A study on the design wax up technique for mandibular molar occlusion surface (하악구치 교합면의 design 조각법에 관한 연구)

  • The first function of occlusion is mastication. Therefore the functional restoration of occlusal surface is very important. The restoration of occlusal surface is three method as wax bite technique, F.G.P. technique, cone technique. Many dental technician is using compound method. I am using compound method of wax bite technique and cone technique. I have knew common point on each teeth during I have waxing up wax pattern. So I studied on the design waxup technique for mandible molar occlusion. The results of the study were as follows; 1. The dam wax up method can restore axial contour of teeth very easy and make short working time of wax pattern. 2. The height of dam must be same with cusp of adjacent teeth. 3. Automatically the contour of tooth is appeared if the contour of dam is relationship with cuspid line of adjacent teeth. 4. The height of contour of buccal, lingual surface is formed natural curve to add fluid wax by gravitation. 5. The development groove of mandible first premolar is appeared V form. 6. The development groove of mandible second premolar is appeared Y form. 7, The development groove of mandible first molar is appeared M form. 8. The development groove of mandible second molar is W form. 9. The embrasure is formed to carve around contact point area as round convex. It affects to axial form of tooth. 10. The buccal, lingual groove of molar is formed parallel with direction of teeth arrangement.

Studies on Dissolution Rate of Drugs (XV) Dissolution Characteristics of Ibuprofen Dispersed in Sodium Deoxycholate (의약품의 용출에 관한 연구(제15보) 데옥시콜린산나트륨에 분산된 이부프로펜의 용출 특성)

  • Coprecipitates of ibuprofen (IPF)-sodium deoxycholate (DC-Na) were prepared at various mixing ratios of IPF to DC-Na. X-ray diffraction measurments indicated that IPF in 1:3 and 1:5 IPF-DC-Na coprecipitate did not exist in the crystal form, however in the 1:8 coprecipitate, IPF remained its crystalline form. The dissolution rate was tested in pH 7.4 phosphate buffer by the paddle method of dissolution test of KP V. The dissolution rates of IPF from 1:1, 1:3, 1:5, 1:8 and 1:10(w/w) IPF-DC-Na coprecipitates and physical mixtures were compared with that of IPF alone. It was found that the dissolution rate of 1:5(w/w) coprecipitate was greater than that of pure IPF, coprecipitate and physical mixture at any other ratios of the two components. The concentration of IPF released from the IPF-DC-Na coprecipitates reached a plateau within 10 min, and thereafter gradually decreased indicating that IPF released from the coprecipitate was recrystallized due to the transient supersaturation.

  • We examined the electrical properties and microstructure of NiO produced using a sol-gel method and Ni nitrate hexahydrate ($Ni[NO_3]_2{\cdot}6H_2O$) to investigate if this NiO thin film can be used as an insulator layer for resistance random access memory (ReRAM) devices. It was found that as-prepared NiO film was polycrystalline and presented as the nonstoichiometric compound $Ni_{1+x}O$ with Ni interstitials (oxygen vacancies). Resistances-witching behavior was observed in the range of 0~2 V, and the low-resistance state and high-resistance state were clearly distinguishable (${\sim}10^3$ orders). It was also demonstrated that NiO could be patterned directly by KrF eximer laser irradiation using a shadow mask. NiO thin film fabricated by the sol-gel method does not require any photoresist or vacuum processes, and therefore has potential for application as an insulating layer in low-cost ReRAM devices.

  • To elucidate the effect of dorsal acupoints for canine electroacupuncture anesthesia, mongrel dogs(6 heads: 2.6-10.5kg, 3 males and 3 females) were used. After needling perpendicularly to Tian-Ping(GV-5) and Bai-Hui(GV-20), the electrodes were connected with positive to Tian-Ping and negative to Bi-hui, respectively using with veterinary electroacupuncture apparatus(TEC AM-3000). The electric conditions were 2-4V and 30 Hz. The pain of body surface was checked by hemostatic forceps. The effect of electroacupuncture andesthesia was appreciated by application of laparotomy(2 heads), ear trimming and tail amputation(1 head), castration(2 heads) and enterotomy(1 head), respectively. Induction time, clinical findings and operation findings were investigated under the electroacupuncture anesthesia. The induction time of electroacupuncture anesthesia was very rapid, approximately 1 minute and the pain of body surface including the extremities was not detected. As for clinical findings during electroacupuncture anesthesia, consciousness was evident, pupil reflex was weak and blepharoreaction was existed. As for operation findings, pain was not detected during incision and suture, and bleeding was relatively small volume. The grade of electroacupuncture anesthesia was excellent in all cases applied with ear trimming and tail amputation, laparatomy, castration and enterotomy. Considering above all findings, it was thought that electroacupuncture stimulation at Tian-Ping and Bai-hui examined in the present study induced excellent electroacupuncture anesthesia for dogs.

  • 고효율 염료감응 태양전지를 제작하기 위해 Sol-gel법을 사용하여 $TiO_2$ 분말을 제조하였다. 제조 과정 중 다양한 양의 nitric acid를 첨가하여 pH를 조절하였다. Sol-gel법을 위한 출발 물질로 titanium (IV) isopropoxide(TTIP)와 DI water를 사용하였으며 nitric acid은 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15의 몰비(nitric acid/TTIP)로 첨가하였다. 첨가한 결과 pH는 $22^{\circ}C$에서 각각 5.52, 2.26, 1.68, 1.38이었다. 얻어진 $TiO_2$ 콜로이드 용액은 결정성 있는 분말로 제조 후 $5{\times}5[mm^2]$ 크기의 염료감응 태양전지를 제작하는데 사용 되였다. $TiO_2$의 결정구조 및 형태는 cell의 XRD와 FE-SEM으로 분석되었고 전기화학적 특성을 분석하기 위해 irradiation of AM 1.5 ($100mW/cm^2$) simulatedsunlight에서 I-V 곡선을 측정하였다. 측정 결과 몰비(nitric acid/TTIP) 0.05, pH가 2.26일 때 가장 우수한 효율 특성을 보였다.

