Features of the Use of Computer Telecommunications In Education: Development Prospects

  • In the article, in connection with the goal and the hypothesis put forward, the following tasks were formulated: Based on the analysis of literature and existing pedagogical experience, the possibilities, features and pedagogical conditions for the use of educational telecommunication projects were specified. The selection of topics and content of educational telecommunication projects for use has been carried out. Research methods: theoretical analysis of psychological, pedagogical and methodological literature, projects of educational standards in computer science and information technology, study of the state of the problem in teaching practice, questioning.

컴퓨터 활용능력과 빈도의 종단적 패턴에 따른 학업성취도와 대학전공 선택 분석 (Analysis of Achievement and College Major Choice According to Longitudinal Pattern of Awareness of ICT Literacy and Frequency of Computer Use)

  • 정보사회에서 학습자가 자기주도적으로 학습을 수행하기 위해서 컴퓨터를 활용할 수 있는 능력은 중요하다. 실제로 컴퓨터를 활용할 수 있는 능력이 높은 학습자의 학업성취도가 어떠할지 분석할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 2010년-2018년에 시행한 서울교육종단연구의 1-9차년도 자료를 활용하여 컴퓨터 활용에 대한 인식과 빈도의 종단적 변화 패턴을 비모수 통계방식인 종단적 K-평균 군집(KML)을 통해 도출하고, 종단적 패턴에 따른 학업성취도를 분석하였다. 분석결과 컴퓨터 활용과 사용 빈도가 높은 종단적 패턴이 그렇지 않은 패턴에 비해 학업성취도가 높은 것으로 분석되었고, 고등학교 3학년의 대학전공 선택에서 컴퓨터 활용과 빈도가 높은 종단적 패턴이 공학계열을 선호하는 것으로 분석되었다.

초등학생의 컴퓨터 사용행태에 따른 VDT증후군 (VDT Syndrome according to the Types of Computer Use Among Elementary Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for prevention of VDT syndrome by confirming VDT syndrome according to the type of computer use. The subjects recruited for the research were 518 students who were in the 4, 5, 6 grades from 5 schools in Seoul. The data were collected during the period from October 8 through October 18, 2004. The results were as follows; 1. The mean value of the VDT syndrome was 1.55 (SD=.52) for the 5th graders. 2. The degrees of VDT syndrome according to the characteristics of the subjects shows higher scores for the 5th and 6th graders, boys, students with more than 4 online friends, students with a low degree of school life satisfaction, and for students with parents who had a negative attitude for their children. 3. The degree of VDT syndrome according to the type of computer use showed higher scores when the students used computers for game more than for study, more than 11 hours in a week, more than 2 hours at one time, not having any rest, in dark places, with the monitor less than 40 an distance from the eyes, sitting with their legs crossed and when the keyboard was in a higher position than their elbows. The internet absorbed group showed higher scores than the unabsorbed group. 4. There was positive correlation between the hours of computer use and VDT syndrome. Also, internet addiction and VDT syndrome had positive correlation. Therefore, each home and society needs to pay consistent attention to correct computer use by their students. Especially, schools will have to educate about computer utilization and VDT syndrome.

The Net Generation Debate: Unpacking Individual Perceptions and Lived Experiences toward Technology Use in Education

  • This study aims to examine individual perceptions and lived experiences of the Net generation of student teachers and the previous generation of teachers about their technology use in education. The participants of this study include 106 pre-service teachers and 50 in-service teachers from one teacher education university in Korea. Employing a mixed methodology, we first empirically examined the participants' perceptions toward multiple variables related to technology use in education, namely (a) past ICT experiences in schools, (b) personal computer use, (c) constructivist belief, (d) computer efficacy, (e) attitude toward computer in education, and (f) prospective computer use. In addition, we conducted face-to-face interviews with selected participants for the in-depth investigation of their lived experiences about technology use, beliefs, and attitude. Results indicate that there are significant differences between in-service and pre-service teachers in their prior experiences with technology in schools. However, the pre-service and in-service teachers did not differ significantly in their beliefs, attitude and other technology-related variables, which may indicate the danger of generational determinism in the Net Generation debate. The analysis of interview narratives revealed two major themes about the interplay of one's agency and structural changes in the participants' lived experiences with technology use in education: (a) transition from negative past experiences to opportunities for positive computer use, and (b) attitudes formation and change through apprenticeship experiences and structural influences. In conclusion, this study suggests that the Net Generation debate should move beyond dichotomous or techno-centric thinking. There is a critical need to pay more attention to develop deeper understandings of the fundamental diversity existing within the generation itself. Implications for teacher education are also discussed.

