도(ΔV) 측정방법에 관한 연구 (Research on the Investigation of ΔV (Delta-V) for the Quality Improvement of Korean In-Depth Accident Study (KIDAS) Database)

  • Modern traffic accidents are a complex occurrence. Various indicators are needed to analyze traffic accidents. Countries that have been investigating traffic accidents for a long time accumulate various data to analyze traffic accidents. The Korean In-Depth Accident Study (KIDAS) database collected damaged vehicles and severity of injury caused by Collision Deformation Classification code (CDC code), Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS), and Injury Severity Score (ISS). As a result of the investigation, data relating to the injuries of the occupants can be easily obtained, but it was difficult to analyze human severity based on the information of the damaged vehicle. This study suggests a method to measure the speed change at the time of an accident, which is one of the most important indicators in the vehicle crash database, to help advance KIDAS research.

Fundamental Study on Effect of Preceding Vehicle Information on Fuel Consumption Reduction of a Vehicle Group

  • It is a concern that eco-driving vehicles, because their driving behavior differs from other vehicles due to e.g. e-start, may inhibit smooth traffic flow. Therefore, it is necessary to study the cooperative eco-driving done by a vehicle group, putting "vehicle-to-vehicle communication" and "road-to-vehicle communication" into perspective. Based on these factors, this study aimed to: 1) Analyze fuel consumption rates and driving behaviors of more than one vehicle following an Eco-Driving vehicle. 2) Examine the effect of information on the fuel consumption rate of the preceding vehicles on the following vehicles. As a result, the following findings were obtained: 1) By providing information to multiple following vehicles, the fuel consumption rate of the second vehicle was not lowered, while that of the third one was. 2) It is possible that, when information on fuel consumption of a preceding vehicle is provided to the following one, an inter-vehicular distance is shortened during deceleration to contribute to smooth traffic flow. From the above results, it is suggested that, when targeting a vehicle group, sharing the information on preceding vehicles is effective.