  • 최근 유기물을 사용한 유기 태양 전지의 주된 제작 방식은 유기물질을 유기용매에 녹여 사용 하는 스핀코팅 방식이다. 스핀코팅은 박막 형성이 쉽고 대량생산이 용이하다는 장점이 있지만, 표면분석의 측면에서 보면 박막이 한번에 형성되기 때문에 전극 위에 유기물질이 박막을 형성하는 순간의 계면을 측정하기 어렵다. 그에 반해 진공전기분무 방식은 진공에서 얇은 박막에서부터 점차적으로 두께를 늘려가며 증착 할 수 있고 또한 증착이 진공에서 이루어져서 불순물을 최소화 할 수 있기 때문에 표면분석의 측면에서 용이하다. 특히 본 실험에서는 유기 태양전지에서 벌크 이질접합(bulk heterojunction)을 만드는데 널리 쓰이는 물질인 Poly(3-hexythiophene) (P3HT)과 (PCBM)을 toluene에 녹인 후(0.2 mg/ml), 4-5 kV 사이의 전압을 인가하여, 고전압을 걸어 준 뒤 $5{\times}10^{-6}$ torr의 조건에서 분무하여 Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) 위에 박막의 두께를 늘려가며 증착시켰다. 이렇게 ITO 위에 만들어진 P3HT와 PCBM의 박막을 Photoemission spectroscopic (PES)을 이용하여 따른 화학적 구조와 전자구조를 분석하였고, 또한 동일한 농도의 용액으로 스핀코팅 방법을 이용하여 만든 시료와 앞서 언급한 조건의 진공전기분무 방법을 이용하여 만든 시료 사이의 표면거칠기와 morphology는 Atomic Force Microscopy(AFM)을 이용하여 비교 분석하였다.

Report of Two Cases of Shoulder Pain Diagnosed through MRI as Partial Tear of Supraspinatus Tendon Treated by Oriental Medical Treatment (MRI상 극상근건 부분파열로 진단받은 견비통 환자의 치험 2례 보고)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report the improvement after oriental medical treatment of partial tear of supraspinatus tendon. Method: We treated 2 patients having shoulder pain due to partial tear of supraspinatus tendon with Oriental medical treatment, including Sa-am acupuncture DaeJang-Jeonggyeok, A-shi point(阿是穴) and herbal medicine. We checked visual analog scale (VAS) score and range of movement (ROM). Results: We treated shoulder pain. Thereafter ROM improved and V AS score dropped to the level of 2 to 4 points from 10 points at onset. Conclusion: This report shows Oriental medical treatment has effectiveness on partial tear of supraspinatus tendon. Follow-up study is needed.

  • The single crystal scintillator of bismuth germinate ($Bi_4Ge_3O_{12}$:BGO) was successfully grown by the conventional Czochraski technique. The characteristics of the grown BGO were evaluated and presented on the excitation, emission responses and energy spectra of the $\gamma$-rays from $^{241}Am$, $^{133}Ba$, $^{57}Co$, $^{22}Na$, $^{137}Cs$ and $^{54}Mn$ radio-isotopes. The energy resolution of grown BGO, $\Delta$E/E, was estimated to be 12.1% at 662 keV of $\gamma$-ray for $^{137}Cs$ nuclide. Compared to the commercial BGO crystal, we confirmed that the grown BGO has a good performance and is comparable to reference one.

  • A solar cell based on dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion was studied by investigating the effects of the amount of polyethylene glycol(PEG), added to the $TiO_2$ paste, on surface morphology of the $TiO_2$ films and on the solar cell performance. Energy conversion efficiency was found to increase with PEG addition up to 20 % by weight of $TiO_2$ and then decrease with further addition due to the aggregation of $TiO_2$ nano particles in the $TiO_2$ film. In this study, the best result of dye-sensitized solar cell was the short circuit current(Isc) of $22.6mAcm^{-2}$, the open circuit voltage (Voc) of 0.73 V, the fill factor (ff) of 0.55 and the overall energy conversion efficiency (${\eta}$) of 9.1 % under illumination with AM 1.5 simulated sunlight.

On-Site Corrosion Behavior of Water-Treated Boiler Tube Steel

  • The boiler tubes of X20CrMoV12.1 used in fossil-fired power plants were obtained and analyzed for the effect of water treatment on the steam corrosion-induced oxide scale in an effort to better understand the oxide formation mechanism, as well as pertinent method of maintenance and lifetime extension. The specimens were analyzed using various microscopy and microanalysis techniques, with focuses on the effect of water treatment on the characters of scale. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the scales of specimens were composed of hematite ($Fe_2O_3$), magnetite ($Fe_3O_4$), and chromite ($FeCr_2O_4$). Electron backscatter diffraction analysis showed that the oxides were present in the following order on the matrix: outer $Fe_2O_3$, intermediate $Fe_3O_4$, and inner $FeCr_2O_4$. After all volatile treatment or oxygenated treatment, a dense protective $Fe_2O_3$ layer was formed on the $Fe_3O_4$ layer of the specimen, retarding further progression of corrosion.
