링형 WDM PON 기반 통합 광송수신기 개발 (Development of an Integrated Optic Transmitter/Deceiver based on Ring-type WDM PON)

  • 본 논문에서는 링형 WDM PON 광전송 기술을 기반으로 도로변의 CCTV로부터 촬영되는 실시간 영상을 원격지로 압축없이 전송하고, CCTV 카메라의 원격 제어 및 TCP/IP 기반의 데이터 전송이 하나의 광파이버만으로 전송이 가능한 광송수신기를 개발한다. 개발한 광송수신기는 비압축 대용량 전송기술을 사용함으로 실시간 도로교통 상황을 원격지에서 고화질 모니터링 서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

구속 링형 시험에 의한 PP섬유 혼입 콘크리트의 폭렬 특성 평가 (Evaluation on Spalling Properties of Polypropylene Fiber reinforced Concrete by Restrained Ring-type Test)

  • In this study, the spalling properties of Polypropylene reinforced concrete were evaluated by the restrained ring-type test. As a result of the experiment with the fiber mixture ratio set at 0, 0.15 vol.%, The PP fiber reinforced specimen showed lower water vapor pressure as a whole than the Plain specimen, but the restraint stress was measured to be higher. This is thought to be due to the fact that higher thermal stresses were applied in the PP fiber reinforced test specimen.

Two More Radicals for Right Near-Rings: The Right Jacobson Radicals of Type-1 and 2

  • Near-rings considered are right near-rings and R is a near-ring. $J_0^r(R)$, the right Jacobson radical of R of type-0, was introduced and studied by the present authors. In this paper $J_1^r(R)$ and $J_2^r(R)$, the right Jacobson radicals of R of type-1 and type-2 are introduced. It is proved that both $J_1^r$ and $J_2^r$ are radicals for near-rings and $J_0^r(R){\subseteq}J_1^r(R){\subseteq}J_2^r(R)$. Unlike the left Jacobson radical classes, the right Jacobson radical class of type-2 contains $M_0(G)$ for many of the finite groups G. Depending on the structure of G, $M_0(G)$ belongs to different right Jacobson radical classes of near-rings. Also unlike left Jacobson-type radicals, the constant part of R is contained in every right 1-modular (2-modular) right ideal of R. For any family of near-rings $R_i$, $i{\in}I$, $J_{\nu}^r({\oplus}_{i{\in}I}R_i)={\oplus}_{i{\in}I}J_{\nu}^r(R_i)$, ${\nu}{\in}\{1,2\}$. Moreover, under certain conditions, for an invariant subnear-ring S of a d.g. near-ring R it is shown that $J_2^r(S)=S{\cap}J_2^r(R)$.

고분해능 장애물 탐지를 위한 중첩 초음파 센서 링의 최적 설계 (Optimal Design of Overlapped Ultrasonic Sensor Ring for High Resolution Obstacle Detection)

  • This paper presents the optimal design of an overlapped ultrasonic sensor ring for high resolution obstacle detection of an autonomous mobile robot. It is assumed that a set of low directivity ultrasonic sensors of the same type are arranged along a circle of nonzero radius at a regular spacing with their beams overlapped. First, taking into account the dead angle region, the entire range of obstacle detection is determined with reference to the center of an overlapped ultrasonic sensor ring. Second, the optimal design index of an overlapped ultrasonic sensor ring is defined as the area closeness of three sensing subzones resulting from beam overlap. Third, the lower and upper bounds on the number of ultrasonic sensors are derived, which can guarantee minimal beam overlap and also avoid excessive beam overlap among adjacent ultrasonic sensors. Fourth, employing a commercial low directivity ultrasonic sensor, an optimal design example of an overlapped ultrasonic sensor ring is given along with the ultrasonic sensor ring prototype mounted on top of a mobile robot. Finally, some experimental results using our prototype ultrasonic sensor ring are given to demonstrate the validity and performance of an optimally overlapped ultrasonic sensor ring for high resolution obstacle detection.

TBM disc cutter ring type adaptability and rock-breaking efficiency: Numerical modeling and case study

  • This study focused on understanding the relationship between the design of a tunnel boring machine disc cutter ring and its rock-breaking efficiency, as well as the applicable conditions of different cutter ring types. The discrete element method was used to establish a numerical model of the rock-breaking process using disc cutters with different ring types to reveal the development of rock damage cracks and variation in cutter penetration load. The calculation results indicate that a sharp-edged (V-shaped) disc cutter penetrates a rock mass to a given depth with the lowest load, resulting in more intermediate cracks and few lateral cracks, which leads to difficulty in crack combination. Furthermore, the poor wear resistance of a conventional V-shaped cutter can lead to an exponential increase in the penetration load after cutter ring wear. In contrast, constant-cross-section (CCS) disc cutters have the highest quantity of crack extensions after penetrating rock, but also require the highest penetration loads. An arch-edged (U-shaped) disc cutter is more moderate than the aforementioned types with sufficient intermediate and lateral crack propagation after cutting into rock under a suitable penetration load. Additionally, we found that the cutter ring wedge angle and edge width heavily influence cutter rock-breaking efficiency and that a disc cutter with a 16 to 22 mm edge width and 20° to 30° wedge angle exhibits high performance. Compared to V-shaped and U-shaped cutters, the CCS cutter is more suitable for soft or medium-strength rocks, where the penetration load is relatively small. Additionally, two typical case studies were selected to verify that replacing a CCS cutter with a U-shaped or optimized V-shaped disc cutter can increase cutting efficiency when encountering hard rocks.

