단위오염도틀 이용한 하천 오염물질의 이동시간과 종확산 예측 (Prediction of Travel Time and Longitudinal Dispersion for Water Pollutant by Using Unit Concentration Response Function)

  • 본 연구에서는 자료수집과 적용에 상당한 시간과 노력이 요구되는 기존의 수치모형들 대신에 최소한의 유역정보를 이용해 오염물질의 이동시간과 확산을 예측할 수 있는 방법을 제시하고자 하였다. 즉, 하천에서 오염물질의 이동속도, 시간에 따른 오염물질의 첨두농도, 오염물질이 하천의 한 점을 통과하는데 소요되는 시간장경 등의 요소들을 이용한 단위오염도의 개념을 도입하였으며, 이들 요소들의 추정을 위해서는 미국 내의 수많은 하천을 대상으로 개발된 회귀방정식을 이용하였다. 본 연구에서는 낙동강 본류 성서공단에서 1994년 6월 30일에 발생한 디클로로메탄 누출사고에 대해 회귀방정식으로 단위오염도의 요소들을 추정하고, 이를 적용하여 오염물질의 이동시간과 확산을 예측하였으며, QUAL2E모형을 이용해 얻은 결과와 비교분석하였다. 회귀방정식과 QUAL2E 모형으로 모의한 결과, 두 모형 모두 모의치가 관측치와 비교적 잘 일치하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 간편하게 오염물질의 이동시간과 농도를 예측할 수 있는 회귀방정식에 의한 단위오염도는 유역정보가 부족한 유역에서 적용성이 뛰어날 것으로 사료된다.

  • 침투효과과 큰 산지 소유역은 사면류가 유역내의 주된 흐름이 되며, 강우일유출의 수문응답은 사면길이의 분포특성으로 나타낼 수 있다. 유역의 지형특성은 홍수도달시간으로 표현되며, 홍수도달시간에 확률밀도함수를 적용시키면, 강우, 유출의 응답함수인 순간단위도를 구성할 수 있다. 서면길이와 관측된 홍수도달시간의 확률분포를 비교해 본 결과 형상계수가 거의 일치하였다. 이는 서면의 특성이 도달시간으로 집약되어 나타나는 것을 의미하며, 서면의 특성치로서 유출에 대한 응답함수를 구성할 수 있음을 나타낸다. 특히, 유역내 유출의 평균화를 시도하기 위해서 소류역내 분수계르르 기준으로 다수의 분할 소구역으로 나누어 전체소유역과 분할소구역의 서면특성치를 비교 분석하였다. 응답함수에 의해 유도되는 직접유출수문곡선을 유효강우량의 산정 방법에 따라 그 재현정도가 달라진다. 본 논문에서는 Horton의 침투 eq.을 이용 기본 방정식을 재구성하였고, $\Phi$-index 법과 직접유출수문곡선의 재현성을 비교 검토하였다.

UV공정을 이용한 NDMA처리 통계적 최적화 연구 (The Study of Statistical Optimization of NDMA Treatment using UV-Process)

  • The aim of this research was to apply experimental design methodology to optimizetion the photolytic degradation of N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA). Reactions were mathematically described as a function of parameters such as pH, initial NDMA concentration, and UV intensity using the Box-Behnken method. The results showed that the responses of NDMA removal (%) in photolysis were significantly affected by the synergistic effect of linear term of pH, initial NDMA concentration and UV intensity. The application of Response Surfase Methodology (RSM) using the Box-Behnken method yielded the following regression equation, which is an empirical relationship between the removal (%) of NDMA and test variables in coded unit: Y = 50.929 + 16.073(UV) - 7.909(NDMA) - 27.432(pH) - 11.385(UV)(NDMA) - 7.363(UV)(pH) +13.811(NDMA)(pH). The model predictions agreed well with the experimentally observed result ($R_2(ad.)=89%$).

