The Standard of Judgement on Plagiarism in Research Ethics and the Guideline of Global Journals for KODISA (KODISA 연구윤리의 표절 판단기준과 글로벌 학술지 가이드라인)

  • Purpose - In general, researchers try to abide by the code of research ethics, but many of them are not fully aware of plagiarism, unintentionally committing the research misconduct when they write a research paper. This research aims to introduce researchers a clear and easy guideline at a conference, which helps researchers avoid accidental plagiarism by addressing the issue. This research is expected to contribute building a climate and encouraging creative research among scholars. Research design, data, methodology & Results - Plagiarism is considered a sort of research misconduct along with fabrication and falsification. It is defined as an improper usage of another author's ideas, language, process, or results without giving appropriate credit. Plagiarism has nothing to do with examining the truth or accessing value of research data, process, or results. Plagiarism is determined based on whether a research corresponds to widely-used research ethics, containing proper citations. Within academia, plagiarism goes beyond the legal boundary, encompassing any kind of intentional wrongful appropriation of a research, which was created by another researchers. In summary, the definition of plagiarism is to steal other people's creative idea, research model, hypotheses, methods, definition, variables, images, tables and graphs, and use them without reasonable attribution to their true sources. There are various types of plagiarism. Some people assort plagiarism into idea plagiarism, text plagiarism, mosaic plagiarism, and idea distortion. Others view that plagiarism includes uncredited usage of another person's work without appropriate citations, self-plagiarism (using a part of a researcher's own previous research without proper citations), duplicate publication (publishing a researcher's own previous work with a different title), unethical citation (using quoted parts of another person's research without proper citations as if the parts are being cited by the current author). When an author wants to cite a part that was previously drawn from another source the author is supposed to reveal that the part is re-cited. If it is hard to state all the sources the author is allowed to mention the original source only. Today, various disciplines are developing their own measures to address these plagiarism issues, especially duplicate publications, by requiring researchers to clearly reveal true sources when they refer to any other research. Conclusions - Research misconducts including plagiarism have broad and unclear boundaries which allow ambiguous definitions and diverse interpretations. It seems difficult for researchers to have clear understandings of ways to avoid plagiarism and how to cite other's works properly. However, if guidelines are developed to detect and avoid plagiarism considering characteristics of each discipline (For example, social science and natural sciences might be able to have different standards on plagiarism.) and shared among researchers they will likely have a consensus and understanding regarding the issue. Particularly, since duplicate publications has frequently appeared more than plagiarism, academic institutions will need to provide pre-warning and screening in evaluation processes in order to reduce mistakes of researchers and to prevent duplicate publications. What is critical for researchers is to clearly reveal the true sources based on the common citation rules and to only borrow necessary amounts of others' research.

A Study on Sungkyunkwan(成均館) dining room and dietary culture described in Banjungjabyoung (조선시대 성균관 유생의 식생활에 대한 고찰 ${\ulcorner}반중잡영(泮中雜詠){\lrcorner}$을 중심으로-)

  • Sungkyunkwan was the highest national education institute of confucianism in the Chosun dynasty. from the historical view of foodservice in Korea, Sungkyunkwan dining room(進士食堂) might be the oldest systematized school foodservice and it was thought that the Korean word of dining room(食堂) was originated from this. The Sungkyunkwan dining room was built in the period of King Tae-jong(太宗) in 1413 and developed during 500 years through the Chosun dynasty. The dining room was not only an eating place but also providing the specific food culture of students. About 200 students studied in Sungkyunkwan and they lived together, and the government of the dynasty made many rules and by-laws to regulate them. Wonjeom(圓點) regulation was one of them. Wonjeom(圓點) was recorded in the register of attendance(到記) in the dining room and the students could obtain 1 point if they attended at the dining room in the morning and the evening in one day. If the students did not obtain the certain points of Wonjeom, they were not qualified for the national examination(大科). And there were so many eating customs and self-regulations in the dining room they were referred in many literatures, such as ${\ulcorner}$the true records of the Chosun dynasty(朝鮮王朝實錄)${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$Taehak-Ji(太學志)${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$Banjungiabyoung${\lrcorner}$. In this study, poems in $\boxDr$Banjungjabyoung$\boxUl$, about the Sungkyunkwan dining room and the eating customs such as the eating etiquettes, the daily 8 menu items, the special menus and the special day food, and the bestowal foods of King were reviewed.

A Fusion Program of Tea Ceremony and Applications to Reduce the Cultural Adaptation Stress of Chinese Students in Korea (중국 유학생의 문화적응 스트레스 감소를 위한 참나다례와 앱의 융합 프로그램)

  • Recently, at university, the number of international students from China is increasing, and we want to improve their adaptation to college life, In this research, we applied a fusion program of the tea ceremony to respect and to enhance true self through tea culture for Chinese students and seeing the tea ceremony application in Chinese. The targeting 10 international students in T University of P City have participated directly to the tea ceremony experience program once a week for 4 sessions, and watching the tea ceremony app twice or more everyday for 30 days. As the result, the average stress score of cultural adaptation of Chinese students before participating in the program was 98.5 (SD 9.63), and after participating in the program that was 93.9 (SD 9.67). And it was confirmed that the stress score level of cultural adaptation before and after participation in the program was significantly different (Z=6.702***, P=.000). Therefore, this program can be effective to reduce the cultural adaptation stress to Chinese students.

