An Empirical Study on Factors Affecting User Preference to Internet-based Search services (인터넷 포털 사이트의 검색 서비스 선호에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • 오늘날은 정보의 홍수라고 표현이 될 만큼 많은 양의 정보를 어디서나 얻을 수 있다. 이러한 많은 양의 정보 중 사람들은 그들이 필요한 정보를 얻기 위하여 인터넷을 사용하며 대부분의 사용자들이 포털 사이트의 검색 서비스를 통하여 그들이 원하는 정보를 검색하고 얻고 있다. 그러나 전통적인 여과 과정을 통해 검증된 인쇄 자원과는 다르게 인터넷상에 있는 자원은 대부분 여과되어 있다고 볼 수 없다. 인터넷상에서 발견되는 정보가 주로 여과되지 않은 상태라는 점을 이해하는 것도 정보를 얻는 사용자 입장에서 매우 중요하다. 그런 의미에서 웹에서는 제공되는 정보에 대한 선정, 조직화, 검색에 대한 표준화가 아직 없기 때문에, 단순히 웹 검색 엔진을 이용한 검색의 결과만을 통해서 원하는 정보를 찾는 것은 쉽 지가 않다(Spink et al, 1999). 비록 원하던 정보를 얻었다 해도 획득한 정보가 신뢰할 만한 것인지를 판단하기가 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 그러한 요구에 부응하기 위해 검색 서비스에 대한 사용자 선호 요인을 선별하고 설문 조사를 통해 검증하고자 한다. 본 연구는 크게 문헌 연구와 실증 연구로 구별되며, 실증 분석에서는 검색 서비스를 사용해 본 경험이 있는 인터넷 사용자를 대상으로 설문을 인터넷 사이트와 설문지를 배부하는 형식으로 진행하여, 통계 패키지를 이용 결과를 분석하였다. 문헌 연구에 따르면 인터넷 사이트를 사용하는데 있어서, 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 정보 품질, 서비스 연계성, 인지된 유용성, 흥미성, 시스템 품질, UI의 편의성이 있으며 본 연구에서도 이러한 요인을 중심으로 연구 모형을 정하였다. 이러한 요인들에 대하여 가설을 정해 실증 분석을 한 결과, 기본적으로 검색 서비스에 대한 인지된 유용성과 UI의 편의성은 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 정보 품질, 서비스 연계성, 흥미 성, 시스템 품질은 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 정보 품질과 시스템 품질의 결과는 유의 수준에서 크게 넘어가지 않는 결과가 나와 반드시 영향을 미치지 못하는 것은 아니라고 조사되었다. 본 연구는 검색 서비스라는 특정 서비스에 대해서 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대해서 알아보고자 하였다. 이는 학문적인 측면에서 기존의 통합적인 웹사이트 평가에 대한 연구의 확장을 가능케 하였고, 개인사용자 측면에서는 좀더 좋은 정보를 제공하는 검색 서비스에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있는 계기가 되었다고 할 수 있다.

Applying Rating Score's Reliability of Customers to Enhance Prediction Accuracy in Recommender System (추천 시스템의 예측 정확도 향상을 위한 고객 평가정보의 신뢰도 활용법)

  • On the internet, the rating scores assigned by customers are considered as the preference information of themselves and thus, these can be used efficiently in the customer profile generation process of recommender system. However, since anyone is free to assign a score that has a biased rating, using this without any filtering can exhibit a reliability problem. In this study, we suggest the methodology that measures the reliability of rating scores and then applies them to the customer profile creation process. Unlikely to some related studies which measure the reliability on the user level, we measure the reliability on the individual rating score level. Experimental results show that prediction accuracy of recommender system can be enhanced when ratings with higher reliability are selectively used for the customer profile configuration.

  • Using artificial neural network to use a search preference based on the user's information, the ranking of search results that will enable flexible searches can be improved. After trained in several different queries by other users in the past, the actual search results in order to better reflect the use of artificial neural networks to neural network learning. In order to change the weights constantly moving backward in the network to change weights of backpropagation algorithm. In this study, however, the initial training, performance data, look for increasing the number of lessons that can be overfitted. In this paper, we have optimized a lot of objects that have a strong advantage to apply genetic algorithms to the relevant page of the search rankings flexible as an object to the URL list on a random selection method is proposed for the study.

