  • Hashtags (#) have received a great deal of attention from academia and industry as an effective digital tool for engaging social media users and facilitating electronic word-of-mouth for brands. We delved into motivations concerning people's brand-related hashtag-posting behavior on social media. The findings revealed three motivations for posting brand-related hashtags on social media: social acceptance, brand altruism, and incentive seeking. Additionally, we examined the relationships between motivations and brand relationship variables. The results showed that social acceptance and brand-related altruism predicted all of the five relationship variables (i.e., brand attitude, brand trust, brand affective and calculative commitment and brand loyalty), while incentive-seeking predicted brand calculative commitment and brand loyalty. The findings of the study provide some meaningful insights into the development of brand communication strategies and help marketers capitalize on social media platforms to achieve higher user involvement.

  • There have been researches on game continuance intention based on consumer behaviour theory of management science. Such macro access of computer game analysis might be insufficient to draw valuable results due to complex subsystem structure of recent computer games. In this paper, we choose 'Blade and Soul' game that was first published in 2012 and has been within top 20 MMORPG in Korea but known as a 'long time users' only game'among game players recently. Three user groups - long loyalty, concentrated, casual - are classified based on their play history and play time per day of Blade and Soul. The first survey with 222 subjects revealed that the real strength of the game was not the combat - Dungeon, Arena, Battleground competition - but very cohesive game community Blade and Soul has. Thus, we conduct another survey on the game community issues among 148 long time users (over 3 years playing history) and analyze their traits and behaviour patterns.

  • Purpose - This study posits that sustainable mobility of the sharing economy plays a key role to consider environment benefits. The purpose of this study is to investigate the bicycle-sharing economy as an emerging and alternative mode of transportation service and provide managerial and policy implications. The bicycle-sharing economy is still at an early stage of introduction as a transportation mode, while the governmental sector is promoting public bicycle-sharing to encourage bicycle as a substitute for private cars. Research design, data, and methodology - This study analyzed the current status of bicycle sharing programs through a survey that was distributed randomly to users and non-users across the country. Using factor analysis, satisfaction and loyalty for the existing users and intention to use and expected satisfaction for the potential users were examined in relation to utility factors. Results - The results show that economic utility affects satisfaction for user, while storage, mobility, and economic utility affects intention to use for potential users. The findings of this study indicate that in order to promote a bicycle-sharing scheme, it would be better to focus on the scheme's economic advantage to be truly effective. Conclusions - The findings of the study could be applicable to future directions of the sharing economy as a means to achieve the sustainable development of society.

  • This study focused on analyzing the effects of ease of use, usefulness on switching barrier and loyalty in the Korean telecommunication market. This study formulated a structural equational model, in which ease of use was adapted as an exogenous variable and in which usefulness, switching barrier were included as intermediate variables, having influences to the endogenous variable such as customer satisfaction and loyalty. In this study 6 hypotheses had been formulated, on which this research model was based, in order to test the significance of structured paths, suggested, in the previous articles, that having high interactive effects. This study collected the effective questionnaires of 452 respondents who had jobs nationwide and who used the telecommunication terminals and then analyzed with AMOS19 and SPSS19 to test the hypotheses. As a result, the conclusions are as follows: First, the ease of use and usefulness had significant effects on the switching barrier. Secondly, ease of use had a significant effect on the usefulness of customers, by which customers' satisfaction was influenced at low significant level. After all, the effects of ease of use and usefulness on switching barrier and satisfaction of the users of smart phones had been shown at the highest level.

  • In this paper, we investigate the concept of cyber identity built in cyberspace and analyze the effects of general perception toward cyber identity on loyalty and purchase intent. Cyber identity is classified into two types: personal and social cyber identity, and has five components. Avatars and online gaming capability make up personal cyber identity while online communities and instant messenger count as social cyber identity. We regard blog personalities as having both personal and social characteristics. In our survey, we conclude that internet users want to purchase cyber items such as avatars, online game items, and wallpaper pictures to enhance their cyber identities. Based on the survey results , we derive five factors comprising personal cyber identity and social cyber identity using factor analysis and analyze overall effects of cyber identity on loyalty and purchase intention using Structural Equation Model.

This study empirically examined the structural relationships among characteristics of internet banking, service quality, customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Characteristics of internet banking include relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, and perceived risk which are user-dependent in nature. Service quality was classified as 5 dimensions of SERVQUAL. Using a sample of 162 internet banking users, we empirically examined the study model. The results of this study showed that characteristics of internet banking and service quality had a significant effect on customer satisfaction and satisfaction in turn, had a significant positive effect on customer loyalty. • The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has been increasing non-face-to-face activities; as a result, this has resulted in the number of individuals obtaining medical information from the websites and mobile contents of medical institutions increasing. The study conducted the structural equation modeling to test hypotheses; as a result, all sub-factors of e-service quality of small medical clinic websites and mobile contents, usability, security, responsiveness, design, and information, had a significant positive effect on relationship quality, and relationship quality had a significant positive effect on e-Loyalty. Moreover, the structural equation model showed a good model fit, χ2/df of 2.021, NFI of .954, TLI of .969, CFI of .976, RMSEA of .046. Future research is suggested to study relationship quality by developing a system able to quickly and accurately respond to websites and mobile contents users; furthermore, improving e-service quality and relationship quality is likely to strengthen e-loyalty.
