홈네트워크 및 유비쿼터스 환경 도래로 인하여 디지털 기기의 데이터량이 급증하고 있고 이에 따라 가정 내 저장공간이 요구된다. 본 논문은 다양한 디지털 기술의 융합을 통한 홈 네트워크 기반의 능동형 미디어 스토리지 개발에 관한 내용을 고찰한다. 연구/개발된 능동형 미디어 스토리지는 SDP와 연동하여 홈네트워킹에 필요한 정보를 저장하여 SDP가 요구하는 정보를 어플리케이션에 따라 다르게 처리한다. 또한 멀티미디어 데이터를 로컬 네트워크 상에 최적화하여 어플리케이션에 제공한다. 또한 가정 내 디지털 기기의 정보저장 허브 역할을 수행한다.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 사회의 보안기술에 대한 적절한 정의가 필요하고 유비쿼터스 컴퓨터 환경을 신뢰하고 안전하게 사용할 수 있고 활성화하기 위한 환경을 만드는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경 내 개인정보의 중요성 및 특징, 피해현황, 해외 개인정보 동향, 개인정보의 침해 기술 개인정보 보호 기술에 대하여 검토하고 정보보호 구현방안을 검토한다.

The study for ubiquitous computing infra is proceeding actively, it make possible to use service and access network anywhere, anytime because of wire/wireless communication technology and progress of hardware. Domestically, study for the network mobility support technology which is the key technology for future ubiquitous computing realization have progressed, but that is insufficient. Especially, there is no study for independent mobility support study about railway wireless network. So, this study propose network mobility management technology for mobile network infra in railway and proper network model in train.

최근 급속하게 발달하고 있는 컴퓨터 네트워크와 인터넷을 기반으로 시간과 공간적인 제약에 구애받지 않고 지능적인 서비스를 수행하기 위한 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅(Ubiquitous Computing)이 등장하였다. 이러한 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 가능하게 하는 핵심 기술로 물리 적 객체에 부착된 태그의 정보를 무선 주파수를 통하여 처리하는 RFID(Radio Frequency Identification : 무선 주파수 식별) 기술이 주목받고 있다. 그러나 현재 RFID 관련 연구는 태그와 리더에 관련된 하드웨어적인 연구들만 활발하게 진행되고 있고, 실제 이를 서비스하기 위한 소프트웨어 기술과 관련된 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 핵심 기술로 주목 받고 있는 RFID응용 서비스를 효율적으로 처리 할 수 있는 소프트웨어 아키텍처에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 먼저 기존에 제안된 EPC 네트워크 아키텍처와 어플리케이션 개발 및 통합에 이용되는 개념적인 어플리케이션 아키텍처들의 특징을 비교 및 분석하고 각각의 아키텍처들이 가지고 있는 장 단점을 기반으로 새로운 아키텍처를 제안하였다.

In developing the ubiquitous computing technology based services (ubiquitous services), evaluating how much value of those services is created or added is very crucial. The efforts to evaluate the ubiquitous services have been progressed in two perspectives - technical perspective and behavioral perspective. Despite its importance, however, the methodologies which integrate both perspectives have been still very rare. Hence, this paper aims perspectives have been still very rare. Hence, this paper aims to propose an integrated ubiquitous service valuation methodology based on the multi-layered approach including technical and behavioral perspectives. To do so, we conducted a case study with currently existing location based service (LBS) such as navigation systems by conducting focus group interview (FGI) and field survey.

컴퓨팅 서비스가 언제 어디서나 이용 가능한 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경을 구축하기 위해 해결해야하는 문제 중 하나는 다양한 특성의 서비스들을 어떻게 효과적으로 제공하고 이를 관리하느냐는 점이다. 기존에 제안된 유비쿼터스 서비스 제공 시스템은 특정 종류의 서비스만을 지원하는데 중점을 두고 있다. 또한 상황과 서비스의 관계 표현 방법이 복잡해 다양한 사용자가 생활하는 복잡한 공간에서 서비스를 제공하는데 어려움이 있다. 본 논문은 이런 문제에 대한 해결 방안으로 Personal Kiosk (PK) 모델을 제안한다. PK는 모바일 단말기를 통해 사용자가 언제 어디서나 유용한 서비스를 사용할 수 있게 해주는 것을 목표로 하는 유비쿼터스 서비스 모델이다. 현재 단계의 PK는 로컬지역을 대상으로 연구되고 있다. 본 논문은 로컬지역에 PK 모델을 구현하기 위해 필요한 실내에서의 정밀한 위치인식기법과 효과적인 서비스 발견기법을 설명하며 이를 바탕으로 사용자의 위치, 권한, 시간정보를 이용해 개인화된 서비스를 제공하는 방법을 설명한다. PK 모델은 서비스를 이용하기 위해 소모되는 사용자의 노력과 시간을 크게 감소시켜 보다 편리한 모바일 서비스 환경을 구축할 수 있게 한다.

The purpose of this study is to predict promising Location Based Services under an ubiquitous environment based on their technical characteristics, which is strongly required in rapidly changing circumstances with ubiquitous computing and Broadband Convergence Network (BcN). To begin with, this study proposes a classification scheme of ubiquitous services and defines five technology factors required for ubiquitous services. Next, this study collects a number of ubiquitous services from previous researches and classified them according to the classification scheme of ubiquitous services. And then, technical importance of the collected ubiquitous services are evaluated in terms of technology factors by using service-technology metrics. Finally, a set of important Location Based Services under ubiquitous environments and the correlations between technology factors are identified by using the evaluation results.

This paper aims to describe how the decision making capability and context-aware computing are jointly used to establish ubiquitous applications. An amended DSS paradigm: CKDDM is proposed in this paper. Under the CKDDM paradigm, a framework of ubiquitous decision support systems (ubiDSS) is addressed with the description of the subsystems within.