  • Computer Graphic design was developed for printed media and its way of expression has been progressed di\ulcornerversely. Especially, the practices of computer graphic are used in textile design enterprise. The use of computer graphics in courses of textile design was produced by various si$$\mu$ations of colors, size and shape in patterns. Then the completed textile was presented as photograph. This paper describes patterns of two dimensions, cloths of three dimensions in use of softwares-TIPS, LUMENCE, FREE STYLE andTOPAS. As mentioned above, we can design fashion with easy by using computer graphics.

  • The main purpose of the study is to identify the key aspects of the use of innovative distance learning technologies in the training of biology students. Currently, there is a modernization, the evolution of the education system from a classical university to a virtual one, from lecture material teaching to computer educational programs, from a book library to a computer one, from multi-volume paper encyclopedias to modern search databases. During studies in higher education, distance learning ensures the delivery of information in an interactive mode through the use of information and communication technologies. The main disadvantage of distance learning is the emotional interaction of the teacher with students. It is necessary to increase the level of methodological developments for independent studies of students. The methodology includes a number of theoretical methods. Based on the results of the study, the main elements of the use of innovative distance learning technologies in the training of biology students were identified.

대학생들의 컴퓨터 및 인터넷 이용 실태 (Using Status of Computer and Internet in University Students)

  • Purpose. The purpose of this study was to determine the using state of computers and internet in university students. Method. This research conducts a survey of 50 university students. Researcher personally visited lecture room to explain the purpose of research. The questionnaire was made by the researcher and consists of seven questions. Result. In this study, university students of 74% using computer more than one hour per day. The most of purpose of internet use was internet surfing and writing a document. University students of 42% were play games with internet. Conclusion. The continuous tracking is need of computer and internet use and need to be healthy for the use of guidance of university students.

  • Gaze detection is to find out the position on a monitor screen where a user is looking at, using the image processing and computer vision technology, We developed a computer interface system using the gaze detection technology, This system enables a user to control the computer system without using their hands. So this system will help the handicapped to use a computer and is also useful for the man whose hands are busy doing another job, especially in tasks in factory. For the practical use, command signal like mouse clicking is necessary and we used eye winking to give this command signal to the system.

  • 현대사회는 전자, 통신, 컴퓨터, 반도체 기술들의 비약적인 발전에 따른 고도의 정보통신과 정보처리에 기반을 둔 정보화 사회로 모든 업무가 컴퓨터에 의존하고 있는 실정이다. 또한 컴퓨터 네트워크와 데이터베이스의 이용 및 기술의 괄목할 만한 발전에 따라 수많은 사용자가 컴퓨터를 이용하여 동시에 자료를 수집, 검색, 처리, 전송, 저장할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 컴퓨터를 이용한 정보의 처리 및 사용이 편리해진 반면에 자료의 노출이 상대적으로 심해져, 비밀을 요하는 자료의 보안 문제가 대두되었다. 이에 따라 자료의 보안을 위하여 컴퓨터가 나오기 전의 방법과는 다른 컴퓨터를 이용한 새로운 암호 방법들이 제시되어 계속적으로 발전되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 향후 연구에 사용할 암호 알고리즘을 선택하기 위하여 관용 암호 알고리즘 중에서 DES와 3DES, 공개키 암호 알고리즘 중 RSA, 타원곡선 암호 알고리즘에 관하여 연구하였다.

의사결정트리 기반의 분석을 통한 청소년의 컴퓨터 사용 유형별 관련 변수 추출 (A Study of Extraction of Variables Affecting the Adolescents' Computer Use Type with Decision Tree)

  • 본 연구에서는 청소년의 컴퓨터 사용 유형별 관련변수의 추출 알고리즘 과정을 조사하였다. 이를 위해 한국청소년 패널 조사(KYPS)의 중 2패널의 1차년도 자료(총 3409명, 남: 1704명, 여: 1705명)를 활용하여 데이터마이닝의 의사결정트리분석을 하였다. 그 결과, 오락추구는 성별, 컴퓨터 사용시간, 비행친구 수, 부모감독, 주변문제아인식, 부모공부기대, 자아통제력, 교사애착, 형제자매사이 등, 관계추구는 성별, 사이버동아리 참여, 컴퓨터 사용시간, 자기신뢰, 온라인 비행 등, 정보추구는 학업에 대한 열중, 개인공부시간, 낙관적 성향, 학기 중 공부시간과 여가시간, 본인희망교육, 사이버동아리 참여, 자기신뢰, 주변사람들비난 등의 변수들이 조합되는 다양한 조건에 따라 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과로 청소년의 컴퓨터 사용과 관련된 다양한 조건들을 심층적으로 이해하고 컴퓨터를 좀 더 효율적으로 활용할 수 있음을 제언하였다.
