도전성 고무 매트를 이용한 수소 기반 시설에서 제전 신뢰성 향상 (Conductive Rubber for Enhanced Safety in Hydrogen-based Facilities from Electrostatic Discharge)

  • Hydrogen-based electricity and transportation systems are widely recognized as sustainable power sources. However, the low ignition energy of hydrogen, only 1/10th that of conventional fossil fuels, poses a safety concern involving the risk of ignition due to electrostatic discharge from facility workers. Therefore, anti-static systems are imperative for hydrogen-based electricity facilities. To address this, we propose a reliable conductive rubber mat (CRM) to ensure the safety of these facilities. Unlike conventional anti-static floors that utilize conductive paint (CP), the CRM features a uniform distribution of conductive components in chemically and mechanically stable rubber. As a result, the CRM is unyielding to polar solvents (such as ethanol and hydrosulfuric acid) and non-polar solvents (like mineral oil) without increasing its resistance. Moreover, the CRM can withstand mechanical stress. Consequently, the human-body voltage of workers on the CRM would be sufficiently low enough to protect them from hydrogen explosions, thereby enhancing overall safety.

항공안전을 위한 인간공학적 대응 (A Human Factors Approach for Aviation Safety)

  • Objective: The purpose of this paper is to review, with the main focus on aviation safety technology and management program, how human factors are currently taken into consideration within transportation sectors, especially aviation, and to further share related information. Background: Human factors account for the majority of aviation accidents/incidents. Thus, the aviation sector has been comparatively quick in developing and applying technologies and management programs that deal with human factors. This paper reviews the latest safety technologies and management programs regarding human factors and aims to identify the trend. Method: This paper, based on literature research and practical experience, examines the latest international standards on technologies and management programs, those that deal with human factors and are adopted by international and domestic aviation organization. The main focus of discussion is how human factors are reflected during the system design and operation process. Results: The current most important issue in designing is the consideration of human factors in Cockpit, Automation, and Safety system technology design. From an operational point of view, the issues at hand are screening and training aviation workers to promote aviation safety, providing education on human factors and CRM/TEM, and running a safety management program to implement SMS. They were discussed based on the operational experience within the aviation sector. Conclusion: Major examples of a human factors approach to promote aviation safety are safety programs and various safety and monitoring technologies applied to aviation personnel for error management. These programs must be managed in an integrated manner that takes both the system designing and operational point of view into account. Application: It is thought that the human factors approach for promoting aviation safety reviewed in this paper can be extended and applied to safety management programs in other transportation sectors such as the railroad, maritime, road traffic etc.

통근행태와 건강과의 연관성 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Association of Commuting Behavior with Individual Health)

  • 본 연구에서는 수도권의 직장인들을 대상으로 통근행태와 건강과의 연관성을 규명하고자 하였다. 연구는 행정/사무/관리/연구직 등 대체로 앉아서 근무하는 직장인 1,285명의 통근행태뿐만 아니라 키와 몸무게, 혈압, 콜레스테롤 등 건강상태를 포함하여 설문조사한 결과를 분석하였다. 건강지수를 측정하는 방법으로는 통근행태를 통하여 신체활동의 운동량을 확인할 수 있는 통근수단, 이용기간, 차외시간, 총 통행시간, 환승여부, 대체수단 여부 등을 이용하였다. 분석결과 승용차를 이용하는 통근자에 비하여 비승용차를 이용하는 통근자들의 건강상태가 보다 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 버스와 도보를 이용하는 통근자는 비만 감소와 혈압, 콜레스테롤의 개선에 기여하고 있으며, 반면 지하철을 이용하는 통근자들은 비만과 콜레스테롤의 감소에 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 승용차 이용기간이 긴 통근자는 비만과 혈압, 그리고 콜레스테롤이 보다 안 좋은 것으로 나타났다.

