STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: Preparation of implant beds with lasers is considered a safe and reliable method, but the accuracy of this technique has not been examined. PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accuracy and effectiveness of implant bed preparation using an Er,Cr:YSGG laser. MATERIAL AND METHODS: An Er,Cr:YSGG laser was applied to pig rib bone. The laser was employed at a 5.75 W power setting, 30 Hz/sec pulse repetition, and 70 ${\mu}s$ pulse duration with 50 % water and 60% air spray. According to laser tips the groups were divided as follows; Group 1: paralleled - shaped sapphire tip (0.6 mm${\Phi}$), Group 2: paralleled - shaped zirconia tip (0.6 mm${\Phi}$), Group 3: tapered sapphire tip (0.4 mm${\Phi}$). The Er,Cr:YSGG laser tip was separated by 1 mm from the bone and applied for 15 seconds in a non-contact mode. After the application, the bone was sectioned for specimens. Histologic measurements were determined by computerized morphometry. The length of the prepared bone surface was measured and the width of the entrance was measured. The results were analyzed with one-way ANOVA (P<0.05). RESULTS: The prepared length of group 3 was longer than that of group 2. The prepared bone width was larger than the width of the laser tip in every group. Additional bone removal was observed adjacent to the prepared area and displayed an irregular surface. CONCLUSION & DISCUSSION: Different cutting effects were observed according to the laser tip, emphasizing the importance of proper tip selection in the clinical setting. This preliminary study supported the existence of hydrokinetic effects.

Aluminum alloys have low density, relatively high strength and yield strength, good plasticity, good machinability, and high corrosion and acid resistance. Therefore, they are suitable for large containers for the food, chemical and other industries. Large containers are often bodies of revolution consisting of shell courses, stiffening rings, heads and other elements joined by annular welds. Larger containers have longer welds and require greater leak-tightness and higher weld mechanical properties. The LNG tank consists of aluminum plates with various sizes, so its construction should by divided by several sections. Moreover, each section has its own sub-section consisted of several aluminum plates. To guarantee the quality of huge LNG tank, therefore, the precise control of plate dimension should by urgently needed in conjunction with the appropriate selection of process parameters such as cutting speed, depth of cut, rotational speed and so on. In this paper, a manufacturing system was developed to implement automatic circular tracking in height direction and automatic circular interpolation in depth of cut direction. Also, the neural network based on the backpropagation algorithm was used to predict the cutting quality and motor load related with the life time of the developed system. It was revealed that the manufacturing system and the neural network could be effectively applied to the bevelling process and to predict the quality of machined area and the motor load.

With recent localized heavy rain, the collapsing accident of the cut slopes occur repeatedly every year. The maintenance of the cut slopes is very crucial as the collapsing of cut slopes causes various calamities such as human causalities and sweeping away of the roads. By looking at the study of current situation of the cut slopes, designed for maintenance of cut slopes, the locations of the damaged districts are hard to figure out as they are represented through distance mark and longitude and latitude. In this paper has used NDGPS methods and VRS service through GPS signal corrections that are received by DGPS standard department to correctly analyze the exact location and the shape of the slope. The result of this analysis shows that both methods produce similar shape of the slope. Therefore, these two methods, NDGPS methods and VRS service, can be applied to other analysis of cut slopes in different areas.

Head-up displays for vehicles play an important role in displaying various information about the safety and convenience of driving on the windshield of the vehicle. In this study, ultra-precision machining was performed and evaluated as a method for machining a large-area aspheric free-form mirror that is applicable to augmented reality technology. Precision diamond cutting is highly accurate and suitable for the production of advanced parts with excellent surface integrity, low surface roughness, and low residual stress. By using an aspheric free-form mold, it is possible to improve the optical transfer function, reduce the distortion path, and realize a special image field curvature. To make such a mold, the diamond cutting method was used, and the result was evaluated using an aspherical shape-measuring machine. As a result, it was possible to the mold with shape accuracy (PV) below $1{\mu}m$ and surface roughness (Ra) below $0.02{\mu}m$.
The primary goal of this study was to provide a systematic methodology of utilizing 3D technology for tight-fit performance sportswear using information of skin deformation in various posture. Technical tools used in this study are Cyberware whole body scanner, RapidForm2004, 2C-AN 3D pattern development program, and YukaCAD. Analysis of the 3D skin deformation while knee joint was bent from $0^{\circ}$ to $60^{\circ}$ revealed that the length of dermatomes L4 was remained consistent during knee bending. Therefore, L4 was chosen as a major cutting line. To develop a highly ergonomic pattern, replicas of static and dynamic postures were developed and integrated using two methods, one is morphing method (Sqirlz Morph), and the other is AutoCAD. Experimental tight-fit garments called 'Derm-Mov Pattern' was designed using dematomes L4, L2, and inner line under knee and compared with four other patterns. As results, AutoCAD was appropriate as a integrating method of various postures. In wear test, 'Derm-Mov Pattern' was rated high (p < .001), in terms of pressure comfort especially around front crotch area. However, wear sensation was not signipicantly different in other area due to highly extensible property of materials. Pressure distribution was relatively even in these experimental garments.

