A Study on Association between Type of E-commerce and Demographic variables

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to comprehensively understand the recent status of domestic e-commerce market and provide useful information for the revitalization of domestic on-line economy. This study looks over the association between type of e-commerce and demographic variables for each purchase ordering and sales order business. The demographics under consideration is administrative district, occupation and business organization type and type of e-commerce is B2B, B2C and B2G to deal with. Research design, data, and methodology - From January 2017 to December 2017, about 14000 samples are extracted from all businesses with experience in purchasing or selling products or services through e-commerce. The association between the two categorical variables considered by using two major statistical techniques such as chi-square test and correspondence analysis can be quantitatively and visually detected. Result - This study shows the association between the type of e-commerce with the administrative district and the occupation is completely different, but B2B and B2C are identical for organization type, with respect to both purchase and sales orders. A Study on the Introduction of the Business Community to Gangwon-do Province (강원도 지역의 커뮤니티 비즈니스 도입에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose - In order for actively pursuing medium and long term policies of Gangwon region to be effectively and efficiently driven, efficacious and practical development strategies are needed. In terms of regional revitalization in most regions that are dependent on the primary industry like Gangwon-do Province, the maintaining of local community becomes difficult and there are limitations on the support from the central government and local governments. Therefore, local communities need to implement measures not only to be financially independent but also maintain and activate themselves. And community business can be adopted to be a proper strategy to cope with this change. This study drew importance of a community business model appropriate for Gangwon-do region to figure out success factors. Research design, data, and methodology - This study aimed to come up with importance of community business model for Gangwon-do region by using AHP Method. AHP Method, which was developed by Professor Saaty in 1970', is a methodology to simplify complex problems for a rational decision making. A survey targeting related public officials and expert group was carried out and a total of 30 questionnaires were collected for the analysis. Results - Analysis model used in this study was to prioritize community business models of Gangwon-do region. The second hierarchy was divided according to local restoration type, local resource utilization type, environment improvement type, and life support type. The third hierarchy consisted of 5 items such as network, the middle structure, program, government support, and human resources to measure each importance. As a result, in the second hierarchy, local resource utilization type had the highest importance. In the third hierarchy, the middle structure had the highest importance, followed by government support, program, network, and human resources. Collectively, the results suggested that important critical factors of community business model of Gangwon-do region was the importance of local resource utilization model and the middle structure. Conclusions - Not only should projects that are already operating in the region but next community business projects that are planning in the Gangwon-do region should be practically operated in view of the importance and the models derived from this study.

  • Recently, the Busan Economy has been depressed because of the constant economic slowdown. This also causes severe damage to the construction industry. This study focuses on The Apartment Building Type-Factory Business Incubator in the university paying attention to the construction company who struggles to make a new item of business in this aggravated state of the building business. There are no universities who operate The Apartment Building Type-Factory Business Incubator until now and there are no related data or researches at all. With this in mind, this study is to perform a feasibility study on inducement of The Apartment Building Type-Factory Business Incubator in the University in Busan area. In consequence, feasibility of Policy was sufficient and this study could draw a result of stable returns. Through this business, this study expects that schools, construction companies and enterprises who want to start a business can get the synergy among each other.

What Do College Students Think Business Ethics is? : Using the Subjective Study (대학생의 윤리경영 인식은 어떠한가?: 주관성 연구를 활용하여)

  • This study investigates the perception among college students on business ethics using Q methodology. The respondents are 34 business-major students attending a national university or a private university. The students are asked to choose words that, they think, would best represent business ethics. Results are as follows. First, we divide words related to business ethics into four types. and the explanatory power of type I, type II, type III and type IV are 25.72%, 10.87%, 6.49%, and 5.14% respectively, or 48.21% collectively. Type-I words are related to 'corporate social responsibility', type-II ones to 'sustainable management', type-III ones to 'integral management', and type-IV ones to 'responsible management', respectively. Results show that there is no significant difference in business ethics perceptions between the respondents from two different schools. Few of the sample students have ever taken a business ethics class before. The students perceive 'management philosophy and values', 'rules and regulations', and 'voluntary involvement of market participants in management,' as important factors to create a management environment for business ethics. In the $21^{st}$ century firms will be more sustainable by implementing business ethics. Therefore ethical management is not only a management philosophy but also a business strategy for a firm to survive.

