국민들의 생활수준과 삶에 대한 기대 수준이 높아지면서 첨단 기술을 도시에 적용함으로써 생활의 편리성과 안전성을 높이고 자 하는 요구가 점차 확대되고 있다. 이에 따라 최첨단 정보통신기술이 융합된 유비쿼터스 도시가 다가오는 미래도시의 유력한 대안으로 보고 국가 차원의 대규모 사업이 이루어지고 있다. 국가 재난관리를 위해서 재난 분야별 방재에 대한 준비가 어느 정도 되어 있는지 대응역량을 점검하여 부족한 분야에 대해 해결방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 본 연구 결과 현재의 재난 분야별 대응역량이 어느 정도 차이가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 재난 분야별, 단계별 대응역량이 부족한 분야에 대해서 정책적 제언과 유비쿼터스 시대를 맞이하여 기존의 재난관리 방식보다는 유비쿼터스 기술 접목한 새로운 패러다임의 방재시스템 구축을 제안하고자 한다.

본 연구는 전통적인 방식으로부터 U-Learning으로 학습 패러다임을 전환하는 효과 및 가능성을 검토하고 제안하기 위한 것이며, E-Learning으로부터 M-Learning 및 U-Learning으로의 교수법 플랫폼 전환을 고려하기 위한 것이다. 개인별 학습 프로세스에 학습 환경이 어떤 영향을 미치는가에 대한 적절한 연구없이는 양질의 교육을 제공하기 어려울 것이다. 현대는 언제 어디서나 교육을 받을 수 있는 새로운 학습 환경 시대를 맞이하고 있으며, 누구나 평생교육을 받을 수 있게 되었다. 이러한 경향의 장점을 최대화하고, 양질의 교육을 진행하기 위한 제한 사항들을 확인하여야 하는데, 이들 요소들은 U-Learning 및 이를 가능하게 하는 기술과 함께 논의되어야 한다. 보급교육 혹은 평생교육은 많은 연구기관의 관심을 받고 있는바, 본 논문에서는 학습 모드 및 학습 양상의 유형에 대한 논의도 포함하였다.

RFID is going to be the core technology for contact-less information transfer means in the era of ubiquitous. Up until recent days, the RFID didn't fit to be used in outdoor environment due to the fact that it was developed for logistics which does not require stability in outdoor. But recently, requests for the RFID to be used in the outdoor environment have increased, and this laid the foundation for the development of outdoor tags, including MetalTag, which can be utilized in many different ways. In this research, to provide information on the control point using the RFID at the sight, RFID tags, which can place at the control point, and PDA based system were developed.

Issues of ferroelectric high-density memories (>64 Mb) indispensable for upcoming ubiquitous era have been on the cell integration less than $0.1\;\mu\textrm{m}^2$ and reliabilities. Thus nanoscale control of microstructures of ferroelectric films with large switching polarization has been one of the issues to obtain the uniform electrical properties for realization of high-density memories. In this study the grain orientations and distributions of BT-based films by spin-on coatings were examined by FEG-SEM/EBSD. Ferroelectric domain characteristics by PFM were also performed to study the dependence of reliabilities on the grain orientations and distributions. It is believed that understandings of the nucleation and growth mechanisms of the a- or b-axis oriented films during the thermal processes such as RTA and furnace annealing affecting on grain orientation and uniformity could be possible based on our experimental results.

In the era of the internet and ubiquitous computing, IS users are still facing a variety of threats. Therefore, a need of more tightened information security service increases unprecedentedly. In this sense, this study is aimed at proposing a new research model in which IT assets (i.e., network, system, and information influence) Security and Information Security Service (i.e., confidentiality, integrity, nonrepudiation, authentication) affect information security quality positively, leading to users' satisfaction eventually. To prove the validity of the proposed research model, PLS analysis is applied with valid 177 questionnaires. Results reveal that both IT assets Security and Information Security Service influence informations security qualify positively, and user satisfaction as well. From the results, it can be concluded that Korean government's recent orchestrated efforts to boost the IT assets Security and Information Security Service helped great improve the information security quality and user satisfaction.

Effectiveness and its possibility of ELA (Excimer Laser Annealing) for advanced Si TFT system on insulator are described. Currently, extensive study is carried out to realize an advanced SoG (System on Glass) based on LTPS (Low Temperature Poly-Si) technique. By reducing further the process temperature and by improving the fabrication process of LTPS, addressing TFT circuits for FPD (Flat Panel Display) can be mounted onto a flexible plastic as well as onto a glass substrate. Functional devices on the insulating panels are developed to be formed by using ELA. Although technical issues are remained for the fabrication process, Si transistors including 3D TFT structure formed by ELA is expected as a functional Si system on insulator in the ubiquitous IT era.

People want to control various facilities regardless location in ubiquitous era. Therefore we have a various devices embedded wireless functions. In this paper we implement a control program in a PDA that used Wireless LAN among wireless protocols. The objectives of this paper are: The first, to make a control program in server and a wireless client (PDA) using WLAN. The second, to implement smart home model. The third, to propose useful functions in home controls.

The purpose of this paper is to study a framework on building and continuing consumer trust in mobile travel and tourism content (M-TTC). Trust development life cycle in e-commerce is a trust-oriented building flow of online consumer. Travel information and content in mobile commerce is a initiative and immature step in the ubiquitous era. Travel and tourism industry is information intensive and network business between the bricks and clicks, the public and private, and the virtual and physical. A framework of travel and tourism content in m-commerce based on Siau and Shen (2003) and in perspective of information cities by Ferguson, et al. (2004) proposes conceptual components to build information and content for continuous consumer trust. The main results of the paper by focus group research methodology focus on building a conceptual m-trust model of mobile content in travel and tourism industry. Additionally, it shows what the important factor is and how the trustworthy improves continuously to the public, mobile vendors, and technological aspects.

For supporting digital media. contents and media devices have been converging Digital contents convergence has been proceeding rapidly in media, broadcast and communication field. And also, whole Environment for these industries has been changing, too. Wee need another digital contents convergence for new type of products and services because of convergence of IT and broadcast. In addition, new business trends is very important about these new industrial change and developments with digital contents convergence.

As one of core technologies in ubiquitous era, interest and application of RFID is increasing. Although its' applications has been developed in various areas, actual application rate is still underestimated. Previous studies show that most of researches are focused on RFID implementation strategies, emphasizing technical advantages and benefits of RFID. To increase RFID adoption rate, however, end user's attitude about information technology has to be considered. The empirical study has been conducted to analyze user's influential factors which affect the RFID adoption. The results show that some of user's attitude about IT are valid and provide useful guide lines about RFID adoption.