This paper describes the results of a systematic study to determine the characteristics of particle generated from various types of asbestos containing material(ACM) and manmade fiber material(MMFM) during operations of cutting and grinding in laboratory and workplace. Tests were conducted with a specially designed glove box which allowed complete sampling of the generated asbestos fibers. Specificially, air measurements were made during ACM and MMFM installation in building. All personal air samples collected were identified by polarized light microscopy(PLM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscope with energy dispersive X-ray analysis(SEM/EDXA). Also, the samples were counted by phase contrast microscope(PCM) in order to compare the results with the permissible exposure standard for workplace. Results indicate that the characterisitcs of fibers found in the roofing sheet, the ceiling and the wall insulation boards were identical to those of asbestos, while the characteristics of fibers found in the ceiling insulation board, the floor tile and the sprayed on insulation products in parking area were identical to those of asbestos, while the characteristics of fibers found in the ceiling insulation board, the floor tile and the sprayed on insulation products in parking area were identical to those of rock wool. The concentrations of airborne fibers from various building materials cut by a grinder for 5 minutes were in the ranges of 0.09 $\sim$ 1.71 fibers/cc(f/cc). The highest concentration(1.71f/cc) was found during grinding the wall insulation board which also contains rock wool. The airborne fiber concentrations generated by installing at workplace were ranged from 0.0009 to 0.029 f/cc. All asbestos fibers from the ceiling insulation board at workplace were less than 20$\mu$m in length and more than 20% of them had the average aspect ratio greater than 20. Therefore, for the purpose of decreasing asbestos and man-made fiber concentrations at the workplace, the ceiling and wall board should use strong binding material to increase the binding force with fiber. Also, the permissible exposure standard for workplace(2.0f/cc) in Korea should be constituted below the maximum avaiable concentration measured at glove box.
Various development works inevitably increase cutting slopes due to land use, and many of trails managed by different authorities are being deteriorated by long-term weathering. Collapse of slopes causes unavoidable damage of property and loss of lives because of its uncertainty and difficulty in predicting its occurrence. In order to overcome the unavoidability, America, Japan, and several European nations analyze the kinetic energy and moving distance when rocks of upper slope move along the inclined plane, via field tests and computerized interpretation of the test results. Also, they are making efforts to develop measures with which the kinetic energy of the rocks moving along the slope is absorbed and fails to reach to specific structures. However, domestic researches just focus on fragmentary prediction of rockfall using existing programs, and there have been few approaches to identify interpretation methods appropriate for domestic cases or determination of parameters. In this context, we in this study defined rockfall types and affecting factors and analyzed effects of parameters using a general-purpose rockfall simulation program to understand principles of rockfall and to estimate effects of various parameters.

T. and 2 times shot for poliomyelitis vaccine turned out be to 67.8% and 87.5%, respectively.
Background: Invasive alien plant species (IAP) significantly threaten Nepal's protected areas and local communities. Understanding their distribution, impact, management, and utilization is essential for developing effective management strategies and sustainable utilization practices. The systematic literature review of publications from 2010 to 2023. The search was conducted through the database Nepal Journal online database (NepJOL) and Google Scholar, yielding an initial pool of 4,304 publication. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria; we meticulously reviewed 43 articles for data extraction. Results: Seventeen IAP are found in protected area, Nepal with the highest prevalence observed in Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, followed by Chitwan and Sukhlaphanta National Park. The most problematic species in terrestrial ecosystems are Mikania micrantha, Lantana camara, and Chromolaena odorata. The grassland ecosystems of wildlife habitats, primarily in the Terai and Siwalik regions, are the most invaded. Various management approaches are employed to mitigate the spread and impact of IAP, including mechanical methods such as uprooting, burning, and cutting. However, these methods are costly, and context-specific interventions are needed. The study also explores the potential use of IAP for economic, ecological, or cultural purposes, such as medicinal properties, energy production potential, and economic viability. Local communities utilize these plants for animal bedding, mulching, green manure, briquette, and charcoal production. Conclusions: Applying silvicultural practices alongside mechanical management is recommended to maintain a healthy terrestrial ecosystem and utilize the removed biomass for valuable products, thereby reducing removal costs and increasing income sources, potentially benefitting both local communities and wildlife in protected areas.

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes were purified by using the nitric acid after the mechanical cutting, which carboxylic group might be introduced into the surface of nanotubes. To enhance the dispersion of CNTs, carboxylic groups were substituted in the reaction with octadecyl amine containing a long alkyl group. Nanofibers were manufactured by electrospinning, the solution that mixed with PMMA and ODA-fuctionalized CNTs in dimethyl formamide and dispersed with ultrasonication. Diameter and alignment of nanofibers with various electrospinning parameters, such as the CNT and PMMA concentration in solution, the applied voltage, and the distance to the collector were investigated. As a result, the nanofiber diameter was increased with the increment of PMMA concentration, whereas it was reduced as the applied voltage and the spinning distance was increased. The spinning area became smaller with the distance. The nanofibers were formed without the defect on surface and well aligned in a specific concentration of PMMA and nanotubes.
