A spatial decision making process is needed when a local government tries to make polices and plans for eco-tourism in urban and regional site scale. This study aimed to suggest an assessment model to support spatial decision making on planning and making polices for eco-tourism. The model composes 6 stages of 'setting up ecogeographic territories'. 'value analysis method as ecotourism resources' 'synthetic assessing', 'grading values', 'selecting main resources for ecotourism' and 'spatial decision making support'. Applying the model to Shiheung city in Kyounggi province, validity was secured. By using the model, it was possible to make some decisions effectively such as selection of ecotourism resources, decision of the priorities of polices for ecotourism, and setting up the type of ecotourism to be introduced. In addition, by visualizing high valued resources and areas for ecotourism it w possible to support to make plans and policies effectively.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the determinant factors of visitors' satisfaction and behavioral intentions to the Shincheon stream in Daegu city. It was found that ecology of the Shincheon stream, signals about ecology, and physical facilities positively influenced overall satisfaction. Physical facilities more positively influenced overall satisfaction. The overall satisfaction positively influenced behavioral intentions. For the future studies, it is necessary to do research visitors' satisfaction with more diverse factors of satisfaction and longitudinal studies about visitors' satisfaction based on seasonally different visitors.

In spite of the government policies and incentives to revitalize rural areas, we still have a lot of problems such as the environmental degradation in rural areas, widening gap in living conditions between urban and rural areas, and decreasing rural populations. This paper aims to suggest a new planning model for ecotourism based rural villages and develop a village revitalization plan for Jangwha-ri in Gangwha Island. The new model emphasizes sustainable development based on local indigenous resources and resident initiatives.
