  • So far, many researches have been conducted in the area of audio based context recognition. Nevertheless, most of them are based on existing feature extraction techniques derived from linear signal processing such as Fourier transform, wavelet transform, linear prediction... Meanwhile, environmental audio signal may potentially contains non-linear dynamic properties. Therefore, it is a big potential to utilize non-linear dynamic signal processing techniques in audio based context recognition.

  • In this paper, we propose a design and implementation of Home Network Middleware which offer integrated service of electronic products. Most senior nations setting to core paradigm to ubiquitous computing techniques and effort to get the novel information and making more power about information techniques. But, they don't have a skill to Home Network Middleware in electronic products. It is a more important in Home Network Middleware. So, we will try to study about Home Network Middleware skill. And suggest to proposition that is a novel Home Network Middleware.

  • This survey paper explores the application of multimodal feedback in automated systems for motor learning. In this paper, we review the findings shown in recent studies in this field using rehabilitation and various motor training scenarios as context. We discuss popular feedback delivery and sensing mechanisms for motion capture and processing in terms of requirements, benefits, and limitations. The selection of modalities is presented via our having reviewed the best-practice approaches for each modality relative to motor task complexity with example implementations in recent work. We summarize the advantages and disadvantages of several approaches for integrating modalities in terms of fusion and frequency of feedback during motor tasks. Finally, we review the limitations of perceptual bandwidth and provide an evaluation of the information transfer for each modality.

  • The spread of mobile devices, PDAs and sensors has enabled the construction of ubiquitous computing environments, transforming regular physical spaces into 'smart space' augmented with intelligence and enhanced with services. However, unless privacy concerns are taken into account early in the design process of various ubiquitous devices(e.g. mobile devices, PDAs, sensors, etc.). we will end up crating ubiquitous surveillance infrastructure. Also, it may inappropriate to use public key techniques for computational constrained devices in ubiquitous computing environment. In this paper, we propose efficient user authentication and ky agreement protocol not only to preserve anonymity for protecting personal privacy but also to be suitable for computational constrained devices in ubiquitous computing environments.

  • This study aims to design a digital portfolio assessment system in ubiquitous computing(DPASUbi). To achieve that goal, the following issues were worked: Review of various theoretical discussions on portfolio and an analysis of existing programs to select elements to be included in the DPASUbi. Educational evaluation scenarios for the DPASUbi were developed based on the elements. The system was designed on reflecting these elements, that is, learning activities, assessment and usage of portfolio, ubiquitous technology and database. This system will provide guidance on what methods and assessment procedures should be applied in the ubiquitous computing environment totally different from the conventional one. Also, The new system will be helpful in indicating what kind of techniques should be required in the real educational evaluation.

  • In this paper we are investigating how ubiquitous revolution in knowledge society changes the education system. By the help of ubiquitous computing and networking techniques we estimates the configuration of e-teaming in the age of knowledge -based society, and we examines Education Model with e-teaming and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) at e-School. We also suggest the feasible design of the e-School and a Blended-learning scheme based on cooperative education as a way of teaching Education.

  • Exponentially increasing UCC, experiences which some people get at the specific time and in the specific location are shared on the Web more easily. Also, UCC have been more reliable and more efficient resources, because of many people's natural valuation on each UCC. UCC have potential possibility to be primary factor in all ubiquitous computing environment. However, like ubiquitous computing techniques themselves the current availability and utilization of online UCC is far from realizing their full potential. In this paper, we propose a technique that integrates existing methods from information retrieval and tagging technologies to correspond with user's underlying need for some information in ubiquitous computing environment.

  • In the ubiquitous which is rapidly developing with ultra speed thes days, constructing the u-Campus which is using the sensor-network as its base is keep developing. Also, any information related equipments like PC and mobile, computing is possible whenever and wherever you want and due to the development of the wireless network, the service environment is continually developing. In this article, I'd like to suggest the u-Campus which is very suitable to the user's environment which had used application of mobile. In u-Campus, various techniques are adopted and applied along with development of info-communication related technidques. Especially, the new type of campus which is constructed by adopting the ubiquitous computing net-work technique to the campus of university is the u-Campus. In this article, by suggesting u-Yuhan designing methods, more effective and advanced school activities of students to make possible.

  • The spread of mobile devices, PDAs and sensors has enabled the construction of ubiquitous computing environments, transforming regular physical spaces into 'Smart space' augmented with intelligence and enhanced with services. However, the deployment of this computing paradigm in real-life is disturbed by poor security, particularly, the lack of proper authentication and authorization techniques. Also, it is very important not only to find security measures but also to preserve user privacy in ubiquitous computing environments. In this Paper, we propose efficient user authentication and authorization model with anonymity for the privacy-preserving for ubiquitous computing environments. Our model is suitable for distributed environments with the computational constrained devices by using MAC-based anonymous certificate and security association token instead of using Public key encryption technique. And our Proposed Protocol is better than Kerberos system in sense of cryptographic computation processing.

  • This study presents an ultrasonic location awareness system for the ubiquitous computing with absolute position. The flight time of ultrasonic waves is determined by a period detecting technique which is able to extend the sensing range compared with traditional methods. For location awareness, ultrasonic waves are sent successively from each ultrasonic transmitter and synchronized by radio frequency (RF) signal, where the transmitting part is fixed and the receiving part is movable. To expand the recognizing range, cell matching technique and coded ultrasonic technique are introduced. The experimentation for various distances is accomplished to verify the used period detecting technique of U-SAT system. The positioning accuracy by using cell matching is also verified by finding the locations of settled points and the usability of coded ultrasonic technique is verified. As a result, the possibility of ultrasonic location awareness system for the ubiquitous computing can be discussed as a pseudo-satellite system with low cost, a high update rate, and relatively high precision, in the places where GPS is not available.
