The analysis of interference and efficiency are important phases in the design of planetary gear train. Because most planetary gear trains contain internal gear called ring gear, interferences between ring gear and planet gear should be analyzed in the step of design and manufacturing. Addendum modification coefficient, pressure angle, speed ratio between ring gear and sun gear are governing factors for interferences. In this paper, the interferences of 2K-H I type planetary gear train based on various planetary gear trains are studied. As that results, the ranges of addendum modification coefficients which would not lead to interferences is analyzed. Based on these ranges, theoretical efficiencies are investigated as 6 configurations of 2K-H I type planetary gear train, which is based on basic efficiency, and optimal addendum modification coefficients which generate the maximum efficiency of planetary gear train are presented. To prove results of theoretical efficiency analysis, experimentations are performed.

Let R be a commutative ring with unity. In this paper, we characterize the unit elements, the regular elements, the ${\pi}$-regular elements and the clean elements of zero-symmetric near-ring of polynomials $R_0[x]$, when $nil(R)^2=0$. Moreover, it is shown that the set of ${\pi}$-regular elements of $R_0[x]$ forms a semigroup. These results are somewhat surprising since, in contrast to the polynomial ring case, the near-ring of polynomials has substitution for its "multiplication" operation.

A novel magnetotransistor using a separated drift field with the guard ring around the emitter has been designed and fabricated. The operating principle of the proposed magnetic field sensor is based on the emitter injection modulation. The $p^+$ guard ring around the n-type emitter confines drifted electrons in the emitter, hence the induced Hall voltage in the emitter is increased. The measured relative sensitivity of the separated drift magnetotransistor with the guard ring is about 100 times larger than that without the guard ring.

A newly-devised Meerwein-Ponndorf-Verley (MPV) reagents, such as diisobutylacetoxyalanes and diisobutylmethanesulfonylalanes, achieved a clean conversion of unsymmetrical epoxides to the corresponding less substituted alcohols. This review covers the recent developments for such a regiospecific ring-opening reaction of epoxides.

We present construction methods for free self-orthogonal (self-dual or Type II) codes over ℤ₄[v]/〈v² + 2v〉 which is one of the finite commutative local non-chain Frobenius rings of order 16. By considering their Gray images on ℤ₄, we give a construct method for a code over ℤ₄. We have some new and optimal codes over ℤ₄ with respect to the minimum Lee weight or minimum Euclidean weight.

본 연구에서는 미소 비대칭 링을 대상으로, 맥놀이의 주기를 조절하는 실용적 기법을 제시한다 미세한 비대칭성은 하나의 링 모드를 근접한 주파수를 갖는 모드 쌍으로 분리시키는데, 이 모드 쌍이 동시에 가진되면 근접한 주파수 성분이 간섭함으로써 진동과 음향의 맥놀이가 발생한다. 단순화된 종형상의 링 시편을 대상으로 모드 쌍 데이터를 정밀 측정하고, 측정된 모드 쌍 조건을 만족하는 등가 링 모델을 만든다. 등가 링에 대한 유한요소해석을 통하여, 질량을 부착시키거나 두께를 감소시킬 때, 모드 쌍의 조건 변화를 예측하고 맥놀이 주기를 조절하는 방법을 제시한다. 구조변경에 따른 맥놀이 주기 변화의 예측치와 측정치를 비교하여 제시된 맥놀이 조절기법의 타당성을 검증한다.

A non-contact type measurement system is specially devised to measure the width of a piston ring groove in the grinding process. This system comprises a line camera with an imaging lens, collimated white light source, and a one axis translation stage. When the measurement system movesalong the diagonal direction of the cylinder, the line camera captures an image. By analyzing such images, the width of the piston ring groove can be determined. The experimental results prove that the proposed system is useful, especially as a monitoring system in grinding piston ring grooves on cylinders with accuracy of several micrometers in an area of dozens of millimeters.

A hybrid finite element analysis was used to analyze the influence of ring gear rim thickness and spline number on the static properties of an epicyclic gear system with manufacturing errors. Both of these parameters affected the bearing force and critical stress. The effect of changes in the rim thickness on the load sharing between the gears depended on the type of manufacturing error. Ring flexibility improved the load sharing between planetary gears only in systems with planet tooth thickness or planet tangential errors; for other types of error, ring flexibility worsened the load sharing. To improve load sharing, rim thickness and spline number should be controlled within a specific range. The effect of the ring gear boundary condition was more apparent in a system with errors than in a normal system.

본 논문에서는 두 마이크로스트립 라인으로 이루어진 헤어핀 형태의 결합 선로를 이용하여 특성이 개선된 링 하이브리드를 설계하였다. 제안한 구조는 링 하이브리드의 $\lambda/4$ 라인에 헤어핀 형태의 결합 선로를 삽입하여 두 선로가 가까워짐에 따라 선로간의 커플링으로 세 개의 감쇠극이 생겨 넓은 저지대역을 갖는 결합 선로 구조를 이용하여 구성함으로써 링 하이브리드의 크기 감소뿐만 아니라 고조파 제거 특성도 부가하였다. 중심 주파수 2.55 GHz에서 일반적인 링 하이브리드와 특성이 같고 3차 고조파를 포함한 12 GHz까지 -20 dB 이하의 고조파 저지 특성을 가지고 있다. 또한 링 부분의 크기는 기존 링 하이브리드의 1/4 크기로 줄어들었다. 제작된 링 하이브리드의 측정된 주파수 특성 결과는 시뮬레이션 결과와 잘 일치한다.

블루투스, 지그비, RFID와 같은 저가의 저 전력 무선통신 기술의 실용화는 웰빙 바람과 함께 유비쿼터스 헬스케어에 대한 관심이 급격하게 증가하고 있으며 u-Health는 센서네트워크분야에서 가장 중요한 응용분야중 하나가 되고 있다. 특히 독거노인이나 실버타운의 노인을 위해 응급상황에 대한 대처가 가능한 의료서비스를 개발하는 것은 그 자체로 의미가 있으며 그 수요는 노령인구의 급속한 증가와 함께 지속적으로 늘어날 것으로 기대된다. 이에 본 논문은 일상생활에서 손가락에 착용한 반지모양의 pulse oximeter 센서에 의해 수집된 PPG 신호로부터 정확한 맥박 변화율을 이끌어내는 것에 대한 타당성을 보이고자 한다. 이를 위해 반사형과 투과형 2가지 종류의 반지센서를 제작하였으며 반지센서로부터 맥박데이터를 수집, 분석하고 응급상황에 대처할 수 있는 원격의 모니터링 시스템을 개발하였다.
