A Study on initial value Q of Anti-collision Algorithm in Gen2 Protocol Based RFID Systems (GEN2 기반 RFID 시스템에서의 충돌방지 알고리즘의 초기 값 Q에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose an improved anti-collision algorithm. We have designed an anti-collision unit using this algorithm for the 18000-6 Type C Class 1 Generation 2 standard (Gen2). The Gen2 standard uses a Q-algorithm for incremental method on the Dynamic Slot-Aloha algorithm. It has basically enhanced performance over the Slot-Aloha algorithm. Unfortunately, there are several non-clarified parts: initial value. If an incorrect value is selected, it causes degradation in performance. To increase throughput and system efficiency, and to decrease tag identification time, we propose an improved anti-collision algorithm. prorosed Q algorithm has an increment of 5% of system efficiency and a decrement of 9% of tag identification time.

ALOHA-type Anti-collision Algorithms Using Tag Estimation Method in RFID system (RFID 시스템에서의 태그 수를 추정하는 ALOHA 방시 Anti-collision 알고리즘)

  • When there are many tags using the same frequency around the reader in RFID system, they disturb each other and in the end their response cannot be received by the reader. To solve this disturbance and fast identify the tags, the anti-collision algorithm, which is the core technology in RFID system, is needed. We propose two ALOHA-type Dynamic Framed Slotted ALOHA(DFS-ALOHA) algorithms using Dynamic Slot Allocation(DSA), which dynamically allocates the frame size in accordance with the number of tags and Tag Estimation Method(TEM), which estimates the number of tags around the reader. We also compare the performance of the proposed DFS-ALOHA algorithms with that of the conventional Framed Slotted ALOHA (FS-ALOHA) algorithms and the algorithms proposed by Vogt using OPNET simulation. According to the analysis, the two proposed DFS-ALOHA algorithms(DFS-ALOHA I and DFS-ALOHA II) show better performance than the conventional ALOHA-based algorithms regardless of the number of tags. Although the two proposed DFS-ALOHA algorithms show the similar performance, BFS-ALOHA ll is better because it is easier to be implemented in the system and the complexity is lower.

UAM Parallel Corridor Collision Risk Analysis based on Collision Risk Model (충돌 위험 모델을 활용한 UAM 평행 항로 충돌 위험 분석)

  • In this study, the collision risk of the UAM (Urban Air Mobility) corridor was analyzed using a collision risk model applied to the manned aircraft corridor. According to the K-UAM roadmap and operating concept, UAM is expected to fly on a designated route similar to existing manned aircraft operations and operate on two routes, traveling back and forth between the departure point and the destination point. Among domestic manned aircraft routes, the manned aircraft operation between Gimpo Airport and Jeju Airport is similar to this and takes the form of a parallel route with a lateral separation distance between the two routes. In this study, we analyzed the collision risk of the UAM corridor according to the lateral separation distance using a collision risk model used to analyze the collision risk of manned aircraft parallel routes for a similar type of UAM corridor. Based on this, we finally analyzed how many parallel routes could be installed within the width of the Han River, considering the K-UAM demonstration route.

  • Kwangju granite body located in vicinity of Kwangju city consist of three rock bodies-Kwangju rock body, Jangsung rock body and Youngkwang rock body. Petrochemistry of Kwangju granite is as follows: Kwangju granite body is igneous complex which compose of a series of differential products of a magma. Kwangju granites are divided into four rock facies based on the geologic age, mineralogical and chemical constituents and texture: Triassic hornblende-biotite granodiorite and biotite granite, and Jurassic porphyritic granite and two mica granite. Harker and other variation diagrams of Kwangju granites plot on trend of calc-alkali rock series and range of peraluminous granite. Parental magma type of Kwangju granites correspond to I-type, Syn-Collision type in compressive stress field by collision movement between both rock block. In chondrite normalized REE patterns of Kwangju grnites, LREE enriched than HREE in REE amount and have more steep negative slope with slightly (-) Eu anormaly.