A Study on the Preference of Color by Genres of Smartphone Game (스마트폰 게임 장르별 색채 선호도 조사 연구)

  • While the period of 40 million smart phone users begins, mobile game has spread and evolved as quick as popularization of smart phone. Therefore, this study is written to help the improvement of a graphic image on a development of a game for a qualitative growth of a game market, and is to suggest a guideline of tone by genres, by measuring image or feeling of game genre targeting game users. As a result of study, more than 50% of adjectives game users wrote by genres corresponded. It means that tone game users prefer is relatively clear. Therefore, the researcher confirmed that it is possible to attempt the standardization of tome about genre, and suggested 3 kinds of tone and brightness of color by genres. The researcher hopes that this result of the study will help smooth color plan on a development of smart phone game, and that more diverse studies will be proceeded for a qualitative growth of a game market arriving at puberty.

A Study of Hospital Choice on the Basis of Consumption Values Theory (소비가치 이론에 의한 병원선택 요인 연구)

  • This research is based on the Consumption Values Theory proposed by Sheth(1991). The purpose of this research is finding the factors related to the process of hospital choice. The expectation of six hospital outpatients 600 was analyzed by six consumption values categories: functional value, social value, emotional value, rarity value, condition value, health related values. The main results of this research is as following; 1. In the result of factor analysis 22 consumption value factors which affect the hospital preference were extracted; kindness/clearness, service speed, comfort of space, technical competence in functional values, high income/active social life, low income/blue collar unmarried/man, middle aged/big family, woman/married, introvert in social values, high-class, comfort, reliability in emotional value, newness, classiness in rarity value, social relationship, close to residence, social reputation in conditional values, priority on health, health behavior, active sense of value on health in health related values. 2. The difference of consumption values among hospital types were analyzed. The critical factors in reference for corporate hospitals newly established were kindness/clearness, service speed, convenience, classiness, comfort, and newness. University hospitals were preferred by the factors of reliability, and social reputation. In general hospital, convenience and close to residence were critical factor. 3. In logistic regression, age, marital status, education level and income as socio-demographic variables were significantly related to general hospital choice. Also service speed and close to residence were positively and high income/active social life and high class value were negatively related to general hospital choice. On university hospital choice, age and marital status, education show posive relationship whereas income showing negative relationship. Kindness/clearness, service speed, comfort of space, unmarried/man, comfortable feeling, newness and close to residence showed negative relationship with university hospital selection whereas technical competence, reliability in emotional value, classiness in rarity value, social relationship in functional values showed positive relationship. Lastly kindness/clearness, comfort of space, high income/active social life, unmarried/man, high-class, comfort and newness were positively related to corporate hospitals newly established choice in contrast to negative relationship in reliability in emotional value and classiness. In summary, we found that hospital user also choose to hospital in base of various consumption value. Further studies to investigate the hospital consumer behavior will be needed.

Collaborative Filtering with Improved Quantification Process for Real-time Context Information (실시간 컨텍스트 정보의 정량화 단계를 개선한 협력적 필터링)

  • In general, recommendation systems quantify real-time context information obtained in the stage of collaborative filtering and use quantified context information in order to recommend services. But the recommendation systems can have problems of recommending inaccurate information because of lack of context information or classifying users into inaccurate groups because of simple classification works in the stage of quantification. In this paper, we solved the problems of lack of context information obtained in real-time by combining users' profile information used in the contents-based filtering and context information obtained in real-time. In addition, we tried collaborative filtering at the quantification stage by improving absolute classification methods to relative ones. As the result of experiments, this method improved prediction preference by 5.8% than real-time recommendation systems using context information in pure P2P environment.