Development of Adoption Strategy and Guideline of Business Process Management Standards: Focusing on Business Process Execution Language (비즈니스 프로세스 관리 표준 도입 전략 및 지침 개발: 비즈니스 프로세스 실행 언어를 중심으로)

  • The objectives of this study is to develop a strategy for the adoption of BPM(Business Process Management) standards and an implementation guideline of the BPM standard for BPM solution developers focusing on BPEL(Business Process Execution Language) which is regarded as the most important BPM standard. In the heterogeneous and distributed IT environments, every type of enterprise software requires standards to enhance interoperability. BPMS(Business Process Management System), which is a type of enterprise software requires BPM standards such as BPEL(Business Process Execution Language), BPMN(Business Process Modeling and Notation), BPQL(Business Process Query Language) and so on to achieve multi-system interoperability and component interoperability with their BPM solutions. It is quite helpful to provide the adoption strategy concerning BPM standards for each type of BPM solution vendors who need the BPM standards. Since the BPEL is conceived as the most important BPM standard and widely adopted by many BPM vendors, we have proposed a reference architecture for BPEL implementation and also developed the detail implementation guideline of core components of the BPM system supporting the BPEL standard. Using the strategy and implementation guideline proposed in this work, BPM solution vendors can establish their own standard adoption strategy and they can also develop their BPM solutions supporting the BPM standards more efficiently.

Relationship between Business Type on Sales Orders and Major Factors in Domestic Ecommerce Markets

  • Purpose: The goal of this study is to comprehensively grasp the current status of ecommerce and to use as basic data for information-related policies. In this work, we understand recent ecommerce utilization, purchasing business by main factors, and look over the association between business type on sales orders (BTSO) and three variables: region, occupation and group type. Research design, data and methodology: The resource of this research is obtained by Ministry of Science and Technology Information and Communication in 2017, and investigated about 14,000 national business samples. Two statistical methods are used to analyze the association between the three variables: chi-square test and correspondence analysis. Results: The findings show that BTSO is pairwise associated with thee categorical variables, and the association between the categories of the two variables can be visually examined on two dimensional plane. Conclusions: This study suggests 'household & individual consumers' among BTSO are closely connected with 'Chungbuk' and 'Kyungnam' for region, 'others', 'finance & insurance' and 'association, repairing & other personal service' for occupation, and 'national & local government' for group type. Additionally, 'other companies' among BTSO are, particularly, related to 'Chunnam' for region, 'manufacturing industry' for occupation, and 'company corporations' for group type.

Foundation of Management Innovation and a Success Model of Micro Enterprise by Increasing Entrepreneurship and Organization Relationship Analysis