  • The paper aims to design and verify tearing tube type energy absorption device applied in tram to ensure safety in case of collision accident. Energy capacity of tearing tube is determinated based on EN15227 and Standard Collision Scenarios Criterion in Detail in Republic of Korea. Tearing tube is designed based on theoretical model suggested by X.Huang et al. and assumption by T.Y. Reddy et al. Real scale collision tests are conducted to analyze the energy absorption characteristics and deformation mode. Bending of curl tips is absorbed collision energy when curl tips and tube body are contacted to each other from the tests and we suggest and include the formula on bending of curl tips in theoretical model.

  • In this paper, a finite element analysis technique of rolling stock models for collision-induced derailments was suggested using rolling contacts for wheel-rail interaction. The collision-induced derailments of rolling stock can be categorized into two patterns of wheel-climb and wheel-lift according to the friction direction between wheel flange and rail. The wheel-climb derailment types are classified as Climb-up, Climb/roll-over and Roll-over-C types, and the wheel-lift derailment types as Slip-up, Slip/roll-over and Roll-over-L types. To verify the rolling contact simulations for wheel-rail interaction, dynamic simulations of a single wheelset using Recurdyn of Functionbay and Ls-Dyna of LSTC were performed and compared for the 6-typical derailments. The collision-induced derailment simulation of the finite element model of KHST (Korean High Speed Train) was conducted and verified using the theoretical predictions of a simplified wheel-set model proposed for each derailment type.

  • RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) 기술은 RF 신호를 사용하여 물품에 부착된 전자 태그(tag)를 식별하는 비접촉자동인식 기술이다. 이런 RFID 기술의 확산을 위해서는 리더가 다수의 태그를 빠른 시간 안에 인식하는 다중 태그 식별 문제를 해결 해야만 한다. 지금까지 이 문제를 해결하기 위한 충돌 방지(anti-collision) 알고리즘이 많이 개발되었다. 본 논문에서는 이런 충돌 방지 알고리즘 중에서 18000-6 Type A, Type B와 Type C로 새롭게 채택된 EPCglobal Class1 Generation2, 그리고 Query Tree Protocol에 대한 시뮬레이션 시스템의 구조를 소개하고 실제 시뮬레이션 했을 때의 각 알고리즘에 대한 간단한 성능 평가를 한다.

  • This paper introduces a new collision attack on first-order masked AES. This attack is a known plaintext attack, while the existing collision attacks are a chosen plaintext attack. In addition, our method is more efficient than the second-order power analysis and requires about 1/27.5 power measurements by comparison with the last collision attack. Some experiment results of this paper support this fact. In this paper, we also introduce a simple countermeasure, which can protect against our attack.

  • Offshore wind turbines has to be proved against accidental events such as ship collision. In this study, ship collision fragility analysis of offshore wind turbine is done. Dynamic collision analysis is accomplished by considering soil foundation interaction and fluid structure interaction. Uncertainties due to ship weight and speed, angle are also considered. By analyzing dynamic response of offshore wind turbine, fragility curves are obtained for different damage levels. They can be used for restricting boat speed around the wind turbine and allowable size of the boat for inspection and for other purposes. Results of the fragility, it was confirmed fragility of collision speed of bulk ship of 30,000DWT and 850ton barge ship.

  • In 2006, Jeju Island in South Korea experienced a crisis, no electricity for three hours anywhere in the entire island. This incident was caused by a domino effect that occurred after one of the submarine power cables connecting the island to Haenam, a coastal city on the mainland, was damaged by an external load, probably from a ship anchor or a steel pile being used in marine farming. This study presents a collision analysis of a new submarine power cable protector called arch type reinforced concrete. For the analysis, a dynamic finite element program, ANSYS AUTODYN, was used to examine the displacement and stress of the submarine power cable protector using different material models (RHT concrete model, Mohr.Coulomb concrete model). In addition, two reinforcing bar spacings, 75 mm and 150 mm, were considered. From the analyses, the effects of the parameters (concrete model and spacing) on the results (displacement and stress) were analyzed, and the relations between the damage and parameters were found.