  • In the 4G wireless environment, one of the important issues is to discover and select an access network suited for users. In this thesis, we propose a new network selection mechanism using group decision making and evaluate the effect of network selection schemes for vertical handover in heterogeneous wireless networks. We consider the group of users with similar QoS requirements search for the available access network simultaneously and a service area consist of multiple access networks with various characteristics. We divide the access networks with similar characteristics split into a group. Between each group, the one group is selected and within that group, the best access networks will be assigned according to priority order by network selection algorithm. We evaluate and compare the performance of three representative MADM schemes: GRA, SAW and TOPSIS. The MATLAB simulation results indicate the proposed algorithm can make a more effective choice according to the networks' characteristics and user's preference.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the change of visual stimulus of users to the space through the experiment of EEG and the satisfaction of users depends on the lighting. To do that, the results measured with EEG experiment focusing on Beta ${\beta}$ were compared to each other to figure out difference in the changes of the activation of human brain on lighting's situation as the lighting off and on in the same space. The difference in the results was verified according to the characteristic of users which classified with 4 types of the spatial sensitivities. The results of this study are as following. Firstly, the spacial sensitivity of user is to communicate well with the different senses with stimulus through interaction among the elements. At this time, the brain plays a major role in build the spacial sensitivity of users as the place to make form. Secondly, there are the differences in the activation of brain depends on lighting situation even in the same space. The stimulus into the brain became generally stronger in images with lighting on than off. Especially, the response in the occipital lobe which connected with the visual center turn out strongly in the image of 'modern natural'. Because the visual stimulus interact well with the bright color, the reflectional texture and the rough texture painted the dark color. Thirdly, the satisfaction of users changed with lighting in the space. But we could know that the satisfaction of users isn't be related to the visual stimulus through the results of this study. Finally, there isn't the difference in the activation degree of brain according to the characteristic which are preference of users into 4 types of the spatial sensitivity through the results came from ANCOVA(analysis of covariance) with SPSS Program 22.

A Parallel Sequence Extraction Algorithm for Generating Assembly BOM (조립 BOM 생성을 위한 병렬순서 추출 알고리듬)

  • Although assembly sequence planning is an essential task in assembly process planning, it is known as one of the most difficult and time consuming jobs because its complexity is increased geometrically when the number of parts in an assembly is increased. The purpose of this study is to develop a more efficient algorithm for generating assembly sequences automatically. By considering subassemblies, a new heuristic method generates a preferred parallel assembly sequence that can be used in robotic assembly systems. A parallel assembly sequence concept provides a new representation scheme for an assembly in which the assembly sequence precedence information is not required. After an user inputs both the directional mating relation information and the mating condition information, an assembly product is divided into subgroups if the product has cut-vertices. Then, a virtual disassembly process is executed to generate alternate parallel assembly sequences with intermediate assembly stability. Through searching parts relations in the virtual disassembly process, stable subassemblies are extracted from translation-free parts along disassembling directions and this extraction continues until no more subassemblies are existed. Also, the arithmetic mean parallelism formula as a preference criterion is adapted to select the best parallel assembly sequence among others. Finally a preferred parallel assembly sequence is converted to an assembly BOM structure. The results from this study can be utilized for developing CAAPP(Computer-Aided Assembly Process Planning) systems as an efficient assembly sequence planning algorithm.

An Efficient Processing Method of Top-k(g) Skyline Group Queries for Incomplete Data (불완전 데이터를 위한 효율적 Top-k(g) 스카이라인 그룹 질의 처리 기법)

  • Recently, there has been growing interest in skyline queries. Most of works for skyline queries assume that the data do not have null value. However, when we input data through the Web or with other different tools, there exist incomplete data with null values. As a result, several skyline processing techniques for incomplete data have been proposed. However, available skyline query techniques for incomplete data do not consider the environments that coexist complete data and incomplete data since these techniques deal with the incomplete data only. In this paper, we propose a novel skyline group processing technique which evaluates skyline queries for the environments that coexist complete data and incomplete data. To do this, we introduce the top-k(g) skyline group query which searches g skyline groups with respect to the user's dimensional preference. In our experimental study, we show efficiency of our proposed technique.
