A Single Inductor Dual Output Synchronous High Speed DC-DC Boost Converter using Type-III Compensation for Low Power Applications

  • This paper presents a high speed synchronous single inductor dual output boost converter using Type-III compensation for power management in smart devices. Maintaining multiple outputs from a single inductor is becoming very important because of inductor the sizes. The uses of high switching frequency, inductor and capacitor sizes are reduced. Owing to synchronous rectification this kind of converter is suitable for SoC. The phase is controlled in time sharing manner for each output. The controller used here is Type-III, which ensures quick settling time and high stability. The outputs are stable within $58{\mu}s$. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme achieves a better overall performance. The input voltage is 1.8V, switching frequency is 5MHz, and the inductor used is 600nH. The output voltages and powers are 2.6V& 3.3V and 147mW &, 230mW respectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 ATM 망에서의 통합 네트워크 구현을 위한 IP data packet를 처리하기 위한 AAL type5 프로토콜 프로세서를 설계 및 구현하였다. AAL 계층의 중요 기능들은 ITU-T Recommendation 1.363과 1.363.5 에 근거하여 설계하였다. AAL 계층의 주요한 역할은 데이터의 Segmentation 및 셀의 Reassembly를 하는 것으로, Segmentation 과정에서는 상위 계층의 연속적인 데이터를 Segmentation하여 53-byte 크기의 ATM 셀을 구성하는 기능이다. Reassembly 과정에서는 들어오는 셀들을 연속적인 데이터로 만들어 AAL 계층 보다 상위 계층으로 전달하는 것이다. 이 과정에서 셀의 Header 를 확인한 후 crc-32를 통한 오류 검정을 거치게 되며, 데이터에 오류가 있을 경우에는 해당 셀을 버리고 오류가 없을 시에만 상위 계층으로 전달한다. 본 논문에서 구현한 AAL Type 5 프로세서는 향후 모든 Type의 data를 수용하는 칩 개발에 유용할 것으로 사료된다. 본 논문에서 원할한 테스트를 위해 데이터의 loop back 신호 DLB를 사용했다 VHDL 해석기로는 Synopsys 사의 VHDL Analyzer를 사용하였고, Design Compiler로 회로를 합성하였다.

Adjusting Weights of Single-word and Multi-word Terms for Keyphrase Extraction from Article Text

  • Given a document, keyphrase extraction is to automatically extract words or phrases which topically represent the content of the document. In unsupervised keyphrase extraction approaches, candidate words or phrases are first extracted from the input document, and scores are calculated for keyphrase candidates, and final keyphrases are selected based on the scores. Regarding the computation of the scores of candidates in unsupervised keyphrase extraction, this study proposes a method of adjusting the scores of keyphrase candidates according to the types of keyphrase candidates: word-type or phrase-type. For this, type-token ratios of word-type and phrase-type candidates as well as information content of high-frequency word-type and phrase-type candidates are collected from the input document, and those values are employed in adjusting the scores of keyphrase candidates. In experiments using four keyphrase extraction evaluation datasets which were constructed for full-text articles in English, the proposed method performed better than a baseline method and comparison methods in three datasets.

Decision making model for introducing Medical information system based on Block chain Technologies (블록체인 기반 의료정보시스템 도입을 위한 의사결정모델)

  • Purpose The purpose of this paper is to observe the relative priorities of importances among the modified versions of Block chain system, being based on AHP decision support model which should be also proposed in this paper. Design/methodology/approach Four versions modified from the beginning of Block chain were divided into Public& Permissionless, Private&Permissionless, Public&Permissioned and Private&Permissioned types. Five criteria for evaluating the four versions whether the version were suitable for Medical information system were introduced from five factors of Technologies Accept Model, which were Security, Availability, Variety, Reliability and Economical efficiency. We designed Decision support model based on AHP which would select the best alternative version suitable for introducing the Block chain technology into the medical information systems. We established the objective of the AHP model into finding the best choice among the four modified versions. First low layer of the model contains the five factors which consisted of Security, Availability, Variety, Reliability and Economical efficiency. Second low layer of the model contains the four modified versions which consisted Public&Permissionless, Private&Permissionless, Public&Permissioned and Private& Permissioned types. The structural questionnaire based on the AHP decision support model was designed and used to survey experts of medical areas. The collected data by the question investigation was analyzed by AHP analysis technique. Findings The importance priority of Security was highest among five factors of Technologies Accept Mode in the first layer. The importance priority of Private&Permissioned type was highest among four modified versions of Block chain technologies in second low layer. The second importance priority was Private&Permissionless type. The strong point of Private&Permissioned type is to be able to protect personal information and have faster processing speeds. The advantage of Private& Permissionless type is to be also able to protect personal information as well as from forging and altering transaction data. We recognized that it should be necessary to develop new Block chain technologies that would enable to have faster processing speeds as well as from forging and altering transaction data.

