의류에 부착된 상표표시 레이블에 관한 연구 - 아동복을 중심으로 - (A Study of Brand Labels on Clothing - Focusing on Children's Wear -)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the types and functions of brand labels on clothing. We surveyed the materials and manufacturing methods for brand labels by visiting the label stores and label manufacturers. 200 pieces of children's wear were surveyed. The label attributes that were studied were: the number of labels, the location of the labels, the attachment system for the labels, the color of the labels, the materials used to make the labels, manufacturing methods, and the size of the labels. From this investigation a brand label was classified into a main label and a point label. The main results were: 1. Materials such as fabrics, nonwovens, leather, suede, rubber, PVC, silicone, and metals are used for brand labels. The manufacturing methods for brand labels are weaving, printing, high frequency, heating, and molding. 2. More than 54% of clothes have more than two brand labels attached. This percentage exceeds the attaching of only one brand label in rate. An inside brand label is located at a certain place. This inside label uses only fabric material reflecting inherent brand color and design. The outside brand label is located at several places with consideration of the clothes design. This label uses various materials, colors, and characters matching with the clothes. As for the size, an inside label is mainly medium in size, whereas an outside label is small. 3. A brand label is classified into a main label (first label) and a point label (second label), which are defined as follows. A main label indicates the brand name and is located inside at a certain place using an inherent brand design and a fabric material. A point label is an additional label to express brand image and is located outside at various places for decoration using various characters and design and materials.

저관여 생필품 소매업체상표 구매자의 특성: 스캐너 데이터 분석 (Characteristics of Private Label Users of Low Involvement Products: Scanner Data Analysis)

  • Purpose - The purpose of the research is to identify the demographic characteristics of the customers with high private label purchase intention. According to the previous research demographics such as gender, age, income, and residence type affect private label purchase intention indirectly through psychographics rather than directly. For instance, higher income group is time pressured, price-insensitive, quality-sensitive, less likely to enjoy shopping utilitarian products, and less likely to be variety-seeking. The main contribution of this research is to verify the results found in the previous empirical foreign research using scanner data and to investigate the differences of the characteristics of private label users between Korea and the foreign countries. Research design, data, and methodology - In order to empirically test the proposed hypotheses, scanner data of a Korean major super center was analyzed. Results - Empirical results show that private labels are more favored by old people over 50s, dwellers in individual house, lower income group, and frequent store visitors. Age of 30s, dwellers in the apartment of 30 pyung, higher income group, and consumers who purchased a large amount are less likely to purchase private labels. Gender turned out not to affect private label purchase. It should be noted that there is a significant multicollinearity among independent variables. Conclusions - The research findings provide managerial implication for retailers' private label strategy. In general, retailers heavily send private label coupons to the customers with high purchase volume. According to the research, however, store visit frequency is much more positively associated with private label purchase than purchase amount. The study has some limitations. The samples are only consumers with private label purchase experience. The data were drawn from one store and only 8 commodity products were used for the analysis. Also, if more demographics were available, a more complete description on the private brand users' profile could have been derived. We propose the following future research. Research using the data including consumers without private label experience, research investigating direction of causality between private label loyalty and store loyalty, and research using hedonic private label products such as TV and PC could be promising.

금속환경에 적용가능한 UHF대역 라벨 태그의 구현 및 성능평가 (A Folded Label Tag for Metallic Environment over UHF Band)

  • 본 논문에서는 일반라벨 형태의 태그를 접어서 금속환경에 사용 가능한 RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) 태그 안테나를 설계 및 제작을 하였다. 일반 라벨 태그의 경우, 금속 환경에서 인식이 열화되는 단점을 보완하여 접힌 형태의 태그 안테나를 제안한다. Ansoft사(社)의 HFSS를 사용하여 칩 임피던스는 $52-j158{\Omega}$에 따라 910MHz에서 동작하도록 설계되었다. 태그의 크기는 $65{\times}23{\times}3(mm)$이며 실제 제작 후 테스트 결과 5.5M까지 인식되었다.

레이블 노이즈가 존재하는 자료의 판별분석 방법 비교연구 (A Comparative Study of Classification Methods Using Data with Label Noise)

  • 판별분석(discriminant analysis)은 새로운 개체가 입력되었을 때, 그 개체가 어느 그룹에 속하는지 예측하는데 사용되는 분석방법이다. 판별분석에서는 레이블(label)을 통해 새로운 개체를 예측하기 때문에 판별분석에서 레이블은 중요하다. 레이블 노이즈(label noise)는 관측된 레이블에 오류가 포함된 것을 의미하며, 실데이터에 발생하기 쉽고 판별성능에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 중요한 요인이다. 이를 개선하기 위해 레이블 노이즈와 레이블 노이즈에 강건한 모형들이 연구되고 있지만, 레이블 노이즈가 존재할 때 판별성능에 영향을 줄 수 있는 요인을 고려하고 이 요인들이 판별성능에 미치는 영향을 비교한 연구는 찾기 힘들다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 분류문제에서 많이 사용되는 LDA, QDA, KNN, SVM 방법을 이용하여 레이블 노이즈가 판별성능에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 특히 판별분석의 성능과 연관이 있을 것으로 예상되는 레이블 노이즈의 발생 비율, 발생형태, 데이터의 개수에 따른 판별성능을 모의실험을 통해 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 데이터의 형태와 분석기법에 따라 레이블 노이즈가 판별성능에 영향을 미치는 정도가 다름을 확인하였다.