Effect of cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) education performed by health teachers on middle school students (보건교사가 수행한 중학생 심폐소생술 교육 효과)

  • CPR education to school students is one of the key points to higher bystander CPR rate. The object of this study is to evaluate the results after CPR education to middel school students by health teachers compared to that of pre-education status. During 3 monthes from Mar. to Jun. 2014, the observation data before and after CPR education were analysed through Chi-square test and McNemar's test using SPSS, SAS programs from 812 middle school students in Busan prov. After stratifying those surveyed by genders and previous CPR education experiences, each stratified groups showed positive changes of statistical significnace in all aspects of the knowledge, will, and self-confidence about CPR. (p<0.05). It is the more desirable method to increase bystander CPR that the CPR education including knowledge and practice was done to middle school students by health teachers. To come true these CPR education, more studies are necessary about policy development to support education tranining tools in a community.

  • The geometrical parameters, vibrational frequencies, and relative energies for 1,2-, 1,3-dioxetanes, and 1,3-cyclodisiloxane have been investigated using high level ab initio quantum mechanical techniques with large basis sets. The geometries have been optimized at the self-consistent field(SCF), the single and double excitation configuration interaction(CISD), the coupled cluster with single and double excitation(CCSD), and the CCSD with connected triple excitations[CCSD(T)] levels of theory. The highest level of theory employed in this study is TZ2P CCSD(T). Harmonic vibrational frequencies and IR intensities are also determined at the SCF level of theory with various basis sets and confirm that all the optimized geometries are true minima. Also zero-point vibrational energies have been considered to predict the dimerization energies for 1,2- and 1,3-isomers.

  • After National Mathematics Education Advanced Plan represented in 2012, mathematics education fields began to attention to 'Storytelling'. Because the plan contains important topics, reinforcing mathematics education, improving understanding about mathematics, and enhancing self-guided learning. As one of the methods for improving understanding about mathematics, Storytelling in mathematics is emphasizing recently. The purpose of this study is to analyse the articles about 'Storytelling Mathematics' to find how the media report it. Also, we discuss the direction of Storytelling in mathematics education. The conclusion of this study is that most of the privately-owned company is using the Storytelling as a tool for advertising commercially. Readers have to make a decision which articles are true or useful. A policy makers must ponder how the 'Storytelling Mathematics' policy affect the demands and suppliers in education.

  • Inertial Navigation System Alignment is the process to determine direction cosine matrix which is the transformation matrix between the INS body frame and navigation frame. INS initial position value is necessary to INS attitude calculation, so that user should wait until he get such value to start the INS alignment. To remove the waiting time, we propose an alignment algorithm that immediately starts after the INS power on by using pseudo initial position input and then is completed with attitude error compensation by entering true position later. We analyse effect of INS sensor error on attitude in process of time and verify the performance and usefulness of the close-loop alignment algorithm which corrects attitude error from the change of initial position.

Survey of the Life Expectancy Management of Fire Products (소방용품 내용연수 관리실태 조사 분석)

  • Currently, the maintenance of fire products at the site of fire-fighting property are presumably carried out by a fireand/or self. On the other hand, of the special fire-fighting property, only 3.4% of them are the target for a comprehensive precision inspection, which is performed by fire protection management firms. Aging fire products for the rest of special fire-fighting property are absolutely beyond any inspection and reliability verification. This is also true with respect to general households. In this report, the current practice of fire products' useful life management at the site of fire-fighting property were studied. For this study, 32 items of fire products were identified. For the sample data, public institutions and 17 cities and provinces were classified into 18 groups, from which 30 sample targets for each group were determined. Of these targets 422 samples were recovered, based on which this study for establishing a useful 'Management Control System of the Fire Products and its Useful Life' was conducted.

  • Soil particles from rainfall flow into reservoir and give lots of influence in water quality because the Even though techniques related with computer and communications are growing rapidly, it is true that efforts for hydrological survey and the management of its results have not been made enough to make use of the state-of-the-art technologies. Among the water-related techniques, measurement of river discharge is the most important one because these data are basic to almost every field of the hydrological science. In this research, a large-scale particle image velocimetry (LSPIV) unit has been designed and constructed to measure river discharge effectively In field conditions. Measured data using this unit is compared with the results recorded by the microwave water surface current meter (MWSCM) at the same location. The purpose of this research is to propagate the feasibility of using the MWSCM for river discharge velocimetry.

  • Architectural drawing has been changing from the general notion, in which it is to predict what it may be like for purely practical purpose. Particularly amongst the Deconstructivists' work, graphic elements make a great contribution to the realization of their self expressive style. Whereas these are often chosen for solely aesthetic reasons, there are some cases in which the act of drawing itself is a crucial, investigative process. This is true of Daniel Libeskind's architectural drawing. For him, Typography seems to be characteristic of his drawing. He Harness typographic elements as metaphors for hid abstract symbolism through his architectural drawings, which retain the possibility to relate to the more radical typographic approaches. Within this context, this thesis will argue how the typographic elements in Daniel Libeskind's architectural drawings can be interpreted. What interconnection can be made between the two practices\ulcorner How can these elements be incorporated into architecture\ulcorner Can they be involved in it as a main constituent\ulcorner This thesis explores diverse possibilities of interpretation of his architectural drawing through typological approaches to the cases where type itself meets the different media and signific ation is given to the other typographic elements.