Safety and Health Perceptions in Work-related Transport Activities in Ghanaian Industries

  • Background: With the recent rapid industrialization, occupational safety and health (OSH) has become an important issue in all industrial and human activities. However, incidents of injuries and fatality rates in the Ghanaian industry sector continue to increase. Despite this increase, there is no evidence regarding the element of OSH management in transport activities in Ghanaian industries. Thus, this study aims to examine the perceptions regarding the importance of safety and health in work-related transport activities in Ghanaian industries. Methods: A survey data collection technique was used to gather information on best safety practices over a 5-month period. We randomly selected 298 respondents from industries to answer structured questionnaires. The respondents included drivers, transport managers, and safety engineers. Standard multiple regression model and Pearson product-movement correlation were used to performed the analysis. Results: The result shows that for interventions to improve safety and health, concentration has been on drivers' safety practice with less attention to safe driving environments and vehicle usage. Additionally, the respondents are aware of the importance of OSH in transport activities, but the level of integration does not measure up to the standard to reduce operational accidents and injuries. Finally, strong commitment to changing unsafe practices at all levels of operations appears to be the effective way to improve safety situations. Conclusion: OSH culture is not fully complied in industries transport activities. This study, therefore, supports the use of safety seminars and training sessions for industry workers responsible for transport operations for better integration of safety standards.

국내 화학사고의 휴먼에러 기반 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Human-errors in Major Chemical Accidents in Korea)

  • This study analyses the types, related operations, facilities, and causes of chemical accidents in Korea based on the RISCAD classification taxonomy. In addition, human error analysis was carried out employing different human error classification criteria. Explosion and fire were major accident types, and nearly half of the accidents occurred during maintenance operation. In terms of related facility, storage devices and separators were the two most frequently involved ones. Results of the human error-based analysis showed that latent human errors in management level are involved in many accidents as well as active errors in the field level. Action errors related to unsafe behavior leads to accidents more often compared with the checking behavior. In particular, actions missed and inappropriate actions were major problems among the unsafe behaviors, which implicates that the compliance with the work procedure should be emphasized through education/training for the workers and the establishment of safety culture. According to the analysis of the causes of the human error, the frequency of skill-based mistakes leading to accidents were significantly lower than that of rule-based and knowledge based mistakes. However, there was limitation in the analysis of the root causes due to limited information in the accident investigation report. To solve this, it is suggested to adopt advanced accident investigation system including the establishment of independent organization and improvement in regulation.

행동기반 안전관리(Behavior Based Safety: BBS) 프로그램이 버스 기사 및 승객의 안전행동에 미치는 효과 검증: 현장 사례 연구 (The Effect of Behavior Based Safety Program on Safe Behaviors of Bus Drivers and Passengers: A Field Case Study)

  • This study examined the effect of Behavior Based Safety(BBS) program on safe behaviors of bus drivers and passengers. Four male bus drivers working at a H transportation company situated in Seoul participated in this study. BBS program consisted of education, prompts, and self-monitoring with goal setting. Dependent variables were the percentage of two safe driving behaviors of bus drivers (departure after stopping for 3 seconds, announcement for holding bus handles) and the percentage of one safe behavior of passengers getting on the busses those drivers drove (holding bus handles). A primary observer and two trained assistant observers measured two safe behaviors of the bus drivers with behavior checklists by riding on the busses and the passengers' safe behavior was observed by CCTV installed on each bus. An ABC multiple baseline design across participants was adopted. After baseline(A), education and prompts(B) and self-monitoring with goal setting(C) were introduced sequentially to each participant. The results showed that BBS program was effective to increase both bus drivers' and passengers' safe behaviors. Especially self-monitoring with goal setting was more effective in improving safe behaviors of bus drivers than education/prompts. These results suggest that education/prompts and self-monitoring with goal setting would be an alternative treatment technique to improve safety for lone workers such as bus drivers.

철도소화물 운송사업에 관한 연구 (Evaluation of Rail Parcel Service and Policy Recommendations)

  • 철도소화물사업은 도로발달, 택배사업 활성화로 1990년 2,520만개를 정점으로 취급물량이 최근 10년간 연평균 10%이상 급속히 감소하였으며. 취급역도 '73년 421개역에서 현재 90개역만 남아있는 상황이다. 경영성적 측면에서 보면 '88년 이후부터 위탁수수료 지급이 운송수입보다 많아 $'99{\sim}'03$년 동안 연평균 52억원의 적자('04년 49억)를 기록하였으며, 인건비, 유지관리비 등을 포함하는 원가기준으로는 2004년도에 464억원의 적자를 기록한 바 있다. 이에 따라, 2005년 1월 1일 철도청의 공사화 이후 효율성 제고 차원에서 철도소화물사업의 축소 폐지가 제기되고 있어 본 사업에 대한 깊이 있는 연구가 시급한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 철도소화물사업의 문제점과 택배와의 경쟁력분석을 통한 철도소화물사업의 장래전망을 수행하였으며, 본 사업의 폐지방안과 폐지효과를 제시하였다.