유.아동복 레이블의 불만에 관한연구 (A Study on Consumer Complaints over Lables on children's Clothing)

  • This study investigated material the type(sewn-in stamped-on etc) of the label and its placement(location on the product) on children's clothing in order to survey consumer complaints to suggest the improvement. The data were collected from label-producing companies by surveying children's clothing displayed at department store as well as by questionnaire to 205 consumers who were mothers of preschool children. The results were as follows : 1. 100% polyester was the most used raw material for brand labels and nylon was for care labels. 2. Most brand labels were one piece labels and located inside the back of neck line by sewn-in either on the top on each sides or on all four sides, Care labels were usually sewn-in on the inside of left-side seam line. The texture of care label was softer than that of brand label and two pieces of care labels were widely used, 3. 67.3% of consumers complained of its stiffness while 36.1% of consumers complained of rough surface and edge 85.4% of consumers complained of an itch caused by brand labels and claimed to detach labels. For care labels 36.6% expressed displeasure of stiffness of labels while 39% complained of annoyance due to too many pieces of labels. 4. Major suggestions from the consumers were change of raw materials and relocation of brand labels. For the care labels changes of material form and type of labels were suggested and one piece of label and smaller size were preferable.

상표 및 의류광고 수용도에 따른 청바지 평가에 관한 연구 (Evaluations of 8lue Jean Related to Brand Name and Apparel Advertising Acceptance)

  • The objectives of this study were (1) to investigate the differences of evaluations of blue jean according to the level of apparel advertising acceptance, (2) to examine the differences of effect of brand Name on evaluations of blue jean, (3) and to investigate the differences of evaluations between Clothing and Textiles mojors and non Clothing and Textiles mojors. Questionnaire was comprised of 10 Likert type items of apparel advertising acceptance measure, and 11 items of 7-point scale for clothing evaluation measure. "Mcgreger" was selected for the blue jean evaluations of unrecognized brand, and "Calvin Klein" was for recognized brand. The subjects were 154 college female students in Seoul; 39 females were asked about evaluations of the blue jean of unrecognized brand name (Mcgreyer) without the brand name label, 40 unrecognized brand with the label, 41 recognized brand (Calvin Klein) without the brand name label, 34 recognized brand with the label. The data were analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan's multiple-range test. The results of the study were the followings: 1. Females with high scores in apparel advertising acceptance were more influenced by brand name in evaluations of blue jean than those with low scores. 2. The evaluations of blue jean was influenced by reputation of brand name in all evaluation criteria. Female group who evaluated the blue jean with recognized brand name label evaluated more positively than the other groups.an the other groups.

전기화학적 방법에 의한 신규 바이오칩의 SNP 검출 (SNP Detection of Arraye-type DNA Chip using Electrochemical Method)

  • High throughput analysis using a DNA chip microarray is powerful tool in the post genome era. Less labor-intensive and lower cost-performance is required. Thus, this paper aims to develop the multi-channel type label-free DNA chip and detect SNP (Single nucleotide polymorphisms). At first, we fabricated a high integrated type DNA chip array by lithography technology. Various probe DNAs were immobilized on the microelectrode array. We succeeded to discriminate of DNA hybridization between target DNA and mismatched DNA on microarray after immobilization of a various probe DNA and hybridization of label-free target DNA on the electrodes simultaneously. This method is based on redox of an electrochemical ligand.

식품표시에 대한 소비자 행동연구 (Analysis of Consumer Behavior on Using Food Label)

  • The purpose of this study was to search for new food labeling system that would support effective consumer decision-making, by examining consumer behavior of food labels and its' related factors. The survey was conducted on 410 housewives under 60-year-old who live in Seoul or Metropolitan area, using questionnaires and the illustrated material of labels. Respondents generally considered food labels very important as devices. Among 12 items of label which are required to disclose, they evaluated circulation period, and nutritional information. Among 12 items of label, housewives read manufacture date, circulation period, and price more often than business admission number and self standard number. The respondents preferred the format of marking both manufacture date and expiration date on the same side, the format of printing both price and weight on the same side of package, the diagramatic type, and the format represented by ration graph per daily value.

  • The Internet with conventional routing scheme cannot meet user demands driven from drastic growth in the Internet user and various service and traffic type. MPLS(Multi Protocol Label Switching) was introduced to the Internet fur solution to resolve this problem. MPLS is a paradigm to integrate higher layer’s software routing functions including layer-3 routing with layer-2 switching. But, the exponential growth of Internet traffic brings out of label space. One scalable solution to cope with this problem is to introduce flow merge technique, i. e. a group of flows is forwarded using the same label. Specially, IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force) recommends that ATM based MPLS system may include VC merge function, so it is scalable to increase of internet traffic. We implemented the MPLS LER system that includes the look-up and forwarding function in incoming path and VC merging function and limited traffic management function in outgoing path. This paper describes the implementation of the LER’s outgoing parts.

Nano and micro structures for label-free detection of biomolecules

  • Nano and micro structure-based biosensors are promising tool for label-free detection of biomolecular interactions with great accuracy. This review gives a brief survey on nano and micro platforms to sense a variety of analytes such as DNA, proteins and viruses. Among incredible nano and micro structure for bio-analytical applications, the scope of this paper will be limited to micro and nano resonators and nanowire field-effect transistors. Nanomechanical motion of the resonators transducers biological information to readable signals. They are commonly combined with an optical, capacitive or piezo-resistive detection systems. Binding of target molecule to the modified surface of nanowire modulates the current of the nanowire through electrical field-effect. Both detection methods have advantages of label-free, real-time and high sensitive detection. These structures can be extended to fabricate array-type sensors for multiplexed detection and high-throughput analysis. The biosensors based on these structures will be applied to lab-on-a-chip platforms and point-of-care diagnostics. Basic concepts including detection mechanisms and trends in their fields will be covered in this review.
