  • The man who wants to create advance user created contents Is in need of using chroma-key method in a certain environment. Recently. pavilion that is painted with mono-color is used for the application of chroma-key. This paper aims to introduce a robust automatic adaptive chroma-key method without using pavilion. In this research. a new chroma-key method is applied to the separation of high frequency and low frequency using Wavelet is done in order that the noise can be eliminated. As a result, a chroma-key method with good capacity is shown from the research.

  • In this paper we propose a flexible video authentication scheme based on aggregate signature, which provides authenticity of a digital video by means of cryptographic signature to guarantee right of users. In contrast to previous works, the proposed scheme provides flexible usages on content distribution system, and it allows addition of new contents to the signed contents and deletion of some parts of the signed contents. A modification can be done by content owner or others. Although contents are modified by one or more users, our scheme can guarantee each user's right by aggregation of the each user's signatures. Moreover, proposed scheme has half size of Digital Signature Algorithm (DSA) with comparable security.

  • 인터넷이 UCC(User Created Content : 사용자 제작 콘텐츠)로 넘쳐나고 있다.

  • The amount of UCCs (User Created Contents) has been increasing rapidly and is associated with a serious copyright problem. Automatic logo detection in videos is an efficient means of overcoming the copyright problem. However, logos have varying characteristics, which make logo detection and recognition very difficult. Especially, there are frequent logo transitions in a video, comprising several video contents. This disrupts accurate video segmentation based on logos. Therefore, this paper proposes an accurate logo transition detection method for recognizing logos in digital video contents. The proposed method accurately segments a video according to logo and efficiently recognizes various types of logos. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method for logo detection and video segmentation according to logo.

  • User-created content(UCC) is on the rapid increase both in terms of quantity and the quality of sharing and enjoying each others. However, not much research has been done on school's adoption of this innovative contents for educational purposes. The aim of this case study is to identify the determinants of students' attitude toward using UCC in elementary school classes. This study employs the perceived educational value, ease of use, social influence, fun, computer self-efficacy, cooperativity and concentration as the antecedents of attitude, and collected 246 survey responses from 5th and 6th grade students. The results indicate that the perceived educational value, ease of use and socal influence have significant impact on the attitude toward using UCC. It was also found that the cooperativity, fun and ease of use determine the level of perceived educational value, and that the computer self-efficacy, fun and concentration influence the perceived ease of use. Some useful suggestions, concerning the utilizing UCC for educational purpose in elementary school classes, are also presented.

  • This study explored three questions: (1) what are the motives of producing and using user-created contents (UCC, video clips which are produced and uploaded at various web sites by individuals), (2) what are the gratifications that users obtain from UCC, and (3) what are the differences of gratifications according to individual uses of UCC. A survey was conducted to 258 UCC users and data were factor-analyzed to find the dimensions of motives and gratifications. As for the motives of UCC uses, six factors were constructed: self-expression, private life, participation, information retrieval, rest, and entertainment, among which self-expression showed the largest variation. As for the gratifications, five factors were constructed: self-expression, rest, information retrieval, socializing, and entertainment.

  • The era of Web 2.0, which is the web environment that offers end user oriented web platform, has arrived. Moreover, as the interest in UCC (User Created Contents) environment increases, it is a fact that the involvement of the users in multimedia contents is increasing rapidly. When the aim of Web 2.0, i.e. active involvement of the user, is considered, the necessity and the understanding about accessibility problem of the people who have difficulties about accessing web information, such as elderly and visually handicapped people, is increasing as well. This research analyzes the problems of virtually handicapped users to access web-based UCC services, and proposes an efficient implementation plan for a web-based UCC service that enables smooth access for them. Especially, the validity of the proposed method was verified by comparing the reaction time of the visually handicapped users with that when using the existing UCC services, through the implementation of the test page according to the plan proposed in this research.

  • The web trend has been flowed from portal site to user created contents site, recently. Therefore, many companies have suggested web program of producing contents for user's convenience. However, web applications that are operated in various web browsers and heterogeneous devices have many problems regarding distribution and management so far. Because of diverse one-source data formats. In this paper, we present an integrative displaying and distributing tool (IDD-Tool) for editing, distributing and managing multimedia contents and environment so that users can work. It is inspected that the tool is widely used in the fields of education, publication, corporations and etc. because a user can participates in contents producing easily in personal customized workplace with IDD-Tool and contents made by IDD-Tool are distributed.

  • This study aims to investigate the effects of UCC parody content trait on user attitude and e-word of mouth. The conventional methods had two identified factors: UCC content factors - trust, usefulness, and information, and parody content factors - humor, satire, and mockery. It also analyzes the impacts gap in UCC attitude between a high-involvement user and a low-involvement user in UCC contents. In this study, our findings are broadly summarized as follows: first, both trust and information, of UCC content factors, showed a positive impact on UCC attitude; second, both humor and satire, of parody content factors, showed a positive impact on UCC attitude; third, UCC attitude showed a positive impact on e-word of mouth, and both humor and satire were highly correlated to UCC attitude in UCC involvement user groups. In conclusion, this study is expected to give useful suggestions on selecting variables for further studies on UCC parody contents.