Foot Type Classification of Korean Male Farmers for Ergonomic Work Shoes Design

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to identify foot shapes of Korean male farmers by classifying their foot types using 3D scan data and analyzing the characteristics of each type. Background: The increasing demands for anthropometric information for the design of machinery and personal protective equipment to prevent occupational injuries has necessitated an understanding of the anthropometric differences to be found among occupations. Static stooped posture and squatting posture are so common in Korean farmers that anthropometric deformation in foot especially seems to occur easily. Method: 366 Korean male farmers volunteered for this study from 16 different farming villages nationwide from 2009 to 2011. Subjects were categorized into 4 age groups from 40s to 70s. Their right feet were measured by using 3D foot scanner, the anthropometric dimensions were composed of 40 items. Results: The 8 major factors affecting the foot shapes were extracted. From these factors the foot shape of Korean male farmers was classified into 3 Foot types. Foot type 1 showed severe deformation in toe 1, type 2 had a narrow shape and type 3 had a wider width for its length. Conclusion: There were some differences in foot shape and types between farmers and the public. The most characteristic foot type in Korean male farmers was type 3. Application: The results of identifying foot shapes of Korean male farmers might provide the useful information for designing ergonomic farm work shoes.

  • As recent interest in ecological resources increases, an effort in three-dimensional visualization of the ecological resources has increased for the restoration and preservation of the natural environment as well as the evaluation of the landscape. However, in the case of forest resources, information extraction has been active, but the effort in trying to apply that information into an effective visualization has not happened. In other words, the effort for effective visualization is lacking when it comes to the visualization of forest resources, and numerous cases are ether non-realistic or the simulation required for analysis is inappropriate. Therefore, this paper extracts information through the use of airborne LiDAR data, aerial photograph, and forest type maps to create a vegetation layer, and then uses Flora3D forest modeling tools and ArcGlobe to accurately visualize the vegetation layer into the three dimension. An effective application for restoration and preservation of ecological resources as well as analysis on the urban landscape can be considered as a result of intuitively and realistically enabling the user's awareness of forest information within the Geographic Information System.

  • In recently, researches which appling satellite image are introduced target to the forest area. Especially, it is satellite image analysis's advantage that collecting information of terrain at the direct accesses are dangerous and impassible area. But, the studies approaching to a inflectional paradigm of forests and change detection system for the distinguished forests type are leaves much to be desired. In this study, therefore, change of forests type was analyzed using Landsat TM satellite image which have multi-spectral bands. Furthermore, change detection system for forests type was constructed on web for the periodical monitoring.

Relationship between Business Type on Sales Orders and Major Factors in Domestic Ecommerce Markets

  • Purpose: The goal of this study is to comprehensively grasp the current status of ecommerce and to use as basic data for information-related policies. In this work, we understand recent ecommerce utilization, purchasing business by main factors, and look over the association between business type on sales orders (BTSO) and three variables: region, occupation and group type. Research design, data and methodology: The resource of this research is obtained by Ministry of Science and Technology Information and Communication in 2017, and investigated about 14,000 national business samples. Two statistical methods are used to analyze the association between the three variables: chi-square test and correspondence analysis. Results: The findings show that BTSO is pairwise associated with thee categorical variables, and the association between the categories of the two variables can be visually examined on two dimensional plane. Conclusions: This study suggests 'household & individual consumers' among BTSO are closely connected with 'Chungbuk' and 'Kyungnam' for region, 'others', 'finance & insurance' and 'association, repairing & other personal service' for occupation, and 'national & local government' for group type. Additionally, 'other companies' among BTSO are, particularly, related to 'Chunnam' for region, 'manufacturing industry' for occupation, and 'company corporations' for group type.

  • This study aims at developing subject guides for the disabled to provide service effectively. Subject guide and service models are developed on the basis of reference, case study, and user requests analysis and information types in areas are determined. Information types for collecting and building information resources are classified into types are subordinate and also metadata by information types are developed. Subject guides based on customized services contain information, disability type, service target, life-cycle, media type, and organizations.
