  • The SMD type P-N junction diode with ceramic package for diode case were fabricated. It was made this diode with simple process from $Al_2O_3$ ceramic chip, solder preform, diode chip, coating reagent and conductive paste for chip terrmination. Its merit is small size, easy manufacture. fast cooling with ceramic case. The electric characteristics of the diode such as reverse recovery time, breakdown voltage, forward voltage, and leakage current were 5 28ns, 1322V, 1.08V, $0.45{\mu}A$.

  • Using of QR(Quick Response) code is dramatically extended to various marketing area; not only substitute of bar code but also new tool of PR and marketing. This research attempts to analyze brand communication effect using QR code printed on product package especially in snack product category. Findings are 1) communication effect are different according to the type of book-trailers; 2) cinematic production and animation are the most effective type of book-trailers; 3) for memory and confirmation(sharing), a)stills and straplines, Analysis result of hypothesis I showed that characters of QR code influence on brand attitude. Among dependent variables, only reliability is significant. That means reliability of company and brand using QR code influence on brand attitude. The higher reliability of QR code, the better brand attitude of the brand. Analysis result of hypothesis II found that only reliability is significant on purchasing intention. Reliability of company and product using QR code influences on purchasing intention. The higher reliability of QR code, the higher possibility of purchasing products. Therefore, company can enhance reliability of both company and its products by using QR code. Using QR code will bring high reliability and high brand attitude and purchasing intention.

  • Because most common assumption is normality in statistical analysis, testing normality is very important. The Q-Q plot is a powerful tool to test normality with full samples in statistical package. But the plot can't test normality in type-II censored samples. This paper proposed the modified the Q-Q plot and the modified normalized sample Lorenz curve(NSLC) for normality test in the type-II censored samples. Using the two Hodgkin's disease data sets and the type-II censored samples, we picture the modified Q-Q plot and the modified normalized sample Lorenz curve.

  • This paper is to suggest a concept design of the permanent magnet type magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device based on the parameter optimization method. Pulse currents in the gradient coils will introduce the effect of eddy currents in the ferromagnetic material, which will worsen the quality of imaging. In order to equalize the magnetic flux in the MRI device for good imaging, the eddy current effect in the ferromagnetic material must be taken into account. This study attempts to use the design of experiment (DOE) and the response surface method (RSM) for equalizing the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet type MRI device using that the magnetic flux can be calculated directly using a commercial finite element analysis package. As a result, optimal shapes of the pole and the yoke of the PM type MRI device can be obtained. The commercial package, ANSYS, is used for analyzing the magnetic field problem and obtaining the resultant magnetic flux.

  • Packages have been used for a wide variety of purposes, for protection, for display, for transportation of goods, or for keeping personal belongings. According to the demands of society and the times, liquor packages have been specialized and have appeared in almost every shape and size without restriction to cine particular type of material. In spite of its rapid development and wide application in our society, liquor package design has rarely been considered as a subject of comprehensive study. Majoring in package design, I have become especially interested in the area of liquor package design. I would like to explore liquor package design from several aspects. With the advent of new market and the rise of a new consumer society, advertising and mass media have expanded rapidly. While convenience of use is not a major issue, serving size certainly are quality, appeal of heritage and health concerns. Heritage is a major consumer appeal in Whisky, Beer, Wine and spirits. Designers have drawn heavily on the tradition of alcoholic products, have used type and graphics to create the illusion of heritage for new products. A sidelight to the heritage aspect of spirits package is the evolution of outer boxes for international liquors. International liquors package design illustrated the past and current themes. The design is contemporary and spare. Colored panels correlated to the liquor flavor used on clean white, black, gold boxes. While this research does not deny the impact of structural innovation and convenience package design , it does deny the existence of a graphic plateau. It is assumed therefore, that development in technology can facilitate communication between East and West. This can be accomplished because as containers of products are used in social setting, their form will gradually apply strong influence to the need for economical, easily handled, easily utilized packaging. Typically, ethnic package designs are those packages containing products which are prepared and marketed to a category of people who are prepared and marketed to a culture traits. They are liquor products sold in the metropolitan New York area which are marketed specially to Asians, Hispanics, or Eurpean population. These cultural groups share numerous traits including religion, language, dietary habits and traditional drinking styles. Therefore, the products which are familiar or common in their native countries are often imported or marketed there to serve them. These packages and products are frequently found on the shelves of supermarkets in predominantly ethnic areas. That is Korea, Japan if packaging is correctly design it would appeal to the American market. My research is that oriental beverage -Soju is good example of this precept. Assumedly, there must be a degree of subjectivity since it is a mean in which the consumers can relate to its advertising. This degree to relate and identify is the degree to which the package will be remembered and purchased. Subjectivity is intimately related to purchases since there is no such thing as a rational purchase in a society that operates on mass consumption. It is essential that packages become more personal human, entertaining, and more like advertising in order to maximize merchandising potential.

