Software testing is an important phase as it ensures the software quality. The software testing process comprises of three steps: generation, execution, and evaluation of test cases. Literature claims the usage of single and multiple 'Unified Modeling Language' (UML) diagrams to generate test cases. Using multiple UML diagrams increases test case coverage. However, the existing approaches show limitations in test case generation from UML diagrams. Therefore, in this research study, we propose an approach to generate the test cases using UML State Chart Diagram (SCD), Activity Diagram (AD), and Sequence Diagram (SD). The proposed approach transforms UML diagrams into intermediate forms: SCD Graph, AD Graph, and SD Graph respectively. Furthermore, by integrating these three graphs, a System Testing Graph (STG) is formed. Finally, test cases are identified from STG by using a traversal algorithm such as Depth First Search (DFS) that is an optimization method. The results show that the proposed approach is better compared to existing approaches in terms of coverage and performance. Moreover, the generated test cases have the ability to detect faults at the unit level, integration, and system level testing.
Wastewater management is increasingly emphasizing economic and environmental sustainability. Traditional methods in sewage treatment plants have significant implications for the environment and the economy due to power and chemical consumption, and sludge generation. To address these challenges, a study was conducted to develop the Intermittent Cycle Extended Aeration System (ICEAS). This approach was implemented as the primary technique in a full-scale wastewater treatment facility, utilizing key operational factors within the standard Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) process. The optimal operational approach, identified in this study, was put into practice at the research facility from January 2020 to December 2022. By implementing management strategies within the biological reactor, it was shown that maintaining and reducing chemical quantities, sludge generation, power consumption, and related costs could yield economic benefits. Moreover, adapting operations to influent characteristics and seasonal conditions allowed for efficient blower operation, reducing unnecessary electricity consumption and ensuring proper dissolved oxygen levels. Despite annual increases in influent flow rate and concentration, this study demonstrated the ability to maintain and reduce sludge production, electricity consumption, and chemical usage. Additionally, systematic responses to emergencies and abnormal situations significantly contributed to economic, technical, and environmental benefits.
With the emergence and advancement of artificial intelligence, the world is rapidly changing. As artificial intelligence is applied across various fields of society, individuals must develop the ability to understand and effectively utilize it. Consequently, interest in AI literacy has been growing. This study was conducted to measure AI literacy among pre-service secondary school teachers. An online survey was administered to 105 students enrolled in the College of Education at A University. Data analysis included descriptive analysis, independent samples t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The results are as follows. First, an analysis of the mean differences in AI literacy sub-factors and overall scores by gender revealed that female pre-service teachers scored higher than males in AI understanding, AI usage, AI application, and AI literacy overall, with these differences being statistically significant. Second, based on the number of courses completed related to teaching methods, there were statistically significant differences in AI creation and AI identification. Specifically, pre-service teachers who had not completed any relevant courses scored lower in AI creation and AI identification compared to those who had completed at least one course. Third, the overall level of AI literacy among pre-service secondary school teachers was found to be relatively low. Based on these findings, implications for teacher education are discussed.

Artificial intelligence (AI) describes a variety of approaches in computer applications to mimic human learning. As this technology becomes increasingly prevalent, it is inevitable that it will enter the educational environment, as both an educational tool and topic of learning. STEM education, which deals with science, technology, engineering, and math, is perhaps the most appropriate educational field in which to introduce students to this new and rapidly growing technology. In recent years, educators, AI engineers, and educational researchers have published trial results of experimental curricula implementing AI technology in student and teacher education. This systematic literature review analyzed a sample of seven such publications to identify key trends in suggested best practices for the usage of AI in STEM classrooms. The sample was analyzed for keywords using MaxQDA. The results indicated three key trends among suggested best practices. The first was that AI is best taught to students when the technology itself is the topic of education. Another trend was that simulating real world applications of AI technology was most impactful in showing students the potential, limits, and ethical implications of AI. Finally, it was found that educator's familiarity with AI is an important factor in their ability to employ it in the classroom.

One of the most time consuming issues in a city development is the identification of suitable areas for urban infrastructures and proper land uses. Suitability analysis is the process and procedures to find the best available land in given area -that is, the ability of a system to select the needs of users in land use. This paper studied the usage of Geographic Information System technique and methods for the selection of the most appropriate sites for public park in the city of Gwangju. GIS was used as a standard technique to find the best available sites for development in urban areas. For this cause, digital elevation model and spatial data were used to produce different thematic layers by using software Idrisi. Criteria for finding the suitable site for park development were decided to evaluate the land and the followings 4 criteria were selected: on land with less than 3 degrees in slope, outside a 200m buffer around lakes, on land currently designated as forests, and 20ha or greater in size. To meet and measure each criterion, distance and context operators were applied to reclassify the importance of certain weight and Boolean images were generated to meet the criteria. These weights and maps has been combined using ArcGIS tools and the final map was prepared showing the most suitable sites. We may assist city planners and government officials in future development of public facilities including parks and related land use plans at urban level and act as to ensure proper land use planning and management of the urban areas.