응답함수를 이용한 해저처분장의 방벽에 대한 핵종전달 모델 (A Nuclide Transfer Model for Barriers of the Seabed Repository Using Response Function)

  • 해저에 건설된 방사성폐기물 처분장 방벽에서 핵 종 전달을 평가할 수 있는 한 모델이 제시되었다. 방벽의 출구에서의 물질전달계수와 각 방벽에 대하여 정의된 방벽응답함수를 이용하여 이들 방벽으로부터의 핵종의 전달률을 구할 수 있다. 이러한 접근은 단순하고 즉각적인 계산결과가보수적인 측면에서 요구되어지는 경우 방벽들을 연속된 별개의 매질로 다루어 각각의 응답함수를 적용할 수 있기 때문에 유용하다. 단점으로는 인접한 두 방벽사이에서, 이전의 방벽으로부터의 핵종의 유출율이 연속되는 방벽으로의 유입율로 되어 핵종속은 보존되는 반면 핵종의 농도는 반드시 보존되지는 않는다는 것으로, 이는 두 방벽 매질의 경계에서 핵종전달저항이 없다고 가정할 수 있는 것으로 해결될 수 있다. 물질전달계수는 방벽의 출구 쪽 경계에서의 핵 종의 농도가 일정하다고 보아 구할 수 있고, 매질의 응답함수는 각 방벽에 대하여 핵종의 단위 펄스입력에 대해 경계에서의 농도에 대한 해를 구한 후 물질전달계수를 적용하여 얻을 수 있다. 이리하여 한 방벽매질에 대한 시간 종속적인 핵종의 총전달률은 응답함수에 이전의 방벽에 대해 계산된 핵종의 전달률을 컨볼루트하여 구할 수 있다.

중심합성설계와 반응표면분석법을 이용한 수처리용 산소-플라즈마와 공기-플라즈마 공정의 최적화 (Optimization of Air-plasma and Oxygen-plasma Process for Water Treatment Using Central Composite Design and Response Surface Methodology)

  • This study investigated the application of experimental design methodology to optimization of conditions of air-plasma and oxygen-plasma oxidation of N, N-Dimethyl-4-nitrosoaniline (RNO). The reactions of RNO degradation were described as a function of the parameters of voltage ($X_1$), gas flow rate ($X_2$) and initial RNO concentration ($X_3$) and modeled by the use of the central composite design. In pre-test, RNO degradation of the oxygen-plasma was higher than that of the air-plasma though low voltage and gas flow rate. The application of response surface methodology (RSM) yielded the following regression equation, which is an empirical relationship between the RNO removal efficiency and test variables in a coded unit: RNO removal efficiency (%) = $86.06\;+\;5.00X_1\;+\;14.19X_2\;-\;8.08X_3\;+\;3.63X_1X_2\;-\;7.66X_2^2$ (air-plasma); RNO removal efficiency (%) = $88.06\;+\;4.18X_1\;+\;2.25X_2\;-\;4.91X_3\;+\;2.35X_1X_3\;+\;2.66X_1^2\;+\;1.72X_3^2$ (oxygen-plasma). In analysis of the main effect, air flow rate and initial RNO concentration were most important factor on RNO degradation in air-plasma and oxygen-plasma, respectively. Optimized conditions under specified range were obtained for the highest desirability at voltage 152.37 V, 135.49 V voltage and 5.79 L/min, 2.82 L/min gas flow rate and 25.65 mg/L, 34.94 mg/L initial RNO concentration for air-plasma and oxygen-plasma, respectively.

무기억 균일 신호원에 대한 수리 형태론적인 불림과 등가 시스템의 통계적 비교 (Statistical comparison of morphological dilation with its equivalent linear shift-invariant system:case of memoryless uniform soruces)

  • This paper presents a linear shift-invariant system euqivalent to morphological dilation for a memoryless uniform source in the sense of the power spectral density function, and comares it with dialtion. This equivalent LSI system is found through spectral decomposition and, for dilation and with windwo size L, it is shown to be a finite impulse response filter composed of L-1 delays, L multipliers and three adders. Th ecoefficients of the equivalent systems are tabulated. The comparisons of dilation and its equivalent LSI system show that probability density functions of the output sequences of the two systems are quite different. In particular, the probability density functon from dilation of an independent and identically distributed uniform source over the unit interval (0, 1) shows heavy probability in around 1, while that from the equivalent LSI system shows probability concentration around themean vlaue and symmetricity about it. This difference is due to the fact that dilation is a non-linear process while the equivalent system is linear and shift-ivariant. In the case that dikation is fabored over LSI filters in subjective perforance tests, one of the factors can be traced to this difference in the probability distribution.

