Existing studies on the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)-based CPS (Cyber Physical System) environment lack forest fire monitoring and forest fire reconnaissance using real-world UAVs. So, it is necessary to monitor forest fires early through CPS based on real-world UAVs with high reliability and resource management efficiency. In this paper presents an MFG (Misstion File Generater) that automatically generates a flight path of an UAV for forest fire monitoring in a CPS environment. MFG generates flight paths based on a hiking trail with a high fire probability due to a true story of an entrant. We have confirmed that the flight path generated by MFG can be applied to the UAV. Also, we have verified that the UAV flies according to the flight path generated by MFG in simulation, with a negligible error rate.
More than five thousands transportation fires occurannually in Korea and the resulting destruction of property and loss of life is huge and results in traffic and environmental pollution. The recent development of automobile technology such as the hybrid concept and use of bio fuels makes fire protection even more difficult due to a lack of understanding of the new adapted system including vehicle engines. In this study, a numerical simulation was performed on a PSR (perfectly Stirred Reactor) to simulate an automobile engine and to clarify the effect of gasoline/ethanol surrogates as a fuel. The temperature, NOx and soot emissions were predicted to decrease with increasing ethanol content, but that of unburned hydrocarbons was found to increase dramatically. The result will provide not only the basic thermal characteristics for engines and their after-treatment systems, but also make it possible to assess the potential for fire events in these systems when an ethanol mixed fuel is used in gasoline vehicles.

The Korea Foldable safe pathway system is an evacuation support system to get temporary evacuation route in railway tunnel and large space fires. A prevention smoke screen is unfolded in fires and it is needed to prevent heat and smoke from fire source. Therefore, ventilation system for positive pressure condition is equipped with foldable safe pathway system. Numerical analyses of temperature and pressure distribution with distance from fire source were performed considering fire scenario of new train vehicle. The smoke temperatures did not exceed $200^{\circ}C$ that distance from the fire source was more than 20 m and smoke pressure was reduced with distance from fire source. Maximum smoke pressure was 14 Pa and average pressure was 6 Pa in position of prevention smoke screen. As results, to install foldable safe pathway system, ventilation system is need to maintain 6 Pa positive pressure condition.

The Monte Carlo method was used to evaluate the reliability of crash discrimination algorithms. Through the Fast Fourier Transformation, crash pulses obtained during frontal crash tests of a mini van and a sports utility vehicle were transformed to signals in the frequency domain, and the signals were divided into basic signals and changeable signals. The changeable signals were modified through random generation, and they were combined with the basic signals. Then, the combined signals were transferred back to the time domain. In this way numerous crash pulses could be generated. For the generated pulses, crash discrimination algorithms were evaluated by examining whether they did not result in air bag deployment for the pulses requiring no air bag deployment and whether they resulted in time-to-fires faster than required time-to-fires for the pulses requiring air bag deployment. The crash discrimination algorithm in which the absolute value of the deceleration change multiplied by the velocity change or the summation of the absolute value of the deceleration change was used as a metric was Proven to be highly reliable.

In recent years, the number of vehicle fires, as well as the number of motor vehicles, has been increasing rapidly. Therefore, several types of automatic fire suppression systems for the engine compartment of automobiles have been developed to extinguish automobile fires, and most of these systems use halon 1301 as a fire extinguishing agent. Due to environmental concerns, the phase-out of halons has been announced, so now there is a need to replace halon 1301. For this, a 1,1,1,2,3,3,3-heptaflouropropane (HFC-227ea, FM-$200^{TM}$) gas-filled Aqueous Film- Forming foam (known as AFFF) extinguisher was devised even though air foam extinguishers could be used. This is because the air in the foam bubbles is a source of oxygen required for the combustion reaction. It can be surmised that it is possible to increase the fire extinguishing efficiency of AFFF by filling in foam bubbles with a gaseous extinguishing agent. The best choice is the FM-$200^{TM}$ gas-filled AFFF, Which has the maximum expansion ratio of 62:1. This makes it possible for the expanded foam to rapidly fill the engine compartment.
Along with global environmental issues, the size of the electric vehicle market has recently skyrocketed. Various efforts have been made to extend mileage, one of the biggest problems of the electric vehicles, and development of batteries with high energy densities has led to exponential growth in mileage and performance. However, proper thermal management is essential because these high-performance batteries are affected by continuous heat generation and can cause fires due to thermal runaway phenomena. Therefore, thermal management of the battery is studied through the optimal design of the guide vanes, while utilizing the existing battery casing to ensure the safety of the electric vehicles. A battery from T-company, one of a manufacturer of the electric vehicles, was used for the research, and the commercial CFD software, ANSYS CFX V20.2, was used for analysis. The guide vanes were derived through optimal design based on a genetic algorithm with flow analysis. The optimized guide vanes show improved heat removal performance.