The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of stress coping style, relationship ability, and self-esteem on smartphone addiction in nursing students and to provide data for the development of intervention programs for smartphone addiction. The data were collected from 169 nursing students and analyzed with t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression by using SPSS 21.0 program. The smartphone addiction risk was shown to be 32%. Significant risk factors for smartphone addiction were problem focused coping style ( =-3.278, p=.031), hopeful prediction ( =.117, p=.044), circles presence ( =2.744 p=.019), motive for smartphone usage ( =-1.122 p=.003), and average daily using time ( =2.975 p=.000). These factors explained 43.6% of the variance in smartphone addiction. In conclusion, the results from this study suggest the need for the development of an intervention program for smartphone addiction, with consideration to the factors affecting smartphone addiction outlined in this study

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of digital mathematics textbook on spatial abilities, interest and achievement of 6th graders. For this, research questions were set as follow: A. Is there any difference in cognitive ability in the space perception test between the experimental group and the control group. B. What distinctive attributes exist between the experimental group and the control group in the Spatial abilities? C. Is there any difference in learners' interest and achievement between the experiment group and the control group. To investigate the research questions, two classes of 6th grade children were selected from an elementary school in Daejeon and assigned one as experimental group and the other as control group. The experimental group studied mathematics using Digital Textbooks under an individual PC environment while the control group studied using the existing book-type textbooks. The following results and conclusions were obtained from the research. First, the effect of the Digital Textbooks on children's mathematics achievement was not statistically meaningful even though there was some progress in children's achievement. Furthermore, it was not found that the usage of a Digital Textbooks consistently influenced improvement in the students' interest in mathematics. Second, there were some positive changes in the achievement of Spatial ability of the middle subgroup of pretest score in the experiment group. It can have some educational implication that the Digital Textbooks can affect positively to the middle group in mathematics achievement who dominated more than 50% of the class. Third, the number of correct answers was found to be somewhat higher than that of the control group in spatial reasoning items. This means that the learning environment with Digital Textbooks allow more opportunities for manipulating geometric objects physically and mentally. Therefore, It seems necessary to offer various resources such as digital contents for students' geometric learning. For future research, It is strongly recommended to fix the bugs of the digital textbook programs and to upgrade the operating system of the computer.
Numerous studies have been made on the negative effects of online games, as the negatives effects of the usage of online games have been recognized as social issues. However, this is a study on the positive functions of online gaming; more specifically, on how the guild activities on online games affect the user's leadership. This study has conducted in-depth interviews with online games, and drew the result using Giorgi's phenomenological analysis as for the methodology. 3 people participated in the research - a high school student, a university student, and an adult office worker - all of whom with experiences of guild leading on online games. To achieve the goal of this study, this study based the subjects' experience to analyze how online game guild activities have affected leadership on the subjects' real lives. As a result, timidity turned into initiation; not only leadership, but also decision making ability and coworking ability, as well as problem solving ability have shown improvement. Through this study, one can see that among the elements of online game, experience in guild activities is providing opportunities for enhancing leadership and possibilities for improving various other abilities. I hope more researchers continue studying interesting and diverse powers of online games based on this study.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the determinants of employees' knowledge contribution to 'Easysam', the Defense Knowledge Sharing System(DKSS), and provide managers and system designers with implications for enhancing the usage of the DKSS. Although the system seems to be helpful for employees to conduct their tasks by sharing and applying knowledge from the system, use of the system is confined to restricted employees and little empirical, systematic research has been done for this area. Therefore, using the motivation opportunity ability theory of behavior, this study hypothesizes that motivation factors(enjoy helping, reward confirmation), opportunity factor(system accessibility), and ability factor(self-rated expertise, tenure in the field) increase the level of employees' knowledge contribution to the DKSS. This research also includes hypotheses which address the effect of system use voluntariness, a moderator, on the relationship between predictors described above and knowledge provision. Survey results show that the effect of enjoy helping, reward confirmation, self-rated expertise and system accessibility is significant on employees knowledge provision. However, tenure in the field has no influence on its contribution of knowledge to the system. Theoretical and practical implications are provided.
It is noted that generally speaking, the expressing of actualization or non-actualization of events is not the main role of possibility for the utilization of expressions. In spite of this fact, it is possible to see many examples in which possibility expressions represent actual events, and impossibility expressions represent a type of non-actualization in relation to events. This effect can be described as a semantic extension, by which the participant-internal possibility is extended to actualization due to participant-internal factors, and the participant-external possibility is extended to the actualization due to participant-external factors. When the related possibility expressions are used in this extended sense, they express the dynamic evaluative meaning of 'desirability' of the realized event, while it is determined that when the impossibility expressions are used in this extended sense, they are seen to express the evaluative meaning of 'regretfulness' about the non-actualization of the event. In Modern Japanese, it is noted that there are a few expressions of ability and possibility. They can be largely divided into four types of expressions, according to their origins or uses of expression, which are 'ability verbs', affixes '-れる/られる(-reru/rareru)', '-できる(-dekiru)', and '-得る(-eru)'. They can all express participant-internal possibility and participant-external non-deontic possibility. While 'ability verbs', affixes '-れる/られる' and '-できる' can express participant-external deontic possibility, '-得る' cannot. However, '-得る' is the only possible element to designate the event of a epistemic possibility. Also, the four types of expressions have the usage of conveying 'actualization/non-actualization,' as is the case of the Korean language. However in Japanese, in fact adjectives cannot be associated with 'ability verbs' or 'ability affixes.' Thus the expressions of 'regrets' should in that case depend on the use contexts, unlike the expression 'adj+-지 못하다' as noted in Korean. The ability and possibility in Modern Chinese are mainly expressed by means of the four auxiliary verbs '能($n{\acute{e}}ng$)', '会(huì)', '可以(kěyǐ)' and '可能 ($k{\check{e}}n{\acute{e}}ng$)'. '能' and '会' along with '可以' can all convey participant-internal possibility. In this way '能' and '可以' can express participant-external possibility. Only '会' and '可能' can express epistemic possibility. As for 'actualization,' among the four auxiliary verbs, only '能' can represent actualization. Also, among the negatives of the four auxiliary verbs, only '沒能' can represent non-actualization.