사이드 채널형 링블로워의 임펠러 내부 유로에 따른 성능변화 분석 (Analysis of Performance Characteristics by Inner Flow Path of Side Channel Type Ring Blower)

  • This study analyzed performance changes by an inner flow path of impeller groove for side channel type ring blower using CFD. Two models have the same side channel and clearance while one has an inner flow path and the other doesn't. To analyze the performance change of a ring blower, overall performance and local flow field were analyzed. For the overall performance, pressure increase and impeller torque were checked under the design flow condition. Under the design flow condition, pressure increase was greater for the model with the inner flow path. The model with the inner flow path showed improved efficiency because the area subject to torque decreased due to the creation of inner flow path. To analyze local flow field, a section was created from the representative location of each impeller groove toward the direction of radius. Inner channel pressure distribution depending on the rotation direction shows that the model with the inner flow path has pressure equilibrium of working fluid through the inner flow path. Velocity distribution of inside impeller groove shows that flow field was coupled and appeared to form an inner wall where the flow field was stabilized.

  • We give several characterizations of a TV-PVMD and we show that the localization R[X;S]$_{N_{\upsilon}}$ of a semigroup ring R[X;S] is a TV-PVMD if and only if R is a TV-PVMD where $N_{\upsilon}\;=\;\{f\;{\in}\;R[X]{\mid}(A_f)_{\upsilon} = R\}$ and S is a torsion free cancellative semigroup with zero.

  • Signet ring cell carcinoma is a rare type of mucinous adenocarcinoma of the uterine cervix. To the best of our knowledge, there is no report on cytologlc findings of primary signet ring cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix in the literature. Recently, we experienced two cases of signet ring cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix. The finding of characteristic signet ring cells on cervicovaginal smear led to the diagnosis of signet ring cell carcinoma. However, primary signet ring cell carcinoma could not be cytologically distinguished from more common metastatic tumor. Therefore, diagnosis rests upon the recognition of signet ring cells and the absence of signet ring cell carcinoma elsewhere.

판상-링형 구속시험방법의 시험체 치수에 따른 콘크리트 수축균열 특성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluating Shrinkage Cracking Properties of Concrete by Size of Specimen of Plat-Ring Restrained Test Method)

  • 본 연구에서는 판상-링형 구속시험방법의 유효성 평가를 위하여 그 특성을 국내.외에서 제안된 콘크리트 구속수축시험방법과 비교하여 간편하고 정량적인 수축균열 평가방법의 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제시하고자 하였다. 판상-링형 구속시험방법의 적정 시험체 치수를 검토하기 위하여 시험체 내부링 직경 100, 150 및 200mm, 시험체 높이 30 및 50mm에 대하여 온도 20${\pm}$3$^{\circ}$C, 습도 60${\pm}$5%의 항온항습조건에서 양생 후 마이다스 프로그램을 이용한 3D Solid 요소의 수치 해석, 건조수축변형, 구속수축응력, 균열면적 및 균열 포인트 측정 등 콘크리트의 구속수축균열 특성을 평가하였으며, 그 결과 콘크리트 링 시험체 내부 링 직경 최소 150mm이상, 높이 50mm에서 변별력 있는 평가가 가능한 것으로나타났다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 향후, 판상-링형 구속시험방법에 있어서 온도, 풍속 등의 환경조건 및 배합조건에 따른 콘크리트의 구속수축균열특성에 관한 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

기만기 적용 고무 O-ring의 온도에 따른 가속수명시험을 통한 수명예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Life-time Prediction for the Rubber O-ring applied to decoy through the Accelerated Life Test)

  • 어뢰회피용 기만기는 수중에서 적 어뢰의 공격으로부터 자함을 보호하는 무기체계로 유사 시 우리 군의 피해를 최소화하기 위해 운용 간 고장없이 정상적으로 임무를 수행하여야 한다. 기만기는 운영 특성 상 내부로 해수가 유입되면 정상적인 임무 수행이 불가하기 때문에 운용환경을 고려하여 외부로부터 해수유입 방지를 위한 완벽한 기밀이 요구된다. 일반적으로 기만기의 수밀성능 확보를 위해 고무재질의 오링을 사용하는데 이러한 고무재질의 제품들은 시간의 경과와 주변 환경의 영향을 받아 노화되어 고무 초기 특성이 상실되어진다. 따라서 요구되는 수밀성능을 유지하기 위해 오링에 대한 정비 또는 교체가 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 기만기에 사용되는 오링의 대표적인 물성 지표인 경도와 신장률 값을 기준으로 오링의 가속수명시험 수행을 통한 시험데이터를 바탕으로 적합한 정비주기를 선정하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 기만기 수밀성능을 보장하기 위해 사용되는 오링의 재질은 NBR(Nitrile Butadiene Rubber)로써, 선행 연구 자료를 참고하여 주요 고장 환경 인자를 온도로 선정하였으며, 고장의 기준은 대상 제품이 가지는 물성 값 중 경도와 신장률이 초기 대비 50%까지 저하되는 시점으로 선정하였다. 또한 시험에 사용되는 시편 준비 및 물성 값 측정방법은 KS M 6518 규격을 참고하여 진행하였다. 시험결과는 컴퓨터 프로그램을 통해 분석하여 기만기에 적용되는 오링의 수명을 예측하였으며, 이를 통해 오링에 대한 정비주기를 산출하였다.