As a result of the recent revision of the 'Guideline for Installation and Management of Fire Prevention Facility in Road Tunnels', the thermal buoyancy has to be taken into account when calculating the capacity of jet fans for smoke control in tunnel fires. However, there is no detailed methodologies for considering thermal buoyancy, so further study is needed. In this study, the thermal buoyancy in the tunnel is calculated by 3-D numerical simulation to consider the thermal buoyancy in case of fire in tunnels, and the relationship between heat buoyancy and vehicle drag, And the method of calculating the capacity of the jet fan for smoke control in tunnels. According to the analysis results, heat buoyancy acts as a resistance force in the case of a down-slope tunnel, and the pressure rise of jet fan for smoke control is not simply determined by the value of heat buoyancy at the entrance of the tunnel and the value of the vehicle drag at the exit. And it is analyzed that it is necessary to carry out a comprehensive review according to the location of the fire vehicle in tunnels.
A room scale fire test was done for interior materials from a subway vehicle installed within an ISO 9705 fire test room. The interior materials are the old ones which were made before the new fire safety guideline of subway vehicles. The output of ignition burner was increased in controlled steps to CEN/TS 45545-1. The objectives of this interior fire test are to assess the fire performance in terms of ignition and flame spread on interior lining materials and to provide data on an enclosure fires involving subway vehicle interior materials that grow to flashover. Temperatures, heat flux and heat release rate variations verse time of the test are measured. Heat release rate is compared with that of calculated by modified flaming area based summation method. These test results will be used for verification of CFD fire simulation of full subway vehicle.
This paper deal with vehicle fire caused by damage of diesel particulate filter (DPF) on diesel passenger vehicles. In order to reduce particulate matters included exhaust gases, a DPF in the exhaust system were installed diesel vehicles. A DPF was broken by excessively trapped particulate matters, regeneration error with a malfunction of ECU and defect of suction system such as swirl valve. If the DPF was broken, hot exhaust gases was released to the bottom of vehicle and released hot exhaust gases lead to occur the fire through combustible materials around the exhaust system. When a fire happened in the diesel vehicle caused by damage of DPF, silicate inorganic compounds were attached to the exhaust ventilation pipe and muffler. The silicate inorganic compounds were created by DPF combustion consisting of raw material ceramics. If the silicate inorganic compounds attached to the tail pipe in the diesel passenger vehicles, its fire cause will be assumed damage of DPF.
In general, golden time refers to the most important time in the initial response to accidents such as saving lives or extinguishing fires. The golden time varies from disaster to disaster, but is aimed at five minutes in terms of fire and first aid. However, for the actual site, the average dispatch time for ambulances is 9 minutes and the average transfer time is 17.6 minutes, which is quite large compared to the golden time. There are various causes for this delay, but the main cause is traffic jams. In order to solve the problem, the government has established emergency car concession obligations and secured golden time to prioritize ambulances in places with the highest accident rate, but it is not a solution in rush hour when traffic is increasing rapidly. Therefore, this paper proposed a deep learning-based emergency vehicle priority signal system using collected sound data by installing sound sensors on traffic lights and conducted an experiment to classify frequency signals that differ depending on the distance of the emergency vehicle.
