Astrochemistry is a tool to understand the physical processes occurring in the interstellar medium in a variety of astrophysical environments. Many ALMA sciences are utilizing our knowledge of astrochemistry, which has grown explosively in recent years thanks to sensitive observations and laboratory work. We will review the ALMA sciences employing astrochemistry and discuss how astrochemistry can serve to answer some unique astrophysical questions.

We describe a unique process based on colloidal self-assembly that results in a uniform (almost hexagonally close-packed) layer of liquid crystal domains over large areas leading to single-substrate cholesteric LCDs with low switching voltages, excellent contrast, and high brightness. Extension to guest-host LCDs is also discussed.

TAC film is an indispensable optical component that protects the polarizing PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) film from being deteriorated and gives high durability, due to its unique features. The newly developed technology of controlling the birefringence of TAC film, together with the coating technology of a discotic material layer, enables excellent viewing angle characteristics and a cost-effective roll-to-roll polarizer manufacturing process.

In this study, a design method to obtain a robust optimal regulator for linear multivariable system is presented. When assigning eigenvalues of linear multivatiable system , the feedback gain is not unique. So we can assign robustness index to optimality so that we can fully use the remained degree of freedom.

There are some 1,000 natural caves in Korea. Most caves on the mainland are made of limestone, whereas most of the caves on Cheju Island are volcanic in origin. The caves on Cheju, in particular, are internally renowned for their huge size and scientific value. By contrast, the caves on the mainland are not as big, but their unique shapes and formations still attract the attention of international speleologists.(omitted)

On the setting of the upper half-space of the euclidean n-space, we study some properties of harmonic little Bloch functions and we show that for a given harmonic little Bloch function $u$, there exists unique harmonic conjugates of $u$, which are also little Bloch functions with appropriate norm bounds.

We study decay estimates of the energy for the nonlinear wave equation in the whole space. We note that the method of proof is based on the multiplier technique and on the unique continuation, and no geometrical condition is imposed on the boundary.
