Many researches and projects are implemented about u-IT according to changes of ubiquitous environments in the world. Especially, there are benefits to raise lifestyle and we can develop industry by applying ubiquitous regionally. Also it makes citizen feel comfortable directly. There are many projects to regionally adopt ubiquitous services like u-City model for getting this advantages. RFID technology must be suited to each environment because each RFID tag has different characteristics according to frequency band. We need to integrate bands of RFID to overcome limitations and provide more detail information and services. In this study, we develop the dual band RFID Manager needed adopting u-Zone service for both 13.56MHz and 2.45GHz. The RFID Manager, application software for base station of u-Zone, delivers the information from readers to integrated u-Zone server system.

In order to study the antitumoral effect of Selaginella tamariscina extracts, the cytotoxicities to human histiocytic leukemia cells (U937) and lymphocyte were measured by MTT method. The water extract of Selaginella tamariscina was partitioned into chloroform (CHCl3), ethylacetate (EtAc), n-butanol (BuOH) and water (H2O), successively. CHCl3, EtAc and BuOH fractions of Selaginella tamariscina showed the cytotoxicity to the U937 cells but they had effect on the cytotoxicity of lymphocyte under the same conditions. The tumor-specific cytotoxicity of Selaginella tamariscina fractions migh have been attributed to their genotoxic effect on actively proliferating cells. The expression of p53 tumor suppressor gene was then evaluated by northern blotting. The increased expression of p53 was induced by Selaginella tamariscina fraction V but no expression of p53 was induced by CHCl3, EtAc, and BuOH fractions of Selaginella tamariscina water extract (fraction V) should be required for the cytotoxcity on U937 and the other fractions of Selaginella tamariscina mediated the U937 disruption.

Recently, retail store automation appliance market is changed with traditional POS systems techniques and RFID, radio POS system, and self checkout system, etc. in the foreign advanced distribution industry. Retailers and consumers require convenient POS system which can provide more functions and fast service. These requests bring to rapid evolution of various H/W and S/W corresponding with POS system. In this study with the POS systems and the RFID technology we develop core technology of movable u-POS system based on RFID that can use in large store. So we propose u-Cart system that can alternate the current shopping cart and POS terminal and that provide value added services to customer. As the result we present the configuration of u-Cart terminal device(WMDT : Wireless Mobile Data Terminal) including RFID reader module that can provide various information to consumer and some convenient client applications that are running in WMDT and u-POS administration service module.

Outcomes of the FALCON code analysis-related part of the STARS-ENSI Service Project on Evaluation of the new U.S.NRC RIA Fuel Safety Criteria and Application to the Swiss Reactors are presented. Substantial conservatism of the updated safety limits for high-temperature and PCMI cladding failure, as proposed in the NRC Regulatory Guide RG 1.236, is confirmed. Applicability of the updated failure limits to fuel safety analysis in the Swiss PWRs, as applied to standard fuel designs using UO2 fuel pellets and SRA Zry-4 as cladding materials is discussed. Conducting of new integral RIA tests with irradiated samples using doped- and gadolinia fuel pellets to support appropriate fuel safety criteria for RIA events is recommended.

본 연구는 U-City에서 도시안전이 실현될 수 있는 평가체계를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 평가체계는 현재 도시가 얼마나 안전한지와 앞으로 도시가 얼마나 안전해 질 수 있는지에 대한 지표를 선정하고 중요도를 분석하였다. 중요도 분석결과 현재 도시가 얼마나 안전한지에 대한 지표는 방재와 환경 분야 지표가 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 앞으로 도시를 안전하게 유지하기 위한 U-안전도시 가능성 지표는 통합적 운영관리체계를 갖추고 이를 토대로 안전한 도시를 유지할 수 있는 시스템 구축에 필요한 지표가 중요하다고 제시되었다. U-안전도시 평가체계는 향후자치단체에서 IT를 활용한 도시계획, 조성, 운영 및 관리를 위한 평가에 활용할 수 있다.

이 연구에서는 위험성 평가를 기반으로 한 U-도면정보 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 U-도면정보 시스템의 기술적 특징은 P&ID등 공정정보를 기본 자료로서 활용하는 정량적 위험성 평가를 도면상에서 직접 수행할 수 있는 구조로 구성되었다는 것이다. 따라서 기존의 방식으로 위험성 평가를 수행할 때 보다 효율적이고, 간편한 정보 검색을 할 수 있게 되었다. U-도면정보 시스템은 CAD file로 존재하는 모든 도면을 CAD S/W 없이 Web 기반 환경에서 쉽게 볼 수 있도록 설계하였다. 이는 플랫폼(U-단말기)을 이용하여 공정내 어디에서나 브로드밴드, IPv6로 접속이 가능하며, 센서 기능과 개인 인증기능 등을 통하여 항상 도면정보 시스템에 접속할 수 있도록 기존의 도면정보 시스템과 달리 Web 기반으로 시스템을 구성하였다. 이러한 결과는 기존의 단순한 해당 업무에 대한 검토가 아닌 위험도를 고려한 장치산업의 체계적 안전장치를 제공한다. 또한, 의사결정단계에서 공학 기술적 이론에 충실한 판단 근거들을 제시하였다