과자류의 굽기공정에 미생물학적 한계기준 설정에 관한 연구 (Study of the Microbiological Limitation Standards Setting of Baking Processing by Confectionery)

  • 본 연구는 과자류의 HACCP(Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)시스템 적용을 위한 연구이다. 본 실험에 사용된 시료는 과자류의 주원료, 작업장 시설, 도구와 작업자는, 2014년 9월 1일~2015년 1월 15일까지 충남 계룡시 소재에 있는 LB 업체에서 제공받았다. 제조공정도는 일반적인 과자류 제조업체의 제조공정을 참고로 하여 원료 농산물(쌀가루, 계란, 밀가루), 부재료, 용수와 포장재료의 입고, 보관, 계량, 배합, 성형, 가열(굽기), 냉각, 금속검출, 내포장, 외포장 및 출하공정으로 작성하였다. 원료농산물의 미생물학적 위해요소 분석결과 일반세균수는 계란에서 $6.2{\times}10^3CFU/g$로 가장 많이 검출되었다. 하지만, 굽기공정 이후의 미생물검사 결과는 모든 균이 검출되지 않아 안전한 것으로 나타났다. 하지만, 작업장 전체에 체계적인 세척 및 소독을 실시하여 미생물학적 위해를 감소시키고 작업자 위생교육 등을 통하여 위생개념 향상과 작업장의 위생관리가 함께 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각된다.

부산항 컨테이너터미널의 경쟁력 제고를 위한 전략에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Strategies for the Container Terminal in Pusan)

  • This paper aims to derive the strategies for the container terminal in Pusan. So it has focused on analyzing the current conditions of Pusan container terminal while evaluating the difficulties arising from the existing facilities/equipment and the operating system in the Pusan Korea Container Terminal through the workers at the container terminal and at off-dock CY. The object of this study is to assist the existing terminals to operate the facilities/equipment reasonably and to contribute shaping the ports policy which will be the basis of constructing new ports that will remain competitive while maintaining superiority over the ports in northeast area. According to the analysis 68% of the supplier answered that their terminal services which are the most important factor in running a terminal were superior to the other while only 28% of the user answered that they thought the current services were superior. For the areas of supplementing the terminal the people working at the terminal answered in the order of business operation equipment the number of berth service and management ability while the user answered in the order of service computer system transportation system and equipment. According to the regression analysis it became clear that there should be more effort toward improving or supplementing the facility scale facility usage charge transportation facilities which will assist in developing competitiveness of the terminal. It was also noted that management ability and business ability were mentioned as the important factors in operating a terminal.

회계서비스종사자 전문성과 회계정보시스템 수준이 고객사 회계정보의 질에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Accounting Service Worker's Professionalism and Accounting Information System's Level on the Quality of Customer's Accounting Information)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 회계서비스종사자의 전문성과 회계정보시스템 수준을 분석하여 고객사 회계정보의 질에 미치는 영향을 질적 특성을 중심으로 검증하는 것이다. 연구방법은 먼저 문헌에 의한 이론적 배경을 살펴본 후 설문에 의한 자료를 토대로 가설을 세우고 경험적 연구를 하였다. 그 결과 회계서비스종사자의 전문성을 필요로 하는 회계정보시스템으로 서비스를 제공받은 고객사는 질적 특성 중에서 충실한 표현에 가장 만족하는 것으로 나타났으며, 적시성이 가장 만족감이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 회계서비스종사자의 전문성 인지와 향상에 기여할 것이며, 향후 회계정보의 질을 높이기 위한 회계서비스종사자의 교육과 훈련의 내용 및 방법에 대한 논의가 필요하다.