  • Even though the concept "Adaptive" was introduced in the late 50's, the main contribution to adaptive and/or self-tuning control has been made since late 70's. This paper describes the feature of adaptive control simulation package KERICON(I) developed in KERI. Informations on hardware environments, install and testing of a new algorithm and user interfacings are also summarized. The package is written in C language and currently being updated for expert-type adaptive control package (KERICON II).RICON II).

  • This research presents a modeling and a manufacturing method of insert type milling cutters such as face cutter, flat endmill and ball endmill. The methods introduced in this paper adopts the multi-tasking 5-axis machining that is increasing machining accuracy of holder and position accuracy of bolting points. So this can be used in the basic document of the total package program that involves modeling and manufacturing module in various insert cutters.

  • Removal of nitrogen and phosphate in wastewater is concerned to important for the prevention of eutrophication in receiving water and lake. Conventional activated sludge system designed for organics removal can be retrofitted only by modification of aeration basin to maintain anaerobic and aerobic state. Biological nutrient removal processes(BNR) such as Bardenpho, A$^{2}$/O, UCT, VIP were generally used for the treatment of wastewater. However these BNR processes used in large scale WWTP were not suitable in small scale WWTP(i.e., package type WWTP) due to relatively large fluctuation of flow rate and concentration of pollutants. The purpose of this research was to develop the compact, effective and economical package type WWTP for the removals of carbon and nitrogen in small scale wastewater. Intermittently aerated activated sludge system (IADFAS) were investigated for removal of nitrogen in both domestic wastewater, Bardenpho process was also evaluated. Nitrogen removal of IAAS, IADFAS, Bardenpho were 75, 77 and 67%, respectively.

  • Over-the-counter pharmaceuticals sold in convenience stores are accurate and easy to understand on its containers, packaging, or attached materials for the prevention of drug misuse. The limited space of the packaging, however, makes the information difficult to read and consequently, consumers have had difficulty in purchasing the products. This research conducted an analysis of 8 packages of pill-type drugs and conducted a survey and interviews targeting 10 foreigners and 20 Korean consumers to analyze the user consciousness. The findings of this study showed that fever remedies are the most frequently bought drug. And consumers first looked for the information of the drugs in the following order: the effects, dosage, and warnings. While domestic consumers had little difficulty in comprehending the information, more than 40% of the foreigners who were studies failed to comprehend it, which was because the package was entirely written in Korean. This study presented some ideas for improving the design by using English and foreign expressions and pictograms, consumers can easily and quickly understand, and by placing the information on the symptoms, dosage and age information so that the type of drugs will be easily discernible.

Hotel Reservation Service, Customer Expectations, Brand Attachment, and Brand Loyalty: Effects of Package Product Reservation

  • Purpose - This study examines various reservation service components that would increase customers' brand attachment and loyalty, while discussing how reservation service components would affect the customer behaviors. Research design, data, and methodology - This study theoretically analyzed the hotel package product reservation system, the customer expectations, the brand attachment, and the brand loyalty, while reviewing previous studies. Results - This study analyzed the distribution channels of the hotel package products from various angles and, as for more extensive research, the study explained the different results caused by each different reservation system type that may be preferred by each individual customer. Conclusions - It was confirmed that, of the hotel reservation service components, the convenience factors, the reliability factors, the information factors, and the other factors other than the human factors, have a significant influence on the customer expectations. Further, the study also revealed that the customer expectation has an important effect on the brand attachment. In addition, the study improved the prevailing understanding on the relation between the brand attachment and the brand loyalty.