도시홍수예경보를 위한 shot noise process 기반 강우-유출 모형 개발 (Development of a shot noise process based rainfall-runoff model for urban flood warning system)

  • 본 연구에서는 도시유역에서의 실시간 홍수예경보 목적으로 shot noise process 기반의 강우-유출모형을 제안하였다. 제안된 모형은 각 소유역 별 첨두치, 감쇄상수 및 지체시간으로 결정되는 shot noise의 합으로 표현되며, 기존 강우-유출 모형과는 달리 각 소유역 별 유출량이 독립적으로 유역 출구에 도달하는 구조를 가지고 있다. 제안된 모형의 매개변수는 통상 경험식을 가지고 결정하는 소유역의 집중시간과 저류상수 및 관로에서의 도달시간과 저류상수를 이용하여 쉽게 결정될 수 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구에서 제안된 모형은 중동 빗물펌프장 배수유역, 구로1 빗물펌프장 배수유역, 대림2 빗물펌프장 배수유역에서 관측된 총 3개의 호우사상에 적용하여 그 성능을 평가하였다. 그 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. (1) 본 연구에서 제안된 shot noise process 기반 단위 응답함수는 기존 단위 응답함수와 달리 강우 지속기간에 관계없이 동일한 모양을 갖는다. (2) 제안된 모형의 특성상 강우의 시간간격이 짧을수록 수렴된 결과를 얻을 수 있다. 따라서 도시유역의 특성을 감안할 때 1분이 가장 적절한 것으로 판단된다. (3) Shot noise process 기반 1분 단위 응답함수를 실제 호우사상에 적용하여 유출해석을 수행한 결과, 모의된 유출 수문곡선과 관측 값이 매우 유사한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 도시유역에서의 유출해석을 수행하는데 있어 제안된 유출모형이 충분한 적용성이 있다는 것을 보여준다.

전자빔 공정을 이용한 1,4-Dioxane 처리의 통계적 최적화 연구 (The Study of Statistical Optimization of 1,4-dioxane Treatment Using E-beam Process)

  • 본 연구의 목표는 전자빔공정을 통한 1,4-dioxane 처리의 최적화를 이루기 위해 실험계획법을 적용하는 것이다. 주요 인자를 1,4-dioxane removal efficiencies(%), TOC removal efficiencies(%)로 반응표면분석법(RSM) 중 중심합성실험법을 이용하여 수학적으로 표시하였다. 1,4-dioxane의 농도를 "$x_1$", Irradiation intensity를 "$x_2$"로 지정하였다. 1,4-dioxane 농도와 removal efficiencies(%)의 코드화된 회귀방정식은 $y=71.00-10.85x_1+20.67x_2+{1.53x_1}^2-{7.92x_2}^2-1.23x_1x_2$, 1,4-dioxane 농도와 TOC Removal efficiencies(%)의 코드화된 회귀방정식은 $y=44.48-13.25x_1+9.54x_2+{5.43x_1}^2-{1.35x_2}^2+4.45x_1x_2$로 나타났다. 모델 예측식의 $R^2$(Adj.)가 90%이상으로 실험적인 관찰결과 잘 맞는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 조류 Pseudokirchneriella Subcapitata를 이용하여 전자빔에 의한 1,4-dioxane에 대한 독성평가를 실시한 결과 전자빔 조사선량의 증가에 따라 생물학적 방해영향이 저감되었다.

Proteome analysis of roots of sorghum under copper stress

  • Sorghum bicolor is considered as copper-tolerant species. The present study was conducted to understand the copper tolerance mechanism in Sorghum seedling roots. Morphological and effects of Cu on other interacting ions were observed prominently in the roots when the plants were subjected to different concentrations (0, 50, and $100{\mu}M$) of $CuSO_4$. However, the morphological characteristics were reduced by Cu stress, and the most significant growth inhibition was observed in plants treated with the highest concentration of $Cu^{2+}$ ions ($100{\mu}M$). In the proteome analysis, high-throughput two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis coupled with MALDI-TOF-TOF mass spectrometry was performed to explore the molecular responses of Cu-induced sorghum seedling roots. In two-dimensional silver-stained gels, a total of 422 differentially expressed proteins (${\geq}1.5-fold$) were identified using Progenesis SameSpot software. A total of 21 protein spots (${\geq}1.5-fold$) from Cu-induced sorghum roots were analyzed by mass spectrometry. Of the 21 differentially expressed protein spots from Cu-induced sorghum roots, a total of 10 proteins were up-regulated, and 11 proteins were down-regulated. The abundance of the most identified protein species from the roots that function in stress response and metabolism was significantly enhanced, while protein species involved in transcription and regulation were severely reduced. The results obtained from the present study may provide insights into the tolerance mechanism of seedling roots in Sorghum.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer.