  • After the rapidly changing business management environment and financial crisis, high prices and domestic recession in Korea posed threats to the business survival of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This paper looks at the potential of micro business owners for sustainable development: those who have a spirit of entrepreneurship and the potential to be a hidden champion. Our study of micro business values uses structure equation modeling by LISREL. We have done so in order to understand the foundation of management innovation and success model of micro enterprise by increasing the entrepreneurship and management performance relationship analysis. A micro-enterprise is a type of small business, found only in Korea, often registered as having ten or fewer employees. We examine the successful type of hidden champions and the influence of entrepreneurship on start-ups in business. As compared to past research on the SME entrepreneurship, this study segments small businesses even further. Small business entrepreneurship was classified into three forms that are most appropriate for the Korean situation today: innovation, risk-taking, and pro-activeness. This research is meaningful as it is Korea's first empirical analysis on four business types: wholesale and retail sales, food and lodging business, service business, and manufacturing business. Thus far, research on small business entrepreneurship was carried out using small-scale investigative analysis. However, this research attempted to develop a model that can explain a cause-effect relation of the motivational level when it comes to the difference of entrepreneurship by each business type and small business start-up success factors. Various conceptual and operational definitions could be developed in a diverse and precise manner. Independent variables that are related to the success of small businesses can be developed additionally to examine the success factors related to the systematization in detailed manner. The research showed that the innovation, risk-taking and pro-activeness of the manifested difference in the degree of perception depending on the type of small businesses. Among the four business types, the ones that manifested the highest successful start-up rates were food, service, wholesale and retail sales and manufacturing. Results after conducting the regression analysis are shown on, which proves that the small business entrepreneurship exerts direct effect on the financial management performance of small businesses. In other words, small business entrepreneurship exerts a positive effect on the small business financial success and management performance. The R2 value is 0.61. It is possible to know that the perception of systematization and variables on attitude explains the 61% of the success for small self-employed businesses management performance. We define start-up key factors that are helpful to achieve internal growth of firms by finding business survival strategies. The results also focus on Korean government policy for micro enterprise and small business support.

  • This study aimed to segment Chinese fisheries consumer market by means of cluster analysis based on Shanghai region consumers. The survey is conducted to 350 shanghai people on March 17-21 in 2014 and investigate demographic characteristics and consumer's behaviors unique to each segmented market by preference, labelling, quality, price, safety. The result of cluster analysis identified four market segments such as Catering type market, Worth pursuing type market, Substance pursuing type market, Trend pursuing type market. Catering type market is a passive fisheries consumption market and is not high attractive for Korea fisheries export market. Value pursuing type market consider importance to labelling, origin, brand and require high-quality and differentiation strategies. This market's main target species are high price fisheries such as tuna, salmon, crocker. Substance pursuing type market consider fisheries's safety and quality and purchases more popular fisheries such as crocker, hairtail, promfret, mackerel, squid. Trend pursuing type market's consumers prefer to purchase brands and trendy seafood rather than taste.

A Study on Thai Seaweed Market Segmentation by Purchasing Attributes (구매속성에 의한 태국 김 시장세분화에 관한 연구)

  • The aim of this study is to examine profiles of consumers in Thai seaweed market segments. A total of 321 consumers were surveyed in bangkok, thailand. The multiple regression analysis performed indicates that consumer preference toward seaweed snack is significantly influenced by seaweed consumption frequency. The cluster analysis performed indicates that there are three segments based on consumer purchasing attributes toward seaweed snack : leading type, pursuing type, beginner type. The results show that there are consumer segment with different purchasing attributes level and seaweed preference. in this study Thai seaweed market's biggest consumer is leading type consumer(n=40.8%) that have high level of purchasing attributes toward seaweed snack when compared to other segments. pursuing type segment(n=27.4%) consists of consumers who have low level of purchasing attributes but have high consumption frequency. beginner type segment(n=31.8%) consists of consumers who rarely eat seaweed snack and have high price sensitivity. This study can inform Thai seaweed consumer's behavior and effective segment market strategies and target consumer based on purchasing behavior toward seaweed snack.

Analysis of the Competitive Power in the Bastard Halibut Aquaculture Type (우리나라 넙치양식 기술형태별 경쟁력 분석)

  • The objectives of this study are to find the competitive advantage of Bastard Halibut type. The results of analysis are as follows. First. in the profitability analysis, bastard halibut aquaculture using Herb is more profitable than other culture type. Second, bastard halibut aquaculture using Herb has more competitive power than other culture type in terms of cost, price, delivery, and flexibility. Finally, the result of comparison between culture type shows that culture technology must be concentrated on improving flesh of an adult fish. Research on the market differentiation methods in an adult fish are needed to analysis the competitive power analysis.
